Here you will be able to see all the information of real people like you who are consuming the services of The Colombian Coffee Bar & Roastery (Coffee Shop) in the area close to Alberta (Canada).
At this moment the firm has a score of 4.8 out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is basically the highest, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can say that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Coffee shop.
Like the other reviews say, the coffee really is smooth and perfectly balanced. The avocado toast is pretty blissful as well.
We love their coffee and we know it is fair trade. They always have new varieties for us to try. It's never boring.
The coffee was sooo smooth. Sunshine streams into this hip cafe and the music is so vibey. I wish there was more indoor seating, but it’s a beautiful little spot in Edmonton. It does have these super cute picnic benches outside though which will be great as the weather warms up!
This is another Great gem of a cafe. The staff really try to get the names of the regulars, and the coffee is always perfect (strong). Prices ar a little on the high side but service is great. Wifi is free and very fast, bathrooms are very clean, and sometimes you might catch the local Celebrity coming in wearing sweats to get there coffee fix.
Great coffee & staff! Relaxing atmosphere & smells amazing!
This place is exactly what we needed. I love that the coffee comes from their family farm in Colombia. Staff are engaging, the space is lovely (patio and green space out front), and most importantly their drinks taste great.
Great coffee. Great food. Cozy atmosphere. The guy working the till needs to be more informed about what they are selling and have on tap or canned.
This is an amazing corner coffee shop! A business prospect recommended that meet there and it will now be my go-to!
Very friendly welcoming coffee shop with an excellent latte!!! First time there and would definitely go back .
Super trendy, nice baristas, and fair prices. The avocado toast was amazing!
Fantastic and amazing fresh roasted coffee!! Great service as well. Will return for sure.
Best coffee in town. And the team is the best! Keep up the great job.
Nice to finally have a great cup of coffee. The Americano was delicious. ????????
Vanilla latte was good; espresso was not. Espresso was very sour and almost undrinkable. It seems they pull under-extracted shots, which work ok for lattes but for a straight espresso without the fat & sugar to cut the tartness, that style doesn't work. They need to learn to pull a proper shot for straight espresso and short Americano orders. It seems the coffee is high quality, but their technique needs work. Maybe next time I'll order an espresso lungo and see if they can make it better.
Spectacular coffee, wonderful service, fantastic atmosphere. Today was our first time coming here, and we have already made plans to drive across the city tomorrow to treat ourselves to this glorious coffee once more!
Nice ????
Vis for pies was closed and so me and my mom went here. Has great coffee and nice atmosphere and people :)
Mighty fine cup of coffee! The roasting is all done right there so it smells pretty amazing in there!
High quality coffee. Great atmosphere. Outstanding service.
Great latte and a delicious pastry. Really like this local coffee spot.
The Colombian is a great coffee shop with wonderfully friendly staff! I love the variety of coffee beans and drinks that they offer and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Curtis Ward
Wonderful, unassuming coffee house. The staff members were very welcoming and make the loveliest cafe lattes. There is no bitterness, plenty of body and fragrance to the brew, and I didn't have to add any sweetener. Will definitely return the next chance I get. Please visit them!
This is my updated review. I originally gave 3 stars due to poor quality of my drinks. I have been there a few times since and everything has been great. Ordered 13 specialty drinks this morning and they had them completed in a flash. Thanks. As I mentioned on previous review....pastries are fantastic.
Great coffee and a cozy location that enhances the neighbourhood with its charm. Coffee is roasted in the back, so very much a local coffee shop. Menu size and options fit it’s size.
Super great vibe and lovely workers. Was very busy but the workers accomodated everyone and made sure you were comfortable while you waited. Love the modern look with the live edge wood tables. Great espresso. Will be back again to sample some pour over to try another roast. Super cool how they roast in house too.
Great coffee, great atmosphere. Had the pleasure of visiting this coffee shop and they make a mean cappuccino! The open concept of the shop lets you see all the way to the back where they roast the coffee in small batches. Santiago (the owner) and his family own a coffee farm in Columbia and have a 'farm to cup' philosophy connecting with the farmers who pick the coffee they serve. Definitely a spot in Edmonton to visit!
I have come to this coffeeshop many times and have always been pleased with their service and amazing coffee. However, today I was simply appalled by how incredibly rude the barista was. There was a customer being served without a mask, she was holding up a scarf to her face from which her face was not being covered properly. Myself and my friend who is in a vulnerable age group (and a healthcare professional) were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. We waited until the customer left and informed the barista of the law that all indoor places require masks. She responded that "we are a private business and any face covering is fine, but your concern is noted". This is atrocious. That is breaking the law. No one, public or private business, is above the law. MASKS are MANDATORY. My health, my friends health, and ALL OTHERS are being put at risk because you are making exceptions for people to use a scarf that barely covers their face for the sake of an additional coffee purchase? How selfish and self centered can one be not to recognize this mistake. It is imperative that people follow the health guidelines put in place - no exceptions can be made when it comes to the health of the public - NO MATTER IF YOU ARE A PRIVATE BUSINESS. This is a coffeeshop open to the public. You MUST follow the law. This behaviour disgusts me. My friend and I will note this and inform others of this business and their lack of care, respect and how they bend the rules of the law. No coffee is worth being put at risk.
