We are new to the area, coming from Everett, Ontario. It was our first time at Jack's. I have been in the service industry for over 30 years, server, bartender, GM/ MANAGER and now District Trainer FOH staff for a large chain of Restaurants. We were at Jack's November 30th. ALEX greeted us at the door and walked us to our table. She was chatty and extremely friendly and out going. SYDNEY came to take our order and explained how some choices were quite large and made a few suggestions! She knew the menu thoroughly and was so helpful and friendly!!! SYDNEY took our order, made sure our coffee was full, ALEX came by to check also on us. Our food came it was perfect, looked amazing and OMG IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! SYDNEY did a check after our first bite and made sure we were happy! BOTH girls checked and continued to chat with us! I have to say to the owner of this establishment you have two rare jems on those two young ladies, I watched them interact with every table in the restaurant that morning, and I am not easy to impress. THOSE TWO GIRLS ARE THE #1 reason we will be back!!!! AND DEFINATLEY THE FOOD #2!!!! WELL DONE, GREAT JOB TO THE KITCHEN STAFF also as if it weren't for their hard work the serving job wouldn't be able to do theirs!!! 20 out of 10 THANKYOU SEE YOU SOON!!!!

Only thing I I wish would change would be the size of the restaurant because the wait time can be somewhat long with the popularity Jacks has. But there will be no disappointment found here.

Wow, this is the place to go for breakfast! I had never been, but had heard lots of reports of a great meal. Walked in, asked if we wanted a booth or a table. We choose a booth. Before we could really have a look at the menu, a wonderful server came and asked if we wanted to have a drink. We choose coffee, it was bottomless and refilled many times. Just so you know cream, milk and sugar were filled and no need to ask for more. The menu has a so many choices, I had the Factory Omelette, without onions. Holy cow, it was a very full and fluffy omelette. I'm full, and if you knew me you'd be surprised. The platter, not just plate came with a fruit skewer.... yummy. I always choose rye bread for my toast, and as usual it too was yummy. I have had breakfast at many restaurants and even the USA.......gotta say I am impressed!!!!! So don't miss out on a great breakfast go soon and early, there was a line up to get in as we left. We were there just at 9am.

Just came from an amazing breakfast at Jack's Pancake Factory. I ordered the Greek skillet and chose to have my eggs scrambled. The food was extremely tasty and the side of tzatziki was the perfect added feature. The staff in there were very pleasant. I also have to say that the decor is beautiful, I love the unique shelves. All in all this was a fantastic experience and I will definitely go again.

Food is great, staff are friendly and they keep your coffee cup full. IF you are ordering something that includes pancakes, get them on a separate plate, unless you like syrup on your eggs and hash browns. The biggest complaint is that it is very noisy in there with the high ceilings, once people start talking, it is hard to hear your dining companion(s).

We tried it out today and it was really good! We tried Jack’s skillet, which was awesome, French toast, which was also great and the blueberry cheesecake pancakes. We were told this might be a lot of food and we definitely understood why when we saw the pancakes!!! They are huge! Definitely will be going here again but maybe getting two pancakes instead.

I was drawn to Jack's by the ads on Facebook. Pretty decent breakfast place, but nothing special. I had the Lumberjack and it was ok. My main suggestion is to serve the pancakes on a separate plate. Some people like their sweet and savory separate, and the whipped cream ran into my eggs and then onto the table :/. I'd come back if I am in the area, but won't seek it out.

