Great place all year round. There is a winter skating rink right next to it and in the summer it's a roller skating rink with rentals and music and even a Zamboni in the winter. Great place for a romantic date on a nice summer evening with a beautiful sunset overlooking the marina. What a sight!

Never been to Williams before. Great service! Everyone was very friendly. I sat down at my table and my food was pretty much brought out right away. I was very impressed. Food tasted absolutely amazing! My new favourite place for sure. Highly recommended!

The "Fresh" part in the name is lie. The larger Williams locations cook their food but meals here are precooked and then microwaved when served. Food tastes so much worse at this location versus the other cafes in town! Only plus about this one is that it has a couple outlets

Went to Williams at 1250 Brant street in the Burlington Power Center this is the second time we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the coffee. The first time it took 20 minutes for a regular coffee and last night it took over half an hour for a small hot chocolate for a child. NEVER have I ever experienced worse customer service from a place that certainly overcharges for their product. I found it funny the staff had time to chat with each other and serve other people coffee's and ice water but were unable to make a child's hot chocolate within half an hour. Disgusting. They had the most ignorant workers. Never will I give my business to them ever again. There is a Tim Horton's down the street from them I suggest you go there if you want decent prices and wait times.

Free parking, easy enough to find and get to. The coffee, desserts and food are nice, but pricey. Very similar to Starbucks, but I find Williams has better coffee if you want a plain cup. It isn't as bitter. On the downside, it closes really early (this particular location - I've been to others that were open until 11pm-2am, depending on city), but you aren't asked to leave. They just start cleaning around you and taping bits of green rape to the tables that are being used (to clean them after you leave, I'm assuming). Overall, nice place for coffee and chatting, not great for a full meal.

This is the only Williams cafe I have been to and I have to admit, it's because of the location. It's situated right at the waterfront so you can take a nice stroll before or after you visit the cafe. They have good patio seating in the summer right by the skating rink. The food and beverages menu is good however the service could be better.

Ordered two coffees and a muffin, staff at front counter seemed confused and had trouble getting the order. Had to get us to repeat the order once it had gone through, almost forgot to give us change, and did forget to give us our muffin (ran off to see someone they knew and left another employee to give us the muffin). I have been to Williams many times and generally have a great experience, but some of the presumably new staff need better training.

We stopped in on Saturday September 29,And ordered two slices of cake a cappuccino and vanilla Frapp, the place was pretty quiet. Are drinks were taking forever so I walked up to see if there was a problem. As I was standing there I noticed that the frothing cups weren’t being rinsed and looked like they were sitting for a while. The young man then proceeded to make my cappuccino using the dirty frothing cup which I called him on but he continued on. I told him to keep it. The other drink was made and it wasn’t even a vanilla frappe. To spend $30.00 on two slices of cake and 2 beverages I would think they would use clean supplies and know how to make proper beverages. Wouldn’t be returning. Buyer beware!

Wonderful, nicely decorated coffee shop with friendly staff and a great selections of foods and beverages. The staff is friendly there. There is free Wi-FI there too. Please note that outside foods and beverages are not allowed inside their coffee shop as seen on the sign posted on the door. A popular hangout for university students and people of various ages, too!

The bathrooms in this establishment are disgusting. If the staff have to use these facilities then you have to question the hygiene in the kitchen. Use the facilities only if you're desperate. I'm amazed that the city hasn't given them a failing grade. The food is OK but expensive.

It's okay. There isn't really anything special about Williams, they don't have exceptional food or the best atmosphere, but it's certainly not the worst. The staff are usually friendly when or if you interact with them ( as it's not table service ) I just feel everything about Williams is pretty generic, it's somewhere I would think of to bring my grandmother for an afternoon coffee, but not think to go there for anything else.

Not welcoming (maybe it was because it was early morning). I ordered a Classic Breakfast with sausage. The order came out with bacon. When I asked it to be changed, they said that they never serve sausage and only have bacon; basically, they could not do anything about it. Not the best way to treat clients

Always fresh coffee, and great food. This place is my escape and the staff are always welcoming. Whether skating on the rink (winter) or touring downtown Kitchener in the summer, this is a kid-friendly, but reasonably quiet place to meet with friends or squirrel-away on your own in a corner. With a nice mix of traditional and well presented meals at reasonable prices, it's a safe bet in Downtown Kitchener.

Good coffee and good food. Very slow service, especially at the cash where it seems disorganized and staff don't help each other out, thus leaving customers standing in line. Also the WiFi doesn't work. Try logging in and just keeps going around in circles with no reason. I've tried on my Nexus 5, my laptop and my wife's iPhone but we've never been able to log on. This is one of the reasons we visit a different cafe with working WiFi.

