This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Cafe.
Great coffee but slightly bitter to my taste. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich and it was delicious. The service can be a little more friendly.
Just okay
Love this trendy little coffee shop. Has really high end and cute items and lots of good food and snacks. I had their Americano and it was awesome. Super bold and rich! Will definitely come back.
Was really cool and nice. Good hot chocolate. I enjoyed that they had a table for 6 people and we could hang out and sit around before our meeting. Would go again.
Really great coffee
(Translated) Lovely cafe I'm once again in love with the really cute and cute design~ (Original) Lovely cafe 정말 아귀자귀하고 귀여운 디자인에 다시한번 반하게 되네요~
Great local coffee shop
(Translated) Good cut! (Original) Good cortado!
I’ve had a few of their drinks recently (chai latte and cappuccino) they do not taste good. I’d recommend sticking to their drip coffee..
Dropped in quickly on a saturday morning around 11am and grabbed two coffees, the coffee was really nice and the cafe itself has a very clean and modern feel to it. Would recommend and would likely visit again to try the food.
horrible service
A comfy coffee shop in a middle class neighbourhood.
Best cafe au lait I have been able to find so far in this city. They also stock phil + sebastien coffee which has fantastic beans/roasts.
Really friendly staff in a really nice space, selling food, great coffee and some nice household items for sale. The avocado toast is ????????????????????????
Good place, great coffee!
Service: - The guy in the ponytail had no patience whatsoever. Didn't even let us finish our order. Coffee: - Incredibly watered down without any flavour. Just brown water and milk. Ambience: - Very dim and gloomy I do not recommend this place at all. Very disappointed.
Good coffee, however the manager is very rude. Also saw the chef once shout at someone for missing the toilet and making a slight mess.
This place is nice and the avocado smoked salmon toast (came recommended) was fantastic. But I found the coffee too bitter for my taste. The staff were far friendlier to each other and to regulars than to me (someone walking in for first time). But that salmon toast is a huge 5 stars. Portion not big but makes you appreciate every bite even more.
Great coffee and ambiance!
Great coffee, friendly staff and although the avocado toast is a bit pricey, it's delicious!
OMG - I came here cause I was starving and saw a pic of their Avocado toast - and it did NOT disappoint. One of the best things I've ever eaten! Such a cozy ambiance and lovely owners.
Delicious coffee ☺
Everyone who says this place has the best Americano in town is correct!
I had great expectations about this coffee shop. When we finally got there, I was not disappointed by the atmosphere and the modern design of the place. However, our espressos were far below my expectations ; they were lukewarm, one didn't even have crema, and they were plain, which suprised me since they were using Phil & Sebastian beans.
Good coffee. Soso interior
I ordered the Cobb salad! The freshness of the ingredients is simply amazing! Tasty, nice presentation, fresh, delicious... Perfect place for a quick pit stop to refuel for your day!!!
Update: removed a star for sub-par service on my second visit. Love the cute interior and the pricey but delicious shortbread cookies.
One of the best coffee shops in town for people who know coffee. Great selection of beans, excellent baristas.
Great coffee and Smoked Meat sandwich
Y'know what. Good crema on the Phil and Sebastian beans! Staff are very friendly and the interior is nice with lots of lighting
Not sure why they sell necklaces and wallets. It makes no sense. If you are in a hurry this really isn't the place for you.
Expensive but worth it if you're looking to treat yourself to an artisanal cup of coffee. the staff seemed very knowledgeable about their products.
Amazingly good food, a top notch coffee program and a stunning venue. I've been coming here for years and it's one of my favourite coffee shops in the city.
This is my favourite coffee shop in all Vancouver
Very good coffee - barista knows what he's doing. Girl serving us might've just been having a bad day, but a bit unfriendly. It's Vancouver - we need to see some smiles!
Great coffee shop. Very talented baristas.
Good tea but overpriced.
This place was just amazing and staff was super nice to me. It is really hard to explain with words that how delicious was my brunch. Just drop by there!
