ON THE RUN... just dropped in 'cause we heard it is OK!... WRONGO this place is excellent! Fresh interior and fresh faces at the bar. We had the MA brewing Blonde Sleeve and a Cappuccino. Both drinks superior! We spied at the clever food dishes departing the kitchen. All perfect. Campbell River deserves a NOW place like this with spirited staff to serve and permit you to relax. We also ventured into the SPIN ROOM and were inspired to return when our Beer & Bong lifestyle subsides. A Yin & Yang center for sure... CONGRATS!

Great social distancing and cleanliness going on here. They had one or two vegan options - my friend and I got the "Buddha bowl" - I liked it a lot. It was very healthy, delicious, and had a good mix of crunchy, sweet, and salty. They also had a vegan sausage pizza that would have to be modified to be vegan. Great view of the mountains and water!

Session has brought Campbell River into the 21st century!! Just what this city needed. The space is amazing, such a great vibe! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, I tried kombucha for the first time and loved it, they even offer it in a growler so you can take it home! The craft beers are forever changing so there’s always a new one to try. Their pizza was delicious and the salad I had was so fresh! Now I can’t wait to get my spin on !!

Ate here 3 times in two days so...yeah we loved it! Very interesting business model as it has a spin cycle class in the back. Food is very good. Had an artisan toast for first breakfast- good for a lighter appetite, today went for the cast iron French toast bread pudding ????. My fellow diners had the biscuit sandwiches for brekkie and really enjoyed them. Dinner: nice cocktails and good local brews selection, dinner menu is not as extensive- pizza, burgers and a few other small plates, but very well done. Convenient location facing the water.

Overpriced. Rude host. Kombucha was $9 made in house, the flavor was good but unfortunately ruined because it tasted like it was watered down 50% , store bought is better and cheaper...we had the vegan walnut crumble "sausage" pizza. With cashew fermented cheese alternative. I asked for jalapeños, they had run out... so banana peppers. Good thing too, because the pizza was salty and had no acid component. The banana peppers were necesary. Overall the pizza was good quality and tastey, thanks to my addition. I can't recommend the place tbh. Although there are not many options in CR.

Loved this place! They have great pizzas! The flavor combination are creative and complementary. Our favorites were Lord of the Pie and the Margarita. They have an expansive drink menu with lots of cocktail options. Would definitely come back here for their pizzas.

Great addition to Campbell River. Love that I didn't have to buy clip in shoes or bring a towel, they have everything you need there plus a locked room during each class for valuables. Love the idea of fitness + dining, fun way to bring a touch of the big city fitness scene to CR. Staff is friendly, professional and accommodating: spin instructors are experienced and motivating.

This is a wonderful place for food and especially for local brews. Session are committed to sourcing locally for cheese, meat, and flour as well as craft beers wherever possible. I tried the Raspberry Sour beer by the Electric Bicycle Brewing Company and it was wondrous. There are vegetarian and vegan options too and Session opens until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

I'm from Courtenay, this place will definitely be on my motorcycle cruise route come the warmer weather. 11 Beers on Tap. A good variety of different brewers. A rotating cider tap. Hard liquor also. Menu made to please. Pizzas the thin crust variety. Has a couple of tvs over the bar. Happy hour 3-5 weekdays, {see my photos for pricing} Oh my, the washroom. Real towels to dry your hands. How great is that. Now if someone would open another in the Saratoga area, the would be a nice cruise with stops.

This place is a solid 3.5. My pizza had over large pieces of pineapple and the crust was not cooked through. The beer was delightful and the magic of North-Vancouver two river meat is what makes this place have good pizzas. The service and care were inadequate.

From the entrance to the way the tables are; to stepping through the Front door to wait to be seated! The day I went it was very busy with customers, they even have a patio! Wish I could try some Of their Beer! So I recommend take that first step & give them a try if you haven't already... Also say Hi to "Chris" he's your cook...

Had a perfect patio lunch here almost facing the water. The pizza was excellent - crust had just the right amount of spring, and the fresh ingredient combinations were just right - especially the earthy portobello with thr rich pancetta cracklings. You order from the counter - service was friendly and pizzas came out quite quickly! Finally, try the elderflower kombucha - just right for the summer.

They offer a unique rotation of both food and beer, and their cocktails should not be overlooked as they are delicious and affordable. Completely rude staff. Ordered a canned beer and received the wrong one. I kindly said that this was not what we ordered, expecting it to be a quick and easy fix. The server (who may have been the manager?) brought back the correct beer and made a snide comment in a rude and petty voice: “this is not the beer you ordered” and walked away before we could even respond. I called the server back and began to explain to her what had happened, that she had become confused as I had asked what this beer was but it was not the beer that was ordered. Server continued to talk over me and be completely uncalled for. I have been a server for many years and this situation, even if we WERE wrong, should never have resulted like this. I have brought someone the wrong beer before and I apologized and brought them a new one, it always ends fine and the customers are happy! As I said, even if we were wrong, it should be a quick and easy “okay, we’ll fix that for you!” Which I have also done as a server! I was completely shaken up because I was hoping for a nice dinner out and ended up completely anxious and confused about why we were being treated in this way. I also refrained from posting this as I did not want to leave a bad review for one bad experience, but I shared my experience over Facebook, refraining from any blaming in the situation and simply stating that I was disappointed with our experience, and was met with laughing emojis ???? I am baffled at this establishments customer service and am leaving this here because this situation is completely ridiculous and laughable that the employees are so petty they can’t even do their job correctly ???????? for future reference, try to not act rudely to customers who have done nothing to you ????

