As you know, we don't usually stop to set feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Bakery.
The coffee here is pretty good & the baked goods amazing so what a combo, right? They've got wifi plus you can also get onto Shaw go wifi if you're set up for that. In the summer, the patio fills up bright & early with people wanting to sip their coffee outdoors & enjoy the absolutely stunning view. You find The Other Bear Paw right across from the VIA Rail train / Brewster bus station so even if you only have 15 minutes in your journey through town, stop for a treat. Today we just ran in to grab a loaf of day old bread. Their bread is so yummy you have to get there pretty early if you want to grab anything day old. Their sourdough is legendary so looks like I'm just going to have to put in an order for some of that manna from the gods. But look at how happy Melody is running across Connaught Drive with her score, a loaf of bread, in hand.
Really tasty bakery that offers a great variety of things on the go. Coffee is great, pastries are even better and the bread is just unreal. Can’t wait to visit again.
Limited time wifi... 20 minutes per purchase... which makes no sense. People in Jasper are travelers that need wifi to plan their trip. And the wifi is so slow... Coffee was good and pastry too. Just fix that wifi limit which makes no sense in 2016. People aren't gonna spend their day here they mostly go hiking..
Good coffee and food! And really friendly staff.
Friendly staff, delicious coffee, great menu options!
They have a few gluten free selections. The coffee was good. Be warned if you are a slave to Starschmuck's this will be different for you. Not tons of seating and what tables I did see were ALL bar height.
Coffee is amazing as are their cinnamon buns! They have dairy alternatives which is great and vegan options too! Its a local favorite and easy to see why.
This place is great, but I only gave it 4 stars for one reason: no wifi. I know there shouldn't be a requirement to have wifi in a coffee shop, but this is a first for me. I've never been to a coffee shop that didn't have wifi, which was quite surprising. Otherwise, it's a great little spot! The food and drinks were tasty (hot chocolate and blueberry square) and the vibe was nice. You're obviously paying a bit more for a trendy coffee shop but that's fine; that's an expectation when you go to a spot like this. I would definitely go back, I just won't expect to use my laptop ;)
The apple danish we got was shockingly bad and soggy. The chocolate croissant was okay, and the chocolate milk was good. Prices are high for their taste. I was expecting good pastries based on reviews and was very disappointed.
Pretty tasty coffee and scone I had while coming through town. No real direction or guidance for where to line up, and not a lot of seating, which are both odd for a place so common for tourism. Staff were friendly, menu looked great and more I would have liked to try. Had to wait a long time for a seat.
Finally got a good coffee in Canada. And the cakes were lovely too. Recommended cafe in Jasper, Alberta.
Coffee is delicious. Worth buying
Amazing sticky buns, Nanaimo bars, apple squares… only disappointment was a pumpkin tart which was more crust than filling. Highly recommended
Nice and relaxing place for a cup of cofee/tea and a treat. Huge slices of delicious Nanaimo Bar are a personal favourite.
Great place to stop for great food and a break from traveling
One of our favorite places to stop in Jasper. We usually stop there for breakfast. They have a good selection of baked goods and all of them are amazing. It's really hard to choose. Both filter and espresso coffees are good quality. They also have delicious hot breakfasts, soups, sandwiches and salads. Everything I have had there is top notch with a homemade vibe.
Had the white chocolate blueberry cheesecake and it was phenomenal! Def recommend
Good pastries, and the bread is alright. The sticky buns and Nanaimo bar are worth a try!
Great stop after a long drive from Banff to Jasper. The hot chocolate is very good. Good price as well.
Super nice people. I didn't try anything baked, but it smelled amazing. They have an excellent coffee.
It is bigger and cozier than the Bear Paw Bakery with more seating. The service is fantastic and the quality of the food and coffees and just as great as the original bakery but I think the location is better. I really love The Other Paw and look forward to stopping in whenever I am in Jasper.
Good coffee, but what kind of coffee shop/cafe doesn’t have WiFi?
I love this place, it has lots of character. The desserts are fantastic, the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is terrific. I love the design and decor in the place. And the quotes in the bathroom are pretty cool.
Lovely place, kind of like a hole in the wall thats a fully fledged bakery and coffee shop! We thoroughly enjoyed the snacks, coffee and atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly and helpful.
There was a hair in my pastry.... is all I remember now
Went here for breakfast and coffee hoping to knock out a couple hours of work, but the barista informed me they don't have WiFi. FIVE stars for the delicious veggie egg breakfast sandwich on a multigrain bun, the coffee was okay, the internet nonexistent.
Tasty treats friendly busy atmosphere.
My chocolate chai was actually really good and the gentleman who delivered it to my seat was nice. However, the Caucasian woman working the cash really just ruined the experience. I hope she was just having a bad day but she scoffed at us asking the difference between the peppermint and the mint tea. She also came to collect our mugs citing that they were low on cups. We only had two cups and we weren’t even done our tea! We had to ask for our tea back after she already picked it up. There was also only one other couple in the shop so I’m lead to believe that was her passive way of asking us to leave. She then came back to tell us they were closing off the section we were in, which is totally fine, but her attitude is nothing to be desired. Other staff were very friendly though!
