Very unprofessional. Most of the reviews are from his friends. Very expensive coffee and sweets. Do you like to overpay? I recommend starbucks.

I don't know if it's just the coffee shop where I had their coffee. I really like the place, I *want* to like the coffee because I really like hanging out there. The baking is reasonably good, the staff friendly, the atmosphere as I like it (open, roomy, comfortable arm chairs) but the coffee. Horrid. I'd rank Tim Horton's above 49th Parallel's. It's really that bad. I drink a lot of coffee, mostly brewed at home. I drink some of the best locally roasted beans - Saltspring Island, Kicking Horse, Ethical Bean Co., the great stuff at the original Bean Around the World in West Van. I know my coffee. This stuff's awful. I couldn't even finish my cup.

The design team deserves a special mention here because the interior of the 'Main' street location hits every note. Good lighting, comfortable seating, and a variety of natural textures all conspire to create a genuinely welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Great place to people watch. And of course the coffee at Forty Ninth Parallel is second to none. I personally prefer coffee on the lighter side. On this particular visit the Guatemalan blend was the coffee of the day. I've also had the Ethiopian blend. Both are top notch. The donuts are good, however, the butter croissant is seriously, out-of-this-world flaky. Be sure to put forty ninth parallel on your walking tour plans during your next visit to Vancouver.

Just the office. Not the shop

I'm a huge fan of the Old School Espresso beans but do however find it overpriced.

This is just an office, but you can buy coffee beans and 49th Parallel merch here still. The beans here are often roasted that day also, so they very fresh. The staff are also super nice and helpful.

Great coffee. I'm sitting here enjoying a cup as we speak!

The cost of your Old School Espresso beans jumped from $19.95 per pound (16oz) to $18.00 per 12oz. This is 20% increase! Wholesale coffee prices are at the lowest levels in 10 years! Your coffee shop was my favourite coffee place in Vancouver and we were using your beans for our home espresso machine for many years. The way you have increased prices for you coffee beans, that were already high compared to other brands was not very cool. We have just finished the last bag of your Old School Espresso beans and moved on! Adieu!

met a barrista named Will nguyen, rude little fella. My son told him to learn some manners, I laughed as my boy is not 6

They are close now for customers. Until covid19 end.

As a dedicated home barista, I love picking up my fresh roasted beans directly from the 49th Parallel Roasters in Burnaby. The people who work in the office and take your order are so very friendly and helpful. I like the "Old School Espresso" blend and recommend it for it's smooth and flavourful character. As long as I'm drinking coffee, I will be a 49th Parallel customer!

It’s not the greatest coffee in Vancouver anymore. I’m a cafe owner and they have awful customer service, rude and self entitled employees. Good thing I never signed up with them. They need to treat people with respect. Staying away, Vancouver has MANY coffee roasters.
