Here you will see the reviews of people like you who are buying the products and services of Caffe Beano (Coffee Shop) in Calgary (Canada).
To this day this business gets a score of 4.4 over 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is very good, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Coffee shop.
Alas, I’d love to give 5 stars. The location and space is awesome. The food is pretty good, the coffee great. Baked goods mostly great but likely simply due to personally preference. Everything always seems great and I’m always hopeful. A few of the staff just seem like they really have a hard time interacting with humanity, like it’s all they can do to even look at me when I order my overpriced treats. I’m always polite, I say thanks, please, don’t order anything complicated, basic stuff. I don’t understand how people can work with the public when they seem to despise it so much. I love everything there but interacting with that person who seems to be happy there because they’ve been there for quite a while, and seem very competent with the actual logistical part of their job. A smile or just some acknowledgement that you’re interacting with a human, who could easily go anywhere else, wouldn’t go amiss.
Great tea selection and the coffee is raved about
Amazing customer service! Went here for the first time to order a Vietnamese coffee. The best coffee I've ever had hands down. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't already :)
Great coffee
Great savoury muffin
I just love Caffe Beano. It’s my favourite coffee shop to visit when I’m in Calgary.
Good coffee!
This place has stood the test of time, and has been open for 30 years for a reason. They have a created a social place to enjoy a good cup of coffee and some good desserts. I appreciate their compliance to the COVID mandates. I recommend trying the Vietnamese style latte, it is my go to.
Staff is always friendly and drinks are delicious.
Very good vibes and awesome coffee!????
Updated Review. Place isn't what it used to be. Service is much slower than previously, and unfortunately menu seems to have either shrunk or been tweaked over the years, but with no obvious improvements in choice or quality. The staff are nice enough, but it can be pretty slow at times. They don't call out drinks or names, so when it's busy, expect to spend some time trying to figure out what drink is yours. Observationally, hiring seems to not always have been based on work ethic or customer service skills, but some other arbitrary measure (love of poetry slams maybe?). You'll often see staff just standing around or looking sullen even when there is cleaning to be done. The inside is quaint, but obviously in need of some upkeep. Old janky seating which isn't super comfortable and an awkward height for the tables and diner seating upfront. If you're taller than 5'5", expect to hunch. They used to have great chalk art (see "cream-a-torium"), but that is now gone - instead they've got random menus distributed so your head will be on a swivel at the front. I still try to patronize this place as it is iconic, but I expect very little these days, which sucks.
Best place in the city. Delicious coffee, great food, excellent service, and always surrounded by the best little community of people. I always look forward to coming here. ❤️
Very good coffee and location.but it's downtownish so you are paying for parking
If you come on a warm day, it's a great place to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Inside is just as good. Great coffee too.
Very nice
Great little coffee shop. Nice sandwiches and pastry selection. Feta spinach is a good one.
Great coffee, bagels, and muffins. Benches outside create very cozy community vibe. My favorite coffee shop on 17th Ave.
Super awesome coffee, environment and people. Pull up outside, benches for the summa-time, warm hospitality for the Brrrrr winter. My go-2-always! Beano is on an artistic magnetic field vortex. Write your novel at Beano.
The best americano in Calgary
Because one time, I turned into a dog and they helped me.
Beano brand of coffee is the best
Still my favorite cup of coffee in yyc
Real old school coffee shop feel, staff are hilarious. Great espresso.
Cozy place. Great coffee and great service. What more can you ask for?
This place is one of the biggest gems in this city. Their traditional cappuccino is seriously outstanding, so flavourful and delicious. I have tried many "great" coffee places in Calgary, but Beano remains the absolute winner. Worth the trip/painful parking.
I love it here. Best hot chocolate ever. Good eats. Staff could use a bit of an attitude adjustment. Maybe learn some customer service. They just seem like snobs. And dont have much care for looking like they combed their hair or washed their clothes. I have my faves though.
Good coffee and service. Nice spot to hang with friends
I have gone in with my puppy before and ordered drinks and food to go, no problem. I held him in my arms, no one said a thing. Go in today, some old guy paying says "you're bringing your dog in here?" Well yeah. The store cashier looks at the old man, looks at me and says yeah sorry no dogs. Thanks dude, you've lost my business and I don't mind if I need to go further to get coffee. Better service is worth the walk. I am not leaving my dog who costs thousands of dollars outside unwatched to be stollen, no thank you. I'll go elsewhere.
Best Americanos and baked goods!
Great place.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Quality that I enjoy with a location that is relaxing to hang out in. I also love the diverse group of people who regularly come here.
The staff is awesome and the atmosphere is really nice to sit and chill amd hang out. Always lots of young people/college kids. Good prices.
I've been coming here for years but they really need to get on the credit card train. It's 2020!
Great coffee espresso milksgakes and baked goods a staple in calgarys cafe scene!
Love this place. Great coffee.
Amazing customer service and loved the Vietnamese drink
Probably the best coffee in the city-nice place to hang out.
Coffee is okay. Although the baristas should be more polite, less rude. They do love their regular customers!
Still a great coffee shop and hangout after all of these years. I wish I was able to visit more often.
The best americano
Great Cappuccino
Food and coffee are both good. Nice that there are some gluten free options, including bagels (and they're good too). Be aware that it's cash or debit card only. I understand not accepting credit cards for a $5 coffee, but when spending $20+ on food and drink, it would be nice to have the option of credit card.
Fantastic coffee, great staff.
They've been making good coffee since BEFORE the trendy blonde wood, white tile, shelves of vinyl-type places opened up. And they still are!
Really great place to have a coffee break but somehow it's always cold in here...
Decent selection. Nothing outstanding. High prices.
Quality coffee, highly recommend it.
The desserts are on point and food too is upstanding, it's truly one of those rare places that's got it all going on ????????????????
The staff are not friendly at all. I went almost every day for a few weeks and just didn't like it anymore so I chose to goto waves which is a bit father as my goto spot. I may seem small but when I ask someone how their day is I'd love for once to get an upbeat or at least happy tone instead of a sigh and "Good, what can I get you?"
Great coffee and warm environment. The staff are great!
Coffee was pretty great, food was decent. The building is in mediocre condition, could use some more maintenance.
Other
Such a great place to get an incredible cup of coffee.
Vietnamese coffee is really good!
GET THE CHOCOLATE ESPRESSO MILKSHAKE—BEST MILKSHAKE EVER EVER EVER. —or if you want a hot drink, “The Vietnamese.”—-both super sweet drinks but so good.