Quick and reasonably priced lunch option. Soup however was very salty, sandwich was average and the brownie was far too dry. Wouldn't return.
A great place to catch a casual breakfast and coffee before your morning excursion.
Really cosy cafe centrally located while you stroll Jasper's main road or just take in the views. I wish there were more alternatives for vegans and gluten free diets. Thanks for the latte!
Great coffee and food staff was great
Great food.
The Italian Stallion loaf, with tomato, onions, and cheese baked in, is absolutely delicious! The soups are excellent too.
I always love coming to the Bears Paw cafes in Jasper. Fantastic little cafes and a must visit for coffee and a scone.
I always love coming to the Bears Paw cafes in Jasper. Fantastic little cafes and a must visit for coffee and a scone.
I felled this place is overhyped. Had a veggie wrap here but the veggie options are limited. Just a ordinary place to have breakfast. Their Kenya filter is great though. Didn't have any of their sweets. The staff is somewhat distant.
Best Americano I've ever had, and I've had a lot of Americano's!!! Yum! Back today, delicious quiche, and bought some more cinnamon rolls as they were sooo good last time!!!
Raspberry and white chocolate scones are delicious! Thanks for the suggestion Sue
"With a purchase you can enjoy 20 min on us" well that's the first time I've ever heard of that plus there's no where to sit... Glad there's other coffee shops in town sorry guys your just not customer friendly
Had the breakfast ham egg and cheese sandwich. It was cold, not fresh, and was told to just microwave it. It was soggy and disappointing. Coffee was great.
Yummy coffee and they add a coffee bean covered in chocolate on your lid for extra deliciousness ????!! Freshly baked yummy goods,,, their white chocolate raspberry scone is a MUST try!!!! They are clean and have a great social distancing policy! It’s a must visit in Jasper! Too bad they close at 4pm!! Will definitely revisit ????

So good. Especially the sticky buns!
Cashiers weren't very friendly, but it was at a busy time also. The food and drinks were great, especially the pizza bread!
Try the maple pumpkin square! Not too sweet, delicious fall flavours.
Get the rhubarb strawberry square! And don’t look down at the price, definitely don’t give them away, and their drinks are on the high side for sure. Otherwise this place is worth stopping into if you aren’t on a travellers budget!
Delicous food and friendly service! I go everytime I come to jasper!
I was in Jasper for work and accidentally tripped over this place and I love it! A great selection of hand made sandwiches, baking and coffee! Parking is always tricky in Jasper, especially on a nice day. Myself and my co-worker had lunch here. I had a sandwich, she had a pasta salad and one of their famous Raspberry White Chocolate scones. I had a friend from Edmonton comment that he wanted me to bring him back one! He said that they sell the ingredients to make them back at your home. My sandwich was fantastic. My iced latte was very good as well. They don't have Lactaid milk here, you have your choice of almond or soy (they were out of almond) I think my favorite things about this place was the whimsical taxidermy; it looked like mounted characters of Dr. Seuss! I loved the "graffiti" in the bathroom as well. They were all great clips of common sayings and poems. Regular graffiti was discouraged! I know where I am going to grab a scone on my next trip!
The atmosphere is nice. A very young man tried to serve me. I asked if they have a cake available for someone's birthday. He said that any cake must be ordered at least 2 days in advance. "Do you have a cake available that I can pick up today?" I repeated. He said no. When I asked to see a manager in the hope that he/she can offer more options, the young man claimed to be the manager himself and said that I can buy all the cut pieces of a cheesecake. When I asked about the price he did not know the price of the whole cake, and he said the price of of one piece wrongly only to be immediately corrected by a lady working in the background and seemed to be very experienced in the shop. He offered not 1 dollar of discount when he asked for almost a 100 buck payment for that cake. I believe this unhelpful unfriendly young man lied about being the manager.
Busy. Real home made muffins and good coffee. Nice ambiance to relax and enjoy a hot brew in any season.
Good pastries and coffee in Jasper. Nice stop on the main drag with a lot of different pastries to chose from. We even ended up with some leftover after flight back and they were still a great breakfast with coffee. Also good service at this location -- highly recommended.
Great stop for all your warm beverage, sweet tooth, bake good needs and more.
went there for special ice cream did not have the machines working no restrooms for customers or they would not let us use them. Don't make a special trip to go there.
Great spot, raspberry white chocolate scones are to die for that's all I have to say!!!
Stopped to pick up some sandwiches for a picnic lunch in the mountains. This bakery was a great choice as they have some very creative sandwiches. Thank you for sprucing up the picnic basket!
Didn't like the coffee(too roasted). The hot chocolate is so artificial and looks like hot water flavored with chocolate. I'm so angry for have spent my money here.
Comfy spot with great decor! We love the scones, cinnamon buns, and paninis. I also enjoyed the soup of the day: Zappa alla bolognese
Delicious food and coffe
Tasty baked goods and sandwiches at a good price!
Very nice spot for 1st experience. Cozy
Good snacks and treats, coffee was good, expect a wait.
Expensive bagels - and not even better than Tim's. For more than double the price of a bagel at Tim Hortons, you would expect a fresher and softer bagel here, but that's not what I experienced. At 9am, they only had four bagels left! And they said they do not bake any more later, nor do they even toast your bagel. Ended up getting a couple bagels and buying cream cheese and butter at the grocery store and heating them up at the hotel.

