REVIEWS OF Café Myriade - Le Plateau IN Asbestos

Alex Westwood

Not the biggest caf so not ideal for camping down with a laptop all day, but definitely the best coffee we had in Montreal. Super friendly staff, and cool vibes. We loved the reclaimed bench seating. If the weather is nice there is also a front patio to sit out on as well.

Chanez Az

Cool ambiance, good service, nice tea

Danny Steiner

Great spot with wifi, vegan pastries, and vibey music. Feels like a cool coffee shop in Brooklyn.

Anfernee C

Great spot for digital nomads. Fun staff, free wifi, power plugs, mocha is yummy and more affordable than other cafes in the city. Cool music (they're rocking Mariah Carey as I type this!).

Eugene Vin

Excellent coffee including today’s Ethiopian drip. Elegant and perfectly extracted. Simple good quality light bites to match. A definite recommendation in the Plateau district of Montreal.

Sophie McCarrell

Great Cortado, nice atmosphere, good wifi. Tables are too low to work comfortably. Also (small issue) cream cheese packets seem wasteful.

Étienne Ravary

Best café, staff and human beings.

[ David ]

Great coffee and nice atmosphere at this Plateau location. For some reason espresso was not as amazing as in other Myriad locations, but still great!

Jonathan Monro

Beautiful space. Friendly, expert baristas, terrific coffee, and perfect location. Love it here.

Chen Deng

Very cozy place for hangout.

Lucia Hargasova

Great great coffee. All you need for a great coffee shop

Brian's Coffee Spot

Le Couteau is a wonderful place. It’s spacious, full of light and the coffee is wonderful. The cakes are pretty awesome too. Like many of the places I visited in Montréal, the focus is firmly on the coffee, with little else to distract you, although there is tea and hot chocolate for those of that persuasion. At first glance, the wooden benches don’t look that inviting, but they are actually very comfortable, while the much sought-after window seats look ideal (I never got to try one since they were all taken). At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if I lived in Montréal, I’d be in here all the time (except I’d be in all other great places I visited as well; something of a dilemma!).

Stefan Kollenberg

Great coffee and croissant to start my day!

Romain Jolibois

I like the place! I like the Moka! It’s very welcoming and one of the very rare places where I can sit here for hours working on my laptop. Baristas are always kind to everyone! It’s never too noisy, and because summer is finally arriving, their terrasse is good plus ????????

Isaac Napoleon

Been there once ...definitely planning to go back...Nice modern decor, ambiance much more to discover!

Stephane Besson

I have been buying my beans there for 2 years now. Good advise everytime: I love their Retro espresso blend for latte.

George Giannou

excellent coffee, world class. Everything here is great, a must stop if you're in the neighborhood. They now also have juices and other beverages, so if coffee if not in your tastes for the day, there are other options too.

Michel Zeidan

Just a wonderful experience all around from the staff to the coffee to the atmosphere, etc. The decor is contemporary at its best and really inviting with lots of natural light. Don't pass on the opportunity to pass by and say hi to Chris the owner on the way.. He's really passionate about his craft and it shows!

Louie L

Good coffee. One of the best in the city

Ali Inay

Great coffee and equally amazing staff. My go-to place around Plateau as it's both great for study and to catch up with friends.

luc anthony

Not good for studying, but to have a nice time or relax date, meeting, interview, it would be a nice spot

Yuta Lee

Beautiful local cafe. Rustic modern design. Perfect place for an espresso on a beautiful day.

James Millen

Great coffee, nice atmosphere. Cool place, but not amazing.

Chris Berardi

Not the greatest especially considering other coffee shops around.

Louis Cormier

A nice café but the espresso is a little bit too sour. I recommend to have an americano or a latte instead.

Virginia Lee

Five great features of Myriad 1. Buttery pastries 2. Ample charging spots (good for those with laptops) 3. Ample natural light 4. Damn good coffee

Maxwell Polsky

Great 3rd wave coffee shop. Nice ambiance, well-rated flat whites, cortados , coffee and treats

Xu Yang

Such a lovely place, could stay there for hours, staff are so pleasant and genuinely friendly. The only thing that would be great to have is perhaps some cushions for the back ;)

Lisa

Good coffee, awkward seating that doesn't allow comfort and encourages a single person to take up a place for 4. A one of for me. There are better more comfortable places.

Angelique Caplette

Great Service, even a tea selection!

Cloé

Favorite local coffee place!!

Vitali T.

Good coffee shop with a good relaxed vibe. They offer tea and tasty pastries as well. But there’s no so much room inside as some seats are just uncomfortable working on them. Outside terrasse is available. Nice and clean restrooms.

Rentan TGLG

Very impressed by the cofee quality. Excellent

James Oakley

This place is great. Best Coffee in the Plateau and the staff are always a joy. Try the Iced Latte.