Interesting coffee shop in terms of interior and outside seating benches . Coffee and teas? Average, nothing special
There's usually a line in the mornings, around lunch and for the early evenings. The coffee drinks and espresso are very consistently good. The selection of baked goods are small, and on the expensive side, but delicious. The sandwiches through Sidewalk Citizen are great. The staff are efficient, and for the most part super nice. I've been going here when I can for six years on and off, and many of the same staff still work there. For a place to grab coffee and food on the, Beano is still my unchallenged local favorite. The staff at analogue overall have been nicer on the balance of my visits, but the coffee is worse.
One of the best coffee places in Calgary in terms of their beans and always exceptional service. They also make absolutely delicious cookies. It can get tight in the shop but they have lots of room outside in the summer. Worth the wait. HINT: one of the best milkshakes in the city. In the summer people come for the milkshakes and many people don’t even know the serve them
Great coffee.
Coffee is amazing. The staff are amazing.
Warm service from the girls at the counter and they dod a great job with the coffee. I wish the seatkng space was a bit more fit for a working session.
Chill place to meet or hang out
This is a great coffee shop! The staff and regulars are very friendly and welcoming. Their coffee is really good, and are not overpriced like other coffee shops on 17th. Their bagels are what I get most excited about when I visit Beano! It’s a great place to hang out with friends, or for a casual meeting.
@sawideas we are very fond of Caffe Beano. This may be an understatement.
A coffee shop that doesn’t take credit card ya bad enough. BUT a coffee shop without wifi in 2020, is a joke.
Breakfast
I recommend their scones of the day.
Went here for coffee. This place is alright. Ordered a Cafe latte and it was ok. The reason for the low ranking is this place does not accept credit cards as a method of payment which is ridiculous. I understand it is a cost for a business but when you charge a premium for beverages you should accept credit card. Also I ordered two cookies and they were stale. They looked good but when I ate them they were stale and awful. You better off going to another coffee place on 17th Ave for quality coffee.
Tried this place for the first time this past weekend. Figured it was time after living in the city and walking by several times.. there is ALWAYS a line up outdoors. I ordered an iced latte, it was okay. I don't know that it was necessarily worth the longer wait than any of the other similar cafes on 17th. My husband felt the same about the Americano ordered. Atmosphere appeared really cute and inviting inside, but still not open to patrons during COVID.
One of the original good Calgary cafes and still great. Their no wi-fi policy is annoying but understandable. Beans aren't my flavour style but their lattes and cappuccinos are excellent.
I like dark roast coffee and this is one of the few places I enjoy that isn't what I make on my own at home.
Nice and cozy. Free coffee the day I was there, but the staff seam to be talking to their friends a lot and forgot me twice.
Love that coffeeshop! They have amazing lattes and matcha lattes as well. Nice place to sit in front of their coffeeshop too. The only thing I’d say they could improve on is to offer their payment machine to accept credit cards as well! I’m even surprised it’s not a requirement yet in 2020! Edit: Not sure what they changed or if they changed something recently to their milk or coffee but when I picked up some latte and cappuccino today they were tasting like they added some sweetener to them (either it was a sweetened almond milk or they added some honey to them) but it was sweet! Even at the bottom of the cup I could see the remaining sugar either of the milk or again the sweetener. I love their coffee but I have to say, I was highly disappointed because I hate sweet in my coffee.
Great place so long as the staff aren't playing unknown punk at ear drilling volume.
Best coffee in Calgary. No question about it. Pull up outside, go in, order, sit and write, chat, meet people. Hot Vietnamese is divine. This is the UN of coffee shops in so far as many people from a diverse background call this their coffee shop. It's great! There are no pretences here - all is welcome. My dog loves Beano.
One of the best coffee spots in the area. Great seating outside, dogs are welcome. Matcha latte is amazing, so are lattes. Delicious savoury muffins and if you are with kids - kids hot chocolate is a must, with whip cream and chocolate sprinkles, of course.
One of my favorite meeting up points in Calgary. Good drinks. Good snacks. Good staff. Funnpeople watching.
One of my favorite Coffee Shops in Calgary. I have been coming here for years now multiple times a week. Coffee is great and you have a wide variety of desserts and cookies that are gluten free. Quiches are too notch ???? Benches outside are nice as well, there's always some water for dogs so it's a good place to come hang out with your doggo friend ???? ( probably why I like the place so much tbh lol) Beano is essentially the definition of a good local community coffee shop.
Fantastic little cafe, definitely worth a visit
Comfy seats and a cozy atmosphere. The employees know how to make a good coffee and service is always fast. The interior feels a little cramped but most places on 17th are.
A big thank you and kudos to the owner of Caffe Beano, my favourite coffee haunt in YYC for hearing my complaint about a customer who consistently invades my space and behaves inappropriately around me whenever he sees me in the cafe - and for promising to deal with it and ensure that I can safely spend time there without his presence. I've been a customer for over 20 years and hope to be for another 20!
Best coffee in Calgary
0urdoor patio Great coffee
Try the chocolate ginger milk, if you get the chance. It’s my number one favourite drink in the city. They used to add more chocolate (or maybe the chocolate has changed), but it’s still really good.
beanos approved
Cool coffee place .
Mmmmm try the spinach and feta muffin ????
This place will always have a special place in my heart! I had my first ever espresso based drink here years ago!!! Always great to remember!
Nothing to write home about. Food was small but tasted alright. Coffee was alright, but if you want a larger latte to stay you need both hands to drink from the bowl.
Was really disappointed. Heard this place was great. Ordered two extra hot caps. Watched the girl expertly making some and when my time came a gentlemen jumped in because it was getting busy. He sloshed my caps together, no blending just foam on espresso. Not worth the $4.85 each I paid. If I wanted this quality I would go to Tim Hortons.
My downtown go to for java
Vietnamese Latte is very good!
Very good coffee and small bites. Always very busy. But has nice outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee
Weak coffee, an overpriced breakfast sandwich ($9+ for an open faced sandwich with rubbery egg and burnt toast...), and no credit cards accepted. Pass
Since it was opened by Janice Beaton in the early 90's, Beano has been a Calgary institution. Cultural hub, hipster hangout, poets' corner. But everyone is there because of the coffee. With Beano's success, the expansion into and the assimilation of the barber shop next door was inevitable! While Beano's failed as a chain, that assured its lofty position on the Calgary independent coffee house mantle.
One of the best Cafe spots in the city.
Great coffee !
Hot large Vietnamese & then a 2nd cold large one to go. Magical.