They don't have condensed milk for the coffee
Wide variety available for the morning breakfast
Great atmosphere, good food, good service. What else do you need?
Great place to grab a coffee and some pastry when you want to treat yourself to something nice
Lovely vibe, great selection of food and friendly staff
Popular bakery in town. Great selection but when they're out they're out. Prices are a bit high but expected. Cookies, muffins and scones a good but not spectacular. Sandwich is quite nice and coffee is great!
Great bakery, with delicious sandwiches and pastries; however, it is always crowded and the service leave more to be desired.
What a lovely cafe! Great food and drink, outdoor seating, and a view of Connaught and the Rockies.
Since there is a no Starbucks in this town, this is the perfect replacement. There food and coffee selection is the best in town. Cannot go wrong with this place. Allow yourself time as its mostly always busy. Always make a point of going to this place whenever in Jasper.
Seriously the worst bagel I've ever had - even looks like the server tore it open with his hands
It feels like we go to Jasper just for this, and the other other Paw Bakery bakery... and buy all their ham & cheese loafs.... The sticky cinnamon bun was FANtastic as it wasn't too sweet... When are you coming to Calgary?
Great pastries. We got some chocolate filled croissants which were the perfect snack to start off my day. The prices were also very reasonable.
Great food and decor. The washroom is super cute
Absolutely 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 thumbs up ????????
Great quaint place with great coffee and pastries. There can be a line up due to it's popularity if you're not there early enough
Jasper classic. Must try the raspberry white chocolate scone. Limited seating
Great coffee! Smaller line ups than the main store.
the coffee is ok but the service is very slow !
The sandwich I had was good the iced chai latte was amazing I sat there reading for a couple of hours, two drinks later I felt fantastic (had been really hot and overheated before) also had a pumpkin square super yummy
Great raspberry and white chocolate scones and the mocha was tasty too! Cool vibe inside.
All kinds of awesome goodies!
Delicious coffee and lattes served with a chocolate covered almond.
Delicious coffee and lattes served with a chocolate covered almond.
You have to tip the server before being actually served. I got half of my drink spilled on the table and on the floor, the waitress only cleaned it up but did not replace it... So I wouldn't have had given any tip if I did have the chance to pay afterward. Also the cakes and coffee are average and expensive, service is not that nice and too long. Overall not a great experience, I do not recommend this place.
Excellent food and drinks. Wonderful environment! Lovely window view. Very friendly and professional staff. Must stop for anyone in town!
My go-to place in Jasper. Good sandwiches and great coffee at a fair price.
Great cafe! We usually hit up a new place when in jasper but always come back here!! Great hot chocolates for the kids and hits the spot for coffee. Lots of snacks that are filling and tasty for the kids (not all sugary and sweet). Great space to hangout while we snack/drink. Place has always been busy when we're in there but the staff are busy doing what they can and have created a great atmosphere!
Very friendly and the food is amazing!! (You have to try a sticky bun)
The best expresso coffee in town. They have also a great variety of things to have in your breakfast. When I was in Jasper this was my favourite place to have muy breakfast. They open quite early and to be near the fireplace is great when it is cold. Highly recomendable.
Delightful little cafe with lots of fresh pastries and good coffee! Had a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie and a latte, and both were top notch.
This is our fav cafe in Jasper. Every time we are in Jasper, we come here for their delicious breakfast wraps, baked goodies, and lovely coffee. I can’t imagine Jasper without this place. It makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ????
What a lovely cafe! We just walked past and decided to grab a coffee and ended up spending all morning and lunch time there. The cafe is so neat and cozy. The staff is super nice and the coffee good too. Highly recommend it when in that area
Sticky bun and a latte was worth the try
Great drinks & kind staff! Favourite cafe in Jasper.
Food good enough to almost miss the train! Thank you for the delish sandwiches and pastry. A true Delicatessen
The sweet bakery treats we tried were really good and seemed good value. The coffee however was scalding hot, which isn't exactly what you want on a 30 degree day and really expensive ($7+ for a 16oz latte). Very disappointed with the coffee, would go back for bakery treats however. We have multiple allergies and they checked a few items to find one my daughter could have.
Delicious sandwiches and hot chocolate.
The cheese scone and coffee (soy caramel latte) were to die for! I know covid is hard but they have ten million signs that are overwhelming to read as you enter that could be simplified, but I understand they were probably a lot busier and had more issues in the summer than when I visited in the fall.
Everything was great except maple syrup walnut cake that made me so upset. It was super dry and hard like rock, barely edible. It is even rude to serve that to a guest. They should take that out or at least, warn guests about the cake that is not fresh. I regret giving 15% tip because of that reason.
I love this place, it has lots of character. The desserts are fantastic, the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is terrific. I love the design and decor in the place. And the quotes in the bathroom are pretty cool.
Pretty good coffee. Desserts were not very appealing. Sitting around is pretty cozy. Very busy shop though
Good coffee, but super busy and we had to wait a long time in line.