Friendly and helpful staff that are passionate about their craft. I was lucky enough to have met the proprietor, who took the time to discuss some of his favorite coffees and their origins with me. Nice folk like this are truly appreciated these days The pour over coffee was top notch. Nothing short of perfectly prepared by an experienced barista on modern equipment. I also bought three bags of coffee that I can't wait to taste! ????
The owners are both super passionate, and it shows in their coffee quality. This place sells delicious beans!
So I've known the owners of this place for many years and was excited to find out they were opening a coffee shop. I also have a small coffee shop in Grande Prairie called Shade Tree Coffee Co. The reason why I bring this up is that I wanted to say how generous with their time and friendship they have been to me and all of my questions. Their knowledge about coffee is extensive, their passion for their craft is obvious when you meet them and their customer service is excellent. I brought some of their coffee to sell at my place because it was seriously SO good. I finally was able to visit their brand new store and it is exactly what I was hoping it would be, and the location couldn't be more perfect. It looks and feels like a cosy neighborhood coffee shop but it is really accessible being on a major road! Check it out, you won't regret that decision.
This place had all the feels
Great spot . Awesome coffee
Great coffee....super staff...oatmilk lattes are hot and delicious. Very pleasant atmosphere
Was introduced to this gem today and I will use any excuse to go back! I’m a huge fan of the locally owned coffee bars and this one didn’t disappoint. Very intimate setting, great service (shout out to Michael who not only has a very cool name but was fun and helpful and also put a ton of passion into his craft the whole time I was there. I enjoyed a very tasty cappuccino that was made perfectly as well as a triple shot mocha that was the perfect balance of rush sweetness and strong espresso flavour. If you’re looking for a tasty coffee experience with top notch service near the downtown core, give The Columbian a try. You will be glad you did!
Allround great experience. Beautiful designed cafe with loads of sunlight and warmth. Great service from beautiful staff. Excellent made coffee. Great Roastery. Comfy seating. Just a happy place.
Beautiful little coffee shop! Friendly staff, nice environment, and good tasting cappuccino! I love that you can see where their coffee is roasted on the back of the store, so we know it's fresh! I also loved the cute drinkware, and it's a good spot for having some coffee and working on your laptop.
The best coffee and people.
Excellent coffee, service and atmosphere. Best coffee in Edmonton, without a doubt.
If you like pretense, this place is for you. I'm all about good coffee but the employee with suspenders and SLR camera was too much. So was the coffee. Pros: - Good (but unremarkable) coffee. - Bike rack right out front. - Food looks great Cons: - $6 to $10 pour-overs. We're talking beans and water here folks. - Small pours. - Limited food selection
I love the coffee here
Smooth cappuccino. Courteous and friendly service. Hip music. Stand up and stool tables at the back. Free wifi and plugins make it perfect for work and connecting with friends. Turkey sandwich hit the spot.
Love this space! Terrific coffee and a welcoming staff. Terrific place to start your morning, or to sit down for a couple hours of work.
Great coffee and easy to use curbside pick up!
Very busy little place. The service was friendly, the atmosphere fun, the coffee and tea fantastic. It is loud, so if wanting cozy conversation, go to the back tables.
Some of the best coffee in the city. Super friendly and knowledgable staff, great drinks and pastries, and I always pick up a bag of beans for home.
Just been the first time but it will definitely become a top study spot in Edmonton. Lovely service, fantastic latte, plenty of daylight, lots of outlets!
I like the coffee here and the fact that you know and feel good about where the beans come from. I don't like that there's only one size cup and the price of that cup. I've also had mixed encounters with service... sometimes the server is …
Super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a top-notch cup of coffee.
Always great service and a great Amerciano to make your day
We love this place! The coffee shop is warm, and inviting, which creates a laid-back experience to enjoy your coffee. We had the Ethiopia, and Costa Rica pour-over coffee, along with the Dark Mule expresso latte. One of the most notable characteristics of the coffee was the quality: smooth, clean, and doesn't leave an acidic aftertaste. Both the Ethiopia and the Costa Rica have great flavors. The Ethiopia had fruity blueberry/strawberry notes, while the Costa Rica had a more complex flavor profile from its natural process. But what made our time at The Colombian memorable was the owners. The owners are personable, welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about coffee. Overall, I highly recommend it.
First time visiting the Colombian. Great place for a visit to catch up with friends. Great service! Send someone early to find a seat, it's a busy spot.
