Here you will be able to see all the opinions of real people like you who are consuming the products and services of Tamp Coffee Co. (Coffee Shop) in the territory close to Burlington (Canada).
Nowadays the business has a score of 4.3 out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is quite high, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we can think that the valuation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

(Translated) Delicious cut! (Original) Delicious cortado!
Best coffee in Burlington, their Cold Brew coffee and London Fog are some of my faves.
Love the coffee. Delicious gluten free snacks.
Edited: Since my last visit the store has had all the proper precautions in place with employees wearing masks and hand sanitizer being available at the entrance. Americano was solid too - freshly made and delicious!
I love coming to Tamp for my latte fix! Great service and awesome snacks and coffee!
By far the best coffee! Staff is amazing, nothing but good things to say!
Best cappuccino I've ever had.
Great small coffee shop with a wide range of choices in both beverage and snack items. Reasonably priced too!! Great staff.
My favourite coffee place. All the different coffees I tried are great, beans roasted to perfection. Bakery is also very good. Much better than any other coffee shop. I prefer this location over Brandt's.
This is a great local coffee house with a really inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Long Black or the Americano. I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and I’m proud to support it.
Great coffee. Thank you
This is the second time that my fiancé and I have been to this location. We might give it one more shot - third times a charm? The coffee is great. Food selection is a little small (got there around 2 on a Sunday and there were maybe 3 options left?) but good. There’s just something about the staff that doesn’t feel warm or inviting. My fiancé had sat down at the bar to wait for our drinks while the owner was making them and a new girl was on cash. The new girl was great. I got my drink and just waited for my fiancé’s. The new girl called out the drink and kind of looked at us like “did you guys order this Americano” which we had so we took it. After my fiancé had put milk and sugar in it they realized the customer who had ordered before us also had got the same drink. Since no one had claimed it right away we assumed it was ours. However, the owner made my fiancé feel embarrassed and told us that it was for someone else. We didn’t know. Instead of saying something along the lines of “oh no worries, I have to make another one anyways it’s all good!” She said to him, “you took a drink that was for someone else. Did you even order an Americano?” Which he said yes to. She said, “okay I’m gonna make another one, so don’t take it.” I don’t know if she knew how it came across but it felt snarky and a little rude - especially coming from the owner. I worked as a barista myself for 8 years so I know mistakes happen and customers take wrong drinks all the time. One thing that can be done to improve this is to get the customers name when they order so mistakes like this don’t happen again. I understand you strive for quality drinks but customer service could really use some work.
Always enjoy coming here for an amazing coffee experience whenever I am in downtown Burlington. I usually go for the Cortado, made perfectly. They have a great selection to only baked treats too, healthy or otherwise.
The servers here are so miserable. Would a greeting and even half a smile be so tough? I'm not expecting much, but always a negative feeling when here. The coffee is average at best to boot.
Solid coffee. Solid humans. Leave the politics at home and enjoy some of the finest coffee you can get in the 905!!
Superb Coffee! Got the caramel latte! Love it! Wish they had locations in Toronto.
I'd like a side of coffee with the pretentiousness
I've always tried to support smaller business and the coffee is quite good, but I'm through with going to this place. I've been to Tamp every Sat/Sun for the past 4 months and often throughout the week, and the service is actually terrible. I'm convinced the five star ratings have either been provided by friends or occasional patrons who caught them on a good day. It almost feels like there is a little clique within the place; they don't seem to realize that it isn't good for business when you project a "I'm too cool to be serving you this coffee" vibe.
Tamp Coffee Co. is family owned and operated. Its great coffee, great service and the staff members are friendly nd professional.
The best Americano , Great service
Nice place.
Disappointed that they chose not to redeem a gift card.
Staff is respectful, they are cyclist-friendly and the coffee is excellent. Maya and her team of baristas can dial-in and pull a great shot of espresso and they keep us coming back for more. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality experience.
It was my first time coming in, my husband meets a lot of his clients there and they always ask for Tamp coffee. Can't believe it took me this long to try!!!Amazing amazing coffee, lovely atmosphere! Met the owner super nice and very welcoming!!! The coffee is really incredible!
A little on the pricey side but very much worth it. I enjoyed my cappuccino!
I've visited a few times, and have always been please with the standard of coffee. The decor is nice, and the staff usually friendly.
Always loved going to this place literally each day while working near by, always remember having great baristas and a nice experience. Def fairly pricy but its fairly expected considering the location and fancy vibe.
They have really good brownies and the coffee is really good too. Staff are very nice and friendly.
Best Coffee - love the environment.
What a great coffee spot! I recently craved some real coffee and saw this spot. I went in and was greeted from the amazing staff. I tried their cappuccino and my coffee craving had been satisfied. Smooth roast from the bean freshly grounded, creamy taste of the hot frothed milk and once you combine them both ohh boy its delicious. One last thing, they make designs with the frothed milk. AWESOME SPOT!!!
I've been going to Tamp for years and I've always had a great experience and love the coffee!! Keep up the great work!!