Love this little gem. Sticky buns and the coffee are great
Good breakfast sandwich. Yummy cheesecake brownies. Many choices. Efficient, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Great selection of pastries, and we loved their Java cheesecake brownie and cinnamon bun. They have good coffee, and the seating area is also quite nice.
Standard little cafe and bakery in the heart of Jasper. Plenty of parking on the street or in the car park across the street. WiFi and public toilets are always great to have on your quick stop off to get a bite to eat and a coffee. Coffee and tray bakes were very good and topped us up before heading back in the cold.
Friendly service, tasty food, beverages and snacks.
This is my go to cafe whenever I go to Jasper. I always order their london fog and chicken little sandwich. It also comes with a Miss Vickie's chips.
Delicious! We ordered a couple sandwhichs and an embarrassing amount of baked goods. The sandwiches were fresh and the bakers good were scrumptious. A surprising fav was the Italian stalion loaf which is a little loaf of bread with cheese and tomatoes and herbs inside wow!
Not what it used to be. I was fairly disappointed with the staff running around the place, they seem flustered and were really slow to get orders ready
So fresh and delicious!
Coffee was decent but the sandwich I had was awful. If you're looking to spend $8 or more on a sandwich then go to subway. I had the big bad wolf sandwich and the bread was old, the spring mix was old and they only put one slice each of roast beef, cheese and bacon. Not to mention way too little mayo/mustard! Since when are white onions good on sandwiches?? Poor performance and I won't be going back here for food. On the positive, the service was quick and the staff pleasant.
Delicious food. Great drink menu. Friendly staff. This location less busy than the original.
I LOVE this little bakery and café! The appearance isn't anything special from the outside, but once you step inside, it is like a breath of fresh air. It is filled with thought provoking imagery and inspirational quotes. Staff are pleasant and the food is delicious. No wait time, no lines, and they bring your hot beverages to you. It is quiet, but not too quiet. Enjoy sitting next to the fire, and sipping on a hot beverage. I would reccomend this place to anyone ????
There upsy-daisy wrap was absolutely fantastic! Great service and excellent food and drinks!
Great food and drinks but it can be difficult to find a place to sit inside.
The food is good. I love the maple & pumpkin squares the best.
Great little cafe. We stopped on for a roadtrip coffee and a snack. The baked goods are fantastic; even the day olds!
Awesome place to stop for a coffee, the pastries are delish and fairly priced!
Great service and friendly staff! I recommend you purchase the white chocolate raspberry scone mix and make them at home....it's like the mountains all over again! Cozy atmosphere, great coffee and everything you need to start your day off...lots to offer for kids as well.
Good food! Only issue was that they should have three employees for the pace people come in at !
Great pastries, muffins and other breakfast items!! Love the atmosphere and the coffee!!
Wonderful atmosphere.Great food! I will stop here as my go to place everytime we come through Jasper.
We wanted a quick breakfast. This was perfect. Coffee, a really yum cinnamon bun and a parfait. All items were great. There is a small seating area towards the back of the restaurant which we availed. This place seems constantly busy with people coming in for coffee and baked goods. I wish we had another day in Jasper as I'd have returned for breakfast again. Facemasks are mandatory to get in.
Looked packed when we went in but there staff were on point. For was good and drinks were simply amazing. I didn't think the sandwich would dill me up but I was spleasantly surprised. It was just the right amount. Will return.
Perfection yougurt parfaits, sunrise sandwiches, and their pastries and baked goods are to die for just looking at them.
Nice selection of pastries and savory treats.
Coffee was cold, some of the cutlery was dirty, my wrap was not very nice, and the pickle was over-salted. Cute place though.
This is the same bakery as Bear's Paw... just another location due to it's popularity. Has great food!
National park prices but fast service, large menu and cozy ambiance. Coffee was pretty good, had a pizza pretzel which was pretty good. Pleasant experience overall!
I should have known as soon as they asked what size I wanted my cappuccino to be that it wasn't going to be that good. Very meh coffee, but the treats in the bakery are excellent!
Convenient, opens early and the white mochaccino is fantastic! Great way to start the day.
Visited a couple times, while in Jasper. Excellent Expresso drinks but I found the staff were not friendly and struggled to answer a simple question regarding ingredients relating to allergens.
Very cozy atmosphere. Wonderfully tasty baked good that go great with a coffee or tea. We had lunch at the cafe and the sandwiches where filling and delicious.
Cakes were amazing but I had extra
Nice little place, great atmosphere and the smell is amazing!! Definitely going back again!
Chai was good. But pretzel pizza and veggie samosa out of this world.
Very tasty pastries and really good coffee.
Love getting coffee and a scone here, this is the go to anytime we're in Jasper. The people here are friendly and the coffee is hot and fresh
Their food is awesome and their teas and chocolate chai are delicious! Fun, international staff. My only complaint is lack of bathrooms (there is only one).
When we got there the line was out the door. Staff amazing. What a team. That line never stopped moving and we had out delicious snacks in no time.
Chocolate covered bean with all coffees is a jive touch. "mountain prices " but good caffeine stop in a gorgeous town.
Great coffee and atmosphere.
