Coffee is very unique here. Doesn’t taste like your typical coffee. They offer free cupping events so you can learn about coffee tasting and the brand they use. Their seasonal menu changes often so there’s always something new to try. Their roasts are the best toast ever, hazelnut will forever be my fav.

Revising my review to better reflect my current tastes. So, this is, if not, one of the top three best coffee places to go. The others being Sought X Found and Phil & Sebastian in no particular order. The Britannia location has a host of different pour-overs if you're feeling adventurous as well as a great summer menu (espresso milkshake FTW) with the other Monograms having their own unique quirk. Aside from some amazing coffee, it's beans are also amazing to bring home if you want to try certain blends or even new stuff like 'micro-roast' lots. Either way you won't be disappointed for its coffee selection and their knowledgeable staff.

This is Monogram Coffee's beautiful third café location in the beautiful Britannia Plaza off elbow drive. It is bright and airy with two full walls of windows and a patio for summer time iced drinks and cold brew coffee. Their coffee is roasted by them right here in Calgary and their dedication to quality shows in every cup they serve. They feature delicious pastries from Butter Block. This location also features international roasters each month so that you can explore the literal world via coffee even though you might not be able to travel to all the places.

Monogram Brittania is a lovely third-wave community cafe that features a rotating supply of coffee from different roasters, in addition to the excellent Monogram coffee that you can find at other Monogram cafes in Calgary. They also have small-batch, exclusive soft-serve ice cream in a partnership with Made by Marcus, which is pretty tasty too. A great community cafe, pushing the boundaries of good coffee. Recommended!

If you are looking for a good coffee, or a refreshing treat, this is the place to go. A beautifully designed seating area and nice outdoor patio make this a great place to chill. The facilities are clean and always well stocked and the staff is very friendly. The coffee is amazing but what really steals the show are the Coffee milkshake and the coffee soft serve. I believe they are the only Monogram location to offer these treats. They are a must have, especially the milkshake, it's to die for on a hot day. Parking can be a bit dicey but it's ok if you don't mind a little bit of walk. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I was here for the first time and was impressed. The amosphere was casual, comfortable, and super clean; not a ton of space which wasn't a big deal. As a vegan I tried the house blend nut milk in a london fog and it was delicious!

The latte's are pretty good, they now sell ritual donuts which are always excellent. It can be pretty busy in the morning. It seems they only have 1 person working the opening shift.

The ambiance, interior design and layout are all to my liking. It was clean, friendly staff, great service and the food was better than I expected even for a sandwich. My only concern was the espresso that I had which came out sour for my taste, and this is mostly due to either being from a single/regional/specialty origin beans or perhaps a light roasted beans were used, but I didn't bother asking. Also the price on the espresso was $3.25 which to me is just ridiculously overpriced. This coffee shop may be one of those so called "3rd Wave Coffee". It's just not my preference and I would prefer more of an Italian espresso.

This is a cute little location with good coffee, however I would not advise going here with very young children if you don't want to be outside. Because of its size & COVID restrictions, the few tables fill up fast. If you aren't lucky to grab a seat inside, you are required to wait for your drink outside & if meeting somebody, must sit right next the road as their outside patio is closed. Travelling with an infant in a carseat, I had to wait outside in cold weather for my drink and the only option to sit & visit was right next to busy Elbow drive in the cold wind. It was a short-lived visit and I will not be back to this location. Incredibly inaccessible location for moms. Wish I would have known this before checking this spot out.

Monogram is certainly one of the top two coffee roasters in Calgary -- if not the top. Their flavour has a little something extra that you don't see elsewhere and their in-house creations are amazing. Visiting Monogram is always a highlight of the day -- and experiencing its taste outside of the shop is always a pleasure.

My Fave Coffee Spot! There are some gems in Calgary as well, but even if there is one other different shop in the south, I take drives to Altadore and enjoy the patio! The Staff is always soo lovely, they always understand my Quadshot Americano request.. Every coffee Shop on Van Isle always without question knew what I meant... and other places here look at me sideways and then I have to clarify haha They are always so friendly, and kind and quick! I always have one coffee shop I make my home base anywhere I live - on the island even though there so many top top notch places - Caffe Fantastico was always my heart and my home base they all knew my name and who I was and hugs and all that! I was 4500kms from home and that place was my home. Monogram reminds me of that. Covid has put a damper for sure on getting to know staff but either way - it's always a treat and their Coffee keeps my soul alive.

Cozy place with delectable coffee & baked goods. Their Pumpkin Spice Latte is the perfect and not overly sweet, which I love. The Condensed Milk Latte is also a tasty treat! Staff is always very warm and welcoming when we're in the area.