Favorite place for coffee in downtown Burlington however the food options leave much to be desired. Ordered a brownie here the other day and it was still have frozen. They have no means of warming it up either. Nice to sit in the patio at the back during the summer as it's located in the village.
I like this place .Coffee is good but they don't have good variety of desserts and sweets .
Personnel does not wear masks to protect their clients from Covid-19 I believe nobody should risk his/her life or their families by going here.
Great Local coffee shop with great coffee and a wonderful atmosphere!
Great location and good drinks
I've travelled throughout the world and have experienced cafes and coffee-joints at numerous locations...always searching for that very special flavour and particular bite to an espresso based coffee that makes you want another...very difficult to find in North America. Tamp baristas are well trained and have that touch...the coffee they create leaves you wanting another...hard to do over and over again which is why I frequent the establishment when I'm in Burlington. Creating a coffee by hand is very different than by machine and requires skill and knowledge to pull it off just right...and yummy too...and I find that to be the main reason I enjoy my coffee at Tamp. I too have experienced a hint of indifference in the service from certain staff...but I have also experienced the complete opposite on many other occasions. Not sure what to say about how I am treated when I want a coffee...I want a coffee because of the flavour...I ask them to make it ...and they make it amazingly!! I highly recommend Tamp to anyone looking for that perfect espresso based coffee ????????
Great coffee, great baked goods, super friendly staff and free wifi!
Best coffee in Burlington.
The coffee itself is good, but I've found the service to be a bit unfriendly. Almost like you're asking them to do you a favour begrudgingly, as opposed to you paying them for a product / service ... Maybe I just had bad luck in terms of service the few times that I've been. But definitely doesn't make me want to go back frequently.
Third-wave coffee shop selling beans of their own brand, but are not roasted by the company. Dark roasts. The service is indifferent, yet the baristas deliver well-crafted drinks made on high quality equipment, with excellent latte art. The atmosphere is not warm and welcoming, the decor is a little generic and ubiquitous for my taste, but if you're looking for good coffee in Burlington, this would be the place to go.
Best cappuccino in the area
One of the best coffee in the GTA. Whenever I visit Burlington, I make a stop here for a coffee. Their espressos, long black and Americano are great. If their espresso is great, it shows that at the base of any drink, it will be good. If I'm staying, I'll get a almond milk cortado. Probably my favorite drink! I find Tamp on the pricier side, however, the coffee is so good, I can't help but go back.
Consistently very good coffee here. Try the banana bread.
Favourite coffee spot in town! Awesome environment to enjoy a coffee with friends and relax. The space is roomy & clean with a nice patio outback to hang out. The baristas are genuine, talented and make great conversation. Perfect little downtown spot for a coffee. Would strongly recommend visiting, you won’t find anything like it near by.
Great place to come for coffee, it doesn't have a huge amount of seating capacity so don't come here planning on sitting down for an extended period because sometimes it's packed. Their drinks are all great, their oat milk is okay but not as good as other brands in lattes. Still the best option for coffee in Burlington at either location.
Awesome atmosphere. Fantastic coffee!
Every coffee drink I've ordered here I've liked. They also have an excellent seating area in the back and in the alley behind it.
Coffee is great
Best coffee in Burlington!
Shame.
Tamp is and always will be my favorite coffee shop to go to in Ontario! They use amazing beans with top quality machines and the servers are very knowledgeable, the only thing I would reccomend is that they get new merchandise as I'd really like a cool good quality tamp shirt! Please do this
Highly recommend this place! Fantastic atmosphere and super friendly staff. Hate to see the negative reviews over the fact that they actually respect their customers who have mask exemptions - they are very safe and accommodating to everyone. Definitely will be back for their amazing coffee!
Good coffee
I have only visited this coffee shop once and tried their matcha latte. I personally wasn't a big fan of their matcha latte but their coffee was good.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Awesome coffee and small selection of baked goods.
Good coffee in a small laidback atmosphere.
I have had my share of coffee in and around the city. This coffee shop has the best coffee in all Ontario people. Yes Ontario. Not just talking Toronto or Burlington but Ontario. I was even in Victoria BC recently and still nothing as good. I love my Tamp at Pine.
Not sure what was going on with others having a bad experience. I'm definitely not young or a hipster but over the past two years I have had only good service and excellent coffee on average 2-3 times a month. Then again I don't go to a café to chat up the barrista. Anyway, I love the coffee and although a small place I enjoy the indy atmosphere. I hope others enjoy it as well.
I was recently at a Starbucks and the manager was harassing me, a person with two medical conditions (that prevent me from wearing a mask) for not wearing a mask, while telling me they wear a mask for those who can't so I should too. I was in utter shock, not everyone who can't wear a mask is 80 years old. I went into Tamp for the coffee, I'll return for the compassion and community! I was nervous entering, from judgements elsewhere, and my recent run in at Starbucks. Not only is this small business fully aware of the exemptions to the bylaw, (they even posted them next to their service barrier to inform the public), but they were very accommodating, and so were their regulars who had been educated about people such as myself. It's a place I can go and be me, without the judgement and ignorance. P.s. the coffee is amazing!