This is a really cool spot in Campbell River, but I feel as though they are missing on the execution. The staff are really friendly, but service was pretty slow. Not sure if they were short staffed the day we visited, or if this is normal. The hummus is really good, but the pizzas were all disappointing... I think they need to reduce the toppings and adjust the price accordingly. They are using too many toppings, which results in a soggy pizza. For example, the pizza with habanero (I forget the name) had far too many mushrooms; the base was soggy and you couldn’t taste anything else.

Very nice casual place for lunch. Good service and nice views from some tables. Food is a bit different which I like. No club sandwich or fries. Lots of healthy choices with pesto base. Prices are rather high. We shared an $18 pizza, but my husband could have eaten all of it. A very thin crust. Nice drink menu. Cheesecake featured was just a mousse.

This place hits all the high notes! Loved my visit to Session Taproom. The staff were friendly and they've quickly adapted to the covid era. Had the beasty boy pizza which was delicious and layered with toppings including elk. There were a surprising number of brews on tap and I enjoyed a cider also. Branding and ambience is on point. Feels very easy and very relaxed whilst having quick service.

A big breath of fresh air. I'm only new to Campbell River but it's by far the most modern, friendly and dynamic place I've seen in CR. The beers are in rotation which means you can always try something new and the good looked very tasty... will have to come back to taste it though. Even though the combo beer and spin is odd, it's very original The decor is tasteful and modern yet not pretentious. Best of all the staff is super friendly and knowledgable about beers!

With the place packed, the staff still accommodated our group of 4 by bringing in two chairs from the corner to huddle around the 2 person table until more room opened up. Everything we ordered on the menu was out of this world. I can’t count the number of maple bourbon sours I had - they were so delicious. I’ve never seen crust SO thin on a pizza. I mean seriously, couples date night was memorable and I look forward to going again!

We had a vegetarian pizza and quinoa salad that were super fresh and tasted amazing. The service was excellent and the restaurant/bar area is soo nicely decorated and set out. Great vibes for sure!! We took a spin class the next morning after our healthy dinner and it was an awesome workout but fun at the same time. Highly recommend coming into this new place for a beer, food or fitness. I have always loved this place, and it became my go-to brunch place, but I’ve recently noticed some changes in the quality of the food, cocktails and service. My partner and I went for brunch- he ordered a pepperoni pizza and I ordered the huevos diablo, subbing mushroom for the sausage, as I don’t eat meat. We were the only two covers in the place. After 30 minutes I saw his pizza at the pass... and then about 10 minutes later my breakfast. It then sat for almost 5 minutes. When it was finally carried to our table, his pizza was ice cold, and my eggs were missing. I pointed out the oversight and my meal disappeared. By the time my eggs were added to my now-cold meal, my partner had finished his pizza. I asked for my food to be warmed... at this point we have been here for ages, we are still the only two people, and I’m beyond hangry. FINALLY my meal makes it to the table but I wasn’t offered ketchup or hot sauce... so I followed my server back up to the counter, only to be told that if I wanted ketchup or hot sauce I needed to order it when my order was placed as they now charge for it! Are you kidding me?! I’ll need to pay for ketchup with my potatoes?! So I checked the menu, and no where does it say that there is a charge associate with such a request... so not sure what’s going on... I mentioned it to the other person working there, and he said it’s going to be implemented soon on the new menus. You’ve been warned... basic condiments are no longer provided. In conclusion, I won’t be going back... when this place opened, my breakfast came with fingerling potatoes (yummmm!) and meals were cooked with care and delivered to the table quickly. I didn’t mind the $15 price tag for something prepared with care, and unique to the area, but over time, the fingerlings have been replaced with chopped up Yukon golds, and now the service is terrible. Why am I still paying so much to sit and wait for an hour plus...? And the charge for ketchup or hot sauce? That’s appalling. Shame on you Sessions.

Great welcoming atmosphere, cute menu, draft beer fresh kombucha which is my favourite part. Great vegan options, Something for everyone. Great owners and down to earth team, come with friends or come alone and always feel welcome. I hear the spin is good too but I just come for the food! LOVE THE PIZZA!

Great food, each time we go. Pizza and kale caesar salad excellent and generally enjoy most everything we've tried. Fresh and local ingredients. Great staff, always friendly. Great coffees and dessert. Crazy busy there this past visit though so just a bit uncomfortable for the times we are in as not sure people are sticking to rules for eating out at moment, so prob will go only when less busy because of that. That last point is definitely not restaurant's fault as they seem to be doing everything to make the dining experience safe and enjoyable.