Amazing. Cane the first time, had the white mocha and chai, they have oat milk substitute and omg soooooooo delicious! In addition their raspberry white chocolate scone was fantastic! Not dry at all! And also their apple cinnamon pie. Oof! Delicious. Then today we had again the mocha and chai (our fav drinks) and their quiche. The quiche had meats and onion in it so not veggie friendly but holy moly was it delicious. Then their italian bun with cheesy goodness and tomato and oregano, holy heck that was a blast, their mixed green salad was a solid load of freshness, the cinnamon bun did not disappoint either! All in all if you are in jasper you NEED to come here for breakfast/lunch. That's when they aren't sold out of all of their goodies! You will not be disappointed. Also the 2nd round we came I spent $33 for 2. We could barely finish. Amazing! Delicious! And the baristas are fantastic! Well done!
Order the “Peter Piper Picked A Pepper” Panini and trio salad. Make sure to add chicken and bacon ???? on the sandwich!
White chocolate raspberry scone was great! The cinnamon buns were also tasty. However, the cookies were really dry and mealy. The coffee was just OK. The chocolate covered croissant reminded me of a pain au chocolat, but the chocolate chips used inside hadn't quite melted, yet the ones on the outside were burned.
Best white chocolate raspberry scones ever!
Favourite café in Jasper. Great coffee and the baked good look made in house and taste like it too. Prices are very decent and the staff is extra nice. Got a chocolate covered almond with my latte which was a nice touch. Interior decoration is quirky and it's definitely a great place for a break. Would return anytime!
A huge variety of delicious baked good and lots of lunch options! The general "vibe" is also wonderful (Edmontonians think Remedy!). Also lots of drink choices. I actually prefer it to the original location!
Been going to the Paw for a decade or so. Great treats and breakfast sandwiches. Other Paw is sometimes less crowded in the am.
The place for breakfast and coffee on every trip to Jasper. Both the Bear's Paw and The Other Paw bakeries have a great formula for quality and service.
40 minutes to get a coffee. With a huge line that’s understandable. But there were only about 8-10 couples in front of us. I understand the social distancing. But spacing people apart shouldn’t effect wait time. Coffee and baked goods were fantastic. And even the wait time is fine if there are like 30 people in front of you. But you would wait up to 7-10 minutes to move ahead one slot in the line. Very inefficient, and you could see the staff were overwhelmed. Not sure if they need more staff, or a better system, but something isn’t working. It was so slow.
Nice and cozy and just like the dark side, they did in fact, have cookies.
Great place and awesome coffee. Good Hill station coffee shop.
Expensive for what you get. Jack and Jill is literally store bought PB & J on a sub bun for $9.. the Peter Piper was so tasteless I thought I caught COVID. Good dill pickle though.
This place is so fantastic that the small mountain town of Jasper has 2. Everything is baked fresh daily. There are line ups but they have it down to a science so the line moves quickly. The chocolate croissant is a personal favourite. Something for everyone. So good!!!!
Busy and slow place. They have pretty good coffee but mixed quality food and sweets. I recommend to be really patient while ordering from here.
Delicious coffee, great selection of treats and friendly staff. Also great to see that they take physical distancing seriously and manage customer flows incredibly well.
Friendly atmosphere, inviting, fresh bread and great coffee.
Just now been there and the women at the cashier was absolutely not nice and rude to us. The coffee wasn't good. Absolutely not recommend this place!!
Awesome cappuccino and lots of choice for bread and pastries. I had a stick bun and a chocolate danish which were delicious. Great price for the quality you get. It was really busy so I was lucky to get a spot to sit. Since the weather was bad the seats outside were in used.
Amazing food and service! The sticky cinnamon bun was a nice sweet treat and the Chicken Little sandwich was delicious! Much larger and more selection of lunch items than their other location. Will definitely go again if I'm ever back in Jasper.
Good baked goods and an option for a quick meal if in Jasper. They have an array of sandwiches and plenty of variety to choose from. Even a simple Jack and Jill (a.k.a. Peanut Butter and Jelly), which is delicious and hearty. Their sandwiches come with a small bag of chips - at least the ones we ordered. Plenty of variety in terms of hot beverages (and cold) to choose from too, and they serve them up with a chocolate bean - at least the ones we ordered. A recommended option.
White choc and raspberry scones will change your life. Butter tarts were good too!
All the baked goods looked delicious, so I tried the Nanaimo square. Unfortunately it was just so-so.
Nice little place with friendly staff. Ordered the apple and brie panini sandwich to go. The sandwich itself was huge and we could taste all the ingredients.
We went here for breakfast and man was it good! Loved the fresh food and friendly staff! Highly recommend!
I asked a local where the best cup of Joe was, he told me here. It was good coffee, and pleasantly surprised by the menu, and yummy pastries.
Best caramel machiato I have ever had. Excellent pastry and soup.
Great coffee and relaxing atmosphere
Good coffee. The baked goods are delicious. Raspberry and white chocolate scone definitely worth trying.
They have the same baked goods as the original Bear's Paw Bakery but with a shorter line and more space to sit down!
Service was awful and food was not as good as I expected from the other posts. They forgot part of the order and when we asked about it requested the receipt to check how much we paid... Are you kidding me... You forget my food and now you are basically calling me a thief... You can see what you bring to my table check your dam system... So rude. Never again
Great food and atmosphere! Their pastries are amazing! Not the biggest fan personally of their coffee but it's still decent.