Good coffee, but it ends there. The staff and owner generally don’t seem to be friendly or appreciate your business. Other Indy coffee shops you can have a friendly chat like Detour in Dundas but Tamp is not the same. Too pretentious for me.
Go to place in Burlington for espresso. Great treats and excellent coffee!!! Staff is very friendly as are the owners. Relax here!!
My favorite coffee shop in downtown Burlington
Amazing espresso! Friendly options available for each individuals unique taste as they offer many milk alternatives, a huge tea selection, and delicious snacks along with the best espresso. Can't make it a day without stopping in and I don't live in town! Highly recommend.
Ordered an Americano, really good. Staff was friendly and the vibe was relaxing. Will be back.
Their espresso is treated with care. For a cup made properly, come to Tamp.
Grate coffee and service. My to go place in Burlington
I've gone to Tamp three times now. I make a point of going there whenever I'm in town. I've ordered lattes and a macchiato. All were made very well. I had three different baristas and the service was always great. I wish the other reviewers who are having negative experiences with the service could include the names of the baristas. Maybe it's just one barista that needs an attitude check.
My go to place for coffee in the Burlington area. I love to ride hear for a quick bean and enjoy the back patio which is very quiet and peaceful. They also have a newer location on Brant Street which is nice but this is still my go to. Pro tip the sea salt chocolate chip cookies are AMAZING!
Super nice staff, enjoyed my Americano.
My Americana was great and served quickly.
Employees are great, and even better, the coffee is the best I’ve ever been served here. Perfect drinking temperature, and perfect amount of foam. I love the art that is added into the drinks as well. It gives the feeling that the employees care. My friend who works there is happy to get a shift. Each time he works there, it is the happiest he can be. He really cares about the customers experience.
Tried this little place out as it was recommended to me; good coffee but very inhospitable staff. I didn't have a particularly bad experience however the atmosphere definitely didn't feel inviting. Nice to try but not great to visit.
So I wanted to edit this review. I went back after being unhappy with the service a few months ago. I've been back a few times to each location and I good service. The coffee was great and your team won me over.
Solid place. No coffee just espresso drinks but an Americano is just as good.
Best coffee shop in Burlington hands down. Great service and great coffee.
Tamp coffee is amazing. Great coffee, friendly staff. They follow all govt guidelines in regards to covid19. If you have a medical exemption that is okay. If you are to uncomfortable with medical exemptions they will deliver to you outside. No complaints. Great place for high quality coffee.
Service
Great place to grab coffee. I just happened to park right next too it and just happened to be looking for coffee. Great coffee and the chedar chive scone I got was incredibly fresh. Also what an amazing little hidden area, totally in love with this area.
First of all, I thought the location was very nice and the setting was exactly what I was looking for. I asked what kinds of beans We’re used for the espresso and the employee working seemed inconvenienced by my curiosity. The service was very poor but that’s not what I care about. When I am paying for a handcrafted drink I except the barista to at least have the knowledge needed to craft a proper beverage. I’m going to add a picture of what my cappuccino looked like seconds after being served & what my cappuccino at my regular cafe looks like every single time. Even Starbucks baristas know to tap out any bubbles in your milk & espresso... I can’t seem to figure out how to post a photo but it just looked like brown bubbly froth, not super appetizing when I go out for a high quality coffee
I went into this location last night and the girl that served us was very friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Latte was excellent. She also helped point me in the direction of some awesome vegan protein powder! Thanks Mel!
Great coffee, but for whatever reason the staff at both locations (at least when I've been in) don't seem overly pleased or personable.. ????????♂️ You'd expect that a barista, like a bartender, would be a bit more up beat and sociable.
Excellent Cappuccinos! Better than most cafe's in Europe!
Always dependable for great coffee
Consistent, solid espresso. Supplied by social, and occasionally have more interesting coffees from there, although they aren’t serving them right now.
Two words - Cold Brew.
Delicious coffee, warm atmosphere and understanding owners who have done their due diligence to respect human rights in Canada. Well done ????????
Unreal coffee , friendly staff , great atmosphere . 5 star experience for the habibi's
Amazing coffee and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Support your local, small shops!!
They are just plain rude....
Really like the coffee and the whole atmosphere of the place
Great coffee. A true authentic coffe bar.
Great coffee, service is hit or miss. Check out other options downtown and you won't have to worry about dealing with staff not wearing masks, or being called a Karen for damaging the owners fragile ego by commenting on the internet.
Too busy
Great cozy little shop, great speciality coffee! Loved the energy ball too. We were passing through the town on a road trip and they made our morning ♥️
I don't know what they do differently, but I love Tamp. My go to is the turmeric latte or super coffee. Super friendly service, the freshest java you'll ever have, and staff is knowledgeable and very quick to make your order. I drive from Hamilton probably once a week just to enjoy a nice Tamp coffee. Snacks are locally made and unique, and it's never too busy when I've gone. Happy they have their patio open, too! Don't forget to download the Tamp Coffee Co app before you go to start collecting points!
