We had a reservation for 6 adults (one is 100 years old and the other is 96) and 2 toddlers. We had not seen my grandparents in months and wanted to all be together since the limit changed to allow more then 4 at a table. We were automatically sent outside at 2 different tables away from each other. When we requested a table all together it was as if that was troublesome for them. We did end up getting a table inside, had multiple waiters that were rude. My mom and I were eating off napkins for our appetizers because they only brought out 4 plates (if we had waited around our food would have been cold so we just improvised). The food wasn’t anything special, to even get napkins and a spoon for my daughter so she could actually eat was troublesome to the point we had to track people down to get the simplest things. If I could rate is 0 stars I would.

When we arrived right when they opened, we were warned they only had 1 chef, no big deal. We were the second table in the whole place and we waited over 1 hour after placing our order and we had them box it up Togo and bring the bills. Many other tables who came later got burgers when we hadn’t even receive our salads. I drive home with my GF pizza to see that it’s burnt and it’s missing toppings? Like the “sour cream drizzle”… where’s that? Not impressed at all! I understand being understaffed in the kitchen but you need to maintain good service and that was not at all good.

Service was abysmal, I have never waited so long to place an order in my life. Food was okay but not worth the hour wait it took to get here or the price. It would be one thing if the restaurant was busy but it was not.... there was also a table who was given priority even though they arrived after us and another table. The server would go to them multiple times and not even look in our direction when we were right beside them before eventually coming to us. Overall bad experience

The food was not very good.. it looked good but lacked flavor. I had the habanero burger it was very hot but hot is not a flavor. I asked for mayo to add some flavor and they wanted to charge me a dollar.. The view is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars. the glass railings were filthy and filled with dead bugs. I would not recommend this place unless its to have a drink.

Decent latte, ice cream and nice patio over looking the boats. Clean bathroom for customers. Lots of seating. Some baked treats - muffins, croissant, cookies. We only stopped for a short visit so it was fine for what it was. Restaurant is wheel chair and stroller accessible. There’s a ramp on the side and also accessible through the main elevator.

I got the buffalo chicken wrap but didn’t have any buffalo sauce on it but was still Ok, my wife got the French onion dip sandwich she really liked it, I also got the potato bacon soup I was good. But there was only one server waiting on 8 tables at one time so we did get our food in a timely manner but never saw our server again till we finished eating and was waiting for the bill, what sucked because I would have loved to get some Buffalo sauce and some pepper for my soup. I personally wouldn’t go back.

Great setting with lovely marina/river views. Okay food from a very limited menu. Fish was great; burger was okay; fries were lukewarm and soggy. Missed out on a balcony table before, so made a reservation well in advance. The day of, we were crammed in between two other tables despite the reservation -- the having-to-inch-your-chair-out-and-in-slowly kind of cramming, apparently because another party had arrived with six extra people. Service was friendly. Waited 20 minutes after finishing eating for plate clearing and the bill. So... meh.

Had a the best fish and chips ever in my life. And believe me I ate fish and chips all over the country. Grest service beautiful place inside and price very reasonable. I recommend if you stop in Brockville go to Moose McGuire's for bite you wont be disapointed.

The place is spacious and the decor is beautiful. They really did a good job on designing the inside. Prices are pretty good for the location. Overall service was extremely slow. From the time we arrived And the time we left was about an hour and 40 mins. My friends who got burgers really enjoyed it. The soup was horrible couldn’t even be finished. The receipts had the wrong info which needed to be adjusted at pay. Overall I didn’t really enjoyed this place. I hope they can be able to improve on these deficiencies.

Terrible experience. Sat freezing on the lower patio because even if you have a reservation apparently there's no way to get seated where it's warm and sheltered on the deck. After complaining and getting moved closer to the building where it was warmer food was cold. Waited for the waitress who seemed to have forgotten us for the bill and takeaway box. Froze again and I was dressed warmly. They need to change their reservation system so the lower patios are walk-in and upper is reservations only. On top of everything they are still serving water with plastic straws!!!!??

Don't go here. Seriously, don't. The food here is inedible. Seriously. The fries feel like they've been cooked, frozen, cooked again, frozen, and cooked and then served. Fish cakes were clearly not "freshly made" because they were still ice cold in the center. They will just straight up lie to you about what they have, and either tell you 30 minutes into your 1 hour+ wait or just not bring it to you at all. Oh yeah, and that 1 hour+ wait for our food was when, "the kitchen is quiet right now", who knows how long it would have taken if there were more than 3 tables at the restaurant. Seriously, whatever good you're seeing in these reviews, let me tell you, it's not worth it. Skip. Skip. Skip.

I would like to give 0 if possible, it’s been 1 hour and still waiting for food not to forget I ordered sandwiches, if you guys can’t make sandwiches in an hour, it’s time to close down. Stop wasting vacation hours of people. (Continued) after 1 hour and 20 mins had to walk out as food was not yet ready, when I asked the waitress about delay, she was not apologetic but had audacity to say an hour is normal and I shouldn’t create fuss about it, if I am not ok, I can walk out. This was the first restaurant in my life who were ok if customer walks out without having food. Guys I can sponsor ????.

It is what it is and it is better by the water. Don’t come here for fine dining. Come for the relaxed atmosphere, friendly waitstaff and nice view of the water. This is probably a great place to watch the game or sit alone at the bar drowning your sorrows in pitchers of your least objectionable national brand beer and generic but acceptable chicken wings. Why not go here? I don’t know. Make up your own mind, you don’t know me. Why would you take my advice? You might love this place, you might hate it. Who knows? What do you have to lose?… besides maybe fifty bucks and a couple of hours. It’s better than sitting at home, alone, watching cooking shows and the bachelor regretting your life choices.