Fantastic Chocolate Espresso Milkshakes!
Great latte...tuesday night scooter meeting place... cool
Avoid this place like the plague. Hyper inflating the covid restriction rules to prevent take out purchases under the guise of worried about getting a fine that doesn't actually for take out. Won't be going through this hassle of showing a vaccine passport just to order coffee. Go to DeVillee coffee where they will treat you like a human.
The vanilla latte is great! Awesome ambience !
Cannot order out from here without passport.
The coffee is great. Don’t get the everything bagel. It’s very sweet and I was not a fan.
Great coffee not a bitter espresso bean. Staff are friendly
Best place to be near the révolution . My friend Tom and I had a most excellent tête-à-tête ???? ☺ ????
A pleasant place off 17th Ave SW, with good coffee and tasty snacks.
Coffee is solid, staff is great, and great fellow customer to chat with.
The best coffee this side of the Rockies
Great coffee, not the best place to go get some work done on a laptop. No plug ins available if you need one.
I wish this was place was less busy on the weekends. Love the drinks, love the muffins. Staff are cool and efficient (and helpful).
Busy place. Nice and funky. Vietnamese coffee is the one to try!
Good coffee. Nice staff.
Nice local indie coffee shop. Virtually everything is baked in house.
First the prices are quite high for coffee....and then they have no Wi-Fi...coffee was alright...
Quaint little coffee shop. Great customer service and relaxing atmosphere. Great stop while I was in Calgary
The best coffee in town.
Fairly quick to order, great coffee. It’s a treat once in a while, but parking can be a nuisances. Recommend the Hot Vietnamese Coffee.
Vietnamese coffee here is really quite delicious
Love their Vietnamese coffees. Music was bit loud
Great coffee spot with benches outside, reminds me of some Montreal quaint café.
Best coffee drinks in the world!!!! Designs on your coffee all handmade drinks wonderful food and pastries and amazing service
The best soy London fog I've had! I forget who told me to try one, but I'm glad they did. I don't visit often but the staff have been great each time I've stopped by. Sidenote: I have a fine motor skill disability and their larger 'to stay' mugs are very hard to handle (mostly because they don't have handles!). I've had trouble with drinking beverages there, even though they kindly carried it to my table when I asked. I'd recommend asking for a to-go cup if you experience similar issues, even if you're staying, or bringing your own travel mug.
Friendly staff and delicious coffee.
Great coffee and atmosphere right in vibrant uptown 17th avenue. Steps away from shops and restaurants.
My favorite coffee place in Calgary. Try the chocolate espresso milkshake, or the Vietnamese. If you get the chance, also try their sandwiches which have never disappointed me. Even if you just want coffee beans, their espresso roast is hands down the best beans available in Calgary.
Quiet and honest coffee. Nice to relax, chat or work on laptop. Big outdoor area as well
Best coffee place on 17th Ave and possibly in Calgary. They use Fratello beans and the coffee is consistently high quality. Service is hit or miss, no wifi, and limited seating.
For a Kiwi or an Aussie, this is one of the few places in Calgary you can get a coffee you’ll enjoy.
Nice place to sit for a coffee and read a book or chat with a friend. Lots of different coffee and tea selections. I love the Chocolate espresso milkshake.
The Vietnamese coffee is delish
Great atmosphere, I can't wait to sit inside one day and work on my computer. Staff are absolutely amazing and the service is superb. My favourite coffee shop in all of Calgary ❤️
I love this place, I love coffe Vietnamese ????
Caffe Beano is undeniably a Calgary gem. My family has been going for eons! Aside from the coffee, I'd say the best chocolate milkshakes ever - a huge part of my childhood and the reason I stop by whenever I can! (Also great: their chocolate espresso milkshakes). They're well-made, using Callebaut chocolate. Caffe Beano has what I would describe as a... very authentic coffee shop vibe.
My favorite coffee shop in Calgary.
Came here on Sunday during mid-day. Very busy but still found some seats at the bar chairs facing the window. Good coffee and an excellent selection of drinks on the menu. I wish they had more dessert choices and credit card payment option.
Horrible coffee and the staff is rude and kinda reenacting the 1930s
Great staff, good coffee!!
Beano is an institution. It's usually busy, and for good reason. The coffee is great and the staff are really friendly. Try the savory muffin, it is always delicious.
Great
When your on 17th great little coffee shop to stop for a coffee
Good coffee great ppl
Try the hot chocolate (with whipped cream!)
They only take cash or debit, but good coffee spot
Great little place for coffee and treats. Great place to sit and people watch too.
Quirky customers and delicious coffee and snacks. Great people watching and shopping location.
One of the best coffees in Calgary. The Vietnamese Latte is a must try! The croissant taste amazing as well.
My favourite coffee shop in all of Canada. Just love going there.
Just parked out front it's looks like a great place to hang out. Didn't look busy. Heard great reviews
Very cozy coffee shop with great coffee!
Great coffee
Had been there before and the service was fair. Went there today at 7pm and it was closed, there's a sign in the door that clearly says that it is supposed to be open until 8pm. I knocked in the door and the workers didn't hear or just ignored me. Total disregard to the customers.
Good coffee and nice atmosphere.
Good coffee.
Excellent place for quick meeting.
Good little coffee shop, a touch overpriced, but tasty. The baked goods are SUPER FLUFFY! kinda like a croissant. Which is tasty, but I was not expecting my cinnamon bun to be filled with air. Pretty small venue, but good for professional meetings.
I love this coffee shop. It's a Calgary staple. The community feel is wonderful. It's open ridiculously late which is great. The coffee is exceptional.
Get some wifi!!! It’s 2020!!
Love this cafe, their food, their comfortable seats, their ambience and they have lots of parking usually but it is paid. Have your next meeting here.
The most amazing latte! ask for the bowl ????
Have to agree with the people on here about the lack of friendly service. No smile no hello no how are you today? Barista didn’t even acknowledge me or even put the lid on my coffee..... I saw a stack of papers and went to grab one not realizing there was a small note above them that said “for purchase”. The girl at the till said “actually those are for purchase k? Thanks.” And then just looked away. Coffee was good, but this day and age that’s the bare minimum of a decent coffee shop in the downtown core of any city. It’s my first time here and unfortunately that small interaction will make it my last time.
Great little cafe. Good coffee minus the outrageous prices. Get a cowboy cookie, they're the best!
Caffe Beano makes the best vietnamese coffee and breakfast sandwiches I have ever had.
