The coffee and the menu here is excellent, the location is great if you’re getting off the bus, sitting room is adequate and the service is very good. The taste of the coffee isn’t as good as other places in town but it’s not a bad coffee At all. I would recommend the start if you’re also looking to get a bite to eat with your drink

A very quaint little cafe. I've only been in for breakfast so I'm afraid I can't comment on the rest of their menu, but when I've gone the food quality has been excellent. The service is always nice and their coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is always delicious.

Love this place! Such a cool vibe. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Not the best service. My table had an eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros and a classic breakfast. All three were delicious! The eggs on one were overdone so the owner remade them for us free of charge, very kind! Their tea and coffee is delicious too. Really happy we came here, would recommend to family and friends.

This is my favourite place in Barrie! Always great food and service, and I love that you have a good number of vegan friendly options on both menus! I recently had the golden milk latte and it was amazing, and I'm pretty sure I've gotten the chocolate and coconut cookie sandwich every time I've come because they are just that good! The atmosphere, music, and decor are great, this is the perfect place to come for a while to catch up with friends! I love everything and will continue to come back again and again!

Really nice place! We've tried it first through a delivery service and once it was open, went in for breakfast. Tulip Cafe is different from the other breakfast places in Barrie and it's really cool. Food was so good! Coffee was delicious! Guys were super friendly:)

I've walked past this place so many times and I've always wanted to go there, but I've always been on a tight schedule and I thought today was the day to go in and see how it was. I went with my 7 year old, she got a hot chocolate and I got a Cafe mocha. They were both super delicious! The atmosphere is nice cozy and the staff were super friendly and service was quick. Prices are on par with other coffee shops, but the quality surpasses other places. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the downtown area.

The lazy tulip is a great place to go eat. All the food was delicious and at a pretty good price. We got the Buddha bowls, Mediterranean sandwich, scrambled tofu, some tulip hash, and golden milk latte. The lattes were so tasty too, we decided later to get them and glad we did. Portions were good, as most things came with a side of salad or some focaccia. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area!

Downtown Barrie has several cafes and eateries that are amazing, and this is one of the best. Friendly and charming service (the men who work here are so nice and helpful). Seating and the cafe itself is cozy, but the great decorating and arrangement makes everything feel spacious and airy. It's a restaurant that you want to sit and relax in. Lots of gluten-free and vegan options, and everything I've had is flavourful and original. Love the breakfast tacos, gluten-free zucchini muffins, lattes and golden milk.

Menu was diverse. Had alot of vegetarian options which was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Down side was limited parking and seating when I went do to being downtown. But would definitely recommend for the food and service.

We came for the Mother's Day menu. It's a beautiful spot with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The food was lovingly plated, fresh, and delicious. My only regret was that I couldn't (in good conscience) try all the desserts. Thanks for making my Mom's day! We'll definitely be coming back.

Love this place! Everyone is friendly and the food is great! It is an excellent place to go if you or your friends are gluten free, vegetarian and/or vegan. My complaints would be the temperature is either hot or cold, the servers seem to forget simple things like giving you a spoon to stir your coffee or just giving you utensils and it can get slow when they get busy. You can see the servers getting frantic. Still not reasons to not eat here, it’s worth it!

Lunch was quite nice, good sandwich. Staff is friendly. There are some health issues though. The prep lady kept wiping her nose with her unprotected hands as she made lunches. And the washrooms are gross with urine soaked floors, tap is missing an aerator so it splashes, TP holder hanging off the wall.

Very nice place to get some more special food (other than an average lunch menu). They have some nice gluten-free and vegetarian options too. Our lunch tasted really good! Server was very friendly. We had lunch outside, and the only negative about it is that most of the buslines come by and that make it very noisy (& sometimes stinky as well).

Ordered take out today. 3 salads and 1 coffee. It came as $50. Price is not the problem if the quality of the food is decent. Coffee is sour so we ended up having to drive to Tim’s 2 minutes away to get another coffee. The salad is very tasteless. My son seems to enjoy the bacon in his keto salad but chicken in it is not good. Will not come back.

