Loved the decor and layout of the place but we didn't stay and eat. This is based off my first (and only, so far) visit. it was pretty clean but not a lot of space to sit (which obviously didn't bother us as we were eating back @ the office. I had the pesto chicken panini and it was absolutely delicious. Seems like a great atmosphere with yummo food. Can't wait to indulge in a fancy coffee & brekkie one day.

Really enjoy this locally owned coffee shop, however the inconsistency in drink making makes it a little sketchy to be charging $6.50+ per coffee in addition to the long wait times (10 minute minimum, even if you’re the only customers there). Even the ‘sweet’ drinks tend to be on the acrid side, like they’re missing an ingredient. HOWEVER, the roasted coffee beans are absolutely fantastic, so maybe just get those and make your own drinks at home. Rosso’s could easily improve to 5/5 through consistency in construction as well as flavour.

Delicious traditional size cappuccinos and amazing lunch options. I’ve eaten in and had the soup (Thai chicken - delicious!) but often I’m in a rush and grab a salad to go. The salads are always fresh and they have a couple unique options with yams and chickpeas. The most recent salad I enjoyed had quinoa, kale, edamame beans, green lentils (I don’t love lentils but enjoyed them in this salad). The dressing had tahini and soy sauce. It was incredible. I took a picture of the ingredients so I can attempt to make the dressing at home. This location is the perfect lunch stop with seating indoors and outdoors. One visit they were very busy and it took some time for my cappuccino and they gave me a coupon for a free coffee for my next visit. I wasn’t even concerned about the wait but appreciated the gesture. I love when I’m in the area for work and get to stop here for lunch.

This is the original Rosso, and it is a great little place. It's filled with the smell of (excellent) roasting coffee, and the sandwiches and baked good are delicious. Try the "homemade Oreos," and the soups on offer are also good. That being said, coffee is the star of the show, and it's great here. This place just has a neat vibe, and I really think it's a gem.

This place roasts their own coffee. So I was disappointed with the staffs knowledge of coffee and flavor profiles. If you are going to be a coffee roaster and have that as your thing. Provide your staff with more training so they are knowledgeable about your product. The staff were good service good, for a roaster the coffee was disappointing (still better that the big chains)

In the days before Google maps, this place was a bit of a hidden gem. Located deep in the heart of Ramsey neighbourhood, it wasn't always easy to find. But when you did, the ward was great as you had hit the motherlode! Located in an old building attached to a century old Brick Factory for Dominion bridge, it was one of the very first, if not the first, craft coffee Roasters in calgary. Since that day, they have grown from one success to another and now have locations in several other parts of town, and several of them are a runaway success. When I visited today in mid afternoon, there were customers inside but it was not overly crowded, and anyway it was nice to sit outside in the shade on a hot day. There is accessible parking near the door, and the entrance is easily wheelchair accessible as well. In recent years they've added more tables so a bit more of a challenge to move around in a wheelchair but you can certainly find a spot. This home location features a variety of coffees and food offerings as well as the full line of roast coffee and merchandise for making coffee as well. I'm almost hesitant to review this, as I quite like it being off the beaten track and thus not as busy as some of the other locations.

This Rosso is great because it feels like you have found a little hidden gem in the neighbourhood. They participated in the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest with this DELICIOUS salted caramel and popcorn hot chocolate. I highly recommend for those wanting a cute location and friendly staff.

Good coffee and it is interesting to see some of roasting and other processes going on in the back. Service is friendly but could be a lot faster. I appreciate the nice latte art, but grabbing a coffee in the morning right before work my objective is to get in and get out asap, not wait 10 minutes for a latte. Also, on the occasion of craving a sweeter drink, the menu is rather limited to the sweet latte and mocha, and an addition of some basic syrups like vanilla or caramel would not interfere with the integrity of the latte, or whatever else is the reasoning behind the small menu. The baked goods are awesome and I am assuming that the sandwiches are great as well, considering how they are always sold out by the time I get there!

I brought my young son here for lunch. From the outside it looks very industrial and not too inviting, but it’s small and homey once you enter. It is a little noisy due to the coffee roaster and other equipment, but that’s part of the charm too. The staff was nice, and helpful if you’re not too sure what you’d like. All of the food and drinks are Starbucks or more pricing range, so hang on to your wallet. You do, however, get what you pay for as all of it is top quality and has that just made feel and taste. They were nice to my son too, which sometimes isn’t the case with the high end establishments, which was good too. I’d recommend this location for a high-end lunch and coffee from time to time.

Yes! I love the atmosphere with the older building and brick facade. This place is hidden tucked away in the back of a busines building but with a large parking lot. This was my first time having Rosso coffee but call me a fan it was delicious. A great hangout.

The original Rosso in Calgary. I had a pretty good breakfast sandwich which is served all day. I was pretty tempted by their monstrous size chocolate chip cookie, that looked real good. They also have good amount of healthy options. The interior is pretty nice and comfortable to stay in as well. Would recommend.