Best coffee in Burlington
The atmosphere is great and it's some of the best coffee found in Burlington !
Boutique coffee with tasty treats
My favourite Tamp ;)
Awesome cigar place. The guys there are very chill and they have a nice smoking lounge in the back. Very nice place!
I've frequented Tamp. Co and it's a fantastic place to get quality coffee in Burlington. The atmosphere is very cozy and the espresso is always on point. The price is on the higher end and comparable to coffee shops based out of Toronto, but nothing outrageous. For the quality, it's definitely worth it. My personal favourites are the Super Coffee and Caramel Latte.
Awesome coffee. Always a pleasant visit Recommended when in the area
Great atmosphere and staff. I'm not a coffee drinker, but their chai lattes and baked goods are a great treat.
Favourite coffee shop! Their matcha & pistachio energy ball is addictive. Also Thank You for allowing dogs in ????
Best Coffee in the GTA.
Best coffee in Burlington. There is generally no where to sit as it's such a popular place, but there are lots of places to enjoy it downtown.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, great location. Staff are very friendly. They offer a small gluten free selection and some non dairy drinks.
Small, cute place with helpful and nice staff. Coffees a bit bitter but otherwise amazing place overall
Best Americano I've ever had. Every single time. And I go often. Pine street is bigger. Great feel of real wood. Awesome place to meet friends or start and finish a bike ride! Highly recommend.
The coffee is so disappointing. It used to be the best. I won't be going back.
The coffee are great here
They are not prejudiced against people that cannot wear a mask. Coffee was fresh and delicious.
Dine in
Find another shop that believes in following public health guidelines.
To my taste - the best coffee around. If you lucky, you will get a latte art, but even without it the coffee is very good!
Good coffee. Batista was kinda snarkey. No "for here " cups for large Latte. One washroom. Snacks were pretty lame but my Latte was hot and we'll done.
Great coffee . Best espresso based beverages in Burlington.
Easily the best shot of espresso in Burlington. Although the service isn't anything to rave about, I do think the owner's have corrected the issues as they've been very friendly each time I've gone.
Best espresso drinks around in a wonderful, relaxed, atmosphere with free WiFi and plenty of excellent croissants, scones and other treats. Comfortable indoor and outdoor (front & back) seating. I am now a regular.
Spectacular coffee. Whether for your early morning solace, an afternoon pick me up or even early evening zen session, Tamp delivers. Beautiful pulls off the two group Synesso MVP Hydra. Competent staff and chill little spot. Most certainly worthy of your attention.
Amazing coffee! Amazing service!
Nice cafe here downtown Burlington. They offer cold brew nitro brew , pour over, and all the essentials etc. The interior is a rustic wooden feel, really cosy. Great snack items too.
Love their lattes!!
The best coffee in Halton, without a doubt.
Really good tasting coffee, nice relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service. I've been here a few times and always enjoy the change over the big chains.
The coffee is excellent and the baked goods are delicious. The only thing I wish was that there was more seating!
A coffee staple
Consistently rude and poor service, plus the whole mask thing. Bye ????
Love the location and really wanted to support the local business downtown. However, the barista with the brown hair is very snobby. Cant even ask a question... not an inviting coffee shop as previous customers have complained about. No one is wearing a mask even when they are not eating or drinking just waiting around for their coffee.. also the coffee lids are out on the counter for everyone to touch.. how is that safe ? Not practising social distancing what so ever. I am so disappointed in the service i received today.
Great service and friendly
Best matcha lettes!!! Love the atmosphere and staff. A must try!!
Best coffee in town. Great atmosphere
The music and the coffee are great!
Lovely place, but constantly see customers with no masks on, isn't mandatory?
Great place and coffee even better...thank you
Great coffee and atmosphere, nice stop for cyclist in Burlington
Drinks were fine nothing earth shattering.... price on the high end. My main issue is staff- unwelcoming no greet when we walked in (only ppl there) and no smiles barely even eye contact.... when my drink was ready I barely even heard them say which drink it was ( i was standing right at the counter) and I said thank you and got no response or even a glance upward..... wouldn't recommend going nor would I return.
Best espresso in Burlington/Oakville area. Great atmosphere, I'd recommend it ! The staff could be a little friendlier though, they usually have little to no interest in conversation.
Our favourite coffee in Burlington. High-quality coffee - when not-covid, a great place to get some work done also.
Great coffee, great staff!!