Amazing everything????
Too expensive for what they offer.
Great space
Update OCT 2018: I no longer live in the hood, but still come every so often. The crew have really stepped up their game in the food & drink department! So many choices to choose from. One of the best in Vancouver! I visit this cafe on average twice a week for sit down meetings. I absolutely love the atmosphere, during the day at odd hours it is quite so it's a great place to have a business meeting. There drinks a great but a tad lacking in variety (Priced just on the higher side than most). There food is good, clean, healthy food all made in house and really well presented! I really love going here, its a 50 second walk from my house & my neighbourhood staple!
Great spot for food & coffee. Phil & Sebastian coffee is mainly used here. It's a cool space with a bit of retail thrown in displayed on an entire wall.
Neat little place to grab a tea or coffee and a light lunch
Best latte I have ever had. Delicious.
Decent coffee, good location but somewhat cramped inside.
Use P&S coffee beans. Few other Vancouver cafés step it up and are willing to source the top coffee
Coffee ok, ambiance no.
Absolutely incredible attention to detail. Best Americano I've had in ages.
It was a great experience. I love the food, latte and design but unfortunately the noise of the coffee machine is a little bit high. That's why I am give 4 out of 5.
My favourite coffee spot near kits point
Don't bother. Overpriced food and average coffee that they don't bring to you, even if you're in hands reach away. Also have to put dishes away yourself. Why was the sandwich $10 again?
Friendly proactive service. Serving espresso based drinks by Vancouver's Elysian Coffee. They do their own baking and carry some baked goods by Gastown's Cadeaux Bakery. Lots of seating, all barstool. Very modern space that also sells high end kitchen products by Enflux.
Best coffee in kits. Their Baristas know what they are doing for sure, great beans and They are now making their own almond milk also for those who indulge and it's incredible. Their food game just got stepped up too. Highly recommend.
Typically friendly and very enthusiastic staff at KAHVE. Low key environment for a chill study session, working remotely, or just hang out. I will definitely be back again.
Seems they spent a lot on interior but not really fancy. Coffee is good with Phil&Sebastian beans
Cute little modern coffee shop. They have delicious coffee by Philip and Sebastian. Also have to try the effervescent kumbacha drink. The lemon coconut bar is to die for! Service was very friendly and staff were nice!
I work near a coffee roaster and the baristas there recommend this place. They know coffee here and do great espresso based drinks, haven't tried their drip yet . They get their coffee from a roaster in Alberta and never tastes burned.
I love this coffee place! Get the avocado on toast it is amazing!! I run my personal training company TurnFit at the gym across the street and come here minimum once a week for my post workout snack and love the food and environment
(Translated) The atmosphere is good and the environment is good. The store sells coffee drinks, decaffeinated drinks, light meals, bread, biscuits, etc. The interior is clean and bright, and the opposite is the park. The milk foam of London Fog is smooth, not too sweet or too greasy. Lahua is super deliberate, super cute:) The amount is moderate. Open Toast comes in three flavors. This time I ordered avocado and shrimp flavors. They are both delicious. No thunder ~ The avocado sauce is very dense and delicate. It is very refreshing and appetizing with cucumber, tomato and beetroot! The taste of shrimp is also very refreshing, different from avocado, it has a softer taste-the half-boiled egg on top is also very good. The store does not provide wifi (not public), but you can connect to the public #vanwifi, there is no problem with the network connection! The store has a notice that it is not allowed to sit for a long time or work or read in the store (the longest time to use a laptop is 1 hour), so it is not suitable for students who want to read all day.
I had the caprese sandwich and it was just alright - not terrible, but not worth the price either, haven't gone back since. They do have good gluten free options if that's what you're looking for though!
Best avocado on toast of all time, regardless of the size and price. This is the good life, my god is it ever.
Really nice staff and a good amount of seating. I got a London Fog which had a nice flavour and great foam texture. They have some cool knick-knacks on display for sale and a neat loyalty card storage area for regulars why don't want to carry theirs.
