Our family stayed a night above the restaurant, and took a couple of coffee breaks and breakfast in the cafe. Fine menu and cooking, good espresso based coffees, lots of books in the cheerful and busy dining room.

I was floored by the huge selection of teas! A cup of London Fog really hit the spot before a windy morning of bird watching. The food is all fresh, local and homemade. Order the hash browns and ask Philip about his raven :)

We stopped in a Phillip's Cafe while waiting for the Argentia Ferry back to Nova Scotia. It was a pleasure to walk into the warm & inviting shop and see a host of healthy options for us to choose from. Our food was well prepared and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and wonderful people The menu is small, but the lattes are perfect and the breakfast sandwich is so yummy! Linda gave us a small map of hidden attractions and spent a lot of time helping us get a place to stay for the night. All in all, a fantastic introduction to Newfoundland hospitality.
