Durning the first weeks of COVID, our washing machine broke. The Brick was able to suggest washers that could get delivered relatively quickly so that we wouldn't be without for too long. I am thankful for the service and very happy with our new washer.

This store has done nothing but give my family the run around. My son was there just yesterday and found what they were going to buy. It was arranged to be delivered today. Its only 11 am and they've called 4 times demanding payment or it will be sold. Then told them they may not get it delivered till Tuesday. Totally NOT ever going to shop there!

I was able to go to this wonderful store today to view some items with complete ease. I use an electric wheelchair and it’s the only store in this area that gives me total access to all items in the store. The isles between items were wide enough for me to negotiate. What a plus that was for me to look, touch and feel the furniture, appliances...etc. The staff, well!! What can I say... they are the best. I saw Jean-Leo Richardson and another very knowledgeable young gentleman but unfortunately I don’t recall his name. Keep up the good work with your great staff and store!

Black Friday bought mattress. Picked the on I wanted and sat on a firm mattress for 45 min while the sales person wrote up invoice. Mattress was delivered, after about 1 month it started to sag. I do not believe the mattress I sat on in the show room is the mattress they sold me. I believe they sold me something else of lesser quality. Called to return it, salesman told me due to COVID they could not do return. I will never buy from the Brick again. I am stuck with a $1000 mattress that is garbage. This is why I shop on Amazon and not locally in North Bay.

Went shopping at several stores in Cranbrook for a washer and dryer set. While the manufacturer pretty well sets the prices, not all stores in town have the inventory. The Brick had both the latest Top Brand manufactures promotional pricing AND they had plenty of inventory of the units we selected. We had a need of a tight delivery and the Brick came through for that as well. Let me take a moment to praise the guys that delivered and set up our new washer and dryer. These guys are EXCELLENT. They were VERY efficient in how they handle, unpack and install your purchase. Had our old units taken out and new Washer and Dryer set installed and hooked up in no time. Courteous, respectful of your property, and very efficient. Thanks Guys. Well Done and I encourage management to relay our thanks to your delivery team. Also appreciated the follow up call by your sales lady( Anita, I believe) to ensure we were happy with the whole process. We will be back.

This company is absolutely chaotic, unorganized, and just overall poorly managed. I purchased mattress set at a great price during the boxing day sale, but had I known the amount of hassle and frustration it would cause me dealing with issue after issue with The Brick in North Bay, I would rather pay full price anywhere else. I had to wait a couple of weeks after purchasing the mattress for it to arrive from the distribution centre, no big deal I thought. On the day its scheduled to be delivered to my house, the girl calls to let me know that they "couldn't get the mattress and box spring to fit on the truck" and they also couldn't get another truck until the following week. She gave me 50% off of the mattress protector for the inconvenience and I start to wait again. The next week rolls around and the brick calls me for what i think will be a delivery confirmation. It turns out, yet again, they couldn't figure out how to fit a mattress and a box spring into the delivery truck, and they would have to re schedule, yet again. They threw in a set of sheets and a "top quality" bed frame for this newest inconvenience and surprisingly our mattress set actually showed up the following week. Finally the stress was over. Until it wasn't. We noticed that this top quality bed frame was actually bending in on itself. I called for a warranty claim and they said theyd have a replacement to me by the following week. Due to the nature of my work, I'm gone from 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday so it was made clear that I could only be available for a delivery before 11 am. I was told that they could deliver it before 11 am on the Wednesday and I agreed that would be perfect, it's now Wednesday and I just got a phone call to confirm the delivery anywhere between 11:30 or 12 and 2pm. When I clarified that I had specified multiple times that It had to be before 11, and that it was confirmed to me by the brick staff that it would be delivered before 11, the delivery guy sounded skeptical of the encounter and it was yet another headache of having to phone to brick to clarify yet another mistake of something that should have just been managed properly in the first place. This franchise is irredeemable and I would not recommend taking your business to this company if you want to maintain your sanity.

We bought a Randal fabric sofa bed from The brick in Bathurst. after only one month of light use it started showing a lot of lint and fuzz balls on its seating part fabric. We have contacted them for assistance. they offered to take the sofa to repair it for an unknown period of time with no back up sofa. this is the only sofa in our house we are using it as sofa in days and bed in nights so if they don't provide a back-up, it should be very inconvenient for us. By the way when we asked them about the repair process. if they want to change the whole upholstery or only want to remove the lint by something like shaving the fabric which is not a permanent solution. they didn't get back any response.