One of my favourite cafes. Coffee is great and their breakfast egg on avocado toast is delicious!
Wish their coffee was at least mediocre after the attitude I got from the staff
Staff can't wait to close the doors at 4pm , turning away people at the door. Also closed all Sunday
Great food, super friendly staff. Certainly one of the best cappuccinos in Vancouver and the Matcha latte is top notch. One of my usual stops.
A very nice coffee shop with very good coffee.
Clean!
Good, small coffee shop with well sourced single origin coffees. Nice small bites and best Avocado toast with perfect poached egg in Vancouver!
Friendly staff, GREAT COFFEE, safe covid protocols for indoor seating. Beautiful bright atmosphere, with the option to pick up some unique items , and the park right outside the big windows :)
Friendly staff. Metered parking or free time-limited parking nearby. Home-made almond milk is a good dairy alternative - silky and creamy (not cheap, but quality makes up for it).
One of my favorite places, the food is always good and the coffee stands out for being creamy ande delicious and it's always great to see art on a cup of coffee ☕️ .The staff is always friendly!
Great drip coffee here. They are always bringing in something new for you to try!
A very good place for coffee or tea and a light lunch. The open face sandwich was very good.
Nice coffee shop, organic tea and very clean
Great space for a bit of work. Good coffee.
Good coffee. Very attentive staff. Light and comfortable space.
To give context I didn't tip. Got a black Americano and a croissant. Croissant came on a paper plate and cold/room temperature (could have microwaved), and a hair! Wonderful! Another customer across from me got a proper plate with her pastry. Not sure what's up, won't be back.
Super friendly and super relaxed. Perfect for a quiet read
Arrived 340pm with family (4) to be ‘greeted’ rudely by a person with ponytail and glasses Awful service and attitude - focusing more on closing at 4 than providing customer service. Especially during this difficult times, I would expect someone welcoming people/ business!!
Tried Kahve for the first time this morning, and I was absolutely appalled by the service (still am a bit shocked to be honest). Walked in with my friend and I said hello, to which I didn't get a response from the person behind the counter (I'm assuming she's the owner), and she just stared at me with a frown. I gave her my reusable cup and asked for an Americano, she responds with "so two americanos?" in an extremely impatient manner. My partner ordered and we paid, did not have a smile on her face the entire time. The barista made our americanos, we went to the counter to grab our drinks and asked for oat milk to top up our drinks (we're both lactose intolerant), and the owner turns around and says "that would be an extra charge". Seriously?! We grab coffee EVERY morning from a variety of coffee shops, and have never been told that topping up our americanos with a bit of oat milk would result in an extra charge. We didn't ask for an americano misto, you're not steaming the milk, makes no sense to charge us extra. Anyway, we weren't charged for it this time, but we definitely won't be back.
One of the best lattes in town..
Distinctly different beans make this a stand out coffee house.
Great coffee, friendly service, clean.
Great coffee and great service. Very knowledgeable staff.
I ordered a Cappuccino, the place is very unique and clean. Give it a try!
Very good Americano in a beautiful store
Their customer service is below the standard. Behaviour is rude.
Coffee - great. Avocado toast - awesome. What is in that avocado spread?! It is so delicious.
No light roast available but I enjoyed the medium roast of unknown origin
Decent coffee, but a little to small for the price
Great coffee. Friendly staff. Clean as a whistle. Good pastry too.
Beautiful little cafe. The style of the interior feels somehow European. Had a Cappuccino, a Matcha Latte and a sticky toffee bun. Everything was really good, just a bit on the pricey side.
One of my favorite cafés in Vancouver. I'm a local here and love the design of the interior and the effort the owners put in to quality ingredients for their drinks and sandwiches. Not the cheapest place, but the quality makes up for it. Also, the nitro cold brew and nitro kombucha are amazing. They also make homemade almond milk.
Awesome coffee and great service. The decor is also cozy and welcoming if you feel like parking yourself down for a bit.
