I stumbled upon an ad featuring Joe Flamm winner of season 15 on Top Chef. Apparently this is the sister restaurant to the real deal Spiaggia. The inside decor is adorable. I sat at a tiny table by the window overlooking Chicago and order a glass of sparkling rose. It was the perfect drink to celebrate my success on a conference panel.

Bad location, dirty atmosphere, shifty regulars always hanging out inside, staring you down as you make your purchase. I always feel like I'm going to get robbed on the way out. And the staff seem friendly, but still shifty. Like that one friend everyone has but no one trusts. I have also noticed that I look at nice product in the jars, but then I get home and dont have the same nice product in the bag. Its like you order one thing and they slip you something of lesser quality. There's other places in town, Brantsterdam is just a "last resort"

Normally I'd give more than a 3 star for an established business such as "Bransterdam" They had really good product. Went in looking for a pen, and came out with one. Price was good. But the employees didnt look..like a proper bud tender. And it seemed really sketchy. All in all I was satisfied..but the over all experience was a dingy bar. I expected something a little more informative about from their employees.