Homey, non-chain café, best London Fog I have ever had. Would recommend to anyone wishing to try a more local place instead of a café chain, and to anyone wanting a warm drink tea, coffee or otherwise. I definitely will be returning. Pros: • Amazing drinks • Location • Atmosphere • Prices weren’t over the top • Better than Starbucks when compared • Healthier choice • Enough staff Cons: • None My Experience: My friend and I decided to walk down to the lake in the downtown Burlington area in October. Being chilled by the weather we felt like something warm to drink and decided to try somewhere new. Entering the Tamp Café the first thing you notice is the homey atmosphere and of course the enticing smell of coffee. We both ordered a London Fog, the lady who worked there was kind, made them quickly, deserved the gracious tip we gave, and the London Fogs tasted amazing. Better than the Starbucks version and also had less calories. I will definitely be returning.
Amazing coffee! I just go in Burlington
Hands down the best coffee in Burlington. Great baristas, great service, great vibe. Love supporting local too.
love this place but two of their female baristas need to go. worst attitude/service ever. seriously ruins the whole experience of going there.
Excellent coffee, but only available till 2pm for drip?! Ppl do not stop drinking java by this time. Sandwiches only available till random times on random days dependant upon who’s working... so much potential but no one wants to be chasing a caffeine kick through this complex system created.Too many inconsistencies, very mismanaged and feels to be run by frat type employees. Shame.
Coffee made with care and expertise.
A nice cozy place to grab coffee - prices are quite expensive though for the cup size you get. Staff can definitely be friendlier!
Turbo latte. Unbelievably smooth!
Nice little coffee shop a block from the Lakeshore. Has won acclaim for their coffee and their prices are in line or cheaper than Starbucks so it's a good choice.
Edited to reduce stars. Focus is on exemptions for mask bylaw rather than encouraging people to be cautious. Burlingtonians are happily taking advantage of that.
Tamp is more than just great service, delicious coffee and treats, it’s where everyone meets up and hangs out ❤️
Nothing beats Tamp espresso blend for your anytime caffeine fix. Turbo size is the way to go! Friendly, knowledgeable staff and cool decor make this the place to hang out downtown Burlington.
Coffee is ok, nothing special for the price. Some of staff extremely nice, some sarcastic and unhelpful....and noisy inside..
Meal type
Great coffee
Cappucino is extremely smooth. Im very fussy with my coffee and this place gets it right. I give it only 4 stars because the staff is not always friendly
The tumeric latte was good
It was absolutely packed (Family Day) but the coffee was out of this world!
Not impressed with Tamp, coffee quality doesn't live up to the price point. More importantly, staff and ownership's disregard for COVID regulations should not be ignored or taken lightly.
Best coffee in Burlington. There is no better so don't bother trying to look for another spot!
I walked into this so called “establishment” with my friend, we were both wearing masks- that seemed to trigger the employees who immediately started yelling at us. Long story short we immediately left. Don’t waste your money at this dumpster bin.
Best coffee in the city. Staff is very respectful towards individual needs. I felt very safe.
The coffee is amazing, staff is like family, such a relaxing atmosphere at this location. The place is meticulously clean, always see staff wiping everything clean during this covid era we are in.
Great place to meet friends or read a book. Hidden A+ patio in the back.
Beautiful coffee. Had a great black americano!
Great coffee with one of the best cinnamon roll I ever try. Great place to relax after a bike ride.
They have decided to take a stand and ignore public health guidelines for masks, I can only imagine what other public health guidelines they are ignoring that we don't see.
Great coffee, cute spot. Would love to come back! I wish they had a few more bakery items but overall great.
Best coffee around. The unique blend they have made from Social Coffee Co is on point. I don’t like to think of myself as a coffee snob... but it’s true. The coffee here’s spoiled me for sure.
Really not a great experience here - flat white was only about half full and the iced chai was honestly just milky water and tasted like the tea was steeped for about 10 seconds. Disappointing and the drink was definitely not finished to say the least.
Great coffee and service but the cafe doesn't lean towards sitting down and getting cozy.
Best coffee in Burlington!
Pleasant atmosphere and great coffee. The pastry options are not many but I guess everything else makes up for that :-) one of my favourite places to have coffee and relax!
Fantastic coffee, great atmosphere, excellent baristas. My favorite!
I had a magnificent time at Tamp! Amazing service. AMAZING coffee.
Service can be spotty especially if you are not a hipster or millennial, but the coffee is fantastic! Nothing better than sitting out front on a warm spring day sipping on an Americano enjoying a flaky croissant and watching the world go by.
Great coffee, cozy atmosphere. A little noisy though.
Incredibly disappointed in Tamp for not enforcing masks. There's a serious pandemic going on and they can't be bothered to care about customer safety. They are doing a disservice no only to their customers but to themselves. Will not be supporting this business ever again, wish I could give a zero star review.
Found it! The best coffee shop in Burlington.
This is by far the best coffee you can find between Niagara and Toronto, exclusive. Perfectly roasted, always fresh and made to perfection. Also, the customer service here is incredible. Highly recommend!!!
Normally I loathe coffee but Tamp must use fresh enough ingredients that the coffee doesn't taste burnt and old. Great staff, great shop, great coffee. They need to add tipping to their interac machine so bring cash for the staff.