Williams at City Hall is a great location to meet up with friends or colleagues in downtown Kitchener. It is usually quite busy and can get loud but the tables near the back (toward city hall) offer some quiet for solo work. Outlets are around the middle column and the community table, where there are good views of City Hall plaza. Food and drink are good, same as others within the chain. Breakfast is only served until 11 but well worth it. Staff are generally quite friendly and efficient

My baby was at McMaster hospital, we are from out of town and she gave me directions (to where I might find an open bathroom- stupid Covid) while I waited for baby and husband. Terrible service! After waiting for almost 25 minutes for a standard salad (which I was over-charged for), I had the temerity to approach the service kitchen counter to ask about my order. I was told to "SIT DOWN, NOT TO MAKE A SCENE" and they would bring the salad to my table. At this point my companion had finished their lunch. Another 10 minutes later and my salad was practically thrown down on the table in front of me with the owner/manager stalking off in a tiff! Horrible since management and menu change! Food is nothing worth going there for!

My friend and I were sitting in the cafe and the manager was very rude to us and told us we can't be sitting in a booth with our laptops to do work, even though we had both purchased a 5$ latte, and we were just quietly talking and doing work. Not sure why just because we had laptops we were being told to leave... I was planning on buying lunch too. Its ridiculous to not allow students to eat and work in a cafe that's literally across the street from a University, we provide the store with business we purchase food and drinks, I don't know why should we be spoken to rudely by the manager just because we had laptops.

As a Guelph student, it became a tradition for me to visit this lovely cafe weekly. I usually went on Sundays around 9 am and routinely ordered the same meal: The Greens/Avocado/Quinoa bowl with Grilled Salmon added and the Mint/Chocolate Latte. If I could give these meals 6/5 stars, I definitely would! I have also tried their Breakfast bagels but always go back the bowl. It is very nutritious and tastes delicious, especially with the dressing. The prices are not cheap, but it is worth going once in a while. Their Wi-Fi is also adequate!

I had such a horrible experience at this location. I came in with my friend and I ordered their chicken and pesto goat cheese sandwich which is always my favourite. I asked for no arugula and I also paid 4$ for a side of potatoes. The waiter brought my sandwich and it had arugula in it and did not bring my potatoes. I told him that it was wrong and he took the sandwich back and removed the arugula and then brought the potatoes he then proceeded to say to me “I am bringing you these potatoes but you did not order them or pay for them” I said excuse me I have the receipt I paid for a side of potatoes with my sandwich go ask the lady at the cash. We got there about half an hour before close and the entire time we were there the waitress was rude to us. (She went so far as to tell every customer to leave at 10:15, and the cafe was still half full!) We ordered sweet potato fries with each of our sandwhich and it really looked like there was maybe 13 fries in each order and some parts looked rotten. Have prictures to prove it.. Nice staff, friendly and busy. Coffee is pretty average, at least the stuff that's already brewed. I have had an Americano there that was good. The thing that earned only 2 stars is the abysmal assortment of stale baked goods foisted upon customers for inflated prices. Cookies, muffins, croissant - uniformly and invariably STALE. I can't say if they are baked on the premises nor moreover during which month they may have been made. Regardless, my advice is to avoid the disappointment and skip this establishment altogether.

Smacks of management issues. Food and prices are fair in quality but service always seems aloof; like they'd rather be doing something else. Of course they would, but there's little enthusiasm for service, they seem constantly stressed out, and it doesn't seem like personal issues.

A spacious cafe with a large menu. Service is very efficient and kind, you're given a number to bring to your table and any food is then delivered to you when you're ready. There are many booths here as well as several seats with outlets in case you want to get some work done here on a laptop. Reasonable prices and good food. I especially liked their soup, which was warm and hearty.

I spent a few days in the region and had food at Williams Fresh Cafe twice. Both times the food was delicious. They offer a good selection of sandwiches, salads, a couple of soup options (chicken noodle soup, tomato red pepper soup), mac and cheese and baked goods. They also have a good selection of coffee and drinks. Comfortable seating is great for bringing your computer, studying or working.

Been to Williams many times. The chicken in the wrap was falling out as there was so much of it. Whereas the Corned beef on rye literally had 2 thin slices, dry, and made for a very disappointing sandwich.

