One of my favourite coffee roasters! I just tried ordering online from them for the first time, and I was incredibly impressed by their service! Not only was it free shipping to the lower mainland, but it arrived at my door the day after I ordered it. I was not expecting delivery that quickly, amazing!! A+
My family and I took a quick trip to Fort Langley in the morning and of course we had to stop for a morning coffee. We stumbled upon this place located at the back of Gasoline Alley and had to try out the coffee. We just had their medium roast and it was amazing! Customer service was also great! Lastly, the seating area outside was a really nice touch. Whenever, I'm in the area, I'll definitely be coming back!
I am a month late to post my review. A few days before Valentine's Day it occurred to me to get some coffee beans for my coffee loving husband. I found out about Republica from a local food group and messaged them to see how long it would take to have the beans delivered. They replied within hours and I placed my order that afternoon. They assured me I would receive the coffee before Valentine's Day which at that point was about 4 days away. I received the coffee beans just about 30 hours after I placed my order! I was so shocked! They smelled so good and were freshly roasted earlier that day. I ordered The Lion's Den and Bendtsen Mocha Java. Hubby hasn't tried the mocha yet but he loves The Lion's Den. He says it is the best coffee he has had so far. Thank you for the exceptional customer service and for the fantastic coffee beans. Father's Day is coming up and I think I will be replenishing his stash of coffee beans.
The place looks great, good selection of coffee paraphernalia to check out. I really wanted to like the coffee, and I'm pretty easy to please, but yikes was their Cloverdale blend unfortunate. I couldn't even say it was ok. Maybe a bad batch?
Great coffee, super cheap beans, and probably some of the best grinds and roasts I've had. Would highly recommend over some of the other coffee shops in the area.
Great coffee, and not much else. Good seating area too, outdoor picnic tables in a cute alley.
I have been here a few times and always had a cookie or a sweet item. Homemade cookies, lovely coffee and mochas were consistently good. This time I tried the mushroom and onion soup. It took a couple of minutes to warm up (not sitting all day keeping warm and getting yucky). The soup was served hot accompanied with warm focaccia bread. Very tasty! Today I followed my soup with an Americano and the chocolate chip banana muffin. In all a great lunch. The wifi was strong enough to watch Netflix (since I was alone) and the atmosphere is very friendly. I’ll come again ????
Absolutely amazing. We loved our experience. The baristas were so helpful, lovely, professional and knowledgeable. I ended up getting an Aztec Mocha as recommended, and was immediately taken with the flood of exotic warmth of caffinated bliss. We will be back, again, and again, and again. Thanks to the great staff, those two girls really made our first experience the best one.
This is always a destination for me after walking the precious mutt. I pick up a delicious almond latte...and two fresh roasted bags of coffee. There is a good variety of one's different styles of roasting. The staff is lovely and has a lot of information on the coffee and tea. They follow all Covid protocols and there is plenty of room outside on the very attractive picnic table area to keep you distance and thoroughly relax and enjoy your beverage.
Hands down one of my favorite coffee stops! Staff are always friendly, their drink selection is phenomenal, and I always pop in every 2 weeks for a fresh bag of beans (usually roasted that same day)! Excellent quality and haven't found a better one!
Bought a bag of coffee for my family to try. I was excited to share it with them, but it wasn't good at all. The coffee is bland despite being a dark roast. I'm drinking a cup now, and it's only slightly more flavorful than a glass of water. After writing this I'm going to dump it and make a new batch of commercial coffee. Hopefully I was just stuck with a bad batch and no one else experiences the same thing. Very disappointed, won't be returning.
Nice and cozy place, friendly staffs. Tried the macchiato, it’s great.
great environment and friendly servers. they explained very well about their stuff. I love their “Perfect Storm”
Amazing beans, freshly roasted in house and tons of variety. We tried the Spanish latte when we went in to pick up beans which is made with sweetened condensed milk. WOW. Mind blowing. There is a cute patio seating area in the alley that I am sure we will frequent when the weather warms up. Super friendly staff too!
The best coffee in Fort Langley. Good service too. Check it out if you're in the area
Ive been getting coffee from here for a long time. Both in store and ordering bags online. I was surprised to see a "Covid 19-84 by George Orwell" magazine, detailing Covid as a hoax, placed in the center of the pick up area when I last went in.
The best coffee and muffins in Fort Langley! Great, friendly staff too ????
Great little coffee place.
I do love the taste of those coffee beans for my espresso machine and aeropress.
I have been there on 2018 and I’ve tasted the best espresso ever in my life !! Unique coffee shop I wish to get there again !!!
Always a delight to stop by here for a coffee! Their white chocolate mochas are divine!
Cute as a button coffee shop tucked away in an alley off Glover. I especially like the Spanish latte, half sweet. There’s ample seating outside with bright murals painted on the adjacent wall to the shop. Peanut butter Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was nice and chewy. I wish they opened earlier.
Delicious coffee and very friendly staff.
Véry good coffee! Friendly service and a lovely place just outside the coffee shop to enjoy my cuppa!
Love the atmosphere, love the coffee and can easily give this a five star for service. I really like the benches just outside the bistro, great music and btw thanks to the people who donated the tables! Thumbs Up all around!! ????????
Delicious coffee and great dairy-free alternative milk selection. The inside decor is cool and rustic. 4/5 due to the inconsistency between a Soy and Almond latte (which the milk was slightly overdone)
Consistent and regular with my favorite roast. And nice and fresh
good coffee, cute shop, employees so so
Best coffee around, hands down. And free local delivery!