Went into Tamp at village square and "no one is wearing a mask" in the coffee shop, not even the pretentious servers. The employee with longish blond hair was very rude, with attitude. People walking in, no masks, people working on laptops, no masks
Thank you to the team at Tamp for taking the middle road during this so called Pandemic. It must have been very difficult to set personal feelings aside while respecting the clients who I know they look at like family and say we will not judge or take sides, with or without masks they are always open to everyone to simply serve a great coffee and freshly made food. So courageous and deserving of all the community support. Your the best!
Best coffee in Burlington
The blueberry cheesecake squares are amazing
Went for coffee this morning since I love the coffee there. I've learnt to deal with the unfriendly overly cool people who work there since the coffee is worth it. When I arrived I had to make my way through 3 young women blocking the door inside. None of them were wearing a mask and only one was drinking a coffee. The barista eventually told them to move to the back so they weren't blocking the door. What about safety protocols? They should have been told to put their masks on or have their coffee outside. Disappointing ...
Great espresso ????
Great espresso. Great vibe. Dog friendly patio out back.
Always great to drop in for a latte.
The dark haired barista must have rolled out of the wrong side of her bed as she was quite rude and nasty to everyone! Thankfully the coffee speaks for itself
Jimmy, Maya and their team are great at bringing the community together. It’s always vibrant and their coffee is the best in Burlington by far.
Important to know before you go: if you order here your coffee may be prepared by someone not wearing a face shield or mask. Owners are blaming negative reviews on a smear campaign and yet bad reviews are simply pointing out the obvious: you can't be sure your coffee is prepared in a sanitary way. Whether it's legal or not people should know the dangers of ordering coffee here during a pandemic.
Great place for a nice cup of latte or whatever you like. Great people, great atmosphere and nice selection of drinks to choose from. They have couple of locations in Burlington but no matter which one you choose you won’t regret it.
I regularly head over to Tamp for my morning brew. They go out of the way to accommodate my "fussy" order and are always friendly and engaging. The coffee is really good and there is a local community of regulars that one can engage with for a casual conversation. It's a family owned business - Jimmy and Miya (SP?) work hard and do a great job. They are a part of our community and are a wonderful part of the Burlington downtown core.
I went here for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. My flat white was great! The barista was lovely and helpful. The overall coffee flavour was so rich! (And I take great pride in calling myself a coffee snob????)
Best coffee ever!
Great staff, friendly and informative...nice place...first time at the pine Street location
Was there Saturday afternoon(6th). Staff had masks on, patrons had masks on. No issues. Cappuccino was good, not as good as Cuban mind you but not much is around these parts. Young ladies were pleasant and efficient! Always enjoy some Tamp on the weekend!
Nice busy place. The pecan square is a hit. Friendly and quick service.
Easliy the best coffee in burlington
My favourite place for coffee and tea (rooibos with almond milk). Tried the energy balls yesterday and now I have one more thing to enjoy.
Excellent Americano here. Very smooth, I am only sad I didn't buy a bag of beans for home.
Amazing cold coffee
Best coffee in Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, and certainly Mississauga. Jimmy is very involved and extremely picky so I trust I am always getting his best product.
Great place. Very trendy and hipster. I'd give 5 but personally not my scene. If you're into that you won't be disappointed.
Stuff is good but good luck ever getting anything! Their hours are never accurate, pretty sure it’s a front for something
Great atmosphere and great coffee!
Comfy, relaxed and the coffee is always delicious.
Great coffee in a really cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice brew of strong coffee that you can savor this is the place for you!
Good coffee
Great coffee but, grumpy group of people working including the owner.
Delicious hand crafted coffee. Awesome little place, friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Great vanilla latte, all COVID protocols followed. Cup lids were even laid out in a way that other customers/barista would never touch one by accident. Felt safe, so nice to go out for a good coffee.
Really good coffee. I had a flat white. Excellent. Awesome donuts too.
Been a customer for years! Great coffee and knowledgeable staff. Cute and quaint location in the heart of downtown Burlington. ????
Great coffee but extremely poor customer service. We received a discount code which is valid until December 2021 and the barista refused to give us the discount and yelled at us instead. While we understand the business is struggling due to COVID, we were still trying to support Tamp despite struggling ourselves. The shop should honour what they have posted online and not treat their customers poorly. Will not be going back.
Our favorite coffee spot mainly because of the environment, amazing coffee and those awesome nutritional balls that they make.
Best coffee in town, chilled atmosphere, great owners and staff!
My husband is addicted to Tamp but more importantly their coffee. While I'm not a coffee connoisseur, I can say this is the best coffee I've had. Smooth, rich and flavourful. They also have a nice back patio and front seating area, very relaxing.
I would not recommend going to this location. Although masks are mandatory indoors in Ontario, no one was wearing one; staff and customers alike. In addition the two employees working there were not friendly in the slightest- very poor customer service. I will not be bringing my business here again.
