** 1 year edit - Still 5/5. This place ROCKS! ** Definitely my new "spot". If you're in town, and have a soft spot for Harry Potter or retro toys, this place is a must. Fantastic coffee (and I'm pretty picky about my coffee! Lol), and great treats. The decor I can't even explain, it's amazing. You literally can have a coffee with flying chairs above your head and vials of love potions and dragons blood beside you. They have ambient music, which fits their theme perfectly! Seriously all. So good. There's couches with a faux-fireplace, and a quiet place in the back where you can chill and have a bit of privacy. (Back room may or may not be haunted) So, stop by and buy your favourite Harry Potter wand. Grab some cake and coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. As a final note. I have met the staff, and I have to say. They are the most friendly people you'd ever meet. Great conversation and wonderful service. You all need to stop by!

My friend told me about this wonderful place that mixed Harry Potter and Coffee. I told him it couldnt be done! Then he brought me to Freaky Wizard! I was blown away by everything! The staff is so kind and the food/drinks was delicous! I loved every second of my time there!

Visit September, 2021 to the Freaky Wizard. Wonderfully appointed / decorated and the defacto capitol of pop culture in Barrie. Cafe has a lovely selection of hot & cold drinks, treats and desserts. Great play area up front as well as a large party room. Excellent selection of games, action figures, vintage toys and much more. Something for every fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars, LotR and other pop culture fans. Reasonable prices. Great owners.

Came to check out what this new place was all about, we were welcomed warmly by the owners and after a small conversation they showed us around. It's a very modern and spacious place with many great decor, plenty of tables and chairs so if you want to hang out they also have a shelf full of boardgames or you can lounge and relax in their cozy chairs and fireplace area. They offer a convinient selection of pop and juices for now and what looks like a future cafe bar that will be serving magical drinks and potions.. As you head to the back there's a retail area, a gold mine for some one of a kind pieces of toys and collectables that will bring many fond childhood memories , pure nostalgic feelings???? This establishment is a definite must see and I guarantee you'll be returning I don't have a hard wiener like the review below but I can definitely relate and share that it softened my cookie ????

This Hidden Gem is one of my favorite spots in Barrie. I've brought my family here for a fun board game night. The kids love it. I've brought many friends here as well to play board games or rent the back room for some DND. It's the perfect setting for it. They have lots of unique drinks, some food and snacks. Everything taste delicious. Now the staff and atmosphere are 10/10. The owners and staff have put there heart and soul into this place. They also have a small shop for vintage toys as well as great gifts. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place and could talk about it for hours. If your in the area and tired of doing the regular outings I couldn't recommend this enough.

Rented the party room at Freaky Wizard on Bellfarm Road in Barrie for my birthday! We did a Halloween/witch theme party in July and honestly it was such a blast. This is honestly our favourite place to go for coffee, treats, and to just totally nerd out with our people! You can go here and play board games and card games too while you enjoy a Harry Potter inspired specialty beverage! Please go and check them out! Every single detail is so perfectly crafted.
