Donuts are delicious! Monthly rotations means new flavours to try. Although specializing in donuts there is also a good range of coffee options. Espresso drinks are made with double shots, intense in flavour and hits the spot just right. It is a little pricey in comparison to other coffee chains, however it is worth it in the quality. Staff are welcoming and helpful if you have any questions.

We live about 20 minutes away from Red Eye and do not mind the drive at all! You absolutely cannot go wrong with any of their donuts, they are all incredible. I will say that for someone who isn't vegan or gluten free, you can also be sure to order the vegan and gluten free donuts without worry that they will taste different. They are moist and flavourful and delicious, you'd have NO IDEA that they were vegan or gluten free unless someone told you.

I never thought scoffing down donuts and coffee could be akin to a semi-religious experience. Then I visited Red Eye Cafe and Donuts. Good lord. Yes, this charming mom n' pop shop has devastated my waistline, but the donuts are fresh, fluffy and delicious. A far cry from the leaden rings you'd get at Tim Hortons. My go-to combo is the apple fritter or classic sprinkle donut with a latte. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting and the service is always very prompt and friendly. Do yourself a favour and get here early. They offer a fairly wide selection of flavours, but do run out quickly as a steady stream of people flow through. Very highly recommended!

Date of Visit: Saturday, April 27th, 2019. & May 4th, 2019 We visit the Homesense in this plaza quite often, and saw this cafe many times, but never gave it much thought. It is not glamorous from the outside but do not judge a book by its cover. We looked them up on line and saw Red Eye Cafe on Instagram - and things looked MUCH more impressive. The donuts and coffee looked beautiful, and very inviting. The next time we went to Homesense, we made a point of going in to Red Eye Cafe. There was a line up as long as the cafe- which means that others Love this place. there were many people seated enjoying great cafe-au-lait/cappuccinos etc with a donut. When we got to the front we saw all of their amazing donut options. The flavour options were quite impressive. We ordered a dozen and the price was $20 for 12. This is very reasonable for a good quality donut. (i Never compare good donut shops to that of the Big Chain named after a hockey player) The donuts were very light and fluffy, non-greasy. they were nice and fresh. The flavours were amazing. My personal favourite is the Lemon meringue pie -- I could probably eat a dozen of them at one sitting. These are great donuts. Buy some for your family and friends, or for yourself. But do not over buy - because you will want them when they are fresh. Enjoy these delightful sweet treats.

So impressed with this place! They've really blown up since opening recently and they're so popular that donuts sell out very quickly. However, if you want to pay for your order and pick it up hours later it's completely worth it. I'm sure once they gain their footing and the excitement of being the first gourmet donut shop around here dies down a little then it won't be quite as hectic. Their cookies and cream donut is my absolute favourite (though they're all good) and I love that they offer vegan and gluten free as well. I foresee great things for this little shop and will be a repeat customer for certain.

The flavor of the doughnuts was nice, but the doughnut itself was slightly stale. The staff had no personality. Further, when it was time to use the washroom for our small child, there was no change table of any kind. Upon asking if this is something they are planning to add, I was told "probably not for the foreseeable future." I feel this is unfortunate, as they are in a plaza with a great deal of parental traffic ( children's clothing store, pet store and toy store for neighbors.) For the foreseeable future, we will not be back.

My favourite donuts in Cambridge, especially their Boston Cream! However, their vegan/gluten free donuts are rather lacklustre. They’re baked and have a corn bread type texture. It’s not easy making a donut within those guidelines but it’d be great to have a vegan donut that’s on par with what you’d find at Monster Donuts in Hamilton. It’d be great to have that level of vegan donut available at Red Eye!

I'm always looking for a place to get a good donut, and this is one of those places. There aren't really any places in Guelph to get a good donut, so being able to take the quick drive to Cambridge for a good donut is nice. They have so many delicious options to choose from and every time I've gone they have a good selection remaining. The donuts are very fresh and yummy. I'd love to see more donuts with filling in the centre, but just a minor complaint. I definitely recommend checking out Red Eye when you need your donut fix!

