Went to meet a friend for coffee and good conversation. This is a busy location but has plenty of comfortable seating. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the coffee is always tastey there. The strong smell of burnt toast came wafting over, but I wasn't having a stroke at the time. Later there was that unmistakable scent of fried cheese (mmmmm, fried cheese). Overall a nice place.

Burlington lakeshore is an excellent place for visitors so if you're in the area, go & visit this place.

What a cute little spot! If you’re in the Burlington waterfront area, and you want a great coffee or tea, and some yummy eats, this is the spot to go to. There’s plenty of seating, booths and tables, and a patio. Food was very good, the Americano was smooth and the spinach and feta pastry was soooo good. Definitely I would go back.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff! Unfortunately they do not carry almond milk, and am not sure if they have any milk substitutes. The smoothies are very good, they too are made with milk. This is a great place, although do not have too much option for people who don’t like milk.

This location will put everything you order in to-go cups and plastic containers even when you dine in. My friend and I had to insist on our drinks being in a mug ! 20 minutes later we were asked if we were done yet because they “needed the mug back”.(They weren’t closing for another hour) It’s just sad to look around and see every person drinking from a to-go cup when a mug would have been more enjoyable and create a lot less waste :(

Have been coming here off and on over 12months, often on a Sunday morning. A double espresso and Asiago breakfast bagel go well with a book or a read of emails. I love Timmies but this place is a lot more comfy and very relaxed. Great downtown Burlington location. Will miss it when I return to Australia.

I love the Tea is good, but the food is a hit or miss depending on who makes it. I once got a chick wrap and there was no chicken just heavy sauce and lettuce. They seriously need to get better training or better management. It's seriously lacking.

Such a cozy and relaxing coffee shop that's great to go to work or chat with some friends. The food is great, especially all their baked goods, and most importantly the welcoming charming staff. I've seen some complaints in other reviews about them being understaffed, but so many more about how wonderful the employees there are. Definitely pick this place over a starbucks any day!

The space itself is decent. The staff are sometimes friendly, sometimes aloof to the point of being rude. But what matters is the COFFEE. And it stinks. First off, know that if you're ordering anything espresso-related (ie. an Americano), it's coming out of a one-button-machine. There is no skill or finesse that goes into your beverage; they push a button and something resembling coffee comes out. I've tried a number of their espresso-based beverages and they all have one thing in common - they're horrid. Frankly even just their regular coffee is pretty bad too. Just 2 weeks ago I went in and ordered a "dark roast" which I couldn't even finish. It was so mediocre, lacking in flavour. And of course there's that little trick they have where you don't have access to the milk, so you have to rely on them to put in the right amount which can vary from beverage to beverage (and from day to day depending on whim). Meh, Second Cup is right around the corner and so much better. Give this a pass.

LARGE selection of food, beverages, pastries and even an ice cream section! A tad pricey but on point with Starbucks. Very high quality food and drinks, and cozy place. Would probably choose over Starbucks. My only complaint is that its always busy and sometimes finding a table can be difficult, but i guess thats because its right in the core of downtown!

$8 for 2 simple espresso based drinks. 3 staff hanging out at the counter. Not a single fresh cup of espresse was brewed that not-very-busy Sat morning... Just don't order any drinks (Espresso, Americano, etc.) that aren't sweetened/flavored because you will chuck it after the first sip. Unfortunately this has happened more than once. Bad attitude from the staff seems to be a trend as well... But especially in post lockdown Ontario, what do you expect? A positive customer service interaction? How dare you bother the teenage staff with your selfish, uncool, requests? Great location and patio plus good looking pastries at the counter which I have never tried before.

The place is comfortable and inviting. Offering you wifi, comfy seating with a fireplace, with lot of seating options. The food, the snacks as well as the desserts, all well made. The drinks are hot and brought to your table immediately after you’ve placed the order. The staff is friendly, and fast. They offer two for one on all their baked items after a certain time, which is a treat for someone on a budget. This is a place to definitely meet their friends for a coffee, first time meet in a public place, or just doing school work, this place is it.

Busy day here today due to the Santa 5K run, but that shouldn't excuse shoddy service. Miserable teenager with no people skills. Ordered a macchiato, which, if you know anything about coffee, should be a double espresso with a tiny amount of foamed milk. What I got was a luke-warm latte/cappuccino cross. Vile coffee (They don't have an espresso machine, it comes from an automated machine) The only thing stopping me taking it back was the line up. Shame, as I prefer to support independent coffee shops rather than Starbucks or Second Cup, but if I'd known.......

Busy dessert and coffee cafe. Decent dessert selection but it's a chain and has those sorts of desserts. Nice leather chairs and marble top tables, but tables are crowded and gives a cozy feel so don't come in here with a wheelchair. Line up went quickly and efficiently. Open later than the other dessert and coffee places around.