Small local coffee shop. Great service and excellent coffee/small baked goods.
Try the Vietnamese! It's life changing...
A coffee shop without wifi in 2021? When I asked if they had wifi they acted like I had asked a ridiculous question. I just wanted to get some homework done, but lesson learned. They have no problem posting signs literally everywhere about their rules and what not, maybe advertise that you don't have wifi for your customers. Coffee isn't bad, but if you're looking to get some work done, keep looking...
Great service, excellent coffee, great gluten free options. I recommend the gluten free bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, and tomato and an Americano.
Great coffee. I also love the espresso milkshake when I want a treat. So full of coffee flavour.
Best macchiato in the city - by far. Great staff as well. It's a bit "alternative" so some people might feel out of place but macchiato is totally worth checking this place out. Again - by far the best.
One of the best lattes in town. Chill, unpretentious vibe.
The coffee is good and the food is fresh
Nice cozy little coffee shop! love it, friendly staff and nice variety
Mocha is 10/10 - not overwhelming chocolatey just the perfect blend - with Bernard Callebaut chocolate flakes
Favourite coffee place in YYC!
A special place for amazing coffee! For sure one of the very best! Great service, easy parking and in a very nice location.
Nice quiet place
Trendy, artsy local coffee shop that is not a chain.
When you just need a decent cup of coffee. Good coffee, good vibe.....????
They dont sell bottled water!
The boyfriend and I are always trying different coffee shops in Calgary but this is where we always come back. The staff are always friendly and they are consistent with their drink which hardly happens when you have different baristas. Koodos to Caffe Beano for being my favourite coffee shop. I just wish there was another shop in the city. Hint hint, in the NE please!!
Great coffee, great baked goods, pretty busy in the mornings but they empty the line like champs
Their Viet coffee is the best. Dare I say, better than Vietnamese restaurants
Nice smell
Creamy smooth hot chocolate & whip cream. Cheaper than Starbucks, better than Tim Hortons.
great coffee drinks, great atmosphere!
No wifi Pretty expensive No credit card Good location Ok coffee and tea
Service
Our service, coffee average, will not be returning.
Still my favorite coffee in Calgary. So good.
Coffee was okay, nothing to write home about. I recieved a gift card for this place from a friend so wanted to check it out but over the course of 2-3 years, each time I went here they were unable to use the gift card (machine down, gift card system updating, couldn't use the older version of the gift cards) to the point I just threw the gift card away.
Kitchen is a mess, definitely not as good as it was.
Love their Vietnamese coffee!
It was my favourite place for coffee, but now they hired new barristers and they don’t know how to make coffee. Please bring old barristers!
I love the Viet coffee from here. Good menu options.
Coffee is top notch.
Today I had an overpriced small brewed coffee there for $3.00. It wasn't even very good or hot. They don't take credit cards and they don't even have wifi. Their outside seating consists of hard uncomfortable benches. Are we out in some picnic area or what? No class. So, for that ordinary high priced coffee they can't even offer their customers the convenience of being able to use a credit card or the courtesy of using wifi or comfortable seating. I hadn't been to Caffe Beano in several years prior to today and I certainly won't be going back anytime soon.
Great coffee spot.
Had the chocolate espresso milkshake. Oooooohhhh my... that tastes like a $5 shake should. Treat yo self!
Nice local coffee shop. Good people, snacks and drinks.
Great service, great coffee, lots of smokers in outdoor seating area.
Hidden gem on 17th ave :)
Awesome Latte
Great atmosphere, fantastic coffee selection and amazing sandwiches!
Best Caffe Ever
Great location and coffee...the pastry was a bit dry.
Best Vietnamese coffee! Cute shop, baked goods are also delicious. Pricey, but well worth it.
A little more busy than I expected, but still great nonetheless!
Hot chocolate is decent and the service is.. unique? Inside is a bit dated and not somewhere I'd want to sit long but there is a lot of out door seating if the weather is nice. There are better shops on 17.
A casual setting.
One of my favorite places for a coffee fix and has a Vietnamese ice or hot drink. Their coffee isn't sour or too acidic and has just the right amount of robust flavor. A great place for any activities from people watching, work, meet up or catching up with friends. I tried their quiche and it was great, soft and fluffy with right amount of crust texture and the balsamic offers a unique taste with a side of veggies. Price is on point and affordable for what you get, and I would go back again.
My go-to spot for meetings. Great coffee, food, atmosphere, staff, location, I 100% recommend.
Trendy coffee shop, excellent hot chocolate and service !
Great coffee but needs wifi!! Guys it’s 2020!
Get the beano buzz....kicks you in the teeth with flavor and awesomeness
great place with the 90’s vibe to it!
Went into Caffe Beano yesterday to buy two puffed wheat squares. Was fully masked. Would pay by debit. Had no intention of “eating in.” They would not sell them to me unless I provided ID and proof of double vaccination. No one-time warning that I needed this. Just go away. The paranoia related to COVID has now truly gone from the sublime to the utterly ridiculous. My family and I have been huge fans. I will no longer be supporting them.
Very eclectic cast of customers! Great staff, coffee and ambience.
Meal type
Great drinks, no wifi for the students :/
Clean and cosy place to spend good time. Friendly staff.
Unfortunately they don’t accept credit card, so contactless payment isn’t possible.
Got the beano buzz and now I am INVINCIBLE
One of the best spots on 17th to get a coffee ☕????
Amazing coffee.. cozy atmosphere, definitely recommended
Good cofee amazing environment
Awesome breakfast sandwich. The latte was pretty stellar too.
Coffee is good and service is friendly but there is no wifi and only one outlet in the whole place to plug in your devices. Wouldn't recommend it to get work done.
Great coffee, teas, muffins and gluten free snacks.
The hot chocolate is great! They were all perfect, and service was very good
Pretty good coffee and nice interior design. The hipsters baristas are on the annoying side and they provide average to poor service, nothing that doesn't happen at other independent coffee stores
This place is stuck in the 90s. It's a bit grungy, and the coffee is good. Not great, but good.
I had chocolate milk shake and it was awesome. Great atmosphere and staff was so nice and kind.
Amazing Cafė Mocha here! It is served in a proper bowl, hot AND has ACTUAL CHOCOLATE shaved right on top! They really hit the mark on serving a chocolaty delight! …
One the most crowded cafes. Cozy atmosphere, great coffee and baked goods.
Such a great coffee spot with so many tasty treats and drinks!
Perfect coffee, perfect brownies, only a bit too noisy
Amazing chi milkshake!