Hadn't been there before decided to go one day when our usual breakfast spot was closed. They open early which is great. Staff were awesome and the food was not only great but there was lots of it! First time out for breakfast post pandemic & although there was no wait we still waited almost an hour for our meal, had no cutlery or condiments (until we asked) & barely seen our server for coffee refills, or to take dirty plates. With a large party we would of appreciated the extra table room opposed to stacking plates. Staff need a personality check. Not one “good morning how’s it going” anything it was menus slapped infront of us, not a smile or anything and a waitress who just stood hovering while we were give like 5 minutes to look at the menu. While waiting for our food we watched two waitresses hover over a table and I mean literally standing almost in the booth waiting for this family who had just finished leaving. There were tons of tables available. Even the family there said they felt pressured to rush and get out. Haven’t even received our food yet but just from the atmosphere alone we will not be back. For such a small restaurant you need a more friendly atmosphere. Oh... and for coffee lovers.... it’s not worth it. Edit: got food.... so salty I had to drink an entire glass of water. Couldn’t finish the food. Such a waste. Brought it to the waitresses attention and she said “ oh our food isn’t salty.. must be you”.

I was getting my car serviced at the Mitsubishi dealer on Mapleview and decided to go across the road for breakfast at 10am Tuesday August 21 When I entered the door the host was having a problem seating 4 people. She found seating for them so I waited for her to seat me as I was alone. As I waited, a group of 4 walked in behind me. The host walked past me and asked them how many was in their party and gave them 4 menus and told them to come on in as she had seating for them right away She payed no attention to me, even when she had to move to walk around me in the small entrance area. She made no attempt to even speak or look at me. I can’t help but feel I was passed over for a better sale or that I was ignored as I am First Nations and a visable minority. I don’t know, but as a manager in the customer service business I would certainly review policy with any of my staff in a similar situation I left the property without an explanation or comment from the host that was obviously in charge of seating guests as they arrive.

I've come to this restaurant a few times as the food and service is pretty good. However I'm disappointed at the amount of plastic waste for a sit down restaurant. Plastic straws in every cup and fruit served in plastic ramekins with plastic lid. Do your part and cut down on the waste!

Wanted breakfast and saw Jacks had such high reviews and an extensive menu so decided it was worth the drive. I got the Greek breakfast skillet and was so impressed with the quality and insane portion for price. It legit felt like 3lbs of food, and I barely made a dent in it. Generous amount of gyro meat, the home fries were seasoned well, I love that they cooked the tomatoes that came with it as well as I prefer cooked over raw. It also came with scrambled eggs and it looked like it was about 5 eggs worth. For $13.99 you just can’t beat it! Definitely a breakfast I’d split with someone next time that’s for sure! I now have the rest to eat for dinner later. Only thing I’d ask for is more tzatziki, it was so delicious!! Definitely didn’t feel guilty eating this hearty breakfast, didn’t feel oily or like I was eating something bad for me. Staff were very friendly, can’t wait to come back again when they’re fully open!

Where to start, wow I'm normally very picky about going out for breakfast as I tend to think it's a bit overpriced for what you get on the plate. Jack's changed my view on that. The pancakes are amazing the portions and taste of the breakfast is great and topping it off with a cup of fresh fruit. Portions are good and always end up with left overs to take home. Very sad about this covid situation and hope a good place like this is able to stand strong

It’s amazing food and great portion sizes. The waitress we had was incredibly friendly. Such a shame that the front door teens working aren’t as good as the cooks or waitresses. First they refuse to give you a rough estimate of how long it could be. Not even a range (like 20-40 mins), they refused. Then they put your name in a line and ask for your full phone number. Which is a good idea, because you can go to your car to wait for them to call you when your table is ready! Except, they don’t call you. They expect you to wait outside in the heat for your turn. Why even take down our phone Numbers then?!?! After 45 mins waiting in our car without a call from them telling us that our table is ready, we started to get a feeling that our table should have been ready already. So we go inside and ask how many more are ahead of us, and they said that they called our name 4 times already over the past 20 mins or so!!!!! First of all, if it’s only gonna be 20ish mins for a table, why can’t you tell us it won’t be more than half hour?! And second, why did you take our phone number if you aren’t gonna call it when our seat is ready?! And maybe after the second time calling our name, perhaps someone should have had the idea to call our phone?!?! And third, the guy was like “you have to wait outside the door” when we asked about our table. Nobody told us that we have to wait outside the door. Management needs to hire teens who actually care, or train them better. Because even though the rest of the service was great and the food was delicious, the poor work ethic of the girl and guy at the front door left a horrible taste in our mouths the rest of the meal. Won’t be returning now. Cora’s breakfast is just up the street...