Great coffee and guava croissant!
Colombian coffee is the best! Also, its great to see local coffee shops producing such great products. Thank you guys!
The service was amazing, and the latte was ok. Prices are great and I will definitely try other drinks as they have a great selection. The barista made a kids size chai latte for my little one and he enjoyed it for sure! It's a very cozy coffee shop! Check it out!
Beautiful space. Organized well, affording each table privacy and limits noise. Coffee is amazing and the staff are friendly and easy going. Coffee is roasted in small batches and prices are competitive. Great parking. Definitely a favourite pick in Edmonton.
Love the coffee and the room. Food selection could be a tiny bit better.
Always top knotch service, and FREE delivery within Edmonton with the purchase of min two bags of coffee. Pure awesomeness. Great to have this quailty of coffee and service in our fair city. Thanks guys!
Great coffee. Friendly and helpful staff.
A delightful experience in every way. Ambience is calm but active. Service is purposeful and sincere, and the menu is phenomenal. Our favorite is the avocado toast; it's great as a snack or a meal depending on the time of day. They also sell whole bean coffee by the pound that I would say is better than other bigger companies products, but competitively priced.
Clean place with good coffee (think they roast their own beans). Great food, couple of picnic tables outside but one is closer to the busier street so other is preferable. Staff are friendly and professional. Loved the immaculately clean gender inclusive and accessible washrooms! Get there early as they run out of the most popular food items late in the day as they are ACTUALLY made fresh and therefore in limited quantities.
Great first experience using their curbside pickup ordering system. My coffee and latte were perfect, warm and tasty. Egg sandwich was fabulous and the plain and almond croissant were awesome. Highly recommend this place and their takeout system!!
Great little coffee shop that cares about what they do and gives back to the community.
Tasty and chic
Great coffee, convenient location and a wonderful staff. Whether you choose an espresso or a regular coffee, you can't lose.
First time here. Fantastic latte, great service. Can't wait to come back.
I like the coffee here and the fact that you know and feel good about where the beans come from. I don't like that there's only one size cup and the price of that cup. I've also had mixed encounters with service... sometimes the server is friendly and quick to get your order, other times too busy talking with another person to acknowledge you. Try it for yourself, it's worth at least one cup.
A great little cafe just outside the downtown area of Edmonton. Ambience is warm and inviting with the smell of fresh roasted beans. The coffee was excellent, we were surprised to hear that the large sizes come with 4 shots of espresso which I had zero issues with. Can't speak much on the food but it looked delicious.
Nice inside, great Avocado Toast
Love this local gem! Quick service, high-quality beverages, trendy design and atmosphere. Also, their unique Guava Croissant is to die for!
Favorite coffee. Awesome service
This place is spectacular! Has such a comfortable atmosphere with great staff to assist you. The large coffee has FOUR espresso shots, so if you’re a coffee lover like me, it makes Starbucks look like a Tim Hortons ;) They do latte art here (I like when cafes have trained baristas who can do that). The avocado toast was great! Ripe avocados seasoned perfectly on some thick toast! Parking is free! What’s not to like? Check this place out when you get the chance!
The Colombian Coffee Shop has friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. Coffee flavours were well rounded and the pastries were delicious. A nice local roaster.
Love the neighbourhood vibe, bright airy feel from all the natural light. Tasty scones and an almond pastry pairs well with flavour filled coffee + cucumber infused water to stay hydrated. Left with a bag of Columbian coffee beans to share with a friend: spread the love/coffee...same thing, amIright?! Lots of room to sit, sip, and catch up with friends. An Edmonton must try!
Some of the best coffee around and very pleasant staff as well.
Great croissants. Nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Makes my day to visit which I do most everyday.
Excellent third wave coffee shop. Great atmosphere.
amazing coffee and nice staff!
Great coffee , and you can get the beans to go too! Yummy donuts too. Bonus you get to buy local and help the owner support his family back home ( farm that the beans come from!)
Best pour over in the city
Great coffee roasted on site! The baking and sandwiches are delicious!
Hands down best Americanos in the city, seriously, check this place out.
Great food, great service
Dine in
Smooth, balanced coffee. Fresh decor, friendly service, tasty bites. This place is a winner.
Really fabulous coffee in a beautiful shop.
Best coffee in town
Great staff, bring a real warmth. Excellent location and the best Covid friendly pick up service in the city. In-house roast takes the cake. Thoughtful all around. Thank you, Santiago and team.
Excellent service! Excellent coffee! Excellent atmosphere!
Best coffee in town. Great atmosphere. Friendliest staff and owners. Love love love it.