This is a very cool little place hidden away deep in Ramsay. Thank goodness for GPS. Great coffee available daily, and they also bring in the seasonal beans from all over the globe. Tantalizes the taste buds to say the least. I recommend that you try them all at least once. Beyond all that, the food they offer is super healthy and fresh daily. They have breakfast items, salads, soups and sandwiches. And if that's still not enough for you, Rosso sells kanteen containers for your hot and cold beverages, coffee presses and grinders, scales and electric kettles plus much much more. I highly recommend you visit this location at least once. There are several other locations but this one is the bom diggety.

Ordered the chicken sandwich and it was literally frozen and pink. Told the server, which then proceeded to warm the bread. Got the sandwich back and the bread was more toasted but the chicken was STILL UNCOOKED. I stood up and talked to the barista which eventually resolved the issue. Sunny happy service. Delicious rosso coffee. Bright primary coloured walls mixed with brick and wood. It's off the beaten path so it's a bit easier to grab a table and nestle in. Wished that they stay open past 5pm weekdays! Otherwise it's a great coffee shop here in Calgary. One of the top 5 in my books!

Sometimes I come here with my son. I get an americano and he gets a hot chocolate. He is only 3 so it is quite a hike for him, about a 15 minute walk. The americano is always good. My son enjoys the hot chocolate, but he loves all things chocolate so his integrity as a food reviewer can’t be trusted!

Cafe Rosso serves up one of the best lattes in town. Normally i'm not a fan of Illy coffee, but they have mastered it. The only complaint i would have would be the location...gravel parking lot, construction, etc. Once the area is developed more it'll be nice to visit. At least once you step inside, you forget where it's located.

Great coffee and service, but this is their roasterie location which means it is very loud. Atmosphere is critical to a great cafe, but I wouldn't want to study here and would never bring a client for coffee just because of the loud machinery. I'm not sure if they roast all day or not, but in the 30 minutes I was here they never stopped. Their other locations are excellent

I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich this morning so I decided to give the sandbag at Rosso Coffee Roasters a try. It was an ok breakie sammy. Not amazing. I didn't really like the flavour of the bacon. It was "meaty" tasting. I like more smokey or sweet smokey flavour to my bacon. Also, the garlic aoli was too garlicy. Garlic aoli should add a subtle flavour to foods, not over power it. Also, I like a very bold roast on my espresso. I found their's to be far too mellow. And the latte was not hot enough. The steamed milk should make a latte piping hot. A very forgettable coffee altogether.

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest 2020: Wowza! The spiced hot chocolate was insanely good. I added an espresso about half way through and made it a mocha...so good! My dad said his americano was one of the best he has had and my sister in law raved about her latte.

I like having a cozy coffee shop right in the hood of ramsay. Cute and cozy little spot, nice and local. I always order a large mocha, made with breve, and the barista with medium length brown hair makes it great. Today i got a Tea Latte to go- the barista was friendly and nice- floral sweater and cute red nails- but my drink was luke warm, and the honey was not stirred in... But the conversation we had was nice. But with the others its quite a miss. I have not had success. My drink comes out luke warm, with a heavy mocha layer on the bottom. * stirring the syrup with espresso, and hot steamed milk would make the difference. Disappointing, as its not cheap to have a messed up drink. Hopefully it gets better!

Beautiful atmosphere in a storied and vibrant building, got the Turning Point roast on drip and it was fantastic, very excited to brew some at home. Also can't wait to try your teas and food menu. Big selection of gear, papers, pour over equipment, Aeropress, scales, carafes etc. With good pricing, clearly welcoming to both hobbyists and casual enjoyers, there's something for everyone here.

This is Rosso Prime, i.e. the very first one. The staff at the till was very funny, the atmosphere is modern and quaint at the same time, and you can see them roasting the beans in the background!!

This is the only one we continually return too, great space, great staff. The other stores throughout Calgary are just too corporate feeling...you really remember how expensive it is...where in the original Ramsey location, it's a great experience, price is low on the mind.

Service is great. Sweet latte is one of my favorites. Good place to stop by for coffee, or have a quick meeting. Not enough desk space for studying and very noisy machines. Lots of parking available.

Great atmosphere wonderful coffee and just the right clientele. I vastly prefer the industrial crowd coming through Rosso to so many other coffee shops. It was a little chilly on the morning I went so I couldn't enjoy the patio. It was quiet enough so I could have a client meeting without having to raise my voice to be heard, but not so quite you feel self conscious about the privacy of the conversation.

Overpriced for the quality of lukewarm beverages you get, with customer service that is basically "hi" *pay* "bye", most of it seems to be an afterthought with a lacking menu . The mocha was quite acidic for my taste. :( It was quite busy but very dirty in there . And the ramp inside was a surprise! Don't twist yourself up on it while entering or leaving!

A nice little oasis when visiting nearby businesses. Pleasant wood seating and nice brick decor make for a friendly place to grab food and coffee. They have a wide variety of snacks and entrees. The coffee is tasty and well prepared. Staff are friendly. They have limited parking in the lot and street. It is a bit of a walk from transit.
