I absolutely love this place. The cleanest, most delicious cup of coffee I've ever had was here. Plus I get a big kick out of the fact there's a total art to it's creation - ask the guys who work there to talk you through what they do - it's truly amazing! I've been here with my friend and then brought my whole family in when they came to visit for Christmas. My family are avid coffee drinkers and they rated it highly too. They also sell beans and loads of cool accessories. Must drink here.

What a great cup of coffee honestly. Also their local delivery is no joke - amazon who??? They are FASTER than Prime shipping and you get the benefit of warm fuzzy feelings as a result of supporting local! I've had lattes in store before, and bought a couple different types of beans. This time though I ordered a "dealers choice" and I'm so pleased with the coffee they packed for me :) Sippin' on one of them right now fresh from my press.

Bought some light roasted beans and they're great. The beans were roasted within days of being delivered to me. The taste itself was amazing as it had most of the notes advertised on the packaging when I brewed them with a v60. Best tasting I've had in a long time. Definitely will be buying from here again.

For my money, Rogue Wave roasts the best coffee in Edmonton. I've certainly enjoyed some roasts more than others, but I can't say as I've had a bag of beans from these folks that I didn't like. I appreciate how often they change things up and the variety of limited runs they offer.

Rogue Wave is one of Edmonton's best coffee experiences. They roast a large variety of coffee beans sourced from around the world. Watching the baristas work is an experience in itself. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a good cup of coffee.

Waited patiently and finally got my hands on an origami dripper through Rogue Wave. Shipping was super quick, and they even included a sample of their coffee (currently sipping a cup of it as I write this review). I'll definitely be checking out their beans next time, and hopefully make a visit to their store if I ever go to Edmonton!

I had the pleasure of going to Rogue Wave Coffee for the first time and met Phuwadet "Ply" Pasarj. He competed in the National 2020 coffee brewing competition in Montreal and finished in first place. Ply was scheduled to head to Australia to compete in the World Brewers Cup but it was cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. While I was there he gave me the opportunity to sample a number of his personalized brews. Amazing. I would highly recommend visiting Ply and the other staff at Rogue Wave Coffee. I know I will be back.

Excellent shop. The coffee is roasted and brewed by the owner(s). The space is small and warm. There are a couple of places to sit and work, but feels a bit more like a cupping lab meets an infoshop. There's a lot of soul and care put into this shop and the resulting coffee. The bag of coffee I purchased was definitely a highlight of 2017.

Not only have they created a beautiful, bright and airy space but they’ve taken pride in creating a coffee experience. One thing they do is always having new pour overs to try but also they offer coffee flights! Great idea for both the coffee enthusiast or the roast newbie. They sell a ton of products that you can buy to create the perfect coffee experience at home + their own roasted beans! The staff here are super knowledgeable, helpful and extremely friendly. Such a calm cafe. Definitely recommend popping by some time and maybe staying awhile (they have pastries too ????)

A wonderful specialty coffee roaster/shop. I will definitely return to pick up more beans. A good variety of beans: anaerobic, natural, wet washed processed coffee. The coffee I brewed was delightful. If you're into specialty beans then I think you'll find something here. I had been browsing for a high quality manual grinder, and found that Rogue Wave carried a few brands. It was nice to be able to buy my grinder from a local shop rather than shipping it in. The 1ZPresso K-pro has made my aeropress coffee experience much better. The outer adjustment dial is awesome. It's just a nice way to interact with a grinder for adjustments. The selection of brewers and filters looks good as well. If you are a pourover person, they probably have the dripper you want. It's worth checking out

Really enjoyed it. It had lots of depth of flavor. Service: a little soft spoken hard to place order but other than that not much other interaction. Atmosphere: kind of had a new age new York coffee house feel to it. You can see their storage room so it's hard to tell where the restaurant ends. Love the display on their back wall thou. Best coffee in Edmonton. Period. The attention to detail and the passion with which these people roast coffee is something else. I don't buy coffee anywhere else anymore. If I don't have Rogue Wave, I simply don't drink coffee. There are plenty of good roasters in Alberta and in Edmonton. But Rogue Wave is in a league of their own. Well done guys!

The transparency the team at Rogue Wave gave was spectacular. I was looking for a certain grinder and messaged them about it and they were completely transparent with me about what I should get and how they get it. Though they are a roaster out of my province they are completely worth it to order from despite this. Beans are terrific as well making the experience all around amazing.

I was looking to purchase an inexpensive hand grinder I could use for espresso (Reddit's subreddit for coffee suggested 1zpresso JX Pro) after searching for a Canadian coffee shop, Rogue Wave Coffee popped up. It appears that my great experience ordering coffee gear from Rogue Wave is shared by many! I ordered a 1zpresso grinder online along with some Ethiopian beans. The delivery to Montreal was super fast (less than 48h). The 2 samples of coffee were most welcome, as were the old beans to prime the burrs :-) Plus the Ethiopian coffee beans they roasted were quite delicious. Overall a very positive experience! Kudos to Rogue.

Latte is my favorite, i tried a lot of lattes from different coffee shops in Edmonton, this was the perfect latte i ever tried, the balance between milk and the coffee was perfect and the taste is amazing...i just wish they had indoor seating in this chilly day... Come for the bathrooms stay for the coffee. By far the best coffee I have ever had. Great ambiance, great people, great bathrooms. I love coffee though not as much as the people sitting beside me drinking 3 coffees each!!! Highly recommended! Ask for one of the Daves to make their magic for you.

This place has great coffee, and the service is always decent. I wish they would stop using Oatly oat milk though, it is imported oat milk and the ethics are iffy and the environmental destruction is large. For a 3rd wave cafe, I would have expected more emphasis on locally made products and ethics.

I’ve had such an amazing experience with ordering some coffee equipment. I did an online order from here for the 1zpresso J2 grinder and Clever dripper. I originally looked on Aliexpress, but Rogue made their price point very comparable, plus I get to support a Canadian company to boot. I made a mistake of forgetting to add something to my order, and they promptly replied and redid my order so I didn’t have to pay for extra shipping. But I love the fact that they went the extra mile and included seasoning beans for the grinder as well as some sample packs of their freshly roasted coffee. From start to finish, I’ve been thoroughly impressed. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to visit their store, but their online team has made me a customer.

Funny how some free beans were enough to make my day and encourage me to write a positive review. I guess that's my price for selling out? Overall, the grinder works fantastic (credit is probably due to the manufacturer instead) and it was pleasant experience.

You get what you pay for with their high quality roasted coffee.