Nice staff, good coffee :)
Definitely one of my favorite local shops to grab a coffee or tea or donuts from Apollo donuts (which I wish were served there everyday!). We love them at the markets as well as the brick and mortar store. Plenty of options for everyone and customization. Plus great to go with a little "add in" station that offers clean spoons and a receptacle to store used spoons! Hurray for a small more eco-friendly step! It's always busy in here and you can tell that the people in the neighborhood, or even us who are out of the neighborhood, love to stop and enjoy this shop
Fantastic coffee and treats!
Love there coffee!
The Columbian is everything you want in a coffee bar. Outstanding coffee, tasty snacks, and incredible staff and owners makes this one of my personal favourites in all of Edmonton. And I felt very safe and taken care of with their COVID-19 precautions. Thanks so much for everything!!
Excellent service
Have just discovered this cafe. Latte was lovely and the treats (MMM. Chocolate croissants) looked tasty (but willpower won out). Somewhat on the pricey side though ($5.50 for a small latte)
Second visiting, still very nice and friendly environment
Incredibly personable staff! Delightful menu and coffee. The Colombian adds to the value of the neighborhood and is a must visit for coffee enthusiasts in Edmonton.
Great atmosphere. Greeted when we entered. Great service. Coffee was delish. Will definately return.
Nice coffee shop! It's quite far away from where I live. But whenever I get a chance to stop by, I always do!
The staff here are so friendly. The Americanos are great! I am not a fan of the bench style seating along the wall. When it is busy it can feel very crowded in these seats. The tables are great, but i wish there were more tables and the bench seating were removed.
First time trying this coffee shop today and I loved it! The atmosphere is very inviting and the baristas were all super friendly. Got 3 different drinks and the breakfast bagel and they were all made perfectly and tasted amazing. Definitely a must go if you're downtown!
Best cappuccino I've ever had. Wooow! So good!
Tasty food & drinks, lovely staff & good beats. Cucumber water is such a nice touch. My fave place to catch up with friends. …
Great coffee that is home roasted. Nice little breakfast menu as well. Good staff add to the experience.
Always amazing! Service and setting are Steller.
Order the iced milk, it’s to die for. Doughnuts are good when they have them.
Excellent espresso and pastries in a cool minimalist setting. Worth the trip to find it. Not quite as good as Phil and Sebastian's in Calgary but pretty close
Love this little gem of a place. The staff are lovely. The owners are genuine. They have created such a wonderful atmosphere. I frequently have business meetings here too! Their lattes are delicious- the avocado toast is amazing and the guava croissant is a must try!
Cant get a sausage lasagna here, but great snacks and delicious coffee.
Good coffee, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Trendy place with quite a bit of space. Quick service & delicious chai.
Lovely place, people, food and coffee. Great third wave.
Great service, coffee, location and decor!
We love the Colombian! The coffee is great, so are the chai lattes, sandwiches and pastries. They make great kids hot chocolate, not too hot and with mini marshmallows. ♥️
My fave coffee shop in Edmonton! And that avocado toast....the best!!! ????
Good coffee, unique winter drink with cardamom that was quite tasty and good food.
Love this spot! Staff are always so fantastic, friendly, and cheerful. Great healthy snacks/small meals, delicious fresh roasted coffee, and a great casual setting for any gathering. Parking is free, convenient location nestled in Glenora. It's an important staple to the community!
Great coffee, though really pricy for a large americano.
Tasty food & drinks, lovely staff & good beats. Cucumber water is such a nice touch. My fave place to catch up with friends. *pictured is the loxocado toast and London fog. The guava croissant is another fave.
AC was a little too cold; otherwise great place for an AM coffee!
This is a gem of a coffee shop. Bright ambiance and unique raw wood tables are jest some of its charm. I also received excellent service. My cappuccino was delicious, made with oat milk which I tried for the first time. The staff were genuine and friendly... Nolan even brought cucumber water around to my table and had a conversation about my writing. Only concern was that seating was a bit limited but to be expected on a Saturday afternoon. They have spare stools at the bar if necessary. I'll definitely be back.
The espresso is excellent. And it is a great place to sit for a few minutes and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The employees are knowledgeable about their business and take the time to educate their customers. I always stop in when in Edmonton.
Great little cafe good environment and delicious coffee
Quick, friendly service. Espresso was Fantastic. Will come back again.
Pros: -Nice interior -Good location -Available parking Cons: -Lack of available menu board -Cappuccino and lattes are average -Premium pricing -Lack of actual plates for dessets instead of single use plates, especially since you're paying premium prices
Incredible Columbian Roasted Freshness! It really had an authentic taste. Great service!
I recommend it! The orange donut was pare excellence! A must have… My drip coffee could be stronger, however. I shall try the espresso next time
When friends are bad for business. If your in Edmonton pass on this location. Love Mike.
The coffee/ latte was great. I like Columbian beans so it was an easy sell. I think the shop could use some rearranging...it just feels awkward ...location of the till, pickup and sugar. It leads you out the door instead of inside to shop the coffees or sit and relax. Just my thoughts, maybe they want more takeout...go for the coffee!