Their brittania location has a residency program that brings in beans from around the world giving customers the opportunity to try new coffees that they would otherwise not get a chance to try. I also tried their hot chocolate and was happy to find that it wasn't super sweet. The service was also good.

Been waiting to visit here since I moved to Calgary (couple years back!!). Finally got a chance but couldn't spend the time in the cafe as I'd like to cause of COVID. Barista was so friendly and helpful with recommendations on the day we visited (it was Valentines day!). Dark hot chocolate was spot on. Quite minimalistic interiors, and it smells DIVINE. Can't wait to go back once things get back to normal. PS. Their cups and mugs are so cute!

The most interesting Monogram location if you're interested in Specialty Coffee in Calgary. A place to try some rare beans from variety of roasters. The pastry game here is also ON POINT. Highlights: - Many different (20+) micro-roasted coffees brewed on kalita. I tried the Ethiopia Damo Carbonic process, and an Ethiopia Gesha #86 from "the cupping room" in Hong Kong. - The staff are very skilled & coffee knowledge is very high. Noticed freepour latte art swans, and baristas able to articulate coffee in an understandable way. - It's a BRIGHT place. No more dingy dungeon feeling coffee stores. Challenges: - Tight space with 'interesting' seating arrangements - Can get very busy, which makes asking employees for suggestions and etc a bit more challenging.

I can't leave half of a star so you get an entire star. Good job. While the staff are nice and the interior is pleasant, the coffee is over priced, the wait unnecessarily long and coffee intolerable. Quite honestly one of the worst In the city. If I. Going to have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for my order at least make it worth it. I will not be returning and will be sure to recommend to everyone I know that they should avoid Monogram at all costs.

Good pour-over coffees, the drip coffee is good. The pastry case is well stocked with better than average selections (the almond crescent was quite delicious). Prices are on the higher end. The ambiance is modern, but the layout is clunky. Good wifi reception. Good place to write your novel or that next great presentation at work (lots of laptops open).

We make espresso with their beans twice a day and our only complaint is that we wish they would add a location somewhere in the deep south:) Also, sometimes we are met by a host/hostess that will have brewed coffee selection available for those looking to taste certain bean flavors before purchasing.

This Monogram is amazing. The baristas always have smiles on their faces. They always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Especially Chris. Such a friendly person and a coffee wizard. The only issue I have is the lack of seating. There is lots outside but when it's gross out there is only about 6 seats inside and sometimes multiple seats and space is taken by people working. I would like to spend more time in here but it's tough to with no seating!

The seating is somewhat more comfortable in this location as compared to the original, but despite being larger, the layout feels wrong. One table is only a few feet behind the espresso machine, and it's awkward to sit there as one does not want to interfere with the barista. It's an ongoing theme with Monogram that their coffee is fine, but the spaces they have to enjoy it in are awkward.

I liked the honey mandarin latte which surprisingly taste even better as it gets lukewarm. The matcha latte is average, nothing compare to a real Japanese matcha latte. A letdown considering I drove all the way from South. Not worth for an Instagram photo either as their 16 oz cup didn’t have their label and the art design on my matcha latte was below par. I brought a book thinking I can at least have a read, but the place was awfully cramped. I had to wait in the cold for a take out which is unfortunate if you are not warmly dressed. The almond croissant was dry, but tasty. For the price I paid and 15% tip for a take out, not worth the trip.

All monogram locations are very consistent with their coffee, service and quality. This particular location seemed to have more options of baked goods, soft serve ice cream and other misc drinks. The service is friendly, the location is clean/tidy and there's some unique sitting opportunities here (typical coffee shop size). As it's a corner shop, there is a lot more natural light that flows through. Everything is worth a try here and at all their other locations. Favourite go to is the London fog - you will not find anything of that sort anywhere else. Would also recommend their cookies - soft and moist.

The cafe itself is cozy but it can get full very fast. I can see myself enjoying some of the pastries here while I work away on my laptop/tablet. The reason why I gave it 3 stars though is because I find that their coffee is too sweet and/or acidic for me in general. I have not tried their dark roast yet so I will be revisiting this review once I try their Popayan the next time I'm in town.

No need to go into detail regarding my order. It was a standard menu item and it should be easily executed without issue. The question is why do something if you don't know or care about what you are doing? Adding a specific request for a drink and getting it wrong is one thing, and somewhat understandable if it doesn't come out just right. But not capable of getting the basic version correct? If a customer asks for something and you don't know how to do it, just say so. But then again, it doesn't really affect one because it is the customer that is at a loss for both their time and money.

