Drove past on our way back to Toronto from camping at Lake Saint Peter and my foodie spidey senses tingled as I drove by. I stopped a block down to pull over, turn my phone data on to check the reviews, saw how everyone raved about the burgers and big crunch and turned around and I'm so glad we did! My boyfriend and I loved it. We also had been eating veggie while camping so I'm sure indulging in meat again was great but the burgers were MASSIVE and so so delicious along with the fries and salad which we couldn't even eat because we were full from just the burgers! You can tell the husband and wife duo extraordinaire care about their food and customers. There are picnic tables to eat outside during these covid times and I highly recommend you eat here!!!

Awesome food and even better customer service. We showed up with not much notice with a group of 22 that was initially supposed to be 12. They sat us all without issues and despite the group size served us very quickly. Would definitely go again. Prices are very very fair.

Excellent! Pleasantly surprised! We had some vegetarians with us... Asked what was in the menu to accommodate them... The owner I'm assuming also the cook... Came out from the back said he could make us a few things, which was awesome... We stuck to the menu tho.... Cajun and brown sugar wings WOW amazing, fries are great, fish and chips, pan seared and battered, battered mushrooms, potatoe ball.... Everything was delish!!! No complaints at all. Thank you for accommodating us if need be.

This was our first visit and definitely will not be our last! My food was brought out to my car, hot and fresh! It tasted amazing! I got the chicken roasted with loaded fries and OH MAN, it was delicious! The chicken was slightly bigger then the bun which made it a little messy to eat - but that is my only negative thing about this whole and it wasn’t even a problem! I am so pleased!! My husband got the hot beef and he was equally as pleased with his food! We were there fairly close to closing time and ate in the parking lot, they closed before we were finished so I couldn’t go back in and thank the chef but I wanted to! Well done!! Next time we are in Bancroft we will be back!

My partner and I went out for brunch and found Eagles Nest Diner on google as the highest reviewed diner in the Bancroft area. When we walked in, there was sanitizer available at the door and there were tables spread out around the restaurant which was following the standard of covid protocols. Our hostess was very gracious and friendly when we ordered. I asked her if I could substitute the choice of meat side for a coleslaw side, as I am a vegetarian and she told me I could. I also asked her if she could substitute the regular bread slice for a gluten free slice and she told me she would double check if they had any available, as they offered that option during regular season. Thankfully, she came back with my order and it tasted AMAZING. I would 100% recommend the **gluten free bread** at this restaurant as it is fresh, fluffy and homemade and tastes like nothing you have experienced before!! My partner received a very generous portion of a sandwich called "The Big Crunch" which is a fried chicken sandwich with spicy mayo and a few toppings. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the summertime to try new menu items. I recommend Eagles Nest Restaurant because it is a hidden gem!!

We have heard so much good about eagles nest and wanted to go in and have breakfast even though it was after 12 noon, the day before we were in when nobody was there and the owner and the employee indicated the breakfast would be served until they were out of eggs later on in the day. So we came in around 1 p.m. on a Sunday and asked for breakfast and the owner was all stressed out and running around and give my wife, myself, and another couple that was with us attitude and we were all very uncomfortable and where about to leave because of the rude comments from the owner. Then our friend came in and was about to sit at our table when the owner came over and told us that if she had known that this person was going to join us she wouldn't have treated us the way she did and apologized profusely but the damage was already done. I did enjoy the food however my wife was as upset more so then I was at the rude greeting from the owner and she did not enjoy her meal and I'm not sure I could talk her into going back to the establishment once again. It is unfortunate but we felt that people that were from out of town were treated differently than the people that where locals or regulars.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The owner is extremely rude and completed unapologetic when THEY messed up my order, I ordered the peach chicken and received some greasy fried chicken instead. When I mentioned it to the owner she basically said that's not what I asked for and it's not her problem. Don't do it folks check out ANY other restaurant first.

BEST restaurant in town, GREAT value, very family friendly, only restaurant I trust with feeding my infant, NO from-a-box junk that costs you +$20/plate, however I recommend trying to spend +$20/sitting as you'll definitely be, full, satisfied, and taking home some quality eats :-) It is a small place with few hands on deck, but that's part of their charm :-) I recommend calling ahead for availability

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. I always ordered their BLT sandwich with fries. Used to be a good size sandwich with thick slices of tomato, lots of bacon and crisp lettuce. Today my sandwich was like I had ordered from the kiddy menu! The sour dough bread slices were taken from the end of the loaf......so very small. There was one paper THIN tomato slice that didn't even cover half the sandwich. Tiny bit of bacon and lettuce..... AND half the fries I used to get. Such a disappointment! They either need to have a talk with the cook, hire a new one or start loosing customers.

I am a bit of a foodie and so picky about quality I can honestly say that the breakfast I enjoyed here today was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The food tasted like your mama made it. I had the eggs Benedict on the freshest baked biscuits that completely melted in my mouth omg. The French toast was also excellent. My boyfriend had eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, rye toast and he also raved over the flavour and freshness! If you want a real breakfast this is the place. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu. Thank you!

My friends and I were a bit sceptical about the outside appearance, looked like a mom and pop chinese food joint. But, PLEASE DO ENTER! Gorgeous, comfy, modern/rustic furnishings. Owned and run by husband and wife, HOW ROMANTIC! She is lovely and he is brilliant! The food is above par. I got the stuffed fish and sweet potato fries. My friends got: Hot beef sandwich and poutine. Spicy Peach Chicken. Beef Yorkshire Pudding and salad Everything is home cooked! Everything is freaking delicious. I was having a serious, "Harry Met Sally" moment, eating my meal, and my friends won't let me live it down! Hahaha! The portions are massive, in the best way! I was recommending the Eagles Nest to everyone I walked by while I was in Bancroft. I recommend it to you and everyone. I would eat there EVERY MEAL, while in Bancroft.

2019.04.07 bonus of road trips.. stopping in some small restaurants along the way. This was a nice find of home cooked meals! If you’re ever in Bancroft or passing through, you gotta eat here. #EaglesNestRestaurant • Loaded Potato bites - mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese, Rolled in panko and fried, served with a mildly spiced sour cream • Swiss burger loaded with mushrooms and all the fixings Servings were big and I could only eat half the burger. Interior is cozy and homey, washrooms at the entry way, which is at the rear.

We get to Bancroft at the end of September every year, and have tried most of the restaurants in town. This was our first time at the Eagles Nest, and were not disappointed. My wife had the fish and chips which she said was one of the best she ever had, and I had the hot chicken sandwich which was also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal with generous portions..As a side note; The Apple Crumble and the Date Squares are amazing!

Great food, great service, great prices, and great atmosphere! I had fish and chips. The chips were fantastic and the fish was well cooked. My partner enjoyed peach chicken and said it was the best food he ate this year! We will definitely be back. We wanted to go again for dinner on Sunday but it was closed. You know it's good when you want to eat there two days in a row!!!! We were super happy with the prices and value.

Small family restaurant in Bancroft. Total hole in the wall. Service was great. Food was incredible. Big crunch chicken sandwich was AMAZING and the burger was surprisingly great considering the location. Parking can be tricky in the back. Restaurant is a bit small inside. Would definitely recommend if you're in the Bancroft area.

Was in for dinner yesterday after a long day of ice fishing in the area. I forget the name of the burger I had, but it was MASSIVE. Definitely the best burger I've ever had. Will be back again on the next trip up to Bancroft!

I was impressed by this quaint lil dinner. The cheese burger I had was on point! Best I have had in a long time. The skin on fries from scratch were very tasty too. Great service.
