I loved their beehive on display that would make honey for the restaurant, the decor, the employees. When I come back I will be returning, and recommend this to all!

Probably the best breakfast you can get in Crescent Valley. Which might not sound like much, but they have some great food and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Plus they have a live bee hive in their restaurant.

Definitely the best breakfast joint in the Nelson area I'd make the drive any time it well worth it. I had the "Godfather Benny" it was amazing the deep-fried onions on top were magic. Everything else at the table was really good to. The have a espresso machine and made me a perfect americano. Must go if you want breakfast. Huge outside ply area for the kids a good stop on the way to float the slocan.

Valhalla Pines Campground & Guesthouse

This is a hidden gem in the Slocan area - aesthetically, it's full of character with a wonderful hippie vibe (with which I relate very much). I was on my way back to Vancouver when I stopped here (the decor drew me in), so I only had time to order a coffee, but the massive selection of amazing-looking food was impressive. They have made-to-order, dine-in plates, as well as a selection of baked goods and take-away items. Based on how happy all of the seated and dining patrons looked, I can only imagine the food was as good as it looked. I WILL be back here some time to try the food. I highly recommend checking this place out, even if only for the novelty of it!

A very cool and funky diner for all meals with awesome outdoor booths and covered table seating and a reall added bonus with an grass field and playground for kids with its boundary! Way cool, my eggs done perfect, the bacon so delicious and wide strips and the rye toast is super hearty. A must go spot and worth the drive. Bring your bikes and ride the trail system right beside, after your meal.

Great tasting food and friendly staff. Everything is made to order with many locally sourced ingredients. Fair prices and good sized portions (I personally reccomend the eggs benny). In the warmer months there is outdoor seating available. I don't recommend trying to pull anything larger than a pickup into the parking lot, but kitty-corner across the road is a small community center that you can park at for free if you're in a motorhome or similar

This is a wonderful little gathering place for breakfast or lunch you have to get there before 2:00 or the kitchen closes down due to staffing. They have a wonderful bakery you can buy stuff from. As you can see in my pictures there's lots of places to sit outside and your kids can play on the playground and I thought everybody just like eating that's a great place to bike your family too or just bike yourself. I'm going to try to go there in the morning for breakfast but I bought a piece of carrot cake and it was just so wonderful

Had the Salmon eggs Beni, which was absolutely perfect. There were 4 of us and I got to try to test every plate to see if mine was the only good or all were up to par, I was disappointed at all with the rest. Place is extremely cozy as well, the outdoor patio is very relaxing. Service had an average wait time and the servers seemed to be super happy with what to do, I will be a repeat customer for sure.

Good food, nice atmosphere and lovely people Its such a nice place, but if I had to give it one reason for not having 5 stars would be the amount of literal signs, and boards with frogs on them. It can be very overwhelming at first, take note this is coming from someone who is not particularly fond or you could even say has a minor phobia of frogs. Over all though, a great place, with delicious foods and again outstanding service. I got a panini and it was tasty tasty.

Not a great experience at all....place was dirty and the food was cold and bland. Over priced for what I got and the staff didn't seem to care about my missing toast (which is a key part of breakfast!!). They were busy chatting and smoking cigarettes outside of the kitchen door when we walked out without finishing our meals. The classic eggs benny is not good. Not a fan of the sauce. It definitely wasn't a hollandaise that I've ever had. Egg almost seemed like it was hard boiled because it was so round. A round egg doesn't work on an eggs benny. Single slice of ham and nothing else on it. No tomato or anything. Carrot cake was pretty good.

This little cafe will always have a place in my heart. When I went to the college nearby, my friends and I would always come here for the sushi bowls and a good coffee. To say the food here is good, would be a terrible understatement. To say the food is great even, wouldnt be doing the quality of it justice. In fact, I have yet to find a word in the english language to properly describe how incredible the food here is. If the royal family were to visit, this is where I would recommend. By far, the best tasting panini, I have ever had. And the rice bowls... wow. The quality; extreme. The taste is on another level, and doesnt leave you feeling greasy or heavy, leaves you feeling refueled amd energized. The smoothies and iced coffee, I felt I didnt deserve such a fine tasting beverage. Frog peak sets a high, high bar for cafes and restaurants around. If youre passing through, and are hungry, or even live in the area, this should be your first choice of where to eat out. Simply incredible.

The owners have definitely done a great job here. Newly added indoor seating and wonderful outdoor patios and gardens. Parking has become harder tho because it's always busy. I'd consider investing in enlarging parking if at all possible.

Great food, but too loud..! My date and I had to vacate the premises because we couldn't hear each other over the radio and the other patrons who has to tell to be heard over the radio and ... The other patrons who were telling to be heard over the radio... The sound pressure was really intense.

Came to eat here on my wedding day, and had longed to eat at this funky cafe. I was not disappointed. The Sushi Bowl I ordered was a healthy portion of yummy-ness...fresh veggies and salmon with a yummy sauce (A little small for such a big salad)with chopsticks. The service was efficient, patient and kind. My favorite thing about this place is everywhere you look there's something to see.