Delicious variety of drinks and pastries. Hokey atmosphere and reasonably priced.
quiet and peaceful place. one of the most underrated cafes in Calgary !
Great coffee and friendly service even during the current covid19 crisis
Awesome coffee!
Really good coffee and baked goods but service is slow even during quiet times. Staff can be more concerned with organizing and talking to each other than filing orders.
I've broken up with four women in this cafe. It's a nice environment and you get a warm beverage. Warm enough to warm my cold heart
The coffees and lattes here are excellent. It is always busy here so it may be difficult to find seating during busy hours. They have special blended ice drinks during the Summer which are very good.
A cute and clean cafe with a unique menu. The staff are friendly and tables and washrooms are clean! It's right off 17th Ave so it's easy to find. I had the chamomile peppermint tea and thought it was really unique how they use loose leaves in a small metal teapot and gave me a strainer, mug, plate, and the teapot so I could refill my cup as many times as I wanted! Definitely returning to try some of the coffees and bagels :)
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice atmosphere.
The best coffee place ????
Their ginger hot chocolate is amazing. The only down side is credit is not accepted. But another must have is the bagels with cucumbers and the brownies
Cafe Beano is a great place to pick up Avenue Magazine and a coffee. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional.
This was such as cute little spot to visit! When I went there, they had sweet, friendly explanations of Covid safety protocols posted, and the coffee really was great.
Cozy, cute, and delicious. Definitely recommended
Super pretentious coffee shop with high prices and an incredible cappuccino. I don't make a habit of visiting Beano. It's generally my fallback option if analog is full. That said, the staff are generally pretty friendly and the product is decent. The prices are certainly higher than other coffee shops in their class, and it's hard to tell what they sell outside of coffee when you first come in. Definitely a valuable player in the beltline coffee scene, while not my favorite of the bunch.
UPDATE: Changing my review to 1 star.. Today I thought I would give them another chance instead of going to Starbucks, as I have a business across the street and would much rather support my neighbours. It was even worse than the last time I came here.... No one was in the shop, I came in and... The staff stood there (right in front of me) finishing their convo before helping. I am honestly disgusted with this business at this point. This is the third time this has happened. I could even get over the no credit card but being treated like I’m a nuance, by the hipster staff, does not sit well with me. I’m unsure who owns this place but you need a massive business makeover, in absolutely every possible way. Giving 2 because the coffee was pretty good. The staff was rude when I tried to use my Credit Card. I own a business also and understand it is slightly higher rates to pay for MC and Visa but that’s the cost of doing business in 2021. I think it’s time to reconsider, especially since people are moving away from using cash.
You must try the chocolate espresso milkshakes!
Love their Vietnamese latte.
no reason, not to give 5 outa 5. latte is myfavourit!
Coffee is usually good and the staff are great
I mostly come here for the chocolate milkshakess which are amazingly creamy, but the Beano Roast is fantastic as well. The only annoying part is that they don't accept credit card, which I understand given fees. It's a minor detail, but I typically only carry my credit card for payment.
Cutest baristas on 17th AND so many dogs outside to pet. Coffee is good and there's some free parking just a block up if you're driving and don't believe in paying for parking.
Calgary's best Coffee...but Kawa is a close second and has beer!!
Always a yummy cozy visit. Amazing teas & options, and the baking is homemade. Extremely comfortable and cute atmosphere. Would recommend for dates or intimate hang outs!
Because of the YELLOW AND BLUE BATHROOM KEYS! I will be coming here forever because I can go in whichever washroom I choose instead of being gender type cast as a " yellow key" because I am not a "blue key" kind of guy!! I am so impressed with this, but not just this, that I visit nearly EVERY DAY! So, come join us... Coffee's On! First, for excellent coffee and fresh, homemade treats. I love Love LOVE!!! CAFE BEANO!
Seemed okay... but they don’t accept credit card and I didn’t bring my wallet except a credit card. So I couldn’t have anything....
Drinks come in large bowls.. you have to two-hand the bowl to take a sip. Tables are oddly high so it is hard to read/write/use a laptop. No electrical outlets for a laptop. No wifi. Loud odd classical recorder music. Only takes cash or debit - no credit cards. Would go to about 20 other coffee shops in this area before coming back here.
A lovely place for tea. Wonderful sense of community. ☺️
Viet coffee, matcha latte, and ginger got chocolate are top!.
My favorite coffee spot. Frankly the only place I want coffee from. And I absolutely love the lack of wifi. There are plenty of mediocre coffee shops on 17th for screen zombies to sit around in. Bring a book! Or chat up the clientele! There's definitely a warm sense of community here that other places are missing.
They make a chocolate espresso milkshake that'll change your life on a hot summer afternoon.
Good coffee, usually pretty busy and seating can be a challenge. Fresh pastries are nice. They do not accept credit cards.
Terrific coffee, wonderful set up and environment and a neighbourhood must-stop! However, the bagel sucks. Given it plenty of shots but it always comes out rock hard and the slices are really thin. Unfortunately neither prosciutto nor cream cheese can salvage that.

Best latte's in Calgary! Quick service too
No wifi here. Iced drinks were okay, but Ive never had such weak Vietnamese coffee. Food was nice & staff are very pleasant.
Great atmosphere. And the coffee. The coffee is good too.
Great location to come hang out with some hip people. Coffee is great and snacks are enjoyable.
Great tasting coffee, friendly atmosphere.
Really great coffee shop. I enjoy how it's the older style and isn't trying to be a trendy hipster joint. Just great coffee in a great coffee shop atmosphere.
Very nice staff, great food and drinks. Felt very covid friendly.
This was our first visit to Caffe Beano as we wanted to try their submission for the 2021 YYC Hot Chocolate Festival. My husband went in to order and purchase while I waited in the car with our son. I was impressed with the outdoor seating (which is currently closed due to COVID) and he was impressed with the flow inside. The one way path really helps with social distancing and adds comfort to the experience. Looking forward to coming back when we can enjoy the inside seating again!
Delicious coffee and dessert! Friendly owners and beautiful ambience to just relax, hangout, get work done.
Best damn $6.00 milkshakes going. People that frequent the joint don't seem to like outsiders much though.
Love this spot. A little hot inside (perpetually it seems) but great service and fantastic coffee.
Very WARM atmosphere
Take out
they don’t accept credit cards ????
No free wifi
Best hot chocolate, pure!
This and the Roasterie in Kensington are my favourite cafes in Calgary. I’ve been supporting both for 25 years. They are classic old school places. The sandwiches and milk shakes at Beano are delicious.
