Good coffee, but too much focus on Starbucks-like concoctions (toasted marshmallow cream latte, anyone?) Be warned that icecream portion are humongous (but very tasty). Patio directly on busy street is not ideal, but they had no other place.

Pleasant environment, enjoyable fare. Was on the run and stopped in for a quick bite, had an egg and bacon breakfast sandwich on multigrain and a latte. I probably should have asked if I could add lettuce+tomato, but it was still quite good, and certainly better than other breakfast options available (i.e. Tim Horton's). Definitely will return when I have more time to enjoy the other sandwiches and baked goods - I have a soft spot for cafés that still serve carrot cake.

Not impressed at all. Went for ice cream with my daughter this past week and the size of a scoop was so small that I had to first eat the waffle cone so I could get to the ice cream. This happened twice in a row. We thought that perhaps the first time was an accident but the second time we realized that the owner is doing it knowingly. She had an other girl working with her in the store and when that girl came to serve us she told her to go away and that she herself will serve us. Also not very friendly... too bad...after all people come to help support local business. I won’t be supporting that establishment.

One of my favourite cafes. The patio is a wonderful spot in the summer to lock your bike and head in for ice cream and a variety of drinks, nibbles and food. Or get something to go and walk down by the Pier. The choice is yours :)

I went here with my partner a couple of years ago. Their coffee is average same with the food, but homemade feel to it. The place is cozy and they can be busy. Nice people works here. Not 5 stars because I am a coffee person, and I feel like this is just an average coffee shop. They should make their own signature drinks. People would love that.

The atmosphere and location are excellent, and the food isn’t so bad either. Coffee is good; their regular coffee is ok, espresso/Americano definitely holds up to other nearby cafes. Management is petty and uncooperative based on their reaction to my last review, hence 3 stars instead of 4.

This coffee shop is super cute on the inside, and is in a great location to get a coffee or an ice cream before or after you go to the lake. I didn't love their coffee, and the iced chai I had was basically all foam for $5, so I wouldn't specifically come here for their drinks.

I usually rate a cafe by their espresso. I was there once and the espresso was avarage. Probabley under extracted. Staff was just ok, Nothing especial. Tried the espresso once again. Same thing ...the girl behind the counter didnt even asked if i want it short or lungo...she just gave me a lungo espresso. I am not sure if i want to go back again, but if do it would be because of their descent atmosphere and this time i am not gonna get an espresso.

We ordered some kind of latte and two cappuccinos, and she made by "automatic machine" that was not what we expected, since for previous customer, she made espresso and frothed milk by "manual machine." They weren't tasty at all. Updatad after reply: Thank you for your inconsiderate reply! My 1st problem was about customer discrimination, not just machine. Then, why should I pay 2x of SBUX or 3x of TH plus tips for the same service in the pandemic?! However, my idea is to support local businesses which deserve it.

Hmm... it's okay. Unless you're a coffee drinker, then there's not much there for you but a big smile and good service from the owners. We thought they'd have a nice breakfast on a Sunday morning, but it was "okay" - nothing we couldn't have cooked better ourselves. But the coffee is supposed to be quite good? Thus the name, I suppose. MY ADVICE: Have a better selection for breakfast from the local bakeries, and some local home-made jams, juices from Bodhi Bar and artwork from the Art Gallery... and make it a cozy hot place to visit on a weekend! :)

Sue and her team are great. We ate there three days in a row on a recent trip from New York City. Her sandwiches are to die for and Starbucks, fuggettaboutit!!! It you are in downtown Burlington and are about to start or finish a walk on the great lakeside pathway -- which is seriously long -- this is the place to stop to reenergize yourself.

Nice and cozy coffee shop in downtown Burlington. Went there for some breakfast before heading to Hamilton. Ordered a medium chai latte and an avocado and chicken panini. Chai latte was good and the panini was tasty, however it was too small portion. Overall, nice coffee shop to grab a quick bite.

First time visiter, I got a scone, Italian classic sandwich and honey lavender latte. Everything was SO good that I said "OMG" when I tried each item. Coffee was great, the scone was probably the best I've had. And deli sandwich is mouthwatering, gonna be something I crave from now on! Bonus cause they have soy milk.

I am so pleased to have found this place. The coffee/cappuccinos and sandwiches are great (I had a smoked salmon sandwich with all the fixings), and the owner is ever-present and very nice. The work area is separated from the main serving area by a small number of stairs, which lends it just the right amount of quietness to get work done. Great place.

Spent a relaxing couple of hours here over the August 2017 long weekend. They offer delicious desserts & snacks, ice cream, sandwiches and good coffee in a cosy setting. Portions are a little on the small side for the price, but I would still recommend Lakeshore Coffee House.

