I love the variety of cheeses that J'adore offers especially their featured cheeses, which are only available for a limited time. We ordered the formage a la truffe noire and we absolutely loved it! Best little cheese shop in Barrie. Jessi and Becki have created a gem in downtown Barrie. Fantastic cheese selection and very knowledgeable staff. Chocolate made on site and fresh lunch ideas too. This is an intimate space with surprises around every corner. Very friendly staff and gift items priced for every budget. Congratulations on a job very well done!

A super cool, local cheese shop. I love that they carry so many local products and have such a great variety of cheese. Their homemade chocolate products are to die for. I ordered our Christmas baskets for work from them this year to try a local company and they went above and beyond with the product they delivered. We ordered 13 baskets and each basket was beautifully prepared. They helped me take them out to my care and I was very happy with the amount of products in the basket. The staff are very helpful and really provide great customer service.

Very unique place in Barrie. Great selection of cheese and chocolate. Even some local products like jams and jellies are sold here. Tea, hot chocolate and coffe can be founs here as well. Very helpfuland supportive staff. Gift boxes are perfect presents for any kind of celebration. Warm recommendation. For sure I will come back.

We ordered the small cheese tray and a couple of other unique cheeses we wanted to experience. Beyond our expectations, and a wonderful Valentine's day cocktail hour treat. My husband and I shared this with our son and son's girlfriend, living with us right now due to Covid. These two normally work at Reign at the Royal York and have 5 star taste/experience. We all thought every cheese was delicious and memorable! If you haven't tried J'adore you are missing a delightful taste adventure!!

Went to one of their Beer + Cheese tastings for my fiance's birthday. Not only was it a fantastic event, but Jessi, Bekki, and their staff customized my food and drink menu to accommodate being vegetarian and pregnant. Highly recommend checking it out and if you have any dietary restrictions they will be more than happy to help you out!

The Speakcheasy is a great relaxed atmosphere, wonderful cheese boards, handmade chocolate boards and wine...some cool "vintage" cocktails as well. In the basement of J'Adore. The store has a lovely selection of specialty cheeses, sauces, breads and chocolates. I'm definitely going back!

A fantastic dining experience every time we go. Recently went for Canada day long weekend and the fryer wasn’t quite working for our poutine. So the chef kept bringing us out food as an apology. It was so sweet and thoughtful. Can’t recommend them enough.

1st time great. Second time great. Third time amazing. After going for aps and authentic 1920s themed drinks (with an abundance of atmosphere) we decided to buy into the Valentine's Speak Cheesy; the cheese and wine adventure that left us wanting more. Amazing staff and phenominal foods/drink. Paired extremely well with plenty of history and cheese/wine knowledge shared along the way. 10/10

Great selection of delicious and unique cheeses, my only issue was staff handling the cheeses without using gloves or wax paper or something along those lines. They didn’t wash their hands, were touching their hair, face, one licked her fingers and then handled the cheeses, not cool...if I hadn’t seen all of that, would have rated them higher for sure, it’s a cute little shop.

We went for a drive today with the intent of stopping at a few shops that were recommended by friends. J'adore was one of them and we were not disappointed. This little shop was very welcoming and the staff and owner were just terrific! We chatted and made a few purchases and were very happy with our visit and products. My husband bought some Sharp Cheddar and we just tasted it and OMG it's amazing! I can imagine we will be going back as soon as we can. This is an actual hidden gem - the food is insane. The ambiance was 20's Speakeasy complete with a photo of Al Capone! Megan was our host/server and her enthusiasm was contagious. From her sangria to start us off right through to the chocolate fondue at the end. Well done and we will be back!

Edit in response to owners question: I would love to see a larger selection of non alcoholic parings with your cheese, maby kombucha, ginger beer or mocktails available as a tasting kit on your website.

Would love to review this place but unable as I haven't been able to get a reservation. I have tried to book a reservation 5 times now using their booking system- shows what times are available on each date. Every reservation request has been rejected! I even tried to book an event there once but did not receive a reply back. Unfortunately due to this.... we will not be trying to go back.