After following them on Instagram for a few months I finally drove to Cambridge to have a try at their visually impressive wares. I must say it was worth the drive. So many donut shops pop up and are disappointing. Their offerings are either just a variation of a flavour dip or just overwhelmingly pedestrian. You can often get much more satisfying experience from a Zehrs donut than the $3 ones at specialty stores, but their range is limited. I was greeted by pleasant employees who seemed to truly enjoy their job and were engaging to speak to. When I mentioned I had driven in from Kitchener and had followed them on Instagram they seemed genuinely hopeful they were worth the trip. I picked up a box to share with some friends nearby. The options for the month were varied and they even provide vegan offerings. The quality was beyond my expectations. The donut I tried was denser than any other I have had before in this range, which lends well to developing heartier fare ( as opposed to the melting nature of say a Krispy Kreme monstrosity). My friends were equally pleased by their treats as well. The location is warm and inviting with generous seating. A must try.

I reached out to Red Eye Cafe after having a negative experience with another local bakery that I had placed an order with originally for my sister's wedding. After a long drawn out process and a lot of very slow back and forth with the other bakery, I finally gave up and found Red Eye and I'm so glad I did! I ordered 3 dozen donuts for my sisters wedding ceremony and they were absolutely delicious! Megan and Larry were a pleasure to communicate with and extremely accommodating. Cannot recommend them enough :)

If you’re hankering for some exceptional donuts, I must say Red Eye fits that bill! We ordered a dozen and I was very impressed. The quality is apparent with the first bite and you will find that they are of prime quality and you get what you pay for. Fresh, chewy and not too sweet. These things are fantastic. Stopped by Red Eye Cafe & Donuts on a whim and I’m glad I did! I picked up an assorted dozen and had so much fun sharing with family at a party. We cut the donuts into quarters so everyone could try different kinds. We didn’t try the gluten free ones. They’re really good for anyone with a sweet tooth. The only donut that I wasn’t thrilled with was the Lindor one surprisingly. Not bad but it didn’t stand out. I’m glad there are new flavours to try every once in a while. I’d come back!

I’ve purchased donuts here many times since they’ve opened but have yet to write a review. The donuts are always fresh and delicious, and I really appreciate the vegan/gluten free options. We also tried their London Fog latte and chocolate milk today and we’re not disappointed! The option for almond or oat milk was awesome too for those who need/prefer milk alternatives. The staff were very friendly as well. Overall, another great experience at Red Eye Cafe. We will definitely be returning (again) in the future.

Very nice clean organised cafe. Although they had a reduced menu due to the CV19 there was still plenty of very appealing varieties of baked goods. I was disappointed I did not get an extra Apple fritter as they were so good with just that right texture if crispness I loved. I was impressed with their packaging not to over crowd the box to maintain the nice presentations of their delicious product. A very nice indulgence along with a perfect cup of coffee. The blend and richness of the coffee was perfect. I enjoy a cup that is not too strong and yet still very flavorful and aromatic. Well done. Thank you Red Eye

This place has great donut’s don’t get me wrong but here’s the issue. Went to go there yesterday (Saturday Oct 2 2021) around 4:30pm, knowing they me be sold out of some things, and the donuts wouldn’t be as fresh. They didn’t pick up the phone after 3:45pm, and when we pulled up at 4:25, they were closed, door was locked at lights were off. Either adjust your hours on google, or stay open until 5. Top notch donuts when they aren’t closed though.

Truly amazing donuts! We loved the creative varieties offered by Red Eye Cafe and Donuts. We had a dozen of them, and each of the flavors were absolutly delectable! We will definitely be coming back again for more. Root beer float, kit Kat, skor, cinnamon apple...all delicious!

Really nice little place. Got the chance to come by on a Saturday, and was pleasantly surprised with how good their doughnuts are. My mother is gluten-free and absolutely loved their double chocolate gluten free doughnut. If you're coming here on a weekend I suggest coming early or you'll be waiting in a rather long line. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened and there were already 7 people in line by the door. When we left the line was out the door. It's definitely worth checking out at least once.

