We were here a few months ago and were very dissatisfied. This time was very different. I had the loaded burger and my lady had one with a Gluten-free bun. Both were amazing. Most Gluten free buns fall apart but she loved hers. The veggies and the meat spot on. Fries were perfect and the server was friendly, professional, and a good sense of humour.

The staff here are exquisite they are friendly helpful and they offer great service and options for celiac disease. This is a place we go once every couple months as our night out. I strongly recommend it if your gluten free or a celiac.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly staff! The truffle parmesan fries are LEGENDARY, if you like truffle don't skip them. The tuna stack was delicious, as were the dry ribs. I found the guacamole to be a little bland, but I might just be a picky guac fan as I make my own at home regularly. Overall we had a great experience and will be returning soon!

Note: I prefer small businesses over franchises any day. Besides that, this Moxie's is awesome. The staff overheard it was my birthday and surprised me with the best damn freshly baked giant chocolate chip cookie cake I have ever had. The restaurant was packed, a bit loud, but service was efficient! We were seated and eating in less than 25 min on a Friday evening! Absolutely unheard of. Every part of the experience was great. If your looking to go have a casual or formal bite to eat, this place does it well. But again, always consider the smaller, local restaurants!

I've found many menu items to fit any appetite I have big or small. The staff is very attentive however I like to spend more than one hour so sometimes attention can seem intrusive. I do find prices a little high since I'm on a restricted income I tend to come for lunch rather than dinner. Love the food.

Decent restaurant. Went for dinner while visiting Campbell River. Food was good, the server was friendly, meal arrived fairly quickly. It was very busy but we got lucky and arrived just as tables came available. There was quite a line up when we left.

We ordered the tuna poke appetizer which was delicious, he had the beyond meat burger and fries, which he loved, and I had the prawn pasta which was really well done, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The patio was nicely lit, had heaters for the cool evening and a nice ocean view!

Very well taken care of establishment, with professional and well dressed employees. We were served by "Pearl" who was exceedingly knowledgeable and patient, as we had a party of 7 including two kiddos who had a lot of energy. Food was hot and fresh, and service was prompt but not overwhelming. Bathrooms were very clean and modern, and outside was well lit for esthetics and safety. Thank you Pearl, for taking care of our family!

Celiac safe experience. We had a great experience here for our anniversary and they were very respectful of the requirement to have a gluten free meal. We spoke to a manager earlier in the day and they had options for us at dinner time. They were very flexible and friendly and we had a great night out and my wife didn't get sick. Bonus!

Really was not that good, Rustic Italian pizza was bland, very light on cheese and the oven roasted chicken looked fried and was not very good. The rice and vegetables were the only good thing from the chicken dish. Would definitely not return.

Placed an order through Skip the Dishes. There was a mix-up and the courier only brought one of the two bags. Staff and manager apologized without passing the blame and worked quickly to offer a solution so that we could receive our missing items as quickly as possible and enjoy our meal. The food was neatly packed, fresh, and delicious. We look forward to returning in the future!

Enjoyed a great meal on Sunday. The brunch menu is full of items not found at other restaurants. Delish. Enjoyed the variety. One suggestion: we are senior people. Calling us "guys" with every sentence is not appreciated. Instead of asking "how are you guys doing?", drop the 'guys', and just ask how are you doing? Every time you are tempted to say it - don't. "How is your meal?" "I hope you have a nice day". Save the slang for your guy friends. Thx.????

Food is usually good, but they absolutely REFUSE to clean the hanging lamps in the dining area! I have mentioned this on several occasions, yet the lights remain splattered with old food and dust. Nothing takes away from a dining experience like being forced to look at filth while you eat. Come on Moxies, surely your food and especially drink prices will allow you to hire some cleaning staff already!

Absolutely terrible, Best friend an myself came in to enjoy a meal Both of us ordered the New York steak $38???? What a rip off Steak was fatty no flavor , plate presentation was laughable .. 3 carrots that looked disgusting and the mash potatoes looked like runny baby food .. Even the garlic bread was brutal When mentioned to the Waitress they didn't really seem to care.. Advise when you charge that amount least make it worth the money you're a restaurant Not a 5 star gourmet

Moxatys grill was very very nice. The picture shows the justice that was done to the Arthur rack we enjoyed. This place was actually hobsons choice being poxing day. However through angelic guidance it seems hobson made an excellent choice. Our waitress was quite an angel too. All of us were very happy with place, food and service. Maybe the angels will lead us there again soon.

A very disappointing experience for dinner. Our server never served all our appetizers. They were out of stock for several bottles of beers we selected. Our wine arrived late after entres were served. The peppercorn sauce was forgotten on our steaks and then we waited 10 minutes for it to arrive only to have cold steaks for dinner. Not one glass of water was served or offered. Our plates were never cleared from the table . A tragic event. I am sure staffing is an issue these days but this was inexcusable.