The coffee here is okay, it's not as good as Tamp but their espresso milkshakes are great and one of my favorite ways to cooldown on a hot summer day. The location of this coffee shop is great and they have a fair bit of seating with some tables if you wanted to do work. Overall I would say it is better than Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Williams, etc but worse than Tamp. I would recommend the espresso milkshake :)

Lakeshore Coffee House was the location I selected to meet my date for the very first time on April 8, 2018. In my opinion the atmosphere is a perfect date location. I ordered a coffee and a bagel and it later dawned on me that we actually met on an app called Coffee Meets Bagel (Thought it was pretty funny). Anyways, we had a great time and I highly recommend stopping in for a coffee. Side note; its been almost 6 months and totally in love with her.

I used to come here often for the turkey blt sandwich and the coffee but not sure if the owner had changed as they now do “hot sandwiches” which sounded nice but to my disappointment, the hot sandwich came in a burger bun with cheap orange cheddar cheese and super salty turkey ham. It was nothing like what I had before at this establishment. It felt very cheap and underwhelming I had to throw it away after one bite…The coffee was alright but it came 3/4 full and I ordered a latte not a cappuccino... Wish they filled it all the way up. So ya we are assuming it’s a new owner or something. Just disappointed. The patio is very nice so it’s a great spot to just sit and have a coffee but keep your expectations low for the sandwich. Update: The owner response is very hostile and unprofessional when I mentioned burger buns but mam...they were 100% burger buns. I wish I had taken a photo to prove it to you lol. It was Sprinkled with sesame and was NOT bagel. It reminded me of hot lunch in middle school thrown in a paper bag when we said we were eating in patio. That was the quality and that is an undeniable FACT. I am not making up stories why would I do that? This used to be one of my fav spot but clearly its taken over by completely different ppl. :( sad.

This is my third set of ownership attending Lakeshore Coffee House. Having met Debbie and Vlanos, I can honestly say that the "neighbourhood coffee shop" vibe is alive and well! They have added their own touches to the venue, but it retains its charm. The latte was up to par.... But the home made tiramisu... Come here for this and you will be as hooked as I am now. I can't wait to try other items now, but I am full. Another visit is forthcoming soon!

Came here to get a nice latte before going to the lake and the latte was disappointing and tasted bitter. Paid $6.70 for a below average latte. Lady working was not welcoming or friendly. Not recommended. Not kid friendly. Coffee tasted horrible too. Bought 3 coffees from here and just got ice cream next door. Sitting on patio, owner went out of her way to say she doesn't appreciate outside ice cream for the children. It was completely empty, no crowd. Lots of open spots in the patio. Won't ever go back and don't suggest anyone else go here either. UPDATE after owner reply: We bought coffees from this place and just had kids have some ice cream from next door. Completely irrational response and as much as I like to support local businesses this one is destined to fail with an arrogant owner who does not care for its own patrons.

My boyfriend and I went in last week and got a coffee, cappuccino, sesame bagel with cream cheese and sesame bagel BLT and OH MY GOODNESS. Both of us thought the bagels were to die for and the BLT on it was literally the best thing I ever had. And the coffee and cappuccino were so delicious. They brought the food out to us on the patio as we had a new puppy and had to wait outside. The girls were so sweet! SO SO GOOD and a must have in Downtown Burlington! :)

Coming from a small town, I often find it difficult to feel truly comfortable in the upscale cafes you generally see around these parts. Lakeshore though... Lakeshore feels like those small town coffee shops that you see in movies. The staff are all incredibly kind, they gush about their drinks and meals as they all truly love what they serve. The drinks are delicious and the upstairs seating is so cozy. Its a taste of community that I'm happy to have tried for myself and I would recommend to anyone.

Had the ice cream here, it's cheap and they give you alot of scoops. I don't understand how "one scoop" is really two and a half scoops and "two scoops" is double that, but hey who's complaining right?

I had a perfect Iced Cap at the Lakeshore Coffee House in Burlington and am glad I discovered this place :) V friendly staff, great coffee and great ambience too! I will give them 10/10. It is hard to please a foodie like me :D I will be returning here to try some more stuff!

Not respectful of rights related to mask exemption at all- I entered when the store was empty and was refused service by the manager Gwyneth after I told her I was exempt. She stated store policy which does not supersede the by-laws and constitutional law. Very disappointed that such discrimination is supported by this small business. Her coworker rudely mumbling something to me under her breath which she would not repeat was also very unprofessional- I will be spreading the word and filling a Human rights complaint.

The staff are all very welcoming and the atmosphere in the place cheerful. I frequented this coffee house during December mornings to sit down and read while enjoying some of the best coffee in Burlington. On top of that, the food was really good and I often went back for lunch.

Liquids are OK but tastes off (mimic Starbucks blends) and $$$$$. Sandwiches are bland and super $$$$$. Need to rob a bank to eat here. Dogs everywhere on the patio shared with shawarma neighbor and rarely cleaned.

Tried mango icecream here and i loved it, but when i went for second time they gave me something else. I asked i had different last time. She said that was different and we don’t have it today! They gave me gelato which i really don’t like.