I had breakfast there and it was great. I'll come back there and recommend it
Cute little bakery in Jasper. They are known for their sticky cinnamon bun and it did not disappoint. But brie sandwhich was a bit too sweet. I suppose they are more of a bakery than a breakfast place. I saw other people come and buy lots of baked goods to take home.
A superb bakery. Amazing range of baked goods, sweet and savory. I wanted everything. The coffee was good too, although not as tasty as the food. The queue was pretty long as the cafe was popular. Very limited seating, so make sure you grab a table before getting food or coffee or it'll be cold by the time someone gives up space!
Nice coffee, but internet isn't free unless you ordered food.
Good choice of sweet or savoury homemade products. Choice of coffees (for the refill you have 3 different self service refills). Cashier very friendly, seating at tables or benches or lounge area. I loved it! No wifi (good for them!)
Long line to get in - around 30 minutes. Kind of pricey and the sandwiches/pasta salad were not great. 3 stars because the baked goods and coffee were awesome!
Yummy coffees & lattes! Their fresh bread is a treat & the scones mouth-watering. Don't miss their new panini range
Packed but loved my cider. I want to drive to Jasper one day early morning and have a full breakfast here one day :)
We loved their coffee. My wife said, it is where she tasted the best Cappuccino ever! And also their washroom is nice! I love the inspiring quotes posted on the walls that I saw there. ????
A must stop place for fresh baked goods if your in town. Ps an the coffee is always fresh!
Stop here for a gourmet coffee and if you love baked treats like cinnamon buns. I love their apple squares!
Took a mocha and a morning sandwich. I had to wait long, whereas the was not a lot of people. Quality of coffee and sandwich was average.
Super cute location and good coffee, but the pastries weren't that good.
Great coffee, fast service
Really good coffee
Great London Fog and coffee. Cute atmosphere and decor. Wifi available.
A nice place to get out of the cold, complete with fireplace.
Excellent coffee. Jalapeno pizza pretzel is great!
Tastey food and drinks. Not a fan of the pasta salad though.
Great for you take our lunch. Very popular so expect to que but well worth the wait.
Really good coffee, tasty sandwiches (ideal for post hike) friendly staff.
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food!
Nice people had the java cheesecake brownies and Nanaimo squares. Baked goods were and so was the coffee.
Everytime we come to Jasper we stop here. The people are friendly, the food is tasty and it's all decently priced. The atmosphere is cozy and if it isn't too busy there's decent seating. We normally park up the road and walk over. I highly recommend the white chocolate raspberry scones. Heaven on earth ❤
Great little bakery and cafe! Highly recommend the raspberry white chocolate scones. I normally do not touch scones as they are too dry and bland. These are moist, buttery, and full of flavor - just right on sweetness! My wife loves their cinnamon sticky buns too. Great coffee to complement their baked items.
Seemed like a popular coffee shop so I wanted to try it out with my family. We ordered a Cinnabon bun, white chocolate and raspberry scone, and a cheese croissant. Cinnabon bun was not soft, that was disappointing. The cheese croissant was fantastic and the scone was great too. The americano that I ordered was coffee flavoured water at best, really disappointing because it’s a coffee shop after all and if you don’t have good espresso beans than maybe just let me know and tell me to get the filtered coffee instead.
Coffee is good. Don't expect WiFi. They give out a password and tell you it likely won't work, that's the truth! Staff seem down, pretty sure the lady giving out orders was the cause of this. We moved a table slightlyw to sit down and she promptly moved it back but had no interest in clearing it off for us. Not a great experience.
Cinnamon buns are to die for.
Loved it. Great coffee, great cinnamon roles. Worth the wait. I will be back.
Great bakery and cafe very good range of baked goods and coffee
Fantastic find in Jasper. Large cappuccino is massive - see the picture and the scone was delicious. Great relaxed ambience, fabulous coffee and food. Massive portions , what’s not to like.
Fresh baked goods daily, good selection, fast service
I make sure I always stop by when I'm in Jasper. Their coffee is delicious.
Awesome little coffee shop and bistro. Always a stop for us when in Jasper or going thru.
I had the chocolate almond cheesecake which was quite disappointing. Nothing particularly unique or delicious about it. The Almond slivers on top and within the cheesecake has a unique texture but they didn't really add an almond flavour and tasted some what stale. while there other baked items are for the most part okay this is definitely something that I would skip. I'd note that there is a lot more seating here as compared to their other location, and that the variety of items offered at both locations are in fact somewhat different. Much more common to find cakes and pies in this location.
Good coffee, place to go if your looking for something extra then normal coffee
Quick service. Stellar pastries coffe and scones keep local coming back :)
Nice doughy cinnamon bun, mostly sugar and not much cinnamon. Scone was soft and cakey, not crumbly like one would expect, cheese pretzel is a cheesy dough much like a frozen pizza.
Waited 45 minutes for mediocre coffee
Stopped in for a bite to eat and a coffee. Staff were great, coffee was lovely and the food was amazing. They also have some really fun art.
The Croissant was painful and so chewy that I threw half of it out. I went at around 7 am and asked them if this was baked fresh in the morning, and they said yes, but trust me it seemed stale and old. Literally zero butter in the croissant and not crisp at all. Serve that to a french person and they would probably throw up then and there. Never going back for the baked goods at least.