Loved it! Had a family brunch, ordered the Eggs Benedict Skillet and man was it ever tasty, not to mention huge! Left with enough for another meal. The potatoes (home fries) could have been a litte thinner and cooked a little bit more, but the flavour was nice, and the potato patties that the leftovers made were out of this world, which made up for it in my opinion!

On the road- great stop for brunch. They are extremely busy but very well organized so they get you seated with only a short wait. Service by Nicole was friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. And portions are very generous! We ordered one Senior special with eggs, one bacon, one sausage and a fruit cup for only $6.99 and one junior lumberjack which also included a large pancake with whipped cream and syrup and home fries which we shared @ $9.49. So plenty of food for both for about $8 each. Coffee is extra @ $1.99 and they refill frequently. The restaurant is conveniently located in a plaza off Essa Road on the way into Barrie with easy access to the 400.

After reading so many good reviews on this place we decided to give a try . The hostess who welcomes us either a racist or narcissist , never welcomed us or validated us . I quickly gave the order for take out . She never wrote it down . I assumed she has a sharp memory. She asked me to come back in 20mins but when I went back the order has been misplaced she said casually and it would take another 20mins ! In this era age , don’t you think recruiting a neutral cheerful or pleasant person would be so much better than recruiting a racist as your front liner ? Or All these reviews are from caucasians ? Whichever it is , my money or time is not good on this place ! I see other bad reviews includes similar complaints and for rudeness of staff but looks like owners don’t care much . Owners , change your story on “ about us “ . You are not happy to serve everyone . You are just happy to serve particular group . Mention that specifically , so we can stop looking at good reviews and spend our hard earned money somewhere else where they accept all kinds of humans !

My wife, my self and my mother in law visited today. We received our food at around 11am. I very much enjoyed the skillet while my wife and her mother loved the pancakes and French toast. Word of warning: come hungry. By 7pm I was still full and I have a large appetite.

This is a GREAT place to eat Breakfast, Lunch or just Brunch! The prices are incredibly low for the HUGE amount of food you get. Weekends are always packed with people but you don't usually have to wait too long for a table. Weekdays are best for me. No waiting in line at all. Jacks pancake factory is one of the best breakfast restaurants I've been too in barrie/innisfil/Bradford. Honestly Loved It!! Our breakfast was delish and our whole family devoured everything!! Just one small complaint is they put their fruit in little plastic solo cups with a lid. Nice I guess if you want to bring it to go, but I feel like a ramekin or even just putting it on a side plate would be more eco friendly. My daughter complained about it for the whole breakfast and honestly she has a point. Other than that it was awesome and we will definitely come back. I've suggested to all my friends to go try it!! The pancakes are amazing but so was everything else.

Been coming here every Saturday and Sunday since they opened. The service is unbeatable. Very friendly and quick to take your order. Went on Sunday for breakfast about 10 am. Busy lined up so we waited no more than ten minutes. Even though busy they had enough staff to handle it and the service was tops. We had our food and were on our way in under an hour. The food was wonderful and good portions. Will sure be back soon.

Oh my baby Jesus, the portion sizes here are huge! The omlettes are made with 5 eggs and the pancakes are as big as my kids head lol. Want huge portions for a great price? Then check them out. Same owners that ran Flapjacks and Hot Stacks so you know the food will be awesome.

Breakfast with my boys this morning. Tried a new place and we were happily surprised with the selection, the price, the service, the generous quantity, and especially the quality of the food. Best "eggs benny" I've tried in a while. Connor got his with corned beef - Wow, good! Jack couldn't even finish his pancakes but he wanted to. So much strawberry goodness. If you like breakfast, you will love this place.

