Had the Verona medium roast to-go, quick and very good roast. The place was clean, atmosphere was chill (opened patio style seating, vaulted ceilings) and service was friendly (helpful when I asked about the packaged beans).

I’ve tried to find the best tasting coffee in YYC and I think this place has nailed it. The Comox Valley location is my hometown (and my gramps built the shop there) so it’s wonderful to be able to have a little cup of home in my new home here in Calgary. The cafe breve is both thick, rich, and the perfect late morning patio pick-me-up! So darn tasty.

Coffee is excellent. Cups are a bit on the small side. I'd rate higher but an epic fail on their part has cost them any further business. You dont charge me for 2 small coffees just because YOU have run out of large cups. You charge me for the large and give me 2 smalls.

The coffee here is absolutely incredible. The menu is evolving (and in my opinion quite exciting) constantly and the creative minds responsible for it are some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I work at the gym down the street and I'm here everyday. Oh, and the patio is amazing in the summer. Just go see for yourself!

Very nice flat white, and London fog. Coffee didn't have many bright or bitter notes, which was exactly what I was in the mood for (hence flat white). They use loose leaf tea, which was also really nice. The bathroom looked like it wasn't swept in a while, but the patio was awesome. The open face bacon avocado sandwich was also really good. Perfect snack.

Hidden Gem in downtown @milanocalgary ☕☕ @milanocalgary is only a couples of blocks from my apartment, so it's only walking distance. Lucky me ???? Working in coffee industry ever since I graduated high school made me appreciate a perfect cup of coffee. I had a Medium Killer Mocha & Mini Chocolate Croissant ☕???????? Oh boy oh boy, the coffee was perfect, the Croissant taste more cinnamony ???? You can sense their passion of coffee in your drink ???? This's place is perfect if you want to get away from your hectic life. Just chill & relax, bring your book or your music like I did ???????????? Even when the weather is chilli you can seat on the patio, coz they have fire place on the patio to help keep you warm ???????? At night time is more pretier, since they have these lights on the patio. Totally feel so relax here ???? Gorgeous cafe serving great coffee. Barista was so good with recommendations. Spent a Sunday afternoon studying from here, was busy at times and it was not too crowded. Lots of space to sit inside and outside. Ambience - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Coffee - 4/5 Food - 3/5 Prices - 4/5 Pet-friendly, enough light even at the corner table, cute tote and coffee mugs to shop. Not many food options for vegetarians and couple options they had were quite pricey for the food portion. Closes at 3pm on sundays and 4pm on other days.

Great coffee and a small nice spot for a quiet cup of java. We ended up going because of the Hot Chocolate Festival and it was by far my favorite cup of cocoa. I liked the fact there were some board games so the kids and I had something to do while drinking cocoa.

I've tried coffee from many countries, but it was the worst coffee I've ever had here. I felt that the beans were not fresh. Crucially, the employees were unfriendly. I don't want to go again. It was a waste of tips. This store review is exaggerated and the coffee was no more than normal. You'd rather go to Tim Holtons.

I really wanted to love this place - love the concept, location and atmosphere but the coffee fell far short of my expectations. I cannot speak to the espresso as I haven't tried it - but the brew coffee just tastes...off. Kind of like they need to clean their machines out, if that makes sense. Same with the pour over (not sure if the water came from the machine or in a separate kettle - if it came from the same machine used for the brew, maybe that is the factor affecting the flavour).

I like that there's the option to choose various featured espresso (some might cost +0.50). My personal favourites here are the "Turkcicle" and "Stove top" as they have the right sweetness level and don't overpower the espresso. Overall pretty cozy cafe with a cool patio / outdoor seating space. Staff are consistently friendly.

The quality of coffee here is perfect - taste to sweetness to overall quality. It is a little pricier than most but is worth what you get. They also serve butterblock croissants here and also a few other baked goods. They have a small patio out front and some indoor dining room (when that is available again).

The coffee tasted burnt, and the food selection in the case was lacking. Also would have loved to see some environmentally packaging of some sort. Maybe it was just that particular day as I've only been once, but there's other more consistently better choices out there so I won't go back. *Edit* My mistake, their packaging is actually 100% biodegradable! Good to know!

Great cafe! The barista helps you choose which roast you would like for your drink. I can't remember which ones we chose but we tried 3 different types and liked them very much! The drinks were well crafted, artfully crafted, and very delicious! The space is clean, accessible for wheelchairs, and has a spacious patio! Washrooms are pretty small but still wheelchair friendly and I love that they provide feminine products in the washrooms!! Very thoughtful cafe that also has books, pamphlets, posters for events, and board games so you have something to do!

We went for the annual YYC Hot Chocolate and this place didn't disappoint. Service was fast and line up wait was short. Kudos to the woman behind the counter today. She did an amazing job multi-tasking. On to the hot chocolate, it was topped with whipped cream, maraschino cherry and crumbled brownie if my tastebuds remembered correctly. As soon as you sip it, the coolness from the cream hits and as you slowly drink it the hot chocolate warms you up. Not too sweet for my tastebuds.

Very disappointing. Recently went in to get coffee today and noticed paying customer being treated unfairly. Paid customer was being told to leave because they appeared to be tired while at their table. The ambulance was called to “deal” with the situation. I found it very disturbing and unjust and I hope that that I never witness this again and will never visit this shop again. Have respect for paying customers.

I ordered a medium and it was the small size of other coffee places. The machine for paying was not wiped down between customers and it automatically asked for tip percent what I have never liked at a coffee place. I did check Alberta Gov website and bistro servers get min wage so I dont feel the tip percent should be assumed on customers. The coffee was enjoyable, server friendly and patio nice, but I wont go back.

Found this gem while visiting the Mission district. Quick and friendly service. Contemporary atmosphere and some seating available. The coffee is amazing, and is priced fairly low, for the overall quality. Perfect crema on my Americano. Highly recommended.

Great coffee and friendly staffs! I tried their americano and it tasted perfect. It was not sour or bitter. I also ordered a sandwich and they made it on the spot and it tasted good! Furthermore, everything looks clean and they have a huge patio. I’m glad this place is so closed to my house!

Amazing! The shop is very well decorated. The espresso in my iced Americano was perfect. It did not need any cream or sugar, in my opinion. The person who helped me find espresso beans was super nice and had great recommendations for their products. I could not pay for my order (due to them only having "tap" for cards and me not having "tap" or cash), but he set me up with a tab to come back and pay the next day - which is incredible. Will absolutely be returning for more of everything.

The coffee here is actually really great, and noticeably better in my opinion to a lot of other competitors. It is a bit expensive, but if the location was a bit more convenient for me I would preferentially go here. Ambiance is okay, there is a nice patio but isn't necessarily a cozy shop I would feel compelled to hang out in for longer than necessary.

A little on the pricey side but the coffee tastes great. We had the vegetarian breakfast sandwiches (with cheese), which were also very tasty. Has a nice outdoor seating area with a faux fireplace and nice decor overall. Recommend this place for a casual coffee date.

Sunday afternoons at Milano's are the best. The cafe is super cozy and the barista's are funny and friendly. There's board games and chess games for those rainy days. The espressos are on point! Never burnt and the matcha lattes are creamy perfection.