Cozy and casual spot for a GREAT cappuccino! Never have I had a cappuccino taste so good! Their Adaptogenic Energy Balls are killer! Will be hitting this place up again and again!
Been coming here since July 2019. Extremely well and consistently prepared espresso. The only real coffee-shop in downtown Burlington. Great staff and overall a very nice shop. I have no idea what people are going on about re: anti-mask/anti-covid. There are signs everywhere mentioning the covid rules and staff is masked up and behind plastic shields. Basically the same experience as going to a Sobey's. I'm as much a "stranger" or "customer" to the business as anyone else. I'm treated like a regular and have never had conflict there, nor seen conflict. Regarding other commentators mentioning people "sitting there with no masks" - yes, I've seen that too - during the period when business were still allowed to have people dine-in *without a mask* as long as one was eating/drinking.
Beautiful location. Unfortunately that’s where it all ends. Barista was not wearing a mask. There were other people in the shop sitting without a mask. Staff seems like they can’t be bothered to acknowledge their customers or even crack a smile. We were about to order but considering the lack for public safety they showed we decided to leave. I would like to think we are all doing our part but apparently not. Tamp coffee...you need to do better ????????♂️
Best joint in burlington.
Amazing cappuccino, scones and croissants! Jimmy and Maya always make you feel welcome! Super friendly atmosphere every time my family and I visit. Best place in Burlington for your java fix and to just relax.
Great coffee, cute place, can't wait til we can open up properly to sit in.
I went with a friend, left almost immediately when we noticed staff did not have masks on. Unfortunate, because we were new customers. I will never return.
Great coffee shop. Next door to village cigar shop
I love tamp!! Best coffee in Burlington BY FAR. Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The owners and staff are incredible every time!
Great coffee and friendly barristas :)
No coffee compares
One of the best coffee shops in all of Halton. Coffee is delicious, healthy snacks, friendly staff and keep your mask politics to yourself. This is a coffee shop not a soap box!
Fantastic coffee and impeccable service.
I googled best coffee in Burlington and was not disappointed! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and have a passion for coffee. I ordered a couple of lattes and a pair of sea salt chocolate chip cookies and everything was spectacular. This place is worth trying.
Alright, but wasn't really my vibe. Still specialty coffee nonetheless!
Great spot! Coffee the way coffee is meant to be enjoyed! In a city starved for independent business...Tamp hits the target!
Getting coffee from Tamp was a really unpleasant experience and I did not feel safe being there. As far as I know, “the City of Burlington has enacted By-Law 62-2020 requiring the use of face masks or face coverings, with some exceptions, in all indoor public spaces”. Of the 13 people in this tiny coffee shop today, I only saw 3 wearing masks- and my husband and I were two of them. Wearing masks was not being enforced, social distancing wasn’t being followed (or enforced), the milk and lids are on the counter for anyone to grab, and there is apparently no limit to how many people can be in Tamp at one time. My husband went in without me at first, and when I kept seeing people going in without masks, I went in to tell him we should just leave. Unfortunately, he ordered before he realized what was happening around him and he had to wait 10 minutes in there for our order. We finally left with our drinks and wrapped snacks, but neither of us could drink them. Wasted $25. It was really confusing and nerve racking because we live in Hamilton and all of our local indie coffee shops have provided the safest, loveliest experiences. Durand, Synonym, Cafe Baffico, Dundurn Market, Salty, Relay, etc.- all have strict limits for the # of customers allowed in at a time, they do milk/cream/whatever for you so customers aren’t grabbing all of the lids and containers, and masks are strictly enforced. Say what you want about a lower risk now, but masks are supposed to be worn. I’ll never go Tamp again. (I’m sure they don’t care.) Though, maybe this is a Burlington thing in general? What’s the harm in being careful and following a mask bylaw?
Their matcha lattes might be one of the best beverages on the planet. Love the atmosphere, the staff are wonderful, and it's a great place to sit and soak up the warmth.
Cant beat the americano from this place! Two locations, one on brant and one on Pine street. Personally I love the pine street location. But if your going for more than a coffee, the brant street location has some delicious snacks!
I usually have a wonderful experience at Tamp. It’s my favourite coffee shop in Burlington. But I was extremely disappointed to walk into the store this morning and see that non of the staff are wearing masks. This is putting customers at risk and I will not be buying my coffee here again until I know that they are taking steps to make sure they are doing their part to stop this virus. I’m extremely upset
I have to agree with Alynn B. Customer service is every bit important as what your coffee tastes like.
Great coffee, very friendly staff! My fav spot!
Best coffee in Burlington and Hamilton area. Thanks for being open during this twilight zone 1984 time we are going through so I can keep some normality and sanity.
Great coffee, great service and awesome owners. A very relaxed place!!
The beverages are pretty decent here, I especially love their in-house made cold brew. The staff is definitely well trained on how to make a latte, I've never had a drink I didn't like. Unfortunately, the staff can be a bit unwelcoming, and on the three different occasions that I visited this location, I found the staff to be even a bit rude (Hence the 2-star). There was a bit of pretentiousness about the store, and it was a bit uncomfortable. However, I'd definitely give them another try - it's hard to find someone who makes a latte as well as they do. If you can ignore the pretentious and rude staff, they make a mean latte.