FIVE STAR PLUS!!!! We have purchased numerous article at the Brink in North Bay. Customer service is exceptional. The quality is excellent and the speed in which our furniture arrives is excellent. Not only has the in store service been great but so has the delivery team. The movers have always been very polite and respectful of our home being very cautious and meticulous not to damage any walls or other furniture in our home. All appliance stores are the same UNTIL things don't go according to plan. We purchased a new wall oven microwave combination oven that gave us issues from day one. After attempting one repair the result was actually worse...without hesitation the Brick suggested we return the oven and source a new unit. We went with a different brand and we gladly paid for the upgrade. The new unit is on order and we should see it in a month or so. This is the type of service you walk away from when you don't buy locally. Well done to Derek Exner and Beth Jackson. We are looking forward to doing business with you again. They even moved an extra recliner chair we bought next to a new set we bought a few weeks previous to make sure they looked good together. I just want to commend Derek Exner at the Brick. My fridge broke down on the weekend. Only place I could find a black fridge with the correct dimensions was The Brick. Derek was very informative and prompt with his recommendations on the phone and email. My bad was I didn't want to lose the opportunity to have the fridge (and microwave) so I ordered them online. I did not know that the Brick online business is separate from the local stores despite choosing your location on the website. So for those that don't know this, if you want to buy and support local, have to connect with the local store. Next time for sure. Thanks Derek.

Had sale flyers from other stores but decided to drop in at the Brick just to compare prices and makes and types of mattresses they carried which I was in the market for. The salesperson showed us where they all were and said if we needed anything just to call for her and she went to do other things but always kept an eye on us. We called her over twice to ask her questions about certain types of mattresses and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. Also the sale prices were comparable with other stores so we just decided to purchase the mattress there. The salesperson quickly ordered our mattress and gave us our choice as to when we wanted it delivered to the house. The following week right on schedule two very nice young guys delivered the mattress and box spring and set everything up. Couldn't ask for anything better.

From Sudbury and drove to North Bay's store because they had a sectional I had seen on display that Sudbury did not. Got there and was super impressed with the store, staff and service. Sudbury's location is cluttered with a lot of damaged/incomplete furniture around the showroom. The store isn't very clean and the staff are really aggressive. The North Bay location is impeccably clean, the staff were patient and knowledgeable. I would definitely take the trip next time I need to make a purchase. I ordered a sectional, smart tv and sound bar to be shipped to Sudbury and I'll pick it up there. Here's hoping I have no issues.

I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied with my recent experience. In September I order two large appliances. One arrived in the fall, was delivered, unpacked and installed. I was very satisfied at that point. The other appliance arrived today and was delivered at which point I was informed they would not unpack due to covid protocol. That would have been understandable had I been informed which I had not been. The first appliance was installed inside my house with the service representative being inside for about 1/2 hour. The appliance today was going in the garage so representative wasn't required to enter house at all. Being a senior citizen living on my own I now have to make other arrangements when The Brick should be completed their customer service requirements. I will likely not shop at the Brick again.

We purchased a set of loveseat and a carpet on Dec 1, 2020. My Invoice number is 120109KJJAG. The loveseats was delivered as promised while the carpet was set for delivery Dec. 21. It did not show up on our door. I phoned the store and was told it will be delivered Jan 07, 2021. No carpet was delivered. I phoned the store on Jan 8 at around 11 am, spoke to this lady and was told "it is not on the system". I was upset & asked the lady where did the other staff got the delivery dates we were promised if nothing is showing up in the system. Her reply to me was " you know you can always cancel an order" Wow what a customer service they got. When I was inside their store in Dec 01, they were very pleasant but now I did not realized I was just a transaction after my credit card has been swiped. I did not agree to her suggestion though so she said she will get back on me. She did. She spoke to my husband and was told the item was discontinued but they are willing to give the one they have on display on their showroom (the one I saw the day we were there and ordered) .Was also promised a $100 discount that until now I have not received and that the item will be delivered Jan 11. The carpet was delivered BUT it was not the one that was on the showroom that I ordered. I was promised a $100 discount but was given an old , shaggy, and in a decrepit status of an area rug. I told my co workers about this experienced and was surprised to find out that they have the same experienced with this store. One purchased a sofa set 5 years ago. Wrong item was delivered to their home. The other fellow ordered a mattress 3 years ago and had a trouble with delivery schedule. Their experience happened years ago and yet I have to experience the same level of disappointment as them. NOTHING HAS CHANGED NOR IMPROVED BASED ON THESE FACTS. Next time I need something - I will consider this store to be my last option. Buy from this store if you have the patience and the time to deal with their inconsistencies and very poor customer service especially from the one who answered my call last Jan 08, 2021.

