People aren't kidding in the reviews. They dont wear gloves, nobody washes their hands, employees slow as molasses. Its quite the sight to behold. I give this place a 3 star review because at least you can go there specifically to get sick and sue them for not following food safety standards. It also makes for a good show when you're in line at the gas station, you can watch and see just how cringe worthy the broken regulations are. Its pretty gross, keep an eye out for it next time you're in the petro, you'll see! You want hear water running even once, ans you wont see gloves, so clearly there are some germs flowing here

I have never used the A & W app, which i had to download to order lunch today. In the end, i was pretty impressed. I ordered 2 '65Buddy burgers and a Teen burger combo. I am impressed that you can add/remove ingredients, make your order quite custom. I didn't want the sauce and i changed my bun to the multigrain one. All 3 of us made changes to our order. Everything came perfectly as we ordered it and piping hot! A plus in my books! Lots of options and i liked the real ingredients: lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, who does that?!, and the little lovely crispy apple pies. Perfection in fast food! The online app ordering went well and was easy to do. I did have to take the time to download the app, sign up, create an email/password thing then i could order.. pick your location and order. The app knew how long it would take us to arrive so our food was still hot. I liked that. Would definitely order again. The .50 upgrade for the multigrain bun was worth it. The bun had substance, was crispy and tasted very good. I was happy i chose it. The fresh lettuce, tomatoes etc were fresh and tasty. I skipped the special sauce and they got that right :) Our meal was hot and ready ontime and was exactly as i ordered it with napkins and dipping sauce and straws. All right ???? Was just nice to do a great take-out with all precautions taken, masks worn and great food at the A & W on Ninth Street in Cornwall, Ontario. Would highly recommend.

Not what you get if you think this will be "fast food". I have gone here several times, each time thinking the pace would be quicker. The food is exactly what you expect from A&W, but this has to be THE world's slowest drive thru. It's like they make every order after it has been placed.

The Beyond Meat burger tastes so good! It really tasted like a Beef Burger (although you can feel in your mouth that it is less oily). Staff in this location are very nice, too, especially the drive-thru staff. They are very polite and all smiles everytime we go here. Food has always been perfect. I like how they make steps to take care of the environment, too (plastic straws, grass-fed cows). I like A&W. :)

I'm not a fan of onion rings typically, but I love the onion rings here.When dining in, an A&W root beer in a chilled glass is always amazing, especially on a warm day. As usual, the food was delicious. What I didn't realise was that if you order the burger that's on special, you have to pay full price for everything else. Which means that even if the sign says "complete your meal" with onion rings for one price, you'll end up paying for your onion rings and root beer individually. So I ended up paying $1.20 more than what the sign said my combo should have cost. Still got the combo for cheaper, but they should be explaining this stuff up front. Oh Well!

Especially at night - I wonder if their staff actually care less because of how intoxicated people are late at night. In any case, that’s obviously no excuse. Great burgers, quiet atmosphere. If you're up early, try their breakfast sandwich. Easily one of the best in Corner Brook.

Came in during the midnight shift around 1 am and ordered 2 chicken wraps and a small root beer. The girl working the drive thru window was so unbelievably rude, zero customer service skills. She didn’t say a word to us, even when we said thank you, she just walked away. The chicken in my wraps tasted old, like they had been holding chicken and just threw it back in the fryer, which is weird because they shouldn’t be holding chicken at this time anyways. I love going to this location because I used to work here but I’m shocked at how someone like the girl working the drive thru even has a job at this point because of how rude she is.

I really like the food and service here for the most part. The coffee is like acid so avoid it at all costs and the drive through tends to park you in back even when there is no traffic behind you which I am not a fan of being parked.

Coffee was ice cold. Bacon and egger was cold and zero thought or care went into preparation of that meal. Soggy hashbrown.. even the napkins were balled up and then tossed in. Horrible.

I’m only giving one star because there is no lower option.. Worst product as end-result, I passed by today and waited over 15 min for two hamburgers, fries and 1 drink. If I had known that they were missing something or it would take over 5 mins I would have not gotten anything. There was only one vehicle in front of me at the drive thru.. When I finally got my order, guess what? The soft drink was bad (probably needed to be changed).. the fries & sweet potatoes were probably ready long before the hamburgers (so no good..). Anyways all of this to say that staff management needs to be improved, not enough staff for the clients/sales at night. Very disappointed..

Great food but a little expensive for fast food. Pro tip: there's always coupons available online, I will never pay full price for A&W ever again. Second pro tip! You can get red onions instead of white on your burgers. Third pro tip! Ask for seasoning salt on your fries, you won't regret it.

I really dislike giving negative reviews but, this place is struggling. Me and my wife decided to get out for a bite tonight and spent $30 here. The fries were cold, the meat was warm and clearly not fresh, as in way past it's time in the warmer. They put the wrong sauce their chubby Burger, twice! The people in the kitchen have bad English if any at all. This was at a time when there was no dinner rush, one person ahead of us in the line up seriously. I worked for A&W years ago. This location is no good..

Not really 24 hours. Cause apparently between 3am and 4am they gave all grills down. Well I wanted something to eat before work. Guess I'm going to mcdicks. Cause they leave a grill on so they can make food. Not tell the customer to come back in 30 mins. To the managers of this location. Would you wait 30 mins to place an order at a fast food restaurant? No cause at a sit in one you'd have your food by then. Start hiring people that have a brain and not couples that go into you back room and make out and I'm not only one to see this. But you guess just lost alot on my scale and seeing as you won't do anything to fix this you just lost a customer. And the rule of business kicks in here. One upset customer is acually 6-10 cause that's the number of people on average we tell of our experience. So more customer down drain cause someone thought let's do this all at once cause no one came in last night or any night. We expect the unexpected. Also if she to narrow it down was called to come help me then why didn't she wash her hands oh wait she knew she wouldn't be working.

One of the best A & W at this location, food is so fresh. I eat burgers and nuggets on daily basis and my favorite. They treat customers very well. All staff members are so kind. And their service is great. I have cravings for their food everyday. Must visit.

A&W has absolutely delicious fast food burgers and the service at the Cornwall location is quick, courteous and accurate! My order is always for plain burgers of whatever sort, so most fast food places screw it up occasionally, giving me an all dressed. I'm used to it, it is what it is, but I must say, A&W has one of the best records of being accurate with my plain burger!

My daughter picked up a Teen Burger combo with an upgrade to onion rings and Diet root beer. Making it a very costly combo. Cold burger. Cold and extremely hard onion rings and not root beer. All around very disappointed.