I'm sitting in a booth with a tear on the seat and crumbs and berries on the table; it smells like minute noodles and B.O.; the AC is obviously not on enough despite it being busy and over 20 outside and this thrumming/buzzing from overhead is giving me a wicked headache. I understand its peak lunch time and I expected it to be busy despite that the staff were friendly and quick. I guess the higher ups here need to work on improving the ambiance rather than pushing more expensive yet less flavorful drinks. The brownie was dry and had a slight dirt flavor as well which sucks bc I was really looking forward to chewy chocolaty goodness. Sorry, won't be coming back here.

I like this place to spend an hour on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon but I rarely ever get to actually do that because every time I go, there’s never any seats and we end up leaving. So many of the big booths are often taken up by one person on a laptop which doesn’t seem fair for people who come in to actually enjoy a coffee and a conversation. I can’t count the amount of times this place has lost my business for that reason. Sometimes the booths do have a sign saying for more than two people, but I don’t think it’s actually enforced. They have good drinks and treats but I wish I could enjoy it more often.

Food: 5 stars, service: 2 stars. The guy at the counter didn't seem to be fully awake. I've never been there before so didn't know that I had to get the purchased bottled water from the cooler myself. Our table, although cleared of dishes, was dirty. The waitress who dropped off our order didn't even look at us. I needed ketchup and had to waive her down. Again, she didn't even look at me and run off before I could finish my sentence (I was going to ask for something else). I gave up. And no, it was not very busy at all. Having said that, the food was delicious. Fresh, appealing and tasted great. I would go back just for that and hopefully will get a better service next time.

Sometimes I ask for added protein in the smoothie which makes it great for after workouts. It’s very fresh, always piping hot and it’s good quality coffee - Their bowls are amazing and you can customize it yourself and add whatever you like to it. Their chicken is always cooked perfectly, and they add a fair amount of every ingredient in the bowls so every bite is full of every flavor - Their pizzas are very delicious and one of my favourite thin crust pizzas! Place is alright. Mostly because the store is confusing. They put the milk in. But you put the sugar. Just leave the milk and sugar on the counter, makes orders much faster then guessing how much milk they want. Coffee was good. Space is large. Tables are with power cables. Not too noisy so it's good for meetings but also easy to overhear due to way seats are arranged.

My friend and I met for lunch today and we both enjoyed our meal. My friend had the signature salad and I had a chicken caesar wrap - both were tasty, well presented and worth the money. My coffee was excellent, as Williams' coffee always is, and my friend really enjoyed her tea. We stayed long enough to need a mid-afternoon snack, and the chocolate shake was great. The staff are friendly and efficient, and obviously enjoy their work.

Got charged $20 for 2 regular sized frappes, which were super watery and didn’t have taste. When I asked the server about the price she something along the lines of it being $5.65 so so $20 for the both made sense. No where in my life has $5.65x2 equaled $20. Also, she gave major attitude and just walked away. My friend and I also got Mac and cheese which came to us very cold and unenjoyable. At this point I have given up. This is my first time at this location and I can tell you I will never step foot in this place again. Staff are rude and unprofessional, menu items are poorly made and the prices they charge you are outrageous. I will make sure everyone I know will not be coming here. Ever.

I paid $6 for a tea with some milk... more expensive than STARBUCKS LOL The service is sub-par, the food is like McDonald's, for example the Eggs are for sure cooked in a plastic bowl in a microwave. It's not quality food so why are the prices like a restaurant? I think it's an ok atmosphere, but the WiFi is unpredictable & rarely works, and the food and beverage's are mediocre. ***EDIT: I really appreciate being sent a survey here to share my ideas in more detail. I think that's a GREAT sign of having the motivation to get better. I will give 1 extra star for this and give them another try and get back!

We went here for a lunch. We had a salad (california + chicken) and a sandwich (wasabi tuna melt). The seats were nice and the atmosphere was good. When it's busy it can be a little noisy (echo) though. The salad tasted really good and the sandwich as well. Still, we thought the portion size of the sandwich was quit small. We expected to get at least 2 slices of bread. Our overall experience is still fine!

Went mid-morning on a Saturday and ordered a cappuccino and croissant to stay. After 20 minutes, I had to go to the counter and practically beg to get someone's attention to find out why my coffee still hadn't arrived. Can't speak to the staff or atmosphere as my partner and I ordered through Door Dash, but the food was awful. I understand that it is relatively inexpensive, but for a broke college student it isn't pocket change. Everything tastes like it was microwaved or prepared in advance. The bagel sandwich wasn't toasted so it went soggy. Avocado was brown. Lettuce was wilting. Coffee, that we requested with milk and sweetener, was near pitch black and tasted as such. When we called, hoping for a refund, we were told that they were busy, and they would call us back. Honestly, don't waste your money here. I'm failing to understand how they came up with "Fresh Cafe" or "Real. Fresh."