In July, we purchased a mattress from the North Bay location of the Brick. Amber was super-helpful and the mattress arrived at our home quickly. Unfortunately, after trying the mattress for a couple of weeks, we came to realize that we hated it! Neither of us were able to get any sleep! We called the Brick and made arrangements to exchange it for a different one. We bought 4 appliances from The Brick, Cranbrook. Good pricing... However we are still waiting on the dishwasher one month later. Finally being delivered this afternoon (we hope). First delivery was just the refrigerator but was severely scratched and had to go back same day. It was replaced a week or so later along with the microwave. (halfway there!!!) Next delivery was stove .... when it was moved in they damaged the new refrigerator door. (still no dishwasher). Today they are delivering the dishwasher and the replacement door for the refrigerator (we hope). We just found out that the delivery time is between 4 and 6 PM on a Saturday...I think we should be the first delivery of the day so we could get it installed. WHAT A MARATHON.

We bought a new boxspring, mattress and bed frame. The young lady who served us was wonderful from the moment we walked through the door. The two young men who delivered also did a great job. They put the bed frame together and followed our instruction regarding the transfer of our older mattress to the new boxspring and our new mattress on our master bedroom bed. If I could give them zero stars I would. Delivery was requested but no mention of assembly. I am a young female living alone with no means to assemble this myself. When I called to ask questions and schedule the delivery I was hung up twice by a very rude receptionist. Delivery persons refused to speak English to me, they would speak French and when I apologized for being English only they didn’t not repeat themselves to me. I have no idea what information they were trying to tell me because would not repeat in English. I then called the store to enquire about why I wasn’t offered this and to express my disappointment and they were in a hurry to get me off the phone. I was transferred three times to different MEN who didn’t want to help me and at the end of the day I just ended up leaving my name and phone number for a call back. Every single person I spoke with from this location/franchise has been RUDE and ARROGANT and I feel like I have been taken advantage of by being a young female girl who had a language barrier with the employees. NEVER BUYING HERE AGAIN. ALSO, when I mentioned returning the product they essentially told me “too bad”.

Buyer beware! Do not purchase extended cleaning warranty. It’s a scam. I was told during purchase that this is ideal for family wear and tear and can be used to get couch cleaned and stains removed, salesman made it sound like this was an easy no questions asked process. This is a lie. Upon trying to use this “warranty” I was told I’d have to pay out of pocket to have couches cleaned … and IF stains do no come out then I can contact the Brink again about this warranty. Very dissatisfied.

So far not impressed. Bought a couch set last week in February. Was told it would be delivered on March 7. When we called was told they did not even have it in town. Wasted the morning waiting for the delivery. They could have at least notified us that they could not deliver on the promised time! Absolutely horrible service. Ordered a glider over three months ago and was told it would be delivered 2 months ago. Every two weeks I call and they say the manufacturer has not shipped it yet. But you have no problem selling chairs you do NOT have!! My pregnant gf and I have had no place to sit for almost three months and when you look for an answer, all they say is well we can give your money back. How does that help. If you are looking for furniture, i highly suggest Leon's.

I called for a warranty claim and was horribly disappointed by the supervisor that answered my call (psychopath). She had negative remarks and an off-putting attitude from the start so I asked if there was an issue and that's when she started to argue with me. When I asked for a manager she said there wasn't one. Needless to say that this place is a joke and only in North Bay would this happen. This Brick is not a corporate store and isn't held accountable in the same way so be careful of what you buy. I would highly recommend going elsewhere, especially considering I’ve had to have my couches replaced 4 times since purchase.

This location has HORRIBLE customer service. I have ordered from The Brick for years, and have only had great experiences, but when I moved to North Bay and accepted a call from this store about delivery I was appalled. The woman calling to talk to me about delivery was rude, aggressive, and condescending. I paid for delivery of a living room and dinning room set and the 6 chairs to the dinning room set weren't in. So she expected me to go pick them up when they arrived, or delay my entire delivery until they did. When I told her that I would not be going to pick them up she got argumentative and asked "what's the issue, do you not have a car to come get them?" I had to explain to her that I did have a vehicle but paying for delivery meant it was the stores responsibility to get my furniture to my house. She continued to argue with me, so I requested to speak to a manager to make a complaint, at which point she informed me she was the manager. Then she decided to allow my furniture to be delivered as it arrived, even if it meant coming out twice, as if she was doing me a favor.... I was tempted to cancel my entire delivery because of how rude this woman was, and take my money to Leons. If I didn't need the furniture, I definitely would've. Recommendations: This woman should be kept in a back warehouse, away from customers and any possible interactions with anyone. Just because she's related to someone higher up at the store, doesn't give her the right to treat people the way she does.
