I stopped here for a coffee and a bite with my family. The coffee was pretty good. The service, though, was excellent. My muffin was a touch on the dry side, when given that feedback the staff were mortified, insisted on giving us some vouchers for coffee in the future. After this Miss Four informed the staff that her hot chocolate was too sweet, go figure, they promptly remade it at a much less sweet level. If I were a Calgary dweller I'd become a regular.

Try the breakfast sandwich!! It's nothing like any other breakfast sandwich - it's made on a delicious cheese biscuit with really good bacon, a whole egg and some crazy sauce that's subtly sweet and delish as well. You can also get the cheese biscuits separately (another worthwhile investment)

I always make a point to search out the closest Rosso when I'm in need of a coffee. The Arts Central location is awesome as its right across from the Glenbow on the famous Stephen Avenue walk. In the summer months, the patio is really nice for enjoying a latte and a snack.

I love stopping in here to and from #Wordfest events as well as after a visit to the Glenbow. Staff is crazy amazingly awesome - super friendly. Rosso has the best coffee in Calgary (in my opinion) and their baked goods are delicious. I highly recommend the GF coffee cake, oatmeal cookies and cheddar biscuits (not GF). The protein bites took me by surprise as a small tasty snack. Easy to access from the parkade below the Telus Convention Centre or just walk in from Stephen Ave.

A good place to get coffee that is brewed fairly well. It can get pretty busy, but you're served quickly and efficiently. The inside is warm and comfortable. In warmer weather, they do put out a small patio right onto Stephen Ave. This is nice in theory, but be prepared to be asked for change or a meal if sitting on the patio. It's in a convenient spot close to the museum, Olympic plaza and the core. Surrounded by hotels and connected to the convention centre so a lot of business people use it as a meeting place. If you like to eavesdrop conversations, this is not a good place to go because you mostly just hear small talk and business jargon.

If I could give this place a -1 star I would. If you have food allergies, stay away, they don't care. We were at a meeting close to this coffee shop and were frequenting it almost twice every day for a week. I have a dairy and honey allergy and every time I ordered my coffee or food, I would mention that. On the first day, I ordered a sweet latte with oat milk and mentioned that to the cashier and she said ok all is fine. After drinking the coffee, my throat started getting itchy, I thought allergies were acting up, so I popped a benadryl. On the second day when I was ordering the same drink and mentioned my allergies, the server informed me that sweet latte infact had honey as a sweetener. Luckily for me, I did not have an anaphylactic reaction. I chalked it up to a mistake. On the 4th day, I ordered an oat latte, got my coffee almost 20 minutes after ordering. I have been off dairy for such a long time that I don't know how it tastes like, I spent the next few hours being violently I'll and throwing up and covered in blisters since that day as I am severely allergic to dairy. It's been a month and I am still waiting to hear back from the district manager about how they handle food allergies and staff training in relation to this.

This is a cool spot in the middle of downtown! Rosso has great coffee - the black label bags are unique and fun to enjoy. The oat milk espresso drinks are made well and are yummy. The service is quick, but could be friendlier at this location.

It’s very hard to find good coffee and when I do, I try to spread the word as much as I can. If you are a Tim Hortons fan, all power to you but I always crave to find coffee that is not too bitter and would not give me heart burns. Rosso has an excellent selection of tea and coffee. I was able to have an Excellent smooth and silky latte and it made my day! Friendly service and I definitely recommend!

I really like this place. The oatmilk latte was great. I normally don't do the milk alternatives but I could get behind this. I dinged a star because of the wait I experienced this morning. I overheard there was a staff member who was late (always late it sounded like... Why keep her on staff? Coach her to be better or let her go already). Anyway, I waited quite a while for my breakfast wrap (over 20 mins for sure). I finally spoke up because there were 5 people that had ordered their breakfast wraps or bagels after me and got them first. I get it that being short staffed happens, just stick to the order of customers first in first out. I hope this feedback it helpful and I know that this was probably a one-off experience. I will still return the next time I'm in the area.

I am inclined to bolder notes in my espresso and Rosso is all about chocolatey, espresso-flavoured beans. Hit me up with that espresso while I sit in your beautiful, high-ceiling cafe. Then soul-drenching notes will stream through the thin walls courtesy of Telus concerts. Sip on fancy espresso while stealing into a free concert? Score! Edit: I take that back, Telus Convention is not the Royal Conservatory here. Edit: having recently switched over to organic coffee, Cole took the time to actually respond to an inquiry I sent to Rosso on organic selections. He gave me a lot of info on their Rwandan suppliers, I am very impressed by the care they give to their coffee nut consumers. all stars!!! also, check out their Rwandan coffee if you're into organic too. They are not certified yet due to the farmers' resources but are looking into alternative, affordable certification processes to get their organic coffee stamped. (I think that is Vunga/Rugali)

My girlfriend had her tongue burnt on a latte. We think they microwaved the milk. Her coffee was burnt. (I tried it) We ordered 2 normal lattes. I somehow got an oat milk latte, though I don't know how and it's not what I ordered? It took almost 15 minutes to get our coffee although the shop wasn't too packed. My latte was fairly meh. The cups were somehow very spilly. At first I thought my girlfriend was clumsy when she somehow spilled her latte onto herself and then I managed to do exactly the same? The portable cups or the lids for them are not good. They did a nice latte art and the place was clean, but that was basically the only good I have to say about the coffee here.

Nice coffee shop, good decor, good location. It's a little on the pricier side - however their coffee tastes great. Just visited last week from Vancouver area. I work at a coffee shop and am pretty judgmental about coffee quality this place has great quality and taste. My friend who had a salad also commented on the prices but said the salad tasted great so it was worth it. If your in Calgary and wanna put great coffee shops on your list of tours make sure to add this!

Rosso has evolved as one of Canda's top, and more innovative, coffee roasters and its three cafes (currently three with more to come) are artisanal in every respect. Superb espressos and milk-based drinks with perfectly textured milk. Great foods made and baked in house. Beans are available in conventional sealed bags (roast dated of course) as well as refillable glass "growlers."

I would describe this coffee shop as a trendy/fancy/chic coffee shop. Very well located, in the heart of Downtown Calgary, by the vibrant Stephen Avenue (8th ave). The place is always packed and sometimes is hard to find a place to sit, but this is not a huge place. There is parking underground but during the week it can be quite expensive. Their coffee is excellent, that is all I've tried.

In almost every instance of improperly extracted espresso at commercial coffee shops, the problem is over-extraction. Yesterday I had an under-extracted and sour shot delivered in my cortado where the milk foam immediately collapsed. I spent time with friends, went back for another and got the exact same sour thing so this wasn't a one time problem. The quality difference between Rosso locations has varied so widely that I don't trust the brand. (The Tuxedo location being the only quality espresso experience over the week I spent here.)

There's always good coffee at Cafe Rosso! I haven't had too much of their food options yet but the items I have tried were impressive. Their cheese scone is super cheesy and while I think their Rosso Oreo cookie is a little too sweet, the flavours are pretty great. (It's not an exact Oreo dupe but I like it to share.) I just wish their downtown locations were open longer but that's a common complaint in this city. After 6pm most non-restaurant/bars close shop! Even so, I definitely think it's worth the trip!