Cute spot in Barrie. The menu is a little too big. I think they'd do better to focus on a few items and do them really well. I had the huevos rancheros and it was just okay. My partner had a bowl, which looked very nice. They had decorated for pride when I was there, which was really lovely. It has a community vibe, with posters and flyers for local businesses. Super comfy place. I'd come back for coffee, for sure.

I am editing my review as the owner responded, addressing some of my issues. (I observed she tries to intimidate those who give a less than glowing review.) 1. She failed to mention my plate that had the large chips out of it. 2. She lectured me on the "no straw issue". 3. I watched our server clean tables with a dirty rag then hand deliver our unwrapped straws. *This is a long review because so many things turned me off. Slow service even though server was wandering empty handed. Ordered the ice tea which came in a jar.... without a straw! I am pissed at this war on straws! Who would drink out of a jar - I'm not that much of a hillbilly! My soup and salad arrived on a red plate with four large chips out of it. Are they in my salad? My husband's quiche had the consistency of tasteless scrambled eggs with minimal cheese, mushrooms or spinach. None in the quiche, only as a topping. I could go on, but so many other choices for lunch.*

I'm incredibly privileged to serve the greatest regulars a restaurant could offer not to mention the fascinating travelers that stop by daily. Long time customer, year long employee... this gem still surprises me with it's menu changes. Have to give it up to the owner for being a power house. Busy place, loving crowd. Love our customers and our staff. Ps. The Chicken Mushroom wrap is still my all time favourite and have to muster up all of my willpower to not eat one every lunch break.

Walk in loved the environment was very relaxed and welcoming. The coffee was quick and amazing. Had a few cups of it before getting our breakfast which did come very quickly and hot. Love this hidden gem in Barrie! Eclectic comfy atmosphere. Met Michele who is the owner and she has created an authentic healthy restaurant. I have been there twice now and both times were excellent. The bread they make in house was quite possibly the best bread I've ever had, the mains were on point and the atmosphere and people were so warm and welcoming. Honestly im a bit disappointed, i got the classic breakfast My eggs were done properly, the canadiano was good, the fruit was nice and i liked the bread but had to cook it longer cause was a little doughy Now my cons the portion size was extremely small, the turkey bacon felt like it could of been cooked a bit longer, and the homefries were raw Dont think ill be ordering from you again unless i want a canadiano, i can get the portion size being healthy alternative but least cook the food properly

Visited Barrie for the day and came across this beautiful cafe. It's great to see a menu free from fries, the options were plentiful and the food was delicious, portions for lunch were excellent. Also the breakfast tea was really tasty. Staff were very friendly and gave great service. We had a take-out date square for afters and it was also lovely.

This is such a quaint restaurant that we just had to try it. The Lazy Tulip has funky decor and a menu that will please carnivores and vegans alike. There is a little patio outside as well as a few different eating areas. We had the Chicken & Brie Panini and the Grilled Chicken & Mushroom Wrap one with Butternut Squash Soup and the other with salad. All the food was excellent. To drink, they offer unique natural sodas so we tried the Black Cherry as well as the Apple & Ginger sodas which were also very good. Our server was friendly and efficient and greeted regulars by name as they walked in. Prices were pretty good for this unique cafe and it's always good to support local businesses. There is a bit of parking out front on the street as well as just up the street in the lot by the Spirit Catcher sculpture.

The chicken club was outstanding! Our sandwiches were made using a huge slices of soft focaccia bread and was garnished with real cheddar, tomatoes and a roasted red pepper mayo that complimented them perfectly. Our salad was full of fresh organic mixed greens with pumpkin seeds. The dressing was a home made tarragon basil mixture. They seem to offer more vegetarian options than non, but that would not deter me from ordering from them again.

Talk about a flashback! This place is so cool, this is by far my favorite design that I have seen in a coffee shop! I love the Nintendo 64 because it truly just brings back fun memories with my brother and just being little and free. Man I miss not paying bills! Good menu variety of fresh food, and coffee latte selection is on point and service is prompt and accommodating. Our Tesla Owners group did a roadtrip through Barrie and stopped here for Brunch. The lazy tulip was absolutely amazing with coordinating the reservation, especially considering our numbers kept changing up until the last hour prior. Food came out quick, and was delicious. Very efficiently ran restaurant. Highly recommend.

