After moving to Burlington from Toronto, I had a hard time finding a coffee shop I could work from while enjoying quality coffee. Due to the nature of my job, I spend a significant amount of time working remotely thus coffee shops are my go to. Coming from Toronto where there are multiple shops on every block, I found it difficult to find a location where I could work from for a few hours without needing a change of scenery or feeling pressured to buy something every few hours. I also wanted to avoid the hassle trying to find parking downtown. Then I found Humble Bean. I can't say enough about this place. Yes, the coffee is great and yes they also have other treats such as tarts, ice cream, juices, etc. Yes they're affordable and don't break the bank. Yes they have (strong) free wifi you can connect to. Yes they have a large (free) parking lot. But more important than all of that is the staff. From the owners who go out of their way to greet every guest that walks by, to the baristas who are always polite and professional -- the reason I keep coming is because of the Humble Bean team and their ability to make you feel welcome and valued the second you enter their premises. If your looking for a great coffee shop that's away from the busyness of downtown Burlington and doesn't have a cup size called Venti that has your name spelled incorrectly, Humble Bean is your spot!

Best hidden gem coffee place in Burlington. Super friendly owner who is apparently earning an unofficial Masters in tea and coffee and has great butter tarts available plus a whole lot more in a spacious setting where you can work or sit quietly as your kids do dance and tutoring and other things.

1 sip of my new favourite "cortado" and it kissed my soul and called me FRANCO! The owners are fantastico. Extremely knowledgable about their machines and coffees. I was dying (understatdment of the century) for a good coffee and I found my new place. Stop reading and just go here for your coffee, loser!

Located inside the Activity Plex you will find this cute café. The couple that runs it is very nice and super friendly! Grab a coffee and sit in the lounge while you wait! Try the iced brownie its amazing!

This is such a great addition to the Activity Plex. I'm not a coffee drinker so I'm glad there are lots of other drink options. The smoothies are fantastic! My kids think the cookies are the best they've ever had.

I’m a coffee lover and I love exploring new local cafes. While searching for a new cafe, I found this gem in my google search and wanted to give it a try due to its excellent review. So I went all the way from Milton to Burlington to give it a try! It was totally worth the drive!! I was plain amazed by the variety of beverages and desserts. What impressed me more was the owner Dan’s expertise in the subject. He is a coffee connoisseur and patiently explained the various coffee and tea varieties and helped me fine tune my choice. The dirty chai latte was a pleasant surprise and I loved the quirky taste. This place is a must visit for coffee lovers!! Big thumbs up to Dan :) keep up the great work!!

The cafe is inside a fitness center. The cafe has a wide selection of great food and beverages. I found the chairs a bit awkward. If I were in the area I would go again. Server was friendly.

Gotta love the smell of fresh ground coffee! I had a huge chocolate chip cookie that didn’t crumble onto my pants in the car—love that! My espresso macchiato was topped with a secret house blend that was very unique. Just a quick pit stop off the QEW & Walker’s line.

Just had one of THE best capuccinos I've ever had. And I've had some really good & excellent ones in Toronto. The owner is so friendly & very knowledgeable about coffee. I highly recommend them.

This is the best place for coffee, treats and service in Burlington! If you like gourmet coffee, this is the place!!! So, so, so good. The coffees (all types, reg, lattes, americanos, etc) are so fresh and rich in flavour. Snacks are healthy and selected with care. Kids get a cookie treat after Dance every week (yikes!) I sometimes go out of my way just to get a coffee from there. Staff is friendly and always a pleasure to interact with. You won't regret stopping by to get a coffee there, even if you're not part of any complex activities. Love it!

Great coffee, delicious and healthy snack options like fresh smoothies, energy balls, etc. Nice staff! Definitely try walking into the complex; The way it’s set up, it’s right at the door and is a nice atmosphere for a coffee shop - great seating. I will continue to drop in, and just visit the coffee shop.

This place is a gem of a find! After my sister raved about this store, we came with our kids to check out their unicorn ice cream (which was a big hit). There is lots of parking right outside the coffee shop making it a quick in and out trip for commuters. It also has a huge lounge area with free wifi for those looking for an awesome work space. The coffee is amazing as are the energy balls. The service is outstanding too. This place is a must try if you are in the area. You will be back again and again.

I love to drop in and visit the Bean on my way back from work, to get a delicious cup of tea and a yummy afternoon treat…..my favourite is the sugar cookies with a strawberry tea. YUM! Such a warm and friendly atmosphere, and a great place to sit and rewind after a busy day. And bonus…..easy parking, in and out, and there is not another specialty coffee shop nearby offering such great service. :)