Good coffee
Great coffee, cozy space, usually quite busy on weekends.
Super friendly staff and very tasty food
I am a loyal customer of Kahve and go at least twice a week. I am seriously disappointed as I had misplaced my loyalty card, and had to start another. When I found my misplaced card, I had exactly enough stamps for a free coffee between the two. Which, takes 12 coffees total for a free one, that’s a lot for a free coffee!! The girl at the desk said “sorry we don’t join cards, you have to hand in a full card no exceptions” Honestly I was shocked. Her reasoning was there were “too many wasted cards”. I will not be returning.
Delicious oat flat white!
Unique, beautiful, great food
Quite possibly the best latte I've had in my life. The staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.
Waited in Kahve during my Speedy glass appointment. Got a london fog and a croissant. I was skeptical of the croissant’s quality because it looked baked offsite or something and was only $3 (usually good croissants are a bit more). Turns out the croissant was excellent! The interior is nice. London fog was a bit on the bland side but the cute heart on top made up for it.
Aside from the great food the baristas here make one of the best flat white I’ve tried in Vancouver.
I ordered macchiato thinking the Starbucks macchiato but it wasn’t the one I was expecting. It says just macchiato, not “espresso” macchiato. I’m not a coffee drinker so there is no way I would have known it. So I told the person who made the drink I didn’t ordered “espresso” but he was like “you ordered it” as showing the order note and said “It’s not like a starbucks’s macchiato”. I’m not sure if it was the proper way to talk to customer as if he has experienced the same situation a lot of times. If so, they could have made it more clear. All 3 of them who work in the cafe were just staring at me and did nothing. They didn’t offer to add some milk or didn’t even bother explain what happened. It was just like “you ordered this so you better drink it”. It was the most unpleasant experience in cafe I’ve ever had. I’m so disappointed at how they treat their customer and it’s very unfortunate that they could have done better.
Exceptional food, coffee and service. Try the soup of the day! Big bright windows looking over a park. Enjoy.
The BEST oat latte I’ve ever had.
The coffee they used in my latte was a lighter roast which gave it a more acidic (slightly sour) profile. It wasn't bad; the milk texture was good and the milk tasted fresh. It's just my personal opinion that acidic coffees shouldn't be used in lattes which i think of more as a rich and velvety drink as opposed to the confused clashing of acidity and milk
Went here yesterday and had incredibly rude service from the guy in the ponytail. As I read through other reviews I see I'm not the only one - he's mentioned numerous times here. I spoke with the manager about him - shocked he's still an employee.
I love this coffee shop. The owner is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome with her beautiful smile. The drink and muffin special is a great treat!
This place used to be good but it has declined significantly. The staff is not friendly and there isn’t consistency with the food offering. I always ordered the avocado toast. From one day to the next, they decided to change the cheese from feta cheese (goat’s) to cheddar cheese and they didn’t bother to reflect that in their menu (it seems they run out of feta and just decided to put whatever else they had available!) I had to return my order and order something else. The owner wasn’t even apologetic and was more worried about me paying the $3 difference right away than fixing the issue. Needless to say, I’m not coming back to this place!
Great service. I appreciate the quality of their espresso roast, but it does have a very distinct flavour to it, not my favourite. Shop has very trendy and modern vibe, not very laid back. All personal preferences aside it is a good little coffee shop!
As a regular coffee drinker I was a big fan of Kahve as their coffee is really good. I was disappointed though when they put sweetened almond milk in my latte without asking and made it impossible for me to drink it. I have never had that happen anywhere before and wasn’t aware that the default would be sweetened vs unsweetened. You can always add sugar to coffee if it’s too bitter but you can’t remove it. Was very sad when I was just told I should have asked for unsweetened option when I wasn’t aware of the default and they didn’t try to do anything about it. Not a big thing but the experience counts as much as the coffee sometimes.