Enjoyed our first visit to Republica Coffee Roasters. The Baristas were so friendly and patient. They took a lot of care in adhering to covid safety protocols. Delicious coffee, and nice, quiet outdoor seating area. We will be back soon!
I have only visited their Langley location which is quite cozy and would be nice on a cold winters day; during the summer there are a few picnic tables outside to bask in the sun. The reason they get 5 stars is for their cold brew coffee. I have tried a few different cold brew coffee over the years, including the recently released Kicking Horse cold brews, but nothing compares to the product by Republica. Their cold brew is the smoothest available with no bitter taste at all. I am a big fun of black coffee so I tested this stuff on my Mother who hates black coffee and even she thought it was awesome. The product seems to be available in more niche bakeries now which is nice as you don't have to go to Fort Langley to buy it. The hot coffee and the wholesale beans are pretty good too.
Republican Coffee Roasters is a speciality coffee shop we found nestled away in downtown historic Fort Langley! The coffee was splendid and the little shop, hidden in a cute little alleyway, features a variety of roasted coffees, coffee supplies, mugs, and storage devices. The coffee bags lining the upper walls immerse you in the craft feeling while keeping you warm in its comfy atmosphere. Seating is sparse, with 6 chairs in doors, and all other seating being outside. But don't let this stop you from visiting if happen to be spending the day in Fort Langley! (Though the wife was NOT a fan of the bathroom) PS their swag is great and the staff is friendly and witty if you listen carefully! Always a plus!
Great coffee with quality roast beans!
Funky little coffee shop in Gasoline Alley Fort Langley. Great coffee, friendly staff!
Amazing coffee selection and friendly staff
The latte was out of the world and the outdoor seating area was spacious with great murals.
Very cute and welcoming, fantastic selections of drinks from hot to cold, coffee to lemonade. The maple roast I had was beautiful and probably the best thing iv had in years, the lavander lemonade was absolutely incredible. Hands down I'll be back!
Great coffee roasted on premises. Small cafe area to sit in if you don't want to take out.
The coffee here is awesome. But most of the the beans to take home are something else. Love it that we have such a talented local roster. They also have a nice selection of coffee brewers that are hard to come by. Like a Syphon or an airo press.
Cheap but high quantity
Busy spot but delicious Spanish latte. Beans are a good price. Cannot sit in but lots of space outside
Absolutely delicious coffee
Nice spot to have coffee, lots of Cyclists stop here
This is a sleek little back alley coffee shop. There's a public seating area right outside the shop where we sat and enjoyed our coffee cookies and sunshine. The shop has a wide variety selections of coffee. The staffs are friendly and my 3 year old even got a cookie that he enjoyed very much. Will definitely come back again.
Good cozy atmosphere place. Taste of coffee is outstanding. Keep up the great work.
Gasoline alley in Fort Langley, wonderful place to visit. Some of the old Victorian homes are so beautiful and very well kept.
I only buy republica coffee. I just got 6 pounds online delivered to Fort Langley. It was roasted YESTERDAY!! So fresh. They put a little roasted on date sticker on each bag. So many varieties available and it’s all premium. I bring it to work with me on the east coast to share and everyone loves it!
Medium roast coffee tasted like hot, tart brown water. Staff was nice though
Can recommend them highly enough. Fantastic coffee and superhuman delivery times. I ordered coffee one morning and it was on my doorstep by day's end in Coquitlam. I don't know how they do it. I highly recommend the Perfect Storm Dark and their Coffee Blend.
Medium roast cup of coffee was very good and no long line ups.
Great little coffee place tucked down an alley in the charming gem that is Fort Langley. We had delicious ice lattes and they had sugar free options for the syrup flavors which means a lot to us as we can't have the usual sugary ones (which they have too). The decor is warm and inviting and oh my, the beautiful aroma when you open the door and walk in! The staff are lovely.
I honestly found the iced drinks tastes pretty watery and with too much milk. Couldn't taste the espresso or chocolate (mocha). Had to order another double espresso to fix it.
Coffee smell very good.
Cozy place to chat with your friends interesting options for coffee
Cool little back alley coffee so. I don't want to pigeon hole them. But I only had tea there. The estitic was pleasing. My wife bought us tea so I can't comment on the service, but no complaimts from my wife. Love this town and anything such as a business that contributes to the feel is greatly appreciate.
Surprisingly good coffee. Most coffee shops taste pretty much the same nowadays, so this was nice change. Foam was rich and sweet, coffee was full bodied with no sour aftertaste. Cool location and charming space
Love Fort Langley...architecture and unique building are nice to see..!
Yummy coffee, friendly staff, cool spot.
Decided to order some fresh ground coffee from a local company and stumbled upon Republica. I ordered a bag last night - they personally delivered it to my door this morning. I'm honestly shocked; that's as incredible of a service as you could imagine. Clearly they care about their customers. The coffee speaks for itself. I ordered the Fort Langley Blend. They provide like 15 grinding options to meet your exact specifications - trust me, this is an underrated service; the coffee was perfect in my Keurig. It was the best cup of coffee I have ever had at home. Here's to making this quarantine a little brighter and more caffeine-filled. Will be a customer for life - can't see buying grocery store coffee ever again (probably takes longer to go the the store and buy the coffee than it does for them to drop it off). Thank you!
This is the one! I have been tried several other local roasters for a dark roast bean but they are either oily, bitter, burnt or sour tasting. I visited the Cloverdale location, and got a pound of The Perfect Storm. Its excellent. Robust and full of clean, smooth dark roast bean. I will be trying more of their roasts.