Great coffee and even better people
Tried their mocha but they require a debit or cash. Plus some debit cards don't work. In my car my PC money debit was declined.
They make my Vietnamese coffee, I go there for that.
Are you kidding, Best coffee shop in Town. Everyone knows that.
It is okay I would say, nothing too special
Kinda noisy, lots of construction near by.
Excellent coffee and people watching.
One of the best london fogs I have had in downtown, service is always great. My friend says they have the best americanos.
Went to buy a cappuccino and they don't take credit cards. I can't imagine the amount of business they must lose from not accepting credit cards. I walked away.
Best coffee in Calgary!!
The benchmark that every Cafe in calgary should hold themselves to.
Great coffee, atmosphere, and the outdoor benches are great for socializing and talking to locals. Little on the pricey side, though.
Best americanos south of K-Town. A nice little cafe open early, stays open late.
Cafe meano. The staff here are generally unfriendly. The coffee is good.
Nice tasting Americano that had nicely balanced flavor. Good place to stop in on a winter day. Not too busy when I went and parking could be found close by (even with construction going on in the area).
Here for the hot chocolate festival and the manager came and asked our opinion on it which was nice! Also had the mushroom quiche, good for a light lunch. Cute cafe on 17th definitely worth checking out. Doesn't take credit card, and was a little rude about it when I didn't notice the sign. Something to keep in mind when visiting
Great coffee and food! Cool atmosphere
Good coffee
They don’t do credit, only debit/cash; seems pretty odd for a location right on 17 ave. Service was not entirely great. I had to wait a bit to get my drink even though I was the only one in line... turned out the people were just busy chatting. Treat was incredibly overpriced but tasted about average. It’s almost the same price as drinks!!! No wifi... so basically they don’t want you to hang around with your laptop there... One positive thing: the drink I got was decent enough. Different. However, I’m not too sure drinking from a bowl of hot chocolate Tried it. Won’t come back again
Small and intimate coffee shop, the workers are really friendly, "I really enjoy the dark chocolate brownie fully recommended "
The latte taste is good....
Calgary's original hipster cafe. Lots of good beverage options. For the truly fussy apparently the coffee isn't top notch, but it always seemed alright to me. Fairly late hours and downtown location have made this place a standby of the urban caffeine scene.
Fun, different and the best Caffè Mocha anywhere. For a real treat try the chocolate expresso milkshake. Yummmmm.
Is there a way to give no stars?! It has taken me two days to sit down and write this review as I would like to be as objective as possible without allowing my anger to get the best of me. On Friday morning I drove my son to his new job and I needed to use a bathroom. I saw the cafe and I thought I might as well get a coffee. The barista at the till was happily chatting with the customer ahead of me (a gentleman who, if judging by his outfit obviously works in an office), being pleasant and all around chirpy. Then comes casual, just risen out of bed me. Messy hair, leggings, layered tank and a sweat shirt. I ordered a latte and asked for the bathroom key. NOW HERE COMES THE GOOD PART(!!!!). The same chirpy barista looks at me and says: the keys are here, keep it clean. WHAT?!?!?!??! Did I hear this right?! You just assumed that I am a junkie, a homeless person? Or?!... For the record, my funky, Mikey Mouse runners were $350 alone. And while I might have not been dressed up to the notch, I did not by any stretch of the imagination look unkempt.... Said barista was again sweet and pleasant to the lady behind me: dressed in an office attire of course. I am appalled by this superficial judgment and disgusting attitude. The saddest thing: I can't help but wonder how less fortunate people are being treated?... At the price of $5.00 for a latte?! Ummm, thank you, next!
Always a great coffee
Great coffee but the prices are a little hard to swallow, especially for the size. If you want to treat yourself or can't think of a good date activity, you may want to try coming here. The location is also key to my review as it is just off of 17th and there is plenty of parking. All in all, an above average coffee shop!
Nice place outside to sit. Iced coffee was refreshing
I was told they had some of the best milkshakes in town... and they were right. Chocolate + Espresso milkshake was amazing.
Great coffee
like the environment and coffee
If only I can give this place a negative 5 rating. I usually come here for the coffee because they have one of the best coffee in the city but the service today was something I haven't seen in my life. The staff was so disrespectful and zero helpful to accomodate my needs. To the point where he said and I quote :" you don't have to come back here ! I don't care!!" Never stepping foot in this place again!!! But I was glad to pass by waves coffee shops just across the street!!
one of top 3 places to get espresso in calgary. excellent coffee and great staff ... but what is up with no internet?? it is 2019. give the people what they want, connection to the world!!
For a café to have serviced all kinds of people since the time it has opened, it's beginning to lose it's value and perhaps principles. Used to love this place, but since the new mandates, I'm very disappointed in the way they chose to discriminate people who can't provide proof of vax for just a simple coffee take-out. The man...wait no the "boy" at the cash register on Oct 5 had the nerve to judge my friend and I with the way he looked at us up and down maybe because we decided not to dress up as professionals that day and addressed us like we weren't valued customers. Thankfully, another coffee shop across the street was willing to serve us coffee regardless of the mandates businesses are coerced into following. Where is the humanity in all this? I will no longer be recommending this place to anyone and will gladly be taking my business elsewhere.
Cappuccino Stopped Me In My Tracks! I went in thinking I'd work on my computer and enjoy a coffee. Had a cappuccino and just stopped! It was so good I decided to stop and sit outside and enjoy it along with the weather. It almost made me feel bad for being so wound up on a Friday. Best cappuccino in town
Good lattes and baking, but a little noisy.
Great coffee, lovely staff, and good eats!
Came in tonight and they were closing early, I just made it. Would have been locked if I was 5 minutes later (still 25 mins before closing). I tried to be friendly and strike up a conversation, and mid sentence I was cut off with “do you want to order something?”. I was speechless. Wow. Sorry you have important plans and want to close early. If you don’t want to be in the service industry, perhaps you need to quit. Better coffee places around anyway.
mmm great spaghetti!
Great coffee and expresso drink....probably the best in the city.... But that come with an expensive price
Nice place . Covid rules in effect. Clean. Coffee is great. Service is a little slow for my taste but that is due to Covid protocol. Yes, it is worth the short wait for first rate coffee.
Mediocre. The coffee wasn't too sour, just poor choice of beans. Meh. You guys have apparently never had a good coffee and have little idea what real coffee is. That's unfortunate.