We were waited on by Taylor, and what lovely service we had. She was an absolute gem, always checking in at the right time. I forget the other young waitress, but during our stay, I found out about a certain funny thing they did to each other as colleagues. She was delightful as well. The place itself has charm galore, and for it's smaller size, it's got a good menu of items available. I don't drink coffee, but my GF said it was good as well. Keep up the great work all! :)

Food was ok. Asked for water, brought over a pitcher of water which they added fresh mint on the stem and lemon. The bottom of the pitcher had soil, which leads me to questioned, was the mint washed?

The Lazy Tulip Cafe is a quaint restaurant nestled in Bradford Street, Barrie. The decor and atmosphere is welcoming and it has a big patio on the side. Coming with friends and family to this place is always a good idea because you can enjoy some great food while chatting it up.

A shining light in a dismal town. This place had a wonderfully Bohemian feel with friendly, thoughtful staff, delicious food and yes..a second cup of coffee without even asking. Thanks for making my day. We liked it so much that we had both breakfast and lunch there.

The coffee was really bad, usually I wouldn't say anything but I couldn't drink it. The waiter was very nice and didn't charge us for it. The portions were a little small but the bread was delicious.

Food was GREAT. Service was lacking and we were asked to leave just after we paid the bill because there were customers waiting. There were other open tables. We were still drinking so had to rush our visit so that the waiter could get more tips :( I seldom travel to Barrie (I'm from Burlington area) and one of our group was visiting from Manitoulin. So I was disappointed with how the meal ended.

Hands down the best food I've ever had! We're hooked. We discovered this restaurant not even a week ago and I've been there four times already! Arguably the BEST eggs Benedict on earth! They have delicious coffee and lovely super friendly wait staff. We absolutely love this place.

Easily the best sandwiches and wraps I have ever had, such a cute little spot with great service and amazing food. I work just down the road and I go there for lunch easily 2-3 times a week and each time the food is awesome! You've won be over lazy tulip the only complaint I have is that your not open later.. ;)

Went here with my son and daughter in law for lunch and absolutely loved it. We had a short wait when we got there as it was busy but it was definitely worth it. The food choices were great whether you're vegan or not. I had the tulip hash and enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend this little gem to others.

Food was good, had the breakfast tacos but I found the corn tortilla although good, dominated the flavour. Service is less than stellar, I was given the impression that I was bothering the staff by being there. My in-laws recommended here and said the same thing, good food but service is lacking.

We were in town picking up our daughter from camp so decided to try this place. The location is good, close to the waterfront. The cafe is cute and eclectic and very busy as you would expect on a Sunday around brunch. What disappointed me the most was we ordered food and it came out 40 minutes later. Turns out they packaged our food and gave it to another couple who ordered to go and then ran after the couple to get our food. That was pretty bizarre. The food itself was good and fresh, but nothing to really rave about or justify the time it took to prepare.

While having a salad for breakfast might not be for everyone. . .I thought this place was a very good choice to have breakfast. Sometimes you have to be willing to go outside the norm to find something exciting and fresh. This place is very upbeat and fun. It probably caters more to woman and younger people.

This place is special. 5 of us stopped in Barrie looking for a light lunch to grab on Saturday June 30. Recommendations online had been for this place. It was a little late in the day and they were set to be closing at 4. We arrived around 315-330. When we arrived the girl at the counter said that they had packed up the food and we're closing early due to the extreme heat going on. She could see that we were not from the area and than decided that she could make us some sandwiches. With the heat, the lateness in the day, she really exemplified, what I call perfect service. The willingness to go that extra mile to satisfy a customer. I have been to many places all over the world, recieved many different types of service, but this was on the outstanding mark. Thanks Lazy Tulip Cafe! And if the owner is reading this, you have two wonderful staff that deserve some recognition. Oh, and the food was wonderful as well. We will be back when in Barrie again.

Some reviews for this place are really quite exuberantly glowing. I am never in Barrie. Maybe there's not much to choose from. Lunch was definitely good: a nice little grilled chicken and Brie sandwich. I enjoyed it. The server was pleasant. It was good, but over-the-moon fabulous? No. Finally got out here for a "coffee" with a friend. Had the "french toast" which was more like a divine banana bread. Super cute place, great service and busy!