The paninis are a good size, but really not that spectacular. Plus, when you're told 10 minutes and it's over 30 for them to make one...
Good coffee and baked goods that get the job done. A step up from Tim Hortons.
Amazing lunchbox special and delightful selection of muffins. Was worth going back a second and third day.
Best bakery in town !
I got the worst hospitality here. The staff who took my order was terrible. She just kept talking with coworker and clearly got bad temper when I talked her to order. I should've gone to Bear's Paw Bakery. That was much better considering tastes too.
Such a cute little cafe, their food was amazing, their drinks were okay
We waited about 30 minutes to get in to allow for social distancing which is good, however they seemed to let traffic flow exceed the stated limits and not managing when people weren’t following it which was frustrating. They don’t have the ability to warm up things other than a self serve microwave without a plate in it. The breakfast sandwiches were quite underwhelming so stick to the baked goods. The drinks were good!
Always stop here on every jasper trip.Great brew coffee and yummy fresh scones and sticky buns!
Maybe it was the time of year, or the time of day, but I hit this place before leaving town on December 28th, and the cost of the food did not anywhere match the quality. The shots in my latte were super bitter, and the breakfast wrap that I ordered had raw onion chunks in it big enough that entire bites were nothing but wrap and onion. I took my food to my vehicle, and ended up chucking out the majority of my wrap and driving around the corner to A&W to get a breakfast sandwich for a fraction of the cost. The saving grace here is that the bakery items were really good, but again, a bit overpriced.
Baked items are good. Service is transactional at best. Go to the original down the street
A bit overrated. We searched for breakfast places and this came up as number 2 (bear paw was number 1, which appears to be under same ownership). Very limited breakfast style choices, so we got soup, cinnamon bun and sandwiches. The baked goods were delectable and the soup yummy and clearly homemade, but the sandwiches were really below average. Veggies not fresh, bread not good esp considering its a bakery, etc etc. To give you an idea, my hubby described the sandwich flavour and quality as "similar to the safeway lumberjack". Not what youd expect for Jaspers #2 breaky location. Would give baked goods and coffee 4/5 and sandwiches 2/5.
Fast service, tasty baked goods, good caramel macchiato.
Fresh and tasty food.
The Americano, chai tea and raspberry scone were excellent.
Macaroons like saw dust and sugar, peanut butter cups was two 1/2 hockey hockey pucks with peanut butter between them
Coffee was ok. The wrap I got was pretty bad, cheese wasn't melted and the only thing warm was the eggs. Service was great.
Great service and still the best white chocolate raspberry scones...ever!
Cool place to come have lunch and relax after walking around the town or hiking trails in the morning. Good baked goods and many choices beverage
Friendly staff, the panini was and the soup was tasty. Quaint little place. Next time I will have to try one of their specialty coffees
Incredible sticky buns and caramel macchiatos. Highly recommend! Always try to come here when in Jasper
A must stop when visit Jasper !
The place is nice, the pasteries are pretty good (the cinnamon bun is very good). Extremely disappointed by the service. The cashier was really unpleasant, that ruins our morning breakfast.
Staff was friendly and worked hard to make our food fast when they realized we were in a rush. My family was really pleased with our experience!
Hmm that smell of freshly baked goods when you walk in to a bakery early morning - this place does it! Really cozy bakery and delicious croissants.
Took 25 mins of waiting in line to place order. Only one person handling cash and bakery orders. This same young gentleman actually dropped the knife he used to slice one of the cakes on the floor and proceeded to put it back on the magnetic strip to use again. It took him a good 30 seconds to realize he needed to go and get a replacement. Same person used a pie lifter and replaced it to the same mag strip with cheesecake remnants without so much as wiping it off. On top of all this I ordered a cider for $4.25 thinking surely it would be fresh cider as it’s not difficult to make. No it was in fact a .50 packet of powder from the grocery store…
Fantastic chowder and sandwich here.
Pleasant atmosphere.
Great feel. Free WiFi and good food.
Great sandwhiches and coffee. The staff was lovely!
Would return. But No sausage roll at this location :( The scones were very good. Fresh, slight sweetness, not overly sugary. Coffee is par.
It was above average. So it was a 6 or a ten ????. Also super confused, they gave me a piece of chocolate with my espresso. Still confused till this day
We go here every morning before skiing! Buy your lunch for the mountain too! Really great service..I think they also make cool cakes! Also love the name!
Best croissant I have ever eaten. Boom.
I came here to do some work and found out they don't have wifi. My review would've been a lot better if it wasn't for the lack of wifi. Go to wicked cup instead. Better food there
Great food. Great atmosphere. A must stop every time!
Seems popular, line ups, small patio seating out rear.
Pastries are meh. Sandwiches were pretty disappointing. Coming from a bakery you would expect the sandwiches be made with fresh homemade bread. Neither of our sandwiches were - in fact they tasted old and looked like we’re made in an industrial kitchen. For a takeaway lunch, I’d recommend the sandwiches you can buy from the grocery store for half the price.
Get the sticky bun, apple square and white chocolate raspberry scone, you won't regret it.