Quirky, friendly place to hang out in and they always have a variety of quick snacks. Had a spinach and feta muffin that was very awesome!
Nice little cafe
My wifey and I had milkshakes - they were made with great ingredients and effort.
The best banana cinnamon milk shake.
Homey little place that's great for one-on-one meetings and dates. Great place to pop into in the mornings or sit outside of on a warmer day. I recommend their Vietnamese coffee. They don't accept credit cards.
One of the best coffees in Calgary
I've lived in downtown Calgary for 10 years and this is my favorite coffee shop.
Great services and fantastic conversation with patrons.
I come for coffee nearly every day. Great staff and owner. Beano blend is the BEST!! Yummy munchies
Chill spot for a coffee, to relax and read or chat with people. Price is right and they always have tasty blends.
Beano buzz is actually a must try here!!!
Super good coffee! Great service! Amazing ambiance! Love it!
Good coffee!
Decent coffee but slow service and no credit cards or wifi? I feel this shop is doing well enough to pay the small fee to have customers want to return.
I just wanted coffee to go.. why they request vaccine record.. I think that’s very overacting.. I should buy a coffee machine..
I love this place. Friendly staff and drinks are great!
Great coffee, baristas are often grumpy and slow to make sandwiches. if you want a sandwich, plan to stay at least 10-15 minutes longer than you’d expect. Also they only take cash or debit, which is inconvenient if you can’t fork over the arm and leg it costs using debit.
Since "discovering" this coffee shop last year, it has become my go-to place for my coffee needs. Friendly staff, good service, and great atmosphere for sitting down and having a conversation.
My drink was not that great. The order was wrong and I received a big cup of milk with some matcha sloshed in. The rest of my group also received burnt tasting coffee. Seems like they don’t care here. It’s the third time now so I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
OMG! Vietnamese coffee was the best!
Excellent coffee and excellent service.
Great coffee, great treats, great conversations :).
Too expensive for what it is. The products are good but not worth the premium. Would suggest going to more specialized places for higher end coffe or foods of equal cost.
Nice little place! They make excellent coffee and tea, but the prices can be a little steep. However, if you're looking to splurge, I'd definitely recommend it.
Great little cafe. A group of us sat and visited for quite some time and it has a great atmosphere and coffee.
Great coffee and a busy little place with a good atmosphere.
Great coffee!
Delicious Vietnamese coffee, and friendly staff!
Unfortunately this place discriminates against individuals with medical exemptions. I went in for a bagel and the guy there refused to even speak to me. I tried asking if they had breakfast sandwiches and he kept telling me to get out. He did not care that I have a doctor's note of exemption. Very sad that I am unable to support this establishment.
One of the last truly great coffee shops in the city. The coffee is excellent and the hot chocolate is the absolute best. Really good muffins and cookies too. You never know what fun local weirdos you’ll run into. This has been my favourite coffee shop for a decade and a half.
Great atmosphere, drinks selection, staff - love it all ????
Friendly atmosphere great people
Grlgood snacks and coffee. The location is not so friendly.
Great atmosphere, staff is always friendly. A bit congested - speaks to their popularity but a better grab and go spot. Their Vietnamese cold coffee is to die for. :)
Best lattes in town, friendly staff and patrons, and the savoury muffins are too die for?
What a terrible Customer Service experience today. We went for the hot chocolate offering, and although the drink itself was ok (but not great or worth the cost), there were many problems. The chocolate/chai mix is stuck at the bottom of the cup, meaning it either wasn't mixed properly or else the milk wasn't hot enough to incorporate the mix. As we drank the drink, the graininess of the chai powder overcame everything else. But equally disturbing, the fellow who was creating the drinks was totally disinterested in the creation, and put the whipped cream up above the cup, and simply handed us the lids and shrugged his shoulders. Not surprisingly there was an overflow, we got no help at all in cleaning it up. Never EVER returning.
Love their ginger hot chocolate.
Super cozy place with a unique atmosphere. Kindve a throwback classic coffeeshop where you can get a nice soup sized latte or a proper Expresso. They only take debit or cash so be aware before ordering.
One of the best espresso in the city.
Wonderful Mocha
This coffee place follow unlaful mandates and discriminate custimers.
They seem to be closing earlier than their scheduled time. People have always gathered there late into the evening any night of the week and lately it's as if they're more concerned with hustling paying customers out the door than accommodating the night owls.
They are inconsistent with their customer service and covid screening practices. They discriminate service depending on whether you are a regular or not. No Ids asked for “regular” customers but my husband who buys a flat white from them regularly has to show ID everytime.
Friendly neighbourhood coffee shop with a nice selection of food
Friendly staff, awesome espresso float
Good coffee,creative atmospher!
When I went this coffee shop, there were 3 stuff and they all unkind. When I was looking for a lid for my coffee, they saw me. but they just ignore and keep talking. I got no helped. Coffee was okay tho.

They make awesome Vanilla milkshake, which is pricey but meets up to the standard. The people who work there are really kind and friendly as well. They are usually always super busy because they are that good. If only they had more plug-ins for students to study there.
Slow service and was denied even making a TAKEOUT order until I showed proof of vaccination. When I asked if I could search the phone quickly while he took my order the cashier denied me and made the entire line wait instead. Wouldn't have docked rating points if it wasn't for the insulting and smug nature of the cashier I had to deal with. Will not be returning.
Dine in
I'm addicted to the chocolate ginger!
Always a pleasure spending time at Cafe Beano! Great coffee and great desserts!
Decent, not my favorite
Coffee was okay, however no Wi-Fi is offered and lacks access to outlets. Thus, it is not a practical location to get work any work done. Don’t recommend coming here for working unless you are working completely unplugged in which case I’d still suggest working in a handful of better cafes.
Was in a trip and needed a coffee stop that was excellent. Beano did not dissapoint. Vietnamese cafe was sweet and strong
Great customer service
Great coffee and great staff.
The beano blend roast and milkshakes are incredible, but not accepting credit cards is a big negative for me. I know the fees suck, I own a business as well, but it makes for a poor customer experience and prevents me from visiting more often.
Nice place to grab a drink sit on the sidewalk and people watch.
Chocolate espresso milkshake. That is all.
Good coffee, staff and prices.
Best Americano in the city. The morning glory muffin is always very moist and delicious. Perfect pairing for a winter morning.
Love this coffee shop and product sold but agree with previous comments about staff. It’s a coffee shop, get them a shot of espresso to perk them up! So important in the industry to have the right service.
Best coffee shop in Calgary.