I went in the next day and the staff not only found my wallet, however since the process took some time, I was offered a complimentary drink as well. Food is as expected for a William's, which is to say not bad, but not great. Breakfast is the better choice but they only serve it in the mornings, not sure if that has changed.

I went in with my parents who ordered 2 black coffees and 2 pastries. I ordered a cappuccino, which never appeared after 20 minutes so I went to the counter to look for it. It arrived about 5 minutes after that stone cold, as if it had been in the refrigerator. My parents had long finished theirs, which they said was very good, as were their pastries. The replacement cappuccino was warm at best, but probably would have been good if it was hot.

I would give zero if I could. Waited over an hour for a sandwich and a soup. When I finally got it I realized it had been sitting off to the side for 20 plus minutes and forgotten. They offered me a refund and took the food. So I wasted over an hour to grab my wife lunch who had to leave because her soup took longer to pour than her entire lunch break. The worst service I think I’ve ever had.

Visiting Guelph we stopped here for lunch - we ordered the Williams Power Bowl and the Mango Chipotle Chicken - we were one of the few customers in there yet they forgot to put the chicken in the Mango Chicken and used frozen vegetables. Mediocre food prepared by someone who wasn't paying attention. Not recommended.

Really like this place. Food is pretty good for the price range, staff is super friendly, and somehow it feels cozy even though it's a fair size and quite an open space. I usually go there with a couple of friends and it usually costs us about $40-$50 (without dessert). Considering that it costs me $25-$30 for junk food for two at the movies, $40-$50 for good food for three is a much better deal ????.

I try to come here multiple times a week because of the convenient location. I normally love the coffee quality and always place the same order in hopes that it will be up to par. My order is usually taken by the same staff members, but even as a regular customer I’m still constantly dealing with inconsistent/poor quality/taste most days and unwelcoming, rude and dismissive attitudes and service. Tired of spending and wasting my money here. Staff are so friendly, it’s really small but really nice and the food is good, though I didn’t get exactly what I ordered and it had avocado and spinach on it which I didn’t ask for and the menu didn’t say it had those things. However, the big reason why I am only giving it 2 stars is because I went in for breakfast on Sunday morning and they were playing a religious service over the sound system in the restaurant. I am very respectful of people’s beliefs and am Anglican myself but I don’t think at a place of business you should be playing a full of religious service over the speakers unless your business is religious in nature because you’re forcing your customers to listen to this stuff then and for me anyway I was deeply uncomfortable with having to listen to this when I just wanted to have a nice breakfast before my exam. Just play music or something instead of a religious service thing.

I come in here to study pretty frequently, and I've never had a bad experience! It gets pretty busy in here at lunch on the weekdays, so service can be a bit slow -- but the food is very good and the service is friendly, even on the busiest days. The only time I've ever had a mistake made with my order (on a crazy busy weekday when the staff were facing technical problems with the cash registers), the staff were quick to fix the issue and exceptionally friendly, even getting me a complimentary cookie as an apology. The food options are much better than many other cafes in the area -- they offer quesadillas, waffles, flatbreads, and interesting wraps rather than just the standard cafe soups, sandwiches, and salads. The desserts are great (especially the cheesecakes and the white chocolate raspberry cake), and the drink selection is far superior to most (the house-made sodas are a personal favourite, as are the London Fogs, which are so hard to find in chain cafes and so so so good). Despite rather limited access to electrical outlets (only 2 in the entire restaurant, unfortunately) and the pandemonium of the lunch rush, this is my absolute favourite place to study in Burlington. I will definitely be back!

Great coffee shop, but be super careful about parking your car. If you leave the lot for even a minute to go to another store before you leave (doesn’t matter if you’ve been at Williams for minutes or hours) parking enforcement will swoop right in to make sure you get ticketed. I’ve watched parking enforcement stand in the car park and threaten a young woman that if they saw her leave the lot they would immediately ticket her. And they weren’t kidding. They stood there and waited. Of course, this is no reflection on Williams but something to be aware of if you’re thinking of stopping in for a muffin and then grabbing a prescription from shoppers or a coffee from Starbucks.

Waited far too long for our food with no one in the restaurant.

Called this location at 2:11pm on October 31, 2021. Not sure why the staff on phone is that rude, refuse to answer my question, just say goodbye and hang up the phone. Is this how you always treat customer calls?

Nobody at the cashier inspite of knowing customers are in queue. Staff busy talking with each other.