Tried this place for the first time today after seeing it was #1 in the "Top 6 Breakfast Restaurants in Barrie" on the Barrie Today Facebook page. The portions are absolutely massive and the price is super affordable. My wife and I had a difficult time finishing all of our meals, that's how much food there was. In comparison, that same meal at Cora's would have costs us about $70, after tip. Here at Jack's, my bill was under $40, inclusive of tip. The only two things they can improve on are the maple syrup and fruit. I don't think their maple syrup is authentic. It tasted like imitation, Aunt Jemima brand. Their fruit was good enough, but it comes in single use plastic containers. I don't think that's necessary. Otherwise this place is great! Will definitely return.

I had the Senior Special (no pancakes) and it was a bargain. Everything was made fresh and delivered hot. The fresh fruit that was part of the Special was definitely fresh, not the soft days old stuff that some restaurants serve. The service was great and there was no attempt to rush me out.

I'm thinking maybe I have already done a review on Jack's, but I feel the need to do another. I had lunch there today and it was frikken delicious. Greeting and seating was prompt, pleasant and well within Covid guidelines. I ordered Minestone Soup and a corned beef sandwich with a coffee. Everything was hot, fresh and, as mentioned, delicious! If you haven't already, you gotta try this place. Nicely done Jacks!

I had the junior lumberjack breakfast. It was very good. Lots of food in this meal. Real homefries cooked on top of the griddle, one breakfast sausage, one slice of bacon, two eggs, a large pancake and Texas toast for $8.99. Great service too. I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Went for the first time today, boy oh boy....we loved it. First we were greeted by a very happy hostess, she was genuinely glad to see us. We sat down at a very clean table and next another member of staff greeted us. Our food did take a bit of time but when it arrived it was amazing. The portions are very big you are constantly asked more coffee. To the owner,Well done it is now our favorite spot in Barrie.

Excellent breakfast. If you arrive before 9am on weekdays you can get their special at $5.99 that includes three eggs, two slices of toast and bacon or sausage plus home fries. Doesn’t include a drink though unfortunately - so coffee, etc. is extra. Otherwise well worth it though. Fast and friendly service! Would recommend.

I never thought after all these years I could be surprised by breakfast but Jack's manages to have a unique and great tasting menu. The farmers sausage comes with apple and fried onions which were fantastic, a great flavour combination Eggs Benedict with peameal was just smothered in the best hollandaise I've ever had And the portions are all huge, nobody is left hungry with mounds of perfect fried potatoes slices and the fruit skewers are generously sized with a fresh tasting mix of pineapple, grapes strawberries and melon. All in all my favourite breakfast spot ever

I came here on a Saturday morning, I was up in Barrie for business and needed to get some breakfast. Let me tell you this place is great! I have traveled many miles and ate at alot of restaurants, this is one that if I am ever in Barrie again I will go to. This place is run like clockwork, the servers are quick, the tables were cleaned as soon as people left. Came by twice for coffee top ups, the atmosphere is great its clean and modern.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt like this needed to be addressed. I’m a regular customer and recently I’m appalled at the treatment of staff by one of the owners. For example, this past weekend my husband and I were in for breakfast and witnessed the owner Renee yell across the restaurant at an employee which was disturbing as we were trying to enjoy our meal. As well we could hear her from the front of the restaurant yelling in the back at staff. The food at this restaurant is normally very good but you would expect the owner of all people to get our order right. Once it came out right it was done well. Overall I use to love dining at this restaurant but it seems to be declining shown by the horrid treatment of staff by management. I don’t know if I’ll be returning.

Tried this for the first time today and it quickly became our new favorite place to eat breakfast in Barrie. The portions are HUGE so bring your appetite! Service was prompt and very pleasant, they even moved us because the sun coming through the window was bothering me. Coffee refills were offered often. The food was hot and delicious.