The vibes are tight. If you’re in the know when it comes good coffee then this is the place for you. It’s like they took the good layout of blue bottle and made it their own less corporate more mellow spot with better coffee. Would highly recommend, the avo toast was also great. Stop by if you wanna be stoked for the rest of the day????????
This place has the BEST coffee in Edmonton! I used to live a lot closer to The Colombian so would usually grab a latte on my way into work. It's now not on my regular route but I will make a detour to go there just for the coffee. The staff are super friendly and get you your beverage as quickly as they can. I have never dined in, but the atmosphere is really warm and welcoming so this would be a great place for a visit or afternoon date. I am so excited to have discovered this place! Keep up the great work.
Great Little Coffee Place Highly Recommend the Avocado Toast and a Colombian Pour Over!
Excellent coffee, excellent food, and excellent people. Highly recommend!
Staff were incredible, as was the coffee. I’m always worried that cool spots like this will feel pretentious, and this definitely wasn’t. The cappuccino was delicious — perfect consistency of milk, and perfect temperature. Topped with beautiful art. The food was pricey for what it was but delicious anyway. They even brought us cucumber water once we were finished with our selections. Excellent service.
Tasty!
Great food Espresso is ok. People rave about the coffee here.
Good coffee. Good beans. We buy 2 bags of espresso beans per month. If the bags had a stamped "Roasted ON" date , we would continue to buy our beans here. But without that guarantee of a stamp we have decided to shop elsewhere. I know you say that they are roasted this week, but that is not good enough. A small issue, but it matters if you are looking for a fresh roast. Overall a well run coffee stop.
Love coffee and warmth of the place! Great staff!!
So impressed! Not only was the coffee good, the but service was exceptional. After we had received our coffee, we were brought glass of cucumber water, and I really enjoyed chatting with one of the baristas about their coffee. I tried a latte with oat milk, and it was great. Their owner Santiago was at a coffee competition at the time (which I saw he placed 3rd!), And is from Colombia. The back of the cafe is where you can see they roast their own beans, and their tables are very unique. The place was FULL on a Friday mid morning, so although their are quite a few seats, it is a very popular place! Parking is free and you can't miss the large lit bulb sign: COFFEE.

Excellent service and the perfect coffee! Love it.
Great coffee, great food and great atmosphere! Awesome for a study spot or just a place to chill!
I visited this shop last year and couldn’t resist stopping in for one final coffee last year before I went to the airport. They have a large selection of coffee paraphernalia available for purchase as well as a good variety of coffee origins to choose from. This roaster is booming.
Beautiful new coffee shop and roastery. The owners and staff are amazing. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Our first time here, super friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable about their product, and they have homemade amazing donuts and pastries! Same price if not cheaper than some other big chain brands, excellent quality. They have dairy free options, and the fresh ground smell is wonderful. Open super early, which makes sense for a coffee shop. Cool decor, and some nice small gift ideas if you’re looking to #SupportLocal . Would highly recommend for a coffee date.
The Colombian is consistently excellent, I have always had great experiences with drinks/beans I've purchased. They have a great story, great sourcing, and, most importantly, GREAT coffee. Oh, and great food. There are many superlatives that could be laid down in this review but suffice it to say this is among the best coffee shops in Edmonton and my personal favourite.
Really great avocado and toast and espresso. Super cool they roast it right in the back, little noisy but still great.
Great local spot. They roast their beans from their farm on Columbia...but they also roast beans from all over eg: Ethiopia...Kenya etc
The Colombian is my favourite place in Edmonton to get coffee. Whether I'm going for a latte or buying a bag of their fresh roasted beans this roaster has never disappointed. The location is great with a cool interior and nice atmosphere. Their selection of pastries and snacks are amazing as well - have never been disappointed. Customer service is also second to none. They take the time to get to know each of their customers and make personal connections. For me this is an easy recommendation to anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee - no matter how you like your coffee.
Best coffee I’ve had in awhile. Also friendly service. Highly recommend.
Love the vibes of this little coffee bar... parking can sometimes be challenging at busy times...
Came at end of day...underwhelmed by both product size and service.
New favourite coffee place. Love the quality of the coffee I had the cappuccino made with almond milk it was really rich and creamy. The staff is super friendly and attentive, love the atmosphere of the whole place. If you want great quality coffee go here!

This place is a gem on the west part of downtown. I drove by it for over a year and thought it was just a small coffee shop but it is so much more. They do indeed have great coffee but they also have good food and lots of sitting. The menu photo is accurate as of May 19th, 2019
Great staff, great location. My new favourite place in Edmonton.
Great coffee, super friendly staff, awesome lighting, what else can do you want in a coffee shop? The plants seem really happy, so you know there are great people running the place!