If you love Coffee and enjoy discovering a place that feels like home and the idea of having coffee with friends is your kind of fun then it's here at Tamp Coffee that you can do just that. Jimmy and Maja are always welcoming and go above and beyond. The coffee is excellent and if you want to connect or converse with someone who knows coffee it's Jimmy. I highly recommend you always make time for Tamp Coffee whenever you visit Burlington Ontario Canada.
It's ok
Good coffee, seating and wifi
A favourite place. Best coffee place in town.
Delicious cappuccino and fresh baked cookies. Great service, reasonable prices. Lovely little modern industrial wood/tile space with concrete counters and chalkboards.
Amazing Place! I come here all the time because they’re inclusive of everyone, whether you can wear a mask or, like myself, are under the mask exemption. Unlike starbucks where I got yelled at by a Barista for not wearing a mask, Tamp always is a friendly environment with even better coffee! They take great measures to make sure everyone feels safe, including all the regular COVID protocols. I hope dine in can open up soon as I enjoy spending time in an atmosphere as nice as Tamp!
Beautiful coffee... the aftertaste is that of chewing rich creamy coffee beans. I really appreciate that their scones aren't covered in sugar; whether sweet or savoury, it's a great compliment to the java!
Awesome cafe
One of the worst coffee places that I went to. If there is anything below 1 ????. The ice late has no flavor at all. It's more like drinking colored water. BIG RIPPED OFF PLACE!!!
Great coffee, great atmosphere.
Good coffee
Simply the best coffee around.
Always a pleasure popping into Tamp for a coffee and banana bread! Their coffee is fantastic and a lovely place to spend a lazy Saturday morning. There are some key people in this city who through their business have fostered a sense of connection and community, and Maya and Jimmy are a big part of it.
I have come to tamp coffee many times. The coffee is average but better than other coffee chains. I cannot help but comment on how rude the people who work there are! I wonder if the owner's is aware of how much attitude the people they have hired have towards customers! It makes me not want to support a local business when I am treated poorly.
Wonderful staff and a very welcoming atmosphere.
super cute lids!
Best Coffee. Best Atmosphere. Best Staff. Truly a community gem in downtown Burlington which we are lucky to have! Addicted to Tamp Coffee!
Slow, rude service and no masks on the customers or staff.
Jimmy & his Team do a great job! His Coffee, Teas @ Espresso Beans are TOP NOTCH!!
Excellent coffee, if not a bit pretentious service. Not a very comfortable environment but they serve probably the best coffee in Burlington. Try their pourover or americano!
Tamp coffee co. is a community atmosphere like no other! Baristas are welcoming and customer service is excellent! The coffee and beverages that you receive from Tamp is of the highest qualities that are roasted locally! My personal favourite is the turmeric latte with espresso! Tamp coffee co. has created a safe space for its customers during this pandemic which is why my fiancé and I choose to visit frequently. They have followed all public health measures and protocols including masking and social distancing policies. They are deserving of all community support! Thank you Tamp team for continuing to serve your community safely!
Disappointed with the poor customer service and lack of welcoming environment. Employees weren't wearing masks.
Love the coffee and the employees! Definitely my go-to for coffee in Burlington.
The owner claims to have a social media smear campaign but what do you expect when you disregard basic mask protocol. Since the pandemic started I’ve never been to a business that has so many customers that fall under the “mask exemption”. When I asked the barista, her response was a sarcastic “they all have mask exemptions!” response. Their coffee isn’t actually terrible. But I can’t support a business that shows a disregard for community safety.
I went because of the good reviews (which I now believe some were fabricated). Disappointing to say the least, both baristas were dry and impolite. I paid $5 for coffee with ice!? I thought it was supposed to be a frappe like drink (apparently not, just whatever is easier to make). Also place is very small like a college dorm room and the washroom makes you feel like your in a construction site because of the extremely loud fan and electrical panel/wires on the walls. I'm a fit guy but seriously that toilet was made for minions
Love the Latte....Tasted an awesome (Flavourful) ice Latte after a long time.
Went to this coffee shop for the first time ever today after living in Burlington for 20 years and I must say, I was impressed! Lovely staff, quite quaint and in a beautiful location. Latte was to die for, made with oat milk just like I like it! I will definitely be coming here to work/enjoy the atmosphere again soon!
Great coffee, staff has always been friendly. Get yourself one of their stainless mugs. I bought one and ended up goin back for another. Best mug I've ever had, I use it for everything now.
Other
Really good coffee. Nice selection of treats.
Sour coffee
Good coffee but the most miserable bunch of employees ever. They need a couple classes in hospitality and eye contact.
Decent coffee but the location of store is nice
It's a great place to have coffee and a nibble on our ride through Burlington.
Great local coffee house