Lashan Ranasinghe

I got the mocha and it was so intense... It's like they dropped a block of the finest dark chocolate they could find into my coffee. I almost couldn't finish it. I wouldn't get the mocha because the taste of the chocolate is incredibly overbearing but i could definitely appreciate the quality of the coffee. It's very smooth which is hard to find in Montréal.

Gustavo Schiapim

One of the best place to take a 49th Parallel coffee

Michal Hacio

My favourite place in the area. Good place to sit and work !

Wenbiao Liang

Excellent coffee

Lena Ash

I love this place. The Cafe latté is as similar as it gets to the latté you get in Spain, just add sugar ???? The ginger honey lemonade infusion is a great boost for your body. I'm not a fan of ginger but this infusion is a perfect balance and really has a pick me up feel when you drink it. Basically it's hipster lemonade, and it's awesome ????

J Emmerson

Ideal coffee shop. The late art is awesome and the staff are friendly!

Julia O'Neill

Beautiful neighborhood spot. Warm and cozy feel.

Didier Landry

The decor hasn't changed much since this place was called 'Le Couteau'. The coffee is still excellent and there are still a lot of seats (but not a lot of tables).

Laetitia Fatela

Beautiful place - love decoration! Coffee is really good ????????

Luke White

A solid coffee chain

Samuel Rondeau-Millaire

Really good coffee, they usually serve 49th parralel

Aleh Remezau

My favourite espresso machine in this coffee shop. The coffee blend is fine, on the sour side, hipster, not my favorite. The atmosphere and location is super. Pretty quiet, music really creates a superb working mood.

An entrancing aroma delights the nostrils as you enter café Myriade . An equally desirable warmth radiates from within as you sip a mild, well-balanced fresh cup of java, or try a large unique refreshing cold brew on a nice day.

Oliver Harrison

Absolutely fantastic coffee, extremely friendly. Baristas are incredibly good.

Hassana Elzein

The coffee is good. I took an Americano and the place is good to have quick meetings. However the internet was really bad. I wan’t able to get connected on my cellphone and on the laptop it kept disconnecting. I wouldn’t really recommend the place for tasks which take concentration but for gatherings and socializing it is great. The staff is nice ????

Rebecca Lebowitz

Cute place! Seats not terribly comfy though. Tea was good!

Patricia Bravo

Cozy and relaxing place, you can go there alone or with friends, grab your computer, a cup of coffee and start to work. I like the variety of desserts they have there.

Jonathan Lahue

The coffee was so good! Incredibly pleasant to drink, and stood out to me compared to other places. It's a really nice place to work too. There's some big tables if you want to bring a laptop, and the WiFi and plugs are great! The bathrooms are also very clean, which is important if you're looking for a place to hang out and work all day. I'll be going back.

Talar Agopian

I love their cortado and carrot cake. I only wish that it was opened a bit later in the week.

Margaret Thatcher

Cozy and welcoming coffee shop.

Alex Walters

Great service, clean place, very tasty coffee

Liu Dambolena

One of my favourite coffee shops, especially because the place is all white and beautiful to have a cup of coffee or tea. Also their pastries are really good. Also, it's slightly bigger than other coffee places so you have more chances to get a spot. You can also profit their terrasse on sunny days.

vincent gripon

Good service and great hot chocolate!

Bruce Morgan

Not bad, good service, food tastes good

Esra Erol

Great coffee, great atmosphere. This is a perfect place to sit down, take it slow, and relax. In fact, you can bring a book or your laptop. It’s a great place to pass the time.

Brent Ellison

The coffee is good as usual but they rarely have the gluten-free snacks promised in the Google description.

Leila Rafati

Wonderful cafe with perfect coffee. The staff s are friendly.the only negative point is that there is limited options for cookies!Or it might be out of any cookies

Peter Chen

As much as I want to love this place, it's still a vestige of Le Couteau. The owners need to change up the furniture in the cafe; aside from the two proper tables, the rest of the cafe is unusable as the furniture are simply "decorative" pieces and not meant to sit on. Anyone who wants to converse with friends or get some work done will pass on this place and head to a functional cafe. That said, the people working there are friendly and I think the lowering of their prices compared to Couteau was noticeable by their clientele and appreciated as it more reflects the community here. Looking forward to potential future changes of the furniture.

Judi C

Great little spot. Very nice people. Good outside seating options.

Lucy HL

One of my favourite cafes! Not too obnoxious, good coffee, friendly service, and I love the seats by the window.

Catherine Toussignant

Bad internet connection! I was there for a work meeting but fortunately, the coffee was really good. I had a croissant with it. Buttery andjust delicious!

CAI GAN XIAN Lucas

Great coffee in the plateau. Nice vibes. Coffee tastes fresh. Nice staffs. Great services. My only concern is that the place is crowded. Hard to get a table

Tigh Loughhead

Quality coffee served with a hipster vibe. The patrons are most likely hunched over a Macbook Pro, but the espresso lacks all pretense.