Food was good BUT the ambivalent waitress we got should not work as a waitress. She was mostly absent and the very rare times at our table not that pleasant. We had every other server but her. The only interaction was "her" tantrum for the non-tip proportional to the non-service.

The best part about this restaurant is the view. I recently stopped by for a business lunch. The food was not great. The service was also not great.. I was very disappointed with this place. Expected better. Will not be having anymore business lunches there and would not recommend to others.

The service was slow. We waited about an hour for the food and it wasn’t warm/hot when we got it. The food was okay but nothing to rave about. The staff was unwelcoming as they were busy but the place was not even packed. They should maybe put more staff on a Saturday night to keep up with the demand.

Only reason I give one start because we order 2lb the honey garlic chicken wings to take home after the supper, but the waitress accidently bring hot,we let her know about the mistake she told us she going to change it out. When I got home and give it to my kids the chicken wings still was hot ,so what there did change the boxes but put in the same chicken wing in it . That why I gave one star because there dishonesty.

I would like to say for a new resturant in town I'd wanna give them some credit for trying, but my first time there the wings were under cooked, and we waited over an hour for them. Servers were not friendly and our server to be exact was not acknowledging our table at all. Wings were not sauced at all. I've worked in many restaurants before to know that wing in particular do NOT take over an hour and from the amount of business it had that night which was not much especially being a "wing night" and the amount of staff they had on which was more than enough, it was a horrible experience and I will NOT go again. They had their chance and the blew it.

Very disappointed !! We were 4 adults and 2 children on Saturday night at 6pm. We ordered pasta off the kids menu, 2 Greek salads, fish and chips and a beef dip. The kids pasta arrived timeously however was very spicy ( I guess some kids might like spicy foods ) the rest of the mains 40 minutes later. The Greek salads were mostly lettuce with no tomatoes and very little feta cheese. The chips from the fish meal was cold and the fish itself slightly warm, a clear indication that it had been standing some time before coming to the table. Sadly the beef dip too was very disappointing. Our beer shandy being the only saving grace. At no time did our server come to enquire about the meal, I guess she already knew.

Our experience did not start well. First they tried to sit us down at 2 separate tables not facing each other, even though the restaurant was not busy and we made a reservation. Our waitress was not helpful at all. Took 10min to get her attention for some water. Food was sloppy, over cooked, and not tasty. Overall horrible experience. Never going back

Frites chaudes et croustillantes. Le souvlaki était sec. Le service était lent, 45 minutes pour avoir nos plats. Si la serveuse était venue nous dire, on a un manque de personnel ou expliqué la raison... mais rien, elle n'est pas venue à notre table souvent. Mais je reviendrais pour le fish and chip sans hésiter.

Moose Mcguire's is our "go to" place in Brockville Great service and food. It doesn't take long until you are greeted by your first name. Definitely an asset to the Brockville area. AND did i mention the view? Awesome view of the St. Lawrence River. The restaurant is located in the Tall Ships building, beside the Aquatarium.

This review is for the pre-meal service I received. My children were going to have dinner with friends and my husband and I wanted to pay for their meal. I called, spoke to Erin, who assured me she would give the message to their server that evening. When I spoke to my daughter later, no message had been given them that the meal was paid for. I called and spoke to Maxwell, and she said they were "slammed" and somehow the message didn't get through. According to my children, they weren't slammed, in fact there were only 4 tables with customers. Small attention to detail is what makes a business thrive and I would recommend, when the offer of a meal completely paid is on the table, to take advantage of that. I'm sure they would have spent more money had they known it was already covered. You missed out on several fronts Moose McGuire's.

Terrible. If in one word. Nice view on Patio. But food... waited about 30 minutes. Fish undercooked and tasteless. Fry’s seams done in very old oil and stayed there from yesterday. I did not know that it’s possible to messed up burger like that. Just a view and water is not that bad... Did not have many expectations after reading reviews but still disappointed.

Service wasn't the greatest but the food was horrible. We waited for over an hour for 2 burgers. Both not edible. I asked for a chicken breast burger (as shown on their menu) and the server said it was old chicken from the morning time that they would reheat to put on the bun. I should have left then. I decided to order a beef burger instead. It was so dry I couldn't even eat it. My husband's vegetarian burger was completely mush like baby food. Food was so cold. How can someone wait over an hour and get cold food? Drinks weren't mixed properly. We ordered a Ceasar and it tasted like pure vodka. Disgusting we will not return.

Service super slow and our Male server was not welcoming. We waited 15 minutes to place our drink order, it finally came in13 minutes later...asked for water and it never came had to go to the bar and ask an other server to bring. We wanted to eat there and decided not to as the service was so bad. Our server finally asked after 45 minutes if we like to order and we said no just cheque. This is my first post and sorry it's negative, but I want to make sure people hear about their service. The worst service I ever received. Let's start with hostess, when we arrived, we asked to sit on the outside patio. She informed us that it would be an hour wait, which we were fine with. She then brought us in and sat us down at a inside table. When the waitress came up to us, I said we were waiting to sit outside just want to order a drink first. She said that once you're inside you can't move. I then spoke to I guess a manager, and she informed me that we had to wait in the lobby till table opened up. I said Well not my fault the hostess sat us here. She then proceeded to tell me no once you're inside that's it that's your table. All at the same time, the waitresses seemed to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off not remembering where the plates would go. We finally came to an understanding that we could order "drinks" then move to a patio table. However, the waitress insisted that we ordered our food first then move. Enough is enough, we got up left and never looked back. Never will I even think of returning to that restaurant ever again. Also, I would tell whoever asks me what I thought and would tell them NO WAY go to the Waterfront restaurant on Blockhouse Island much better service. And I understand it could have been a bad day for them, but I shouldn't be affected.