Lovely place good choice of teas & coffees. I ordered cake and was pleasantly suprised by the presentation and taste. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would come again. Recommend.
The best place for coffee and the pastries are amazing! Jasper blend of coffee was the best
Overpriced gas station style sandwiches, single bathroom stall with a line to get in, and no Wi-Fi. Coffee was decent though.
Good coffee and delicious scone. Chill environment
Good for sandwiches and pastries, and coffee. VERY limited seating
Very disrespectful, we have been ejected from the place because they was full follow covid process. I went with my 3 young kids. Covid prevention don't mean minimum service can't be provided or respect. Also as client is not our duty to manage the number of persons in the place. Poor
Coffee was just ok. and baked goods are good.Service was cold and not great.
Delightful. The new cashier, barista is a BABE!!!
Always like coming here when in Jasper.
Great service and coffee ❤️
I had a muffin from them, which was good. But what I recommend is the cinnamon roll - the best I've had in years!
The sandwiches weren’t that good. Way too much bread for the amount of fixings. We didn’t try the baked goods/desserts but they looked good, and the ambience was nice.
Best bakery/coffee shop in the park.
The server was very impatient when we were ordering and just assumed we would take to go.
My favourite cafe!! You have to visit the bakery on your trip to Jasper! My favourites are the cinnamon buns and the chocolate croissants. But be cautious: You'll get addicted!
Excellent spot. This location does not have fresh hot breakfast items
Other paw has been a must-go place for me ever since I was a kid. I first got hooked on their pizza pretzels, and now that I'm also a coffee drinker, their cappuccinos have been added to the list. If you have a sweet tooth, try the raspberry white chocolate scone. You will not be disappointed!
It's okay. Not the best
Great food loved the staff. Nice quiet koozie place.
Good variety of bakery choices and coffees
Great coffee and pastries, fast and friendly staff.
Coffee was ok but the croissants and scones were mostly meh. Also the lady that serviced us wasn’t very friendly.
Coffee and sandwiches were good
1 free refill on fine in coffee
I went here, got a cake pop for my child, and it had a bunch of hairs in it!!! otherwise, its amazing.
All around good place for coffee and baked goods. Prices aren't bad for a tourist town. Be nice to get one free refill on coffee even if I don't buy a mug just to get a refill. Seating is limited for parties larger than 4.
Good food but the service is crazy slow.
The food was great and the staff were very nice :)
Yummy pastries (tried the cinnamon bun - it's sweet, but has a complexity to it rather than just Boom-sugar). We also tried a salad; subbed the dressing for olive oil - the olive oil they provided was PHENOMENAL! Who'd have thought a little "bakery cafe" would have such great olive oil!?
Coffee and scones were great, staff friendly
Patricia Street Deli was closed so decided to come here. Got the chicken little sandwich...not their specialty! 90% of it was the bread/bun with very little filling. Very disappointing. I did try a scone and that was good. Would not recommend their sandwiches though.
Delicious paninis however after informing staff of our nut allergy we received garden salad with almonds in it. Just a heads up to be aware of that in future.
Fine place, great beverage choices & treats made in site.
Cafe with nice inhouse bakery, not too full of themselves, food generally good. HOWEVER - numerous unsanitary practices incl no hair nets when bakers are hanging over dough or icing the cakes. (I've got pics!) Likewise counter staff. GROSS and completely unnecessary. Smarten the hell up! Clean up your kitchen / bakery!
Great hot chocolate!
Great coffee and baked good right in the center.
Nice place to come for a fresh baked good and a coffee. Has a nice area in the back with a fireplace and some comfortable seating. They have a good selection of coffee, tea, latte, soups, sandwiches, desserts and baked goods. Their sandwiches are nothing to write home about but their baked goods are excellent. Nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly.
Had high expectations when we saw the line up but the food was very average. Pastries weren’t freshly made and you could tell. Hope with high demand this pace is getting they could improve their quality as well. As for now, we wouldn’t consider coming back.
Good coffee, good food. Nice place to relax.
The dude working was a total doink Drinks were sweet though
This bakery was a bit of a mixed bag experience the cashier that took our order was very sweet. However we got there in early afternoon for some lunch and they had run out of bread for the day and then begrudgingly agreed to make my partners sandwich with a croissant which seemed like a painful request for them. The good news is the food we received was flavorful and hit the spot. So generally for me the vibe was a little off but it did the job in the end.
Too many good looking bakery items to choose from! Sandwich was great!
Espresso cheesecake was sour, tried the egg wrap too, but it tasted like it had 2 tea spoons of salt in it. Not sure what all the hype is/was about.
Had a Sunrise Sandwich with ham and eggs it barely have any taste. The Cappuccino taste like regular coffe than Cappuccino.
Overpriced, Low quality, SLOW.
Clean, great food, even better coffee!
Inept cashier where we repeated order 3 times. Mediocre coffee. Kudos on the use of paper straws...in plastic single use cups...but they made the iced coffee taste disgusting. Just use different lids guys. The brownies were gross. Inedible. What kind of brownie has TWO kids pass them up. We tried both the cheesecake brownie and GF brownie. Not worth the stop. 2.95 for a can of pop. Try a different shop.
