Used to love coming here every Sunday. Was a regular since they opened but over the last month, month and a half really noticed a change here, the staff are unable to get orders with more than a couple items right, their frappes are overly liquidy and when my GF specifies to make sure they're not essentially soup in a cup, she gets looked at like shes the jerk for asking. We have decided to take a break from Ole smokes for a few months, we really like the place so we are hoping it will pick back up.

Tried both the Buffalo and Elk Panini. Delicious!! The coffee was on point as well ????????. I recommend the campfire mocha if you happen to stop in. And to top it all off, it's roasted right here in GP; great way to support local! 10/10 would recommend!

Really like this place, employees are very polite and helpful. My wife and I used to go to Starbucks everyday after work, we now go to ole smokes. Also there breakfast sandwiches are to die for, haven't tried the panini yet but will soon. Grande prairie needs more places like this. Plus the wifi is insanely fast for public wifi.

Flavourless soup which I paid $6 for what seemed like, a half cup. Grilled cheese was soggy, cold and all around yucky. Coffee was served lukewarm. Pretty brutal.

TRY this place if you haven't already! BEST COFFEE in Alberta. From regular coffee to smoked coffee, to macchiatos and lattes. Even their limited summer time drinks like their specialty iced teas are better than at other places like second cup or Starbucks. Decor is cozy like a hunters cabin, major style points. They have amazing prices and cool designs for insulated travel mugs and thermos, including a 2L Growler. Their sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches are the best I've ever tried if you like game meat. They have Bison and Elk (sliced summer sausage style), also they have Turkey if you're not into the big game. The price for a breakfast sandwich and a macchiato comes to pretty much the same as Tim Hortons. You can even select unroasted beans, whatever type you want, and then select whatever type of roast you want and they will have them roasted for you in approx. 24 hrs.

Live down the street from this cafe. Top notch coffee. Obviously they have smoked coffee but their other desert drinks are amazing. The deserts are great there cinnamon buns are great as well as their donuts. Friendly helpful staff. The only thing that would be great is id they added a lactose free milk, they carry soy but my children are lactose intolerant and picky so I often tell them to suck up, doesn't go very well. All in all probably the best cafe in Grande Prairie

The coffee is amazing. The Maple Stout is by far the best coffee I have ever had! Bold, Smokey, and smooth. Ole Smokes will now be a regular online stop for whole bean coffee. If you like good coffee I also recommend the Bugling Elk, Smokin Cherry and Sipping Whiskey

Nice looking place, but not much different than the last two coffee shops that were in the building. For $4 your think a cafe mocha would at least taste good. It's worse than a cafe mocha at tim hortons and I hate that franchise

Not a great experience... stopped to grab a frozen drink. It was about 6:30pm I checked to make sure open sign on before entering the drivethru. Waited at speaker,no response, said hello a few times. Drove to window tried to get anyone’s attention, nothing. Parked vehicle went inside, there were customers at tables and 2 woman at the till talking to each other. I walked up said hello, excuse me, I was in drivethru and no one responsed. She smiled and took headset off and said oh it’s not even on. I then paid and ordered my drink. I just thought they could have apologized, the didn’t seem to care if I ordered or not.
