I loved the Tucson location. It was sad and shocking to me that Downtown folk moved on to the explosion of new downtown restaurants and left Shot in the Dark twisting in the wind. S. I. T. D. Cafe will be my first meal when I get to British Columbia! Lost one star for not being open all night. It is in Canada!

Great food. Great atmosphere and a great location across from the park and ocean. The downside: It is a shame in this age that there is no publicly available Wifi available (Only via ShawOpen - which requires an account). This would be a cafe that is frequently visiting by international travellers where getting on the internet to research your next location, email a loved one, or just to check on your Facebook. I am ashamed.

Amazingly delicious eggs benny! The service was very friendly and generous. Everyone who came remarked that their previous meal there had been fatastic. Nice atmosphere and view of a park and the sea. Had the coffee been exceptional too I would rate it 5 stars. As it was the coffee was passable.

We popped in for a quick sandwich and soup before an appointment. After 40 min we had to ask for a refund because we hadn't received our sandwich and we were going to be late. However, the soup was good.

My wife and I just had a Denver Sandwich in this Cafe and I can tell you. I have travelled all over the world and I have never had anything that came even close to what they handed us this morning. It was amazing. It's a really good job we decided to split one sandwich because neither of us would have been able to have eaten a whole one each. Friendly guys, great coffee and good food.

Awesome menu, awesome service and best of all awesome sandwiches and food. You will not leave hungry or disappointed! All that for a couple bucks more than you'd pay at Subway. Do yourself a favour and support the local guys with fresh local ingredients.

I went here for a latte, and the server was quite abrupt, his machine had old milk residue all over the steam wand, ewww ( should be cleaned after every drink). when I asked for sugar, he didnt ask for how much, nor did he properly stir the drink. Lastly the latte was not memorable lacked flavor, can’t believe they call themselves a cafe.

Hidden gem. They do awesome food with huge portions. Really great breakfast and lunch options not to mention really tasty coffee. I got the Denver Eggxtreme and a cranberry muffin. I can't wait to come back again for some more delicious food.

The owner is super friendly and made a great food recommendation! The Seaside Eggstreme was huge and delicious... and made with WILD salmon, not that gross farmed crap. Double Americano was fantastic too. Overall great place, great staff, and delicious food! Also, there is now good fast WiFi.

Good food, large portions, clubhouse is 3 huge layers that only a wolf or cougar could wrap in it’s jaws, please visit this place and ask for soup, not having soup available for a Friday lunch was a disappointment especially when special signs featured soups

Awesome spot on the water in Campbell River. Free 2 hour parking across the street. Easy to eat vegetarian here! I had the vege sandwich and it was massive and very fresh bread. Also had an almond milk latte which was lovely. For sure eat here for any meal and coffee over any of the chains!!

Spent a ton of time here because it's a great place. Chose it because of the good coffee, beautiful view of the park and harbor, and good vibes for working or hanging out. Friendly staff put up with me for a month while I camped out writing a master's thesis. Food was good- pricey but portions large.

Of the three times I have been to this establishment, I have eaten here once. The first time I went I arrived an hour before closing time, and the girl behind rolled her eyes at me and told me they were closing. We left without her saying another word. The 2nd time I was greeted with a blank stare and when I asked about ingredients she didn't have an answer for me. However I got food and enjoyed the taste and quantity. 3rd time today, an hour before the listed close time was told they were closing in a very rude manner by a gentleman. They told me they were out of food. As I work in the restaurant industry I understand it gets busy and things happen, however I do not believe it is necessary to treat paying guests terribly. You should be thankful you have people wanting to come to your restaurant. I guess however and unfortunately seems to be almost the standard in Campbell River.

I had a terrible experience here when I bit into a glittery fake nail which was inside my sandwich. After I notified the counter staff he claimed that it wasn’t his nail and then said it was probably “one of his girls” who left the nail. He offered to remake the sandwich and when I declined he offered to refund only my sandwich. When the debit machine didn’t work to refund he didn’t have change and asked for $10cash for change for a $20 to make the refund for only my sandwich order. When we didn’t have the cash he reluctantly offered the $20 out of the $40 we spent at the place. Me and my group just left our sandwiches on the table not impressed with our experience.

Ordered an Iced Americano with vanilla and room for cream. Straight forward enough. Austin accidentally made me a hot Americano. All good, easy fix. When I told him that I ordered an iced one he was unimpressed. He dumped a third of the drink down the sink and scooped ice into the piping hot water, wrecking the ratio. He topped it all the way up, and I had to ask for room for cream again. Another third of the drink goes down the sink. I tried to just roll with it, but the service and product was actually terrible. Went and had him remake it, was still very poor. They serve cold drinks in hot drink cups. They have an unsanitary dishwashing area where soap was not being used. Inexperienced barista that was more concerned with being "cool" than with customer experience. Would not return, or encourage anyone to bother.

Got here at 1025 to try out the raved eggs benny. Was greeted with absolute sass and rudeness. My wife and i ordered the eggs benny and got a blank stare back and felt like we were doing them a disservice. She told the older fella that we ordered two eggs benny and he got upset and said no more breakfast after that which sucks because we came as a party of 4 and they refused to make the other two any breakfast. We ordered 2 peach ice teas and 20 mins later she told us theyre out of peach... Over all the food was good. But the service would make me never come back if i was in canpbell river. Id like to note that the younger tall guy was actually very nice. Too bad they treat him like a slave.

Sean was so helpful dealing with my food allergies, prepared one of the best meals I've eaten out since the allergies struck. The bread, (which I unfortunately couldn't eat) was made fresh by a local baker and was so good we took a loaf home. Excellent food, delightful staff.

So yeah... I came in and the lady and gentleman behind the counter could not have been more hostile and moody. When you’re willing to pay upwards of 17 dollars for a sandwich it’s nice to have it served with a smile. We waited outside and when I came back in the lady didn’t even remember me being literally her last customer. I’ve come here every time I visit cambell River and was seriously disappointed. Of course the sandwich was good... but the service was the weirdest, moodiest and quite simply you shouldn’t be opening your restaurant if you are going to act like that. Also... when someone asks for cream in their coffee don’t just slam two individual creamers on a plate and expect them to be like... thank you. Will never eat here again. It was like eating a spite sandwich with a cup of misery beside it.