Coffee is ok especially among all other coffee shops in Vancouver
(Translated) Great atmosphere (Original) 氣氛很棒
Great coffee and espresso. They carry Phil and Sebastian coffee beans and their service is always good. The store has nice, open atmosphere which is very inviting. I have not tried their baked goods, but their espresso based drinks are top notch. If you enjoy the lightly roasted coffee beans that are nutty and flavorful (like the ones from Elysian, Matchstick, and Bump and Grind), you will like Kahve Coffee. So next time you want a great cup of coffee, instead of getting a cup of over-roasted and tired Starbucks, get a cup of latte at Kahve.
I absolutely love this adorable cafe! The space is beautiful and the drinks and food are so delicious! The owners and staff are also so very lovely! Lucky to have such amazing neighbours! Five stars all around!
Absolutely love this coffee shop.. their coffee is amazing here. Love their cappuccino and latte, their house made muffin is to die for and their breakfast are amazing too
They all lack customer service skills. Ponytail guy consistently maintains an attitude. Just order and pay. Special requests or friendliness tend to be reciprocated with a blank look. Coffee and food is above average. Good location. Good aesthetics.
Absolutely fantastic coffee! Didn't eat anything but the food did look good too.
Very good coffee shop and Charlie makes always my day a little bit brighter. Highly recommend
Had a cappucino, excellent quality, well above average for Vancouver standards. Friendly service, cool interior.
coffee taste like europe very good and nice park other side of road. take boat from stanley park or take bike over bridge.
(Translated) Delicious almond croissant and nice Costa Rica Pour Over. (Original) Delicious almond croissant and nice Costa Rica Pour Over.
Great coffee!
Casual euro styled upscale cafe with so many things to explore..hand made jewellery and unique artistic crafted bowls and coffee cups for purchase... really like that there is fresh cucumber water on the side to drink after a nice cappuccino...the massive floor to ceiling windows is definitely the highlight of this place with a nice open view for people or weather watching on a either a rainy or sunny day..
I think somebody peed in my matcha
Kahve is a special place, warm, open, light-filled, an urban oasis that also happens to serve great coffee, treats (try the pecan chewies!), and delicious lunch fare. Our favourites include the daily soups, salads, avocado toast and the Korean style pulled pork.
Great staff, great atmosphere and great coffee
Great coffee and nice/helpful staff. Not many tables, all high chairs. Will definitely go again
Really disappointed! This is the third time i pass by and they’re closed. Today 10 am and still closed! On google you mentioned 8 am as opening hour! ????
Absolutely horrendous service today. I was a regular at Kahve way back when they opened in 2015, I used to come everyday when I worked in the neighbourhood until I had to move offices. Once in a while when I'm around I would stop by to grab some food or drink. Today, i don't know what is up with the guy at the counter but he decided as soon as I walked in the door that he was going to be rude (make me wait to order while he watches his co-worker make drinks; that's fine but at least acknowledge my presence or say you'll be a minute) and give me attitude. Okay fine, so I tried to let it go and still tipped - he doesn't say thank you. Then they make my drink, put it on the counter and doesn't call it out or even say thank you when I come over and pick it up. Man, I used to get so excited coming here to chat with the staff I guess those days are gone and I also wont be coming back.
Interesting designer products for sale on the shelves. Very quiet cool confident vibe.
Great atmosphere, lots of merchandise on the shelf. Latte is ok.
I used to go to another caffe in the neighbourhood but they screwed my mocha very often, and depending on the barista they will greet me or not. I changed to Kahve where my drink always taste the same way regardless who makes it. That reflects consistency and proper training of employees. The staff is super friendly, the baked good are great, the atmosphere is very relaxing!
Food is expensive and overrated. However, the poor service was the most disappointing. To be frank, had the staff not been so ridiculously obvious with their personal preferences when helping different customers the experience could have been somewhat bearable. Multiple experiences with rude and short-tempered snapback responses from simple questions. Extremely unimpressed with the waiters as individuals let alone representatives of the company.
