Cute spot in Barrie. Staff were friendly and we felt safe from a COVID perspective. Weekends during the day is a very modest brunch menu. We ordered coffee, the bennie and fried chicken waffles and everything arrived cold and bland. The bennies were overcooked and the ciabatta was rock solid. Despite that, I honestly wouldn’t mind giving dinner/drinks a try if I’m ever in the area again, but a polite pass on brunch.

Edit: Returned here a late Saturday afternoon with the same friend but we left a little disappointed. We ordered the brie dip, which was tasty, but it also had cream cheese in it which was not in the description. We ordered the same cocktails we'd enjoyed the first time but instead of coming in their individual glasses they just came in regular identical glasses. Maybe the person at the bar was less experienced, but it's a little less impressive when your drink comes in the same kind of glass you'd have orange juice in. I'll still come back hopefully my next visit is a little more like the first. A friend and I came here on a Thursday evening for cocktails and snacks and we couldn't have been happier!! The garlic melt baguettes were so delicious and flavorful, cheese on the charcuterie platter were fresh. My friend loved the Track 0.3 (the sip I had made me consider one too!) and both the Show Royale and warm Boozy Cider were delicious. Beautiful decor and mood, comfy chairs, clean and nice. Definitely coming back, perfect for a girl's night or date night or special occasion dinner!

Terrible service, good food The waitress took a long time to bring our first drink and then to take our order. And then she ignored my requests re no meat or cheese and kept bringing me dishes with it on after I had explained I am a vegan. Then she left us with dirty dishes for a long time. At that point we had been there over 2 hours and just wanted to go. When I asked for the cheque she went back to drying glasses behind the bar until I waved her down and asked for the cheque again. Just really inattentive and obtuse.

Lovely decor but way overpriced! Coffee is served in a very small cup and unless you're a vegetarian dont bother to go. My pumpkin spice muffin was tasteless. I wasnt informed it was vegan...baked without eggs & sugar...tasteless.

We were here for the first time for date night, and we will definitely be back regularly. A gem of a place! Highly recommended!

Wow! What an amazing food experience. The chef, who earns that title, completely changed the main mussel dish from a cream to a tomato-based sauce that was incredible. My friend had a colliflower pizza crust that was so light and fluffy (can you send us the recipe?!). The service was professional and friendly. The decor is great, right down to the dishes (we might order them). GF, V, DF options.

The interior is stunning and if we were just rating aesthetics alone, I would have given 5 stars easily. I found the service quite cold and unwelcoming, but that may just be because the person working behind the counter was talking to what seemed to be a friend who was also at the counter (as a patron). I very much felt like I was awkwardly interrupting. Cappuccino was standard.

This is definitely a hidden gem. I had a delicious muffin that was vegan and a coffee. Found the coffee to be bitter, and not as hot as it should be. However, the staff and atmosphere were great. Definitely going back and probably will try a dinner there

Used to be a regular; love the menu, atmosphere, and staff!! But extremely disappointed in the new reservation process. Don't see the need to require credit card information; an annoying and over the top thing to ask for. A $10 charge for cancellation is seems unreasonable. This is all just my personal opinion, but I'll be finding a new local restaurant to support and enjoy.

It was a gloomy day and I felt like I needed a pick me up. I ordered a latte and a chocolate croissant and it was amazing! The latte was creamy and delicious and the chocolate croissant was still warm inside! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, it’s very clean and the atmosphere is Great any time of day!

Decided to try this place out after I walked by one day on a trip to visit a lawyer in the building above . It's got an amazing atmosphere like you'd find in NYC or Chicago . The menu had so many creative and inviting options it was hard to choose. I settled on the Pollo Loco Bowl . I was amazed at the depth of flavour . It was extremely healthy and surprisingly satisfying as can be . I will be back to try other dishes . This is a great place to meet for coffee or a quick tasty lunch in Downtown Barrie. I would recommend it without hesitation .

Had coffee and pastries at the Common Good today for the first time and, after a quick glance at the lunch menu, will definitely be back for lunch. There is a nice selection with a couple of vegan options. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. A very sophisticated addition to downtown Barrie!

Such a wonderful place. I had a lovely experience dining here today. Dining here was one of my first experiences back out and Common Good had excellent Covid measures in place. I felt safe and relaxed. Such great coffee and food. The staff and service was awesome too. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to sit and relax with a coffee or sit and get some work done.

The food was very good as usual. Portions are not large, so be prepared to order appetizers. A few little issues...some beyond their control, some not. Small issues...timing for the table when we had a reservation and missing portions from the skewers. Food was good and service excellent. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Ate here a few times and will be back for more.

Very nicely decorated and appointed space. A nice selection of beverages and food offerings. They bent over backwards for me...Damn Chemo diet! They crafted an aioli and vegee crudite plate. The ladies ordered a tapanade platter it looked good! The only comment was that the salt was a little too liberally used. Will be back...when I can eat and taste normal food!

Just here for the day, but a nice setting on the outdoor patio and friendly attentive service. Great selection of cocktails and mocktails. I enjoyed the chicken roulette in mushroom sauce with cauliflower rice. Portions are not ridiculously huge like some places. Would certainly recommend ahead of big chains like Red Lobster or Moxies.

You think this food looks good? You should see how it tastes! Common Good is a delicious cafe with a great, cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for a full meal or just a coffee and dessert this is the place for you. Several gluten free and vegan options, bursting with local flavour, and a menu that includes seasonal fruits and veggies. Our server Taegan was fantastic and sociable. I really couldn't recommend this place more!