The best accident discovery I’ve ever made! Excellent coffee and staff that makes you feel your at home! Great place!
What an amazing cafe! Get the Gesha Village pour-over if they have it.
Ambience of the coffee shop is very nice. The London fog was silky smooth and the passion fruit donut is flavourful and not too sweet. The service was impeccable.
Love those cappuccinos. Staff is welocoming and it's has a real nice vibe.
Excellent London Fog. Great Friendly Service.

For the price the atmosphere, food, staff, and most of all the coffee is just amazing. I highly reccomend this place if you want to have a coffee and relax.
Favourite place in town to get my pour over. Coffee selection is always top notch and the food is great to.
A nice greeting as I enter. A cold conversation with the cashier. No stopper for my cup, the burning hot coffee spilled on my hands. No lid for the tap water, the water fell on me. The drip coffee was 5/10 or 6/10 depending on one's mood. Nothing special. The problem is I paid for something a little special, $4 plus tax means something special or at least better than starbucks, which is cheaper. It is better than mcdonalds and timmies at least. Will I be coming back? Maybe I'll try their pour over. I'll change my rating based on that.
The coffee here is hands down the best in Edmonton, places like Credo and Coffee Bureau are good but this places is on a whole new level. Staff are friendly and helpful, foods pretty much the same as other coffee shops. I usually get a slow drip Ethiopian blend. You have to try this place!!!
Beautiful space. Organized well, affording each table privacy and limits noise. Coffee is amazing and the staff are friendly and easy going. Coffee is roasted in small batches and prices are competitive. Great parking. Definitely a favourite pick in Edmonton.
A wonderful cafe in Edmonton with a master roaster that makes stupendous coffee right in the back of the cafe on a world class roaster. A new staple in edmonton
Service
Am absolute gem in the city. The pour over coffee was amazing.
I love this place! The vibe is really nice and the coffee is tasty. Also the best avocado toast I've had in Edmonton. :)
Their coffee is literally award winning. You need to go here. Great internal decor and vibe.
Great beans, great coffee, the donuts are on point, the people are friendly. Glad to be nearby!
Friendly great service.. the mocha was excellent and I was told that the vanilla latte was great.
Their coffee and meals are absolutely delicious. I literally come here like eveyday when i study or go out with my wife. All staffs are super nice as well!
The coffee and food was good but this place is WAY overpriced. 2 iced coffee and 2 orders of toast with Nutella cost an absurd $30. There’s plenty of coffee shops in Edmonton, avoid this unless you’re comfortable wasting money!
Love that you can see them roasting in the back. Great atmosphere and coffee!
Fabulous local coffee shop. Excellent in house roasted coffee.
I like their coffee but the seating is always an issue so much so this time we didn't stay. To bad!
i am so delighted that there are coffee shops like this in edmonton. very warm and friendly and obviously amazing coffee (:
Best coffee in Edmonton. Ya I said it. Best coffee. The Vanilla latte is like drinking a toasted marshmallow.
Cool space and friendly staff. I ordered a macchiato but got a latte, I didn't say anything and just enjoyed my latte. I'll head back and try a macchiato along with their sandwiches which looked great!
Excellent coffee and avocado toast! Staff is always so nice and friendly.
Excellent coffee and great service.
Updated review: Years ago, the coffee here was not what I'd hoped for in a hip new cafe. It seems they've upped their game: The flavours in the pour-overs are distinct and balanced, other drinks are great, and the food is good too. Other than quality coffee, I really dig the ambience, the residential neighbourhood vibe, and the social terrace where happy crowds of people and dogs hang out. Another huge plus is that it's a fantastic spot to train and social my GSD, with so many other dogs and people around....while I sip a delicious coffee. I'm very happy to revise my earlier review. Love this place.
Award winning coffee right here in Edmonton. The Columbian serves up the best cup of coffee around - We are super lucky this talented couple opened up here.
Smells so good in this welcoming little shop - the coffee is so fresh and the spinach /feta pastry was delicious.
Fantastic, best coffee in town and really good oat milk
Honestly, so bad. Rude staff and drinks are always a mess- much better spots
Pros: -Nice interior -Good location -Available parking Cons: -Lack of available menu board -Cappuccino and lattes are average -Premium pricing -Lack of actual plates for dessets instead of single use plates, especially since you're paying premium prices
The best coffee in the city. Coming here is like a self care therapy. The staff, location and vibes are amazing. Highly recommend this place. ♥️♥️
What is the definition of happiness for coffee places? Are we there to get the buzz and have fun? Is it the atmosphere or ambience? Why do we go back for a readily available commodity like coffee? That is, why would I go back? I love a good view and trees for example. I am a window starer like in grade school. My preference is easy parking. So a few ticks get checked here and the coffee seems good enough. So to add my thoughts on a coffee place is almost like the smoking areas in my high school. You go to hang out with like minded people who are instead of craving nicotine and have replaced that addiction to caffeine. So fellow addicts I will see you there sometime. Oh and they roast beans on site. Can be interesting when they are in the back cleaning the system and filters.