Great place to meet friends for a coffee any time of day, any time of year. Line-ups are out the door at peak times though...
beano was good but they take like 15 minutes to make a bagel and they’re almost always burnt! :-) they also keep giving me CHUNKY drinks, doesn’t matter if it’s coffee or or like iced chai this has happened several times now and also sometimes drinks taste like SOAP or like NOTHING at all
Lovely experience ❤ i love the atmosphere and the food is amazing
Good, but its too busy and no wireless internet.
Best hot chocolate!
Dont have wifi there but a lovely place
Friendly coffee shop.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Great community.
Quiet at 2 PM on a weekday in this time of COVID wave 4. So, a good place for conversation. No wait. Nice snacks and good coffee. Helpful, friendly pleasant staff.
Friendly staff, delicious cookies and really good medium roast.
The real hood coffee experience. All the rest are pretending...
Simply the best! Better than all the rest! The coffee is better than anyyywhere. The staff could smile a bit more. But when your coffee is that good, and the vibe is that hip, who wants to smile anyway? Drink yer coffee n shut up.
The best coffee, the best breakfast sandwich.
Best local coffee shop. Always busy.
Good
For coffee aficionados, Beano is hands down one of the best coffee shops Calgary has to offer.
Great vietnamese coffee and pastries!
The coffee here is good and the staff are sweet but they only take cash or debit.
Best Coffee. They even have vietnamese coffee. Attracts an artsy crowd. Great place to people watch.
I got the morning glory muffin this morning and wow, what a fabulous thing.
They have good sandwiches and shakes
Always a great local coffee shop to stop into. With no lack of choices on 17th Ave, Beano is definitely a great choice. The staff seem to love working there, which shows in their attentive care to the coffee and drinks they serve. I will give 5 stars when I can pay by Credit Card :). Last I visited, they accepted cash and debit only. Most meetings are expensed via credit card so it adds an extra step. However, great coffee, service, and atmosphere make up for it!
Great milkshakes and coffee !
After all these years the same great coffee..good pastries and a staff with attitude and personality
A unique cafe with great drinks. A bit tight but a really friendly and cool vibe
One of the few decent coffee places left in Calgary. Amazing coffee, great atmosphere and fantastic cranberry muffins.
Ok coffee... High prices... Nice food
No wi-fi...:
One hour coffee ... but it's worth it.
Good coffee
Good staff, good coffee, though interior is in need of some renovations. Plus, free wifi would help bring in more people...
Great local coffee shop with lots of chatty regulars! Food and beverages are scrumptious. One of the best coffee joints in the city!
Tiny tables and hard to walk around in. Cream and accessories too far away from the main counter and down a set of stairs...so it's a bit awkward. Really great staff and the food/drinks are superb.
Really good coffee. Sandwiches are not that good.
Awesome little coffee shop. Great coffee and food. I recommend you try there Vietnamese coffee. Staff are amazing.
Fast service
Great traditional espresso coffee. Not caught up in the "third wave" of coffee. You're espresso will taste like it should. No subtle hints of blueberry, just good bold brew.
Fabulous latte. And an excellent scone.
Incredibly friendly and nice. Pleasant atmosphere to sit and get some work done. The quiche is delicious.
Very flavorful chai tea and quick service
One of if not they best coffee shop in calgary
One of the best hot chocolate in town.
Trendy and handy. An old friends favorite place but I've only been a few times
Awesome coffee, great food, no Wi-Fi = win
Extremely good coffee. I ultimately prefer this coffee to all other places to where I've been. (Credit cards not accepted and occasionally awkward line ups are only draw backs.)
What a place! The birthplace of Benos is what I needed to distract myself after the death of my dog Cedric Food is meh however.
One of my favourite places to go for coffee
Diner charm.
Loved the YYC HOT CHOCOLATE entry - a yummy choco-chai drink - not too sweet, lightly spiced, with gorgeous gold glitter!
The essence of a good breakfast sandwich is to leave lots of time and enjoy.
They got a great hot Vietnamese drink but menu selection is definitely more expensive than most cafes
Arguably the best coffee in Calgary. However, the quality of food - particularly the process of preparation is debatable. I have seen the staff (who seem to be masters in multi tasking) handle garbage, rinse dirty dishes, load the dishwasher etc while preparing food without ever washing their hands. Absolutely, filthy. As for entertainment, there is plenty because if you want to see (first hand) The Dregs Of Humanity (16 to 60), grab a coffee and sit outside. Some of the lowest forms of procreation in Calgary grace the front benches of Caffe Beano. Like the staff, the bench occupants are outstanding multi takers as they smoke cigarettes while sipping their coffee’s then will sneak in an uncovered cough (in the air) and finally excrete smokers phlegm right on the sidewalk. Once again, absolutely filthy. Caffe Beano is an ideal spot to see the slow demise of humanity while enjoying an outstanding cup of coffee.
Very nice atmosphere
Best chocolate + expresso milkshake
One of my favorites!
Love this place! That outside seating area! And the interior layout make this a great place to meet others. As a meeting spot between those you know or to meet someone new! I think of Beano as a local community establisment. The drink and food selection is great. I've never had a bad experience here. Although! Heads up - don't ask for wifi. Haha. The response was a bit rude (to be honest) - but I totally get it. This place is about meeting face to face not being buried in a screen!
A great place to sip a hot bowl of café au lait!
Best Vietnamese coffee.
good shop, often busy
Always stop here on the way through Cowtown. I love the Mocha and the atmosphere. It is a well balanced shop with a lot to offer.
their coffee is really good , but their barista have amazing talent of making you feel like you are not cool enough to be there .
Great coffee and home made snacks. Staff takes customer service to a high level.
This a great hidden little cafe! Great service and great drinks! Gotta support this local gem! It's always busy and full of locals! Perfect space to get some work done as well if you need to get away from your usual spot.
Liked their coffee
Love the chocolate milk shake, and the atmosphere.
The product offering is amazing, and the drinks are fantastic. Service, however, is left to be desired. A simple greeting with a smile and a quick "thank you" goes a long way and really not difficult to do. Slinging a drink and then immediately going back to congregate with fellow employees is pretentious and unprofessional.
Great place to spend evening with such wide variety of coffee flavours. P.S there hot chocolate is theeee best in town
The best Cafe' in the city. Great vibe, friendly people.
Service
Great coffee
Prices are very high but the they have quality coffee I guess it all works out in the end.
Latte is always good. Americano is also my go to.
Meatloaf sandwich is moist and delicious!
Excellent service. Great coffee and treats.