Cosy and friendly atmosphere in the cafe, latte and mocha both super good! We had a delicious avocado toast and chia pudding (great thanks to the host that gave us another pudding cup when the silly me opened and spilled the cereal..) would come visit again!

I love this place! The drinks here are fantastic and they have quite a lot of unique drinks to choose from. I've tried a couple now and the espresso milkshake is amazing! The staff is very friendly and make great recommendations for drinks and beans. The coffee beans are incredible and you can tell they're roasted fresh. Can't wait to try even more drinks and more coffee beans!

What a wonderful little local coffee shop. They roast their own beans and make delightful trendy drinks. And why not support local? The service was excellent and the shop was so clean (in fact they were sweeping and mopping while we were there - not intrusively but taking pride in the place). My girlfriend had a hot chocolate which they made with great care and design. I had a Winter Special with a Juniper berry flavour. Now I hadn’t tried that before and they were very good about letting me try the syrup before making my drink. I also loved the cups - no handles but nice and thick to keep your drinks warm! We also split a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant. I totally could have eaten the whole thing on my own it was SO good. The filling was amazing and the pastry was so flaky- a must try. I’ll be back here and so should you be!

Great coffee and great snacks. The selection of pour over options is usually great too. Plus the staff is rad! My only complaint is 4/5 times you go in for a sit down, there will be no room as most of the tables are taken up by someone writing a screen play with an empty coffee cup, a laptop and half their office supplies on the table.

Had the condensed milk latte; foamy, tangy coffee taste with a bit of sweetness. The almond croissant super decadent, buttery and crispy, with crunchy almonds on top, delicious almond paste. I do suggest the croissant! Space outside to sit down and handy little tables to place drinks. Inside, the layout is a bit strange. Has seating all along the walls. Local hotspot, could be an issue finding parking. Pretty good ????

I like the coffee they roast and I think its the best everyday coffee you can buy. Your in house experience may vary tho. Ordering something like V60 in a rush hour may not be the wisest decision. I wish they bring anerobic coffee more

Coffee and products are great, Issue was a 45 minute wait for an espresso milkshake that didn't happen... tried calling the business ahead to see if it was available but no answer... if the machine wasn't working I wouldn't have wasted my time and just went to bullet coffee in cambrian heights instead... but I heard great things about their espresso milkshake... I guess it wasn't good enough to keep the machine in proper functioning order.

One of the best coffee places in Calgary. I love the accessibility of this location. Parking can be a bit tight at times, but there's usually something. Seems like Monogram roasts their own coffee beans now, but I have yet to verify this (they used to be supplied from Transcend Edmonton). They sell their coffee beans at this location. They also offer amazing pastries! Their hops cold brew is quite tasty. They can also make you espresso with tonic (pictured) - one of my favourite summer drinks! There's a small patio in front of the coffee shop. Also the menu offers an espresso milk shake made from Marcus ice cream, but I have yet to try it. I wish Monogram would have more options for kids drinks, though.

As a New Zealander I love my long blacks but few cafes know what they are. Monogram knew what I wanted and delivered just that. These guys craft their coffee, the barista was measuring each shot by bean weight which results in consistently great coffee. I'm not sure what roast they used but it was delicious. Happy to have found my new local.

I love Monogram coffee. Their staff is super knowledgable, helpful and make buying coffee beans cool. I really prefer the Britannia location because I find the staff friendlier at that location. I like the airy, light and open feel of the establishment. I like to support local and Monogram is doing a great job of representing YYC. Way better than burnt Starbucks!

Love trying different baristas! The gentleman working there was helpful and friendly, made sure to get our feed back on quality and taste. My partner had London fog; has an edge to the taste which we both enjoyed, and I had my usual cappuccino... smooth taste. Subs n bubbles will be back!

While I can’t disagree with any of the positive reviews here, I am surprised that there aren’t more mentioning the ice cream! I love that they do their own coffee soft serve here, especially considering how close it is in proximity to Villiage Ice Cream. It is a good problem to have when you need to chose between two great places. Aside from that, the coffee is great. And I do like that they sell and brew beans from other places. Having seating outside is nice, especially in the summer. Also, if you really want to fit in, consider getting a Mac Book.

Monogram has delicious coffee! However the layout of this place is pretty small so often it is hard to find a spot to enjoy your cup of coffee. Also last few times I have gone, there has been a lack of staff which can have you waiting a bit longer than you expected...overall great coffee if you don’t mind waiting a bit or having it to go :)