If you have not been yet...you need to go to Red Eye Cafe. The staff are friendly, and atmosphere is nice, but most importantly the Donuts are amazing!!! There was a quality in the donuts that I cannot describe. Finally checked this place out; only been working in the plaza for a month. Beautiful doughnuts that more importantly taste divine. Crazy awesome selection, something for everyone. Great addition to the PetSmart/HomeSense plaza. I was told they bake throughout the day so selection of doughnuts until 3:30-4:30pm is good but for weekends of course when it’s typically busier. Really nice barista served me. Made a yummy hot flat white. Definitely will return!

I have passed this place a few times and today decided to stop in! My suggestion, don’t pass this little gem without going in! As soon as you open the door you are hit with a delightful smell that gets the saliva flowing in anticipation! My son and I had a donut each! With such a large selection of flavours, we settled on a chocolate eclair and a kitkat! To call these donuts is a bit of a disservice because these were so fluffy and tasty, I would classify them as pastries! We will be going back for sure! Next time we will stay and enjoy an espresso drink that I’m sure will be excellent too!

The Red Eye Cafe is a fabulous place. I have yet to have a better donut anywhere and have also enjoyed their bagels. Their cappuccino are also outstanding. We started coming when they opened but unfortunately haven’t been back since the pandemic. We went last week and I felt very safe and happy with their handling of the new protocols. These are very stressful times and we need to be very supportive of our small local businesses in such trying times.

Saturday Feb 9, 2019 So excited to learn that there's a new doughnut place in cambridge. Came over at 4 today in the line up very excited to buy and try. Line up is not properly coordinated, i ended up overtaking not knowing that the people in front of me are not being served yet(they were on the first till and when the second till call out i came over.. i apologize because it was not my intention- i can wait. ) So when it was my turn i was smiling broadly telling this young girl cashier that it was my first time and very excited. I even asked how long this place was opened because i was not aware. *** She said 7 months. Without any smile or acknowlegement of thanking me for coming over.*** Did i mention I was really excited and happy i found this place. This is very very very underwhelming. I got my 6 doughnuts.. That's it. Customer service way out the door. If customer service is not important to this new store then you are not important to me. I can get my sweet fix somewhere else. Sidenotes--- being busy is good. Customers knows you are busy. We do not mind waiting... Just give us A simple smile and acknowledgement of giving you business. I WILL NOT BE BACK!! I can probably teach you some guidelines on good customer service.

I love Red Eye Donuts! Without a doubt, the best donuts in the tri-cities. I've tried donuts at some of the other shops that have opened in the past couple years and keep coming back to Red Eye. The donuts are a great size (not all yeast like some of the others), the flavours are always on point and the price is much more reasonable. I never feel rushed when trying to decide on flavours. These are not made from scratch. I can tell they are using the robin hood donut flour pre mix. VERY disappointed in them. Dough-NOT miss out on this place. As a fat guy hovering around 300lbs, there are only two things I take seriously, weight limits on trampolines and doughnuts. This place has nailed the doughnut. They have taken the doughnut and made some great original flavours like Dunkaroo, Kit Kat, Chocolate orange, while also keeping some classics like Boston Creme and Apple Fritter. The vibe is great and the staff is very friendly. If you want to support some great people and eat some great doughnuts, you have got to try Red Eye. I guarantee you will love it.

I had been wanting to check this cafe out for quite some time to try their vegan donuts. I have had many vegan donuts, delicious fluffy soft raised ones. These vegan donuts I don’t think you could even call a donut. They are more like a muffin or a biscuit with icing on top - they crumble apart and are half the size of the regular donuts. Unfortunately it was honestly gross and a waste of money and a waste of a trip. Glazed and Glorious in Kitchener have far superior vegan donuts.

I would normally pick the nutella; however, the birthday cake, apple fritter, peanut butter and nutella all tasted similar. Good, but Not Great. Wish they would have more Cream or Jelly Filled donuts. Boston Cream tasted much better than Timmies in my opinion. But wish they could be more Creative. And not just spread different frostings on the top of the same donut pastry base. The Vegan Chocolate Mint Donut was interesting, but not worthy of the name Donut. We contacted Red Eye Cafe for a bulk order of donuts for our wedding, and they did not disappoint. Communication was so easy for donut selection and pick up went so smoothly. Also, their donuts are probably the best donuts I have had and so many of our guests went back for seconds.