The Americano’s are very bland. There is great seating and maybe some of the other none coffee based drinks are okay. If you are not picky about how your coffee tastes and you would like a nice place to sit and people watch, then why not give this place a try. Otherwise, there are plenty of other coffee shops that are far superior.

Most of the time I order from skip the dishes. The food is very good. It is not cheap but the strawberry and pecan salad I ordered feed 10 at $4 a serving and there was a ton of strawberries and pecans and everyone was happy. The actual location impress me less. The layout seems somewhat poorly designed to order. I have no idea why they don't just do what Starbucks does and leave the milk and cream out. The seating was comfortable and cozy. The croissant was fresh and still tender. I would order from them again.

Where do I begin…. I have been coming here for sometime now and usually dealt with rude staff but normally they would just leave me alone. Unfortunately, this changed when not only was I given horrible attitude for zero reason. I was asked to leave after being in my seat for 45 minutes! Is this how you treat paying customers?!? I was in the middle of a job interview when was approached and asked to leave I tried to tell them that I needed a few more minutes but was forced to leave at that moment! Honestly just shocked that paying customers are treated this way

I've tried coffee culture in other areas so it might just be this location but the drip coffee was absolutely terrible ! Watered down... It tasted like milk with flavored water even when I asked the server to pour out some and add a bit more coffee. It's upsetting to spend money on something I wouldn't even call it coffee. I will definitely not be coming back .

The setting is quaint. The prices are fine. But boy does the service need some serious improvement. The woman taking the orders did not hear a request to have reduced dressing even though it was mentioned three time. So my table mates lunch was wrong. My turkey sandwich had no turkey in it. When I went to ask where it was, they put two slivers of cold turkey on my supposed to be warm sandwich. The gentleman next to us got his order incorrectly served also. The star is for the iced tea only. I will not go back.

I often come here. The food is good and priced fairly. I love their coffee which is important to me when choosing a place. They have a nice outdoor area to sit. The location is great being a block away from the lake and Spencer Smith Park.

Food is alright, but not worth the price. The point of higher prices for a place like this is so you can expect higher quality experience. Unfortunately, come in anytime after 7pm and the service is just terrible. -The workers are inattentive, and annoyingly do not seem to really pay attention to you as a CUSTOMER. You're talking to them, and they're thinking about something else. Does not make you feel very welcomed. Moreover, they even have the luxury to have a conversation with each other while you're waiting there to pay. -Came in once at 9pm and you can tell the staff is already pre-closing even though they're open til 11. They don't even give you real plates or utensils, but instead serves food in styrofoam and plastic cups. Again, this isn't such a big deal at any other place, but if you're charging me almost $10 for a drink and cake, I'm expecting ambiance and quality. Pls serve things on real plates. Even more, as we were still sitting and talking, a worker comes to mop the floors and is cleaning as if we're not even there--He gets so close to us, he almost hits our feet with the mop. -Ordered a cake, and not only was it the wrong one, but it was really cold and stiff, as if they just defrosted it in the last hour, or it was meant to be served tomorrow. Again, taken together, these things should not bother me so much, but as someone who's been a customer at this location for almost 6 years, I just hate how much this place has changed with new management. I'm bothered because I know this place used to be great. The past year and a bit of me coming has made me want to come less and less. I've been giving this place a chance, and holding off a writing a review, but this is getting ridiculous. Management needs to raise their expectations. Train your staff to be customer-oriented.

I like this location for coffee culture but the washrooms have been very dirty lately. There are two washrooms in here. Only one is open for customers but the other one is still being used by employees. The ones used by customers is very dirty. Please investigate. Even on a hot summer day no air conditioning. Keep the doors open. There are flies inside the restaurant. I am a regular customer and I come here almost every day. But the cleaning is not up-to the mark. I might stop coming if this does not change. Expecting to hear from you soon

No complaints about the drinks or service. My husband and I go there almost every day. Lately, the management has posted a notice saying there is a 60 min limit at the tables inside. I don't have a problem with that except I don't believe it is being enforced. 6 of the 9 seating areas were taken up by students with laptops and paperwork spread all over and they weren't going anywhere! We were there for 50 min and all of them were there before we got there. I see this every time. This is not a library, it's a restaurant! Perhaps if they put a sign on each table re the time limit, that might help but they need to enforce it!

Right across the street is Kelly's Bake Shoppe, and it's organic, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free... I can't support Coffee Culture and purchase their baked goods. I'll buy their coffee but that's it.

We like the coffee here but are tired of coming into restaurants where the proprietors consider cleanliness and tidiness as the least of their priorities! The washroom was filthy and had broken equipment. The patio was equally as dirty. Respect for your business transcends all areas involved in operating it.

Coffee Culture is a really nice little coffee shop. Great location downtown Burlington close to the lake shore. Grab a beverage and walk along the lake front. The interior has a nice ambiance and there is also outside seating available. Good friendly service. The food is also fairly good light fair...