One of my favourite places for coffee in Edmonton. The owner and staff are friendly and super informative with the coffee beans. Also, the doughnuts are AMAZING !!
Delicious, nice place to enjoy good coffee and a good conversation
My absolute favourite coffee shop in Edmonton. I tried their avocado and bacon bagel today and it was absolutely delicious. I had to come and write a review immediately it was THAT good. With a generous amount of avocado (which I greatly appreciate) and a perfectly toasted bagel, you cannot go wrong with this choice. Their vanilla lattes have always been a favourite of mine and my toddler loves the kid's hot chocolate. No matter what part of the city you live in, it's worth the drive to check out! Located in the beautiful Glenora neighbourhood; you only get good vibes coming to the Colombian.
To many of us, coffee is life... That first cup in the morning is heavenly, and for some of us, can make the day better. "Born and raised in Colombia, Santiago was surrounded by coffee culture and hardworking farmers. Fast forward to today, Santiago's family now owns a coffee farm of their own and asked if he would bring the family coffee to the Canadian coffee connoisseur. He went one step further and together with his partner in crime, Kristin, threw himself into the world of coffee. Multiple trips to Colombia to tour farms, and to meet the producers and the families who pick the coffee, inspired Santiago and Kristin to start a micro coffee roastery right at home in Alberta!" This project has been one of passion for this couple. They have had a lot of roadblocks that they have had to overcome to bring YEG their family's best. Previously only available at farmers markets, handmade shows and through their website, they now have a brick and mortar shop with "Vi's For Pies" as their neighbour. Santiago and Kristin are warm and inviting and will teach you everything that there is to know about coffee. From the growing of the beans, to managing to get the beans shipped back to Canada, and to the whole roasting experience. Quite a lot of work goes into your morning cup of coffee! The coffee is grown ethically/fair trade; the surrounding farms think that the Santa Rita Farm in Colombia has got a great thing going. Happy farmers means a great product. Santiago loves his beans, and it shows! He will proudly show you the different types of beans that come in for roasting and how each one is different. The aromas that were in the air during my visit were heavenly. I was surprised by how short a roasting session actually was. It was only a few minutes! Technology does take its effect on roasting as well. Temperature, humidity, outdoor weather and many other factors go into how the end result will taste. And the taste... The Santa Rita Colombian roast is my favourite so far. I normally like anything from Ethiopia because of the complex flavours that the beans can present. The Santa Rita is bright and flavourful, and will make you want a second cup! I am beyond thrilled to be able to grab a latte made with some of the best beans I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
Amazing atmosphere and even better hot chocolate! Service was Incredible.
Really love this coffee shop. The coffee is great and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
You like coffee? This place is the best in the city. Scratch that—best in the province. Scratch that! dare I say—best in Canada? Seriously. My wife and I have lived in 4 different provinces and routinely travel to many urban hubs in Canada and have been part of too many coffee subscriptions to count. We LOVE coffee. Usually Toronto has the best offerings—simply because of volume—but...read on. I have no idea what frickin’ secret sauce these folks use to roast their beans—but it sure works. It’s ruined us. I could gargle any one of their fine varietals. Everything else tastes like brown swill now —as I shake my hands in the air (...oh except maybe Rogue Wave and the occasional transcend). I am sure the mochas, cappuccinos, and whatever puffed up liquids are equally delicious, but bottom line: this places does coffee better than any place I could imagine. I have no financial stake in this company—but maybe I should get one! Bravo The Columbian.
I love this place! Everything was amazing, didn't want to leave.
Best coffee shop in Edmonton. There’s lots of coffee shops in Edmonton, but they roast their own beans, they have friendly staff, the owners are very sweet, and of course, the coffee is amazing! Don’t forget to grab some guava croissant and donuts
Best coffee and dirty chai latte in the city. Beans are roasted in house and are beyond perfect. Not a single cup I’ve had with any after taste or burnt beans. Just extra smooth and silky coffee. Donuts are also baked in house!! I’m always treated really well and they remember my name now! Lol also lox avocado toast & egg salad are delicious.
Very good coffee. The avocado toast and guava croissant are a must.
Staff are always friendly, coffee beverages are made with care and one of the best Avacado toast in town.
Beautiful coffee shop and great quality coffee!
Nice place, not a good owner. Place was clean but from what I saw the owner was shallow and harsh on his employees. Sat in front of a meeting where I overheard him talking about how his staff is struggling to meet his demands and needs. Interesting guy. Will be looking for a place that can do it all.
