Food was decent. We'd go back. Went with my kids and they ate everything. Good sized portions. I had a chicken sandwich with soup and kiddos had grilled cheese and chicken fingers.

One of if not the best places I have ever had breakfast all at extremely reasonable prices. Food presentation was amazing, quality was matched and service was friendly and welcoming. All delivered in a timely manner this restaurant is a must see on Dunlop street.

They have glass walls separating each inside booth/table to maintain social distancing. Barrie has gone downhill for breakfast diners but this one is still pretty good. Nice staff, decent food. There is a patio as well, though we chose to eat inside due to an insane amount of wasps.

Excellent change from the old players restaurant that was part restaurant part convenience store.. service was prompt and cheerful. Food was hot and good. They open at 7am. You can park for free on main Street til 9am, so if you go early you don't have to pay for parking.

This is truly the best breakfast around. The unique flavours on traditional fare is definitely worth a visit. Two items you don't want to miss are the baked beans and the home fries. Two simple items you can get just about everywhere, but not like this. The beans have a perfect texture and the rich sauce is incredible. For the home fries, I would guess these are double cooked: First baked (or boiled), cooled and cracked, not cut. This creates so much more surface for flavour when it is fried. Now just imagine what they can do with eggs, pancakes, veggies, bacon and toast. (Say 'locally made jams and hot sauce'). You won't get a better, fresher, more unique blend of flavours. Pic is the California Omlette (Aged white cheddar cheese, cherry tomato and avocado salsa, beans, toast and home fries). It is always more than I can eat. P.S. The atmosphere is friendly, like their staff. Amanda (the chef), Heather, and Karen were main-stays of normality over the pandemic. I am so happy you are still in business so we get to see your smiling faces (behind your masks) and share some laughs.

Amazing eggs benedict; my friend and I ordered the "Holy Cow" and there was so much that neither of us could finish it, as much as we wanted to. The homestyle fries were crispy and satisfying.

Yummy food and friendly staff. Hubby ordered eggs with peameal bacon, sourdough bread, home fries and a pancake (not pictured). He really enjoyed everything on his plate. I ordered the beef brisket grilled cheese with home fries which also came with a delicious coleslaw and a pickle. We would both get our dishes again!! It was all fresh and tasty. We look forward to coming back in the future.

This might be the best breakfast place in Barrie. They have an extensive list of very creative Benedicts. I recommend the phylo brie Benedict! They also have a great variety of daily soups. I had a cheddar beer and jalapeno soup that was a delightful a addition to the meal.

I have yet to have a bad meal at Dunlop St Diner! I got the cheeseburger hash and it was fantastic, their home fries hit it outta the park! The french toast was also super tasty!! Definitely my favourite downtown Barrie brunch spot.

We were two couples and our two dogs, and thus was our first visit to "Dunlop Street Diner". After some negotiations we were allowed to sit on the patio with our dogs who sat quietly beside our chairs. Our server and the other staff were very friendly and pleasant. We placed our orders and our meals arrived quickly altogether. One of the servers was nice enough to bring a bowl of water for our very hot dogs who appreciated the gesture. We were all pleased with our food and the service we received. We would highly recommend the "Dunlop Street Diner". Great food, service and location. ????

My husband band I came here on a Saturday morning around 11:15am. The hostess was really kind and helpful. We did have a bit of a wait and were probably sat around 11:50 so keep that in mind when you come. But there's definitely a reason it's so busy! Our server was helpful with her menu knowledge. I got the Notorious P.I.G. and wow it was incredible!! Apparently the peanut butter scares people off from getting it but it was honestly such a delicious compliment to the dish!! Honestly one of the BEST things I've eaten this year!! My husband got the Southwest Bandit Benny. He really liked it too! We both got the poutine with tater tots. While I was eating I thought their poutines are just tots with hollandaise because that's all I seemed to have on my plate. But then right at the end all the cheese curds were clumped and melted at the bottom. My husband's was the same. I donno how to avoid that but it took away from the poutine a bit. Next time I would just get a side of tots and hollandaise because that was delicious!

My mom and I went for breakfast Wednesday morning and we had the most wonderful server- i think her name was Sasha. She was so kind and friendly and the food was amazing! It isn't easy working in retail/food industry during the pandemic but kindness goes a long way so thank you Sasha for making our experience so great!

Great food and the patio was so pretty! It felt great to be there on a Saturday morning during Open Air Dunlop when the road was closed. The beans and sauce in the huevos rancheros were a little sweet for our taste, but the meal was still good. Loved the homefries!

This is hands down my favourite breakfast place in Barrie. They make the best eggs Benedict with the most options. Some of the options are really creative. The O.M.Brea is my favourite. Their homemade jam is amazing and the service there is wonderful. I highly recommend!
