Only 4 stars because it can be a bit pricey, however, the quality and service are outstanding. Bagels are baked fresh daily, and with so many options it is a great place for bagel lovers! One of my favourite breakfast shops in Barrie.

Meh we were excited to try it for the first time, 1 of the workers didn’t greet us, made us feel uncomfortable bc it looked like their soul left them! Other worker was friendly but was in the back. Wanted to get a soup and bagel combo but the soup wasn’t even available and it’s midday.. not a large selection for 12pm I guess. Only had a few bagels available and limited cream cheese options too. Too pricey for what you get. Tim hortons makes their eggs fresh on the grill now and they microwave their eggs and bacon. Best to go to dons or Tim’s down the street for fresh eggs!

Not only are the bagels delicious, but they helped me through a really stressful time. I realized I forgot my cards at home just as I ordered. I'm not one to have digital versions of my card on my phone. I was panicking and thoroughly embarrassed. The cashier was amazing and helped me pay through an online source. Thank you so, so, so much!

Great for bagel lovers who want to sit down for a quick meal. Nice variety of bagels and sandwiches to choose from. Coffee is also available and seating. There is lots of free parking and it's located in a plaza with a grocery store and other shopping facilities. The staff is friendly and service is fairly quick.

I haven't been to one of these stores in a long time... Overall great experience.. staff were super friendly hand helpful.. lots of different types of bagels and lots of choices for cream cheese as well.. We found the pricing for regular bagels was very good, especially by the dozen or half dozen. But the specialty bagels were very expensive.. we ordered 2 anyway toasted with cream cheese and with nothing else it came to almost $11.. probably won't do that again. But will be back for a dozen regular bagels. The bagels we had were very good, super fresh and the cream cheese was very good as well.

Meh, they offer chili and soup, asked for either but wasnt available. The bagel sandwich i had was affordable but really nothing better than timmies or any other place. Very mediocre place honestly. The bagel was good but isnt worth the money or effort to get it over others.

My son and I go here for weekend breakfasts. Great selection, fast, friendly staff. Seating is limited so get there early for breakfast or lunch.

You may pay a little more for bagels with this merchant, but the quality and variety exceed anything you might buy in a grocery store. Wednesday is their 'dollar-off-a-dozen' day, offering the best value, and you can pre-order by phone, for best results. Nice offers for eat-in specials also - however, universally, their coffee is viewed as sub-par. In that part of Barrie, you have Tim Hortons & Starbucks competing nearby as coffee specialists (play big or stay home). We use GCB strictly for bulk purchases of bagels.

The bagels were good and they had a really neat selection. We ate in and the staff weren't very chipper. I think I would just get their cold bagels to prepare at home next time.

You haven't lived until you have tried these bagels ! Warning it will ruin all other bagels for you because they are the best ! I have been eating here for over 10 + years and still never disappointed. If your in barrie I highly recommend this place ! They have fresh bagels everyday and also they make their own cream cheese ! The people there are professional and nice and the owner is the best he's super friendly. I travel from Calgary to barrie for work and to visit home and everytime I come home he always comes out to say hey and chat with me its always a lovely experience. Thanks for the great service guys and amazing bagels !

The bagels are great, but the past 2 times I went in (between 9-10am) they had less than half their selection available. While sat in my car trying to figure out what to do for breakfast, saw 3 other customers go in and walk out empty handed, presumably for the same reason.

I can see why so many are going out of business. We were super excited to stubble upon this one but rude /apathetic staff and subpar bagels. Their cream cheese was the only enjoyable thing about our visit and even that was over priced.

This used to be my go to place, until yesterday morning when I went to order my usual. was greeted by a entire new staff with a 3 dollar price hike as well. They informed me that they let the regular staff go (mind you they have been there for a very long time) always HAD a great time going in there. so much for Great Canadian bagel more like Great Asian bagel.

Bagels were awesome, different from getting some in the grocery store. Service was horrible though. My girlfriend and I ordered a sandwich, but wanted extra tomatoes (since our one tiny slice on the sandwich already wasn't enough), and they told us they had run out. No more tomatoes for anyone for the rest of the day apparently! Continued on to order a salad. They kept the lettuce in water, but didn't bother drying them off AT ALL, so the dressing they put on ended up getting washed off to the bottom of our plate. And as we were sitting down with our watery salad and sandwiches that weren't made to our liking, the worker brought out a huge tub of tomatoes, like seriously? They could have at least waited for us to leave the shop. Horrible customer service, and we've been telling all our friends not to go there.. hope you don't ruin an outting/money on this place.

Love Great Canadian Bagels !! I will never understand why way too many of them have closed down. The options of bagel flavours are plenty, selection of different cream cheeses delicious and coffee passable (but better than TH) with regular, decaf and flavoured options. Highly recommended.

LOOOOOVE grabbing breakfast from here, or a bag of bagels for home, or both! ProTip: Western Sausage Supreme + Bacon on Cheddar-Jalapeno w. butter, little bit of salt & LOADS of black pepper.. It will fill and wake you up like no other! Plus, the rear-kitchen is all window on the restaurant side, so if they have the machine going to stock their inventory you can literally watch the bagels being made, it's very interesting!