Jonathan Fortin

Beautiful place decorated with taste. Great coffee. Polite and friendly service.

Ada

This place has such a great vibe, whether you come here to grab a coffee or to work on your projects. The coffee is delicious. In addition, they offer a nice selection of pastries. If you like the coffee, you can buy yourself a bag of grains. Really nice! Would highly recommend to stop by.

Mohammed “Dagz” AlGhamdi

Great place to work. Good selection of baked goods. But the main reason this place gets five stars from me is the AMAZING coffee they use for their espresso. More so, this is one of the very few places that serve you a real cappuccino; not the milked down versions all over the city. Classic cappuccinos with amazing coffee flavors. Wonderful!

Dino Cule

Coffee was excellent as was the background music. Nice relaxed modern vibe.

Hayet Choua

Love Myriade! And their coffee collection is the best ~

Eran Goldstein

Tasty coffee and pastries. Not a wide variety of things to eat ! One of the best coffee in the area, and as you probably know there is quite a large selection in town... You can also buy their own ground coffee beans blend

solstice Canada

What can I say? Their coffee is always so perfect. You have to go.

Jean-François Rochon

Great staff / baristas eager to prepare a nice cup of Java for you, in any declination. Streamlined, raw material decor. Lots of windows/ light, great terrace for sun soaking and free and fast wifi.

Jean-Philippe Laverdure

Great coffee served with a smile, what more can you ask for?

Amina Meniai

Cute minimalist cafe on St-Denis. Terrasse with roughly 7 little tables. Great coffee and delicious treats

Mostapha Bayaa

The place was packed mid-day on weekday so it is really popular. Great decor but very uncomfortable seating. Americano was sour, Earl grey tea was absolutely amazing (great aroma and taste).

Nicolas Duchêne

Great atmosphere here! The bean is on the green side, which I prefer when used in drinks, rather than on its own in an espresso.

Nader

Great coffee, not too many places to sit comfortably with a laptop, outside could use some shading (which would be perfect). I, personally, rate this place 3/5 cause of those factors, but I don't believe it deserves to be given less than 4 stars for what it is.

Lindsey Connelly

Comfy, chill vibe, good service. The mocha is amazing - not too sweet, good blend between the chocolate and coffee.

Jean Bui

Great coffee spot for a meeting or a chat with a friend or even to enjoy coffee alone. Sit outside and take in the St-Denis action or sit inside and unwind in the simple decor.

Juliette Payer

I took an iced americano (True coffee lovers can throw rocks at me), it was strong and delicious. The staff was nice, but the pastries were too expensive to give it a try (Even though I know Gluten-free stuffs always cost $$$).There's a lot of echo, so if you plan on having a deep conversation about your secret relationship, go somewhere else.

Jessie Morgan

Great quality coffee (I had a soy cappuccino), cute/modern décor, vegan options (delicious carrot cake!)... what more could you ask for from a café?

Bibi Ali

Another excellent Myriade on St Denis. How do they consistently find great baristas! I don't know but thank you for the coffee and the great cafe vibes.

Ethan Flowers

High quality ingredients, excellent selection of treats, friendly staff.

Tumange Orange

Visit this cafe every week, a nice place, nice vibe but the quality of coffee hasn't been very unstable like my stocks

Rob Nolte

Delicious cup of coffee! Definitely worth the trip over if you're a local or a visitor to Montreal.

Dan Theman

This place is serious about coffee. Each pour is made to perfection. Quality and consistency is what you find across all Myriad’s service points. A no brainer option if you’re around. Staff: 5/5

Christelle Groulx

Cozy, nice rustic cafe with friendly staff at the heart of downtown Montreal

William Marks

A second home/third office. Complete with excellent coffee, delicious pastries, and lovely staff! A must visit for a beverage at any time of day.

Jenny Bishop

Their house-recipe lemon, honey and ginger tea is the best we've ever had!

Melissa Escobar-Cornudella

Nice looking café, the 2 staff members that I meet were so nice and even let us take a photo of them so that my friend could use it on Google review. The coffee has great taste! The service is pretty fast. It is in a great location, where you can grab a coffee and walk down the street to check out other shops.

gaelle berton

Classy and quiet. A good place to work from

Matt Martinez

Has gone downhill somewhat in my last few visits. There is still promise but the espresso has lately been bitter and dirty-tasting. Pastries are still good and the coffee is not bad, but just not great like it used to be.

Scott Irvine

Excellent coffee and a really well designed interior environment with a nice patio that gets lots of sun. A deceptive amount of seating with several tables, and a couple of bars to sit/stand at as well. Really friendly staff too. You'll feel like a local here.

Lee Walder

Atmosphere and espresso are excellent here.

Vasi Galetus

Clean, elegant restaurant. Excellent coffee and food!

Tom Buck

With attention to detail, Myriade is consistently excellent regardless of the location. My visits to Montreal always include their cappuccino.

Ben D'Elpar

Great coffee, all the plants make me happy.