Nice atmosphere, food coffee and the barista put a fancy leaf on my latte like no big deal
Great service and atmosphere. The staff are impeccably friendly and the selection is really good. Prices are far better than other comparable coffee shops.
I'm a big fan of this place. Super hipster and cozy. The coffee is always delicious and I would highly recommend trying the avocado toast! The staffbis always extremely friendly and genuinely appreciates your business. I always try and stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood.
Coffee is excellent so are the pastries and sandwiches, staff is always pleasent and the place itself is very relaxing
Love this place. Coffee is great, I tend to go for the pour overs. Food is really good too. And the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Nice place, good atmosphere, interesting furniture and fixtures, great staff.
Delicious coffee, convenient location and friendly staff.
This coffee shop is a new favourite! While on a walk through our neighbourhood we discovered this little gem. They make all feel welcome - both hipsters and non-hipsters alike. As two people that identity as very "square," we were worried about encountering the "pretentious hipster vibe" that many coffee shops like this have. This was not the case at all - there were a wide variety of demographics (old, young, and everything in between) which speaks to the fact that this really is a place for everyone to enjoy a good cup of coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and they have tables outside if you would like to sit, sip, and visit. They sell whole bean coffee, and will grind it for you if you don't have one at home. Customer service and coffee were great! We will definitely be frequenting The Colombian often!
One of what I consider the big three coffee roasters (the others being Ace and Transcend) in Edmonton. A must visit for all coffee fans
discovered this place when picking up my donut order from Apollo (miss you Apollo donuts) The staff are super friendly, the make great conversation and even better dairy free lattes!
I sincerely regret all the times I drove by here without stopping in. It's very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is an exquisitely designed space with equally exquisite coffee. If you'd like to try some of the best coffee in Edmonton, then this is the place for you.
Awesome coffee, awesome snacks, awesome people! This is the best coffee shop in Edmonton. The coffee is great as is the vibe. They also have some beer taps behind the counter which looks like fun for après anything.
Always a great place. 1st or 2nd favourite in the city.
Really good coffee, attentive staff, simple yet sleek atmosphere. Really nice would come again.
The loxacado toast is our favorite bite at the Colombian.
Very nice place. Super neat design and vibe to the place. Coffee was very good. Taking someone for a coffee date, then this is the place to go.
Lovely staff and atmosphere in the shop. Best coffee in the city.
I’m a tea guy through and through. The coffee here is the best coffee I have ever had, period. The atmosphere is fantastic and the owners are super friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Great coffee and great staff. Always a treat to shop here.
I love the Colombian! Definitely my favorite place to buy coffee beans. They know where all of their coffee comes from and they're happy to give you a run down! Plus the Coffee Mule usually parks by my house in the summer so it's an amazing treat on weekends.
Atmosphere is great, food selection is limited but tastes amazing and service is exceptional!
Superb coffee! The Ethiopian pour over is on point at the moment!!!! Their lattes are also a delicious snake!
Excellent coffee shop with great staff and lots of high quality items to choose from. Very tasty
Just had a takeout latte here. Friendly people and excellent coffeethat is on par with places like Credo and Coffee Bureau. The almond croissant was also good. Came later for lunch and that was great as well. Lox and Avocado sandwich was awesome!
Sept 2021 Update: Breakfast bagel was delicious. Get it. ???? Latte was delicious. Ambience was cozy. Aromas were heavenly. Friendly staff. Santiago was super welcoming and answered questions I had about coffee roasting. Plenty of parking. 100% recommend.
Super friendly service and great coffee! The breakfast bagel was delicious.

The coffee is so good. Cool place, great staff. Always busy, but never a long wait.
Awesome place to grab a coffee and a snack reasonable price. You can tell that Santiago and his staff care about every customer and will make your drink exactly how you like it. The atmosphere at the cafe is bright and cozy. I've spent many days working on projects or planning to meet clients here. Keep an eye out for the Coffee Mule as well. Same great coffee on wheels.
The Colombian joins Credo, Transcend, District, and Square 1 on the short list of top Edmonton coffee houses. Trendy, great coffee, great baristas with solid craft, great location. The avocado toast is amazing.
Great spot to stop after a bike ride.
Great coffee, poor oversweet matcha and a little expensive
They have great coffee and if you're hungry I lives the avacado toast
Closed at 4pm. Just coffee that it roasts and a few pastries. Vys for pies is next door if greater eats are needed. Trails to River Valley close by. Next to very busy road.
Really enjoyed this place. Good atmosphere and good coffee.
Good chai, avocado toast and service. Will come again.
Amazing avocado toast with the lox and best coffee around. Oat milk available now, too!
Love the vibe of this place, and there coffee ☕ it's absolutely delicious! They have quite a few choices. The work horse is my favorite. I also have horse power but haven't tried it yet.
