Royal aroma is THE BEST place for curry. What I do is buy the curry sauce at Royal aroma, take it home and make baked curry chicken. The curry sauce costs 10.50 and you can get 6 to 8 chicken legs for about 5 to 6 bucks. Cook up some rice and enjoy a curried chicken on rice. If chicken is not your thing, use beef, lamb or even veggies. This is a cheap way of having a great meal.

Great food and even greater customer service!! I'm very familiar with authentic Indian food and this restaurant even has some items in their menu that you won't find in most other Indian restaurants. They are open till 10.00 pm on Sundays as well. Highly recommended!!

We ordered take out, when we got home and eat it it was BIG disappointment ! Food was watery and tasteless, we contacted the restaurant saying how disappointed we are, letting them know we are not going to be ordering their food or dine in as we are extremely disappointed, the response was that they are sorry and we should let them know next time we are planning to order… very odd response. Sad, We will not come back to Royal Aroma.

We went for the lunch buffet . We were greeted right away and seated. We both decided to have the buffet everything smelt good and was labeled. I asked the server if she would go over the items which she happily did. I knew what some of the dishes were by name but it was nice to be reminded and told what the others were. My only complaint is that the curries can taste quite similar so not much of a variety taste wise. It was all fresh and hot. The Naan was quite dry and small sample of a few of the dishes was all we could eat. We would just order off the menu next time because neither of us are able to eat bigger portions so it wasn't a great value for us. 2 drinks ( Ice Tea and Sprite) plus the 2 buffets was $45 with tip.

This is a lovely restaurant! I got pakora, lamb mango curry a side of naan and rice, with a Peshawari naan for dessert. All were delicious. Although the pakora were slightly salty, so if you are sensitive to salt maybe try something else from their amazing menu. I especially loved the lamb mango curry as it was slightly sweet and had a wonderful aroma, truly Royal ;). I will definitely return!

I came in tonight, Monday feb 1st, and ordered take out. I cannot even begin to describe the incredible smell and the wonderful, welcoming atmosphere inside. The portions are huge! Everything tasted soooo good. I highly recommend coming here!!! We will definitely be back!

We have visited Zayka twice now and agree with other reviewers that the food is quite good. Despite being a buffet. We have ordered take out as well, service was fast and food was again well prepared. The only complaint was that the take-out portions are a bit on the small side. All that considered still gets 5 stars when ranked against other CR restaurant offerings.

Last week we had the pleasure of dining at the Royal Zayka in Campbell River. The server was not only very professional, but bright and cheery. Items on the menu were explained very efficiently. The food was made with quality ingredients and the tastes loved up to our highest expectations. You could customize the heat from mild to East Indian hot! I always have an amazing meal here, I try something different each time. I love the service and I must recommend the lamb biriyani and the tomato coriander soup with a side of garlic naan to dip in it. Also the Royal Mix plate is a great way to start off your meal. Mango Lassi for dessert too!

Had a delicious meal tonight at the Royal Aroma, our first visit but hopefully not our last - well worth future visits to explore their menu! The food was very tasty and nicely presented, and the service was very kind and friendly. Many variations of different Indian dishes, each with a variety of meats, as well as veggie options.

Really good food but watch for the muscles sometimes you won't get many.. we only got 7 out of I think 15.. but he also replaced it for me so I got another 7 out of 15 which made up for the price and got a full plate lol though it took 2 times to get a full plate..

Great food and friendly service! Our server was really accommodating of our dairy free needs. She suggested a deep fried cauliflower appetizer, which turned out to be my favourite. We were only in Campbell River for two days but we ate there twice. Highly recommend it.

At Royal Aroma we had a great time! Food is delicious and the size of the plates is generous. It's a quiet space and the personnel is very nice. It can get a bit busy for dinners at prime time, but nothing crazy. I will definitely come back for a fabulous meal.

I was BLOWN AWAY by this place. "Royal Aroma" couldn't describe it better--everything we ordered was fragrant and delicious and the food can stand up to any of the better Indian restaurants I've been to in Vancouver. My wife and I moved to Campbell River a month ago and honestly it is the best dining experience we've had here so far. The service was great too. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Try the Lamb Nawabi and the homemade Ras Malai, you won't be disappointed!

This place is excellent. One of our favorite spots. The food is always delicious and the service is so warm and welcoming. If you haven’t eaten here yet, for sure go. If you have, then already know! The only semi fine dining Indian restaurant with chefs and serviceing personal from India. Good food, tasty, value for the money as they serve appropriate portion size. Nice ambiance, good seating arrangement with licensed bar. Reservation not necessary during off season, however it is wise to call and reserve during summers. Friendly and dedicated customer service exists but at time depends on availability of adequate manpower. This operation run by a nice and friendly couple who dedicated to maintain the steady growth of this establishment.

In short, the food, atmosphere, and service are impeccable. 1 criticism I would have is that I found it odd that the meals didn’t even come with rice (had to be ordered separately). Adjust the price and include the rice (and your amazing naan) with the meal. Who eats curry without rice?

Best takeout I have ever had. I will never overnight in CR without ordering from this lovely place. Ordered the Tikka Masala (lamb), Biryani (prawn), Paneer Pakora, and garlic Naan. All were spectacular. Seriously friends, I am putting a note on my hotel room door so I don't forget it in the fridge. I have enough to last me through the weekend!

I've eaten it many Indian restaurants Indian food being my favorite this is the worst Indian restaurant I've ever gone to. I just placed a take out order of fish pakora which is tasteless dry fried batter with no fish and also I ordered lamb masala which is flavorless poor quality rice. When I place the order the lady said it would be 20 minutes so I waited in the restaurant. The food was ready in 5 minutes clearly had no chance for any kind of flavor to build. New to town will never go back. Haven't spoken with the manager she defended her staff saying that's the way they cook their food and 5 minutes is more than enough time to make a meal from scratch and that the pakora is crispy because their regular patrons like the pakora to be cooked very very well. Unfortunately there was no fish inside the batter to be cooked very very crispy. I requested my money back she chuckled and said no she would not do that.

Ordered malai Tikka and got dry chicken Tikka Masala instead.....posting pictures of their menu describing malai Tikka and what we got. If someone who doesn't know indian food ordered it they won't notice the difference but unfortunately those who love indian food do. You guys have to do better....not acceptable at all!!!! The food is fantastic and the staff are very kind. The menu is great for those who have little experience with Indian cuisine as it give thorough descriptions of each item. The only negative is the staff are slightly pushy on asking people to submit a review, which made me feel slightly awkward. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I'd heard for years from friends who live in Campbell River that Royal Aroma was one of the best restaurants in town. We went tonight and had a great meal. The server was helpful and her menu recommendations were excellent. The food arrived quickly and was amazing. We noticed that they were filling a large amount of take-our orders, so they must be a local favorite.

My husband and I Love Indian food and have experienced it first hand in India as well as Kuwait on many occasions and this was simply delicious! We asked for things that were not in the menu the day before we were to visit and the lovely people called us back to ensure the chef of the day could prepare it for us and they did beautifully. Everything was above standard including the service. We preordered our mains and chose other food on arrival as well and could not have been happier. The atmosphere is basic as we like to say cheap and very cheerful. We will be going back and thank you for making us feel so special with the complimentary desert for our anniversary. Went with my family to eat at this restaurant. Was expecting a run of the mill Indian cuisine experience, but was pleasantly surprised. The food looked authentic and more importantly tasted authentic and the attention to detail was what stood out from other places. the staff was supper helpful with helping us pick our dishes and the manager was really friendly and interested he is happy to chat with you and offer suggestions on the menu.