Excellent service, all of the front of house staff are charming and timely. The menu is executed well by the kitchen. Location couldn't be better as it is allows you to see boats coming and going in the discovery passage. My minor complaint is about the price and selection of drinks. 8 bucks for a pint is rough and it would be nice to see more variation. Appreciate ya for keeping it going in this climate of 2020-2021 and providing a fun and safe atmosphere.

This is the second time we have been to or tried to go to Moxies and they’re staff has really let us down. The first time we showed up and there was a wait of 15 minutes, we put our name down and they took our number to call us when our table was ready. After 25 minutes of waiting and no call, we went inside to see where our name was on the list. They had been wearing walk ins and completely forgot about us. The second time we tried to go there, we made a reservation for 13 for our family that came to the island to visit and celebrate our recent wedding. When we arrived the hostess told our party that they did not have us down for a reservation. Then another hostess told us our reservation was only for two people. When we asked them what they could do for us, one of the hostesses said, “nothing”. We asked to speak with a manager and he came up and said he looked through all the books and our name wasn’t on it. However, another girl had just confirmed that they had us down, but it was only for 2 people. Long story longer, they continued to tell us that we hadn’t made a reservation and there was nothing they did to make it right. My advice to this establishment is to not blame your mistakes on the customer. You left a salty taste is all 13 of our mouths and I definitely did not appreciate the attitude from the staff.

It's a chain so you know generally what you're getting. Decent atmosphere, food is good. Lots of pan-asian influence such as fried ginger in the calamari, vindaloo, curry, etc but your normal bar fare too (burgers, fish tacos, salads and soups etc). It's reliable place to take people to support a variety of likes (eg business meeting, dates).

Disgusted. Ordered food for pick up, was told there would be a 25% discount for Health Care workers on Wednesdays only to be told by Stephanie on arrival that there would be no discount off the menu price because it was a combo and thus already discounted! This is after we were assured of the 25% discount when ordering. It seems this Moxies location does not intend to honour their offers and is advertising their 25% off for Health Care workers as. PR stunt only. Completely, totally disgusted. We will not be back, and we will make sure that other health care workers know that Moxies do not actually appreciate health care workers as their advertising would seem to indicate.

Bringing a newborn to a restaurant is quite an overwhelming thing (being a new mom) but they made me feel very welcome. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the time out of the house! We have been to Moxies before to dine in but we ordered through "Skip the dishes" tonight...first off we have ordered lots of food through them "Skip the Dishes" and NEVER have we been given even napkins much less ketchup knives and forks I was shocked. But on top of that thier food was awesome I would say best burger in town and the ceasar salad was big enough for both of us with large chunks of shaved parmesan and minimum $4 less then then thier competitors in town and they gave me an excellent salad with more. Thank you Moxies for an excellent meal you will see us again ????

The Moxie's in Campbell River stands out because it doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. The reason is simple: the people. The staff are friendly, attentive, and take the time to engage on a personal, we live here too, kind of way. Tourists from other parts of Canada with a Moxie's will find comfort in the brand but will be pleasantly surprised at the local twist to the place. Excellent food and highly recommended

The broccoli cheddar cheese soup was delicious but the turkey club sandwich was disappointing because the cheese was thin and flavourless and the turkey was thin sliced deli type not fresh roasted turkey. Next time I will just order a large bowl of the soup which I am happy to recommend. We also shared the sticky toffee pudding with sauce and ice cream for dessert. That dish was great and a very generous portion suited for sharing. Some booth style tables are beside the window overlooking their outer patio and the ocean. The restaurant and washrooms were well maintained and clean.

I love the Penne Herb Alfredo here, but my experience today has probably put me off going there again. My first issue was a half filled gravy container, I am an adult and have recently invested in braces, so I use the gravy to soften harder to eat foods like Chicken Strips. My second issue was I brought the half filled gravy container back and the waitress said that's the max amount they can give for the $1.50 but would graciously give me another one just this one time. Emphasis on the -one time- thing. Third issue was I got back to work, bit into a fry and low and behold it was hollow on the inside from over cooking. Chicken strips were also completely dried out and inedible. It was over salted to the point of gagging while chewing it. Needless to say I work at the Discovery Harbour Marina located behind this Moxie's, and I will no longer be sending our customers there for dinner recommendations.

Moxie's is a 100% Canadian owned and operated company. I grew up having family gatherings and bday parties at Moxie's and getting Volcano deserts. Due to the nostalgia and ability to keep up with my expectations as an adult I give this company 5/5. The staff are superb and the food is excellent. I'll go to Moxie's over Earls anyday.

I would give them 4-stars but an odd thing happened: I asked them if I could have my sandwitch on their artisan sourdough bread because I'm wheat sensative, and was told that they put it away at 3:00p and can't take it out again. I felt like "you have bread somewhere but won't take it out for a customer?" But besides that the food was good and the location (which at this time is incorrect on Google Maps) is very nice. I would go there again.
