My wife got a coffee here and said I should try it out some time, so this morning I stopped in and bought a Spanish Latte. That was one of the best coffees I've ever had. This is a hidden gem of a coffee shop.

Little hole in the wall cafe, one of the last real cafes downtown that serve authentic drinks made in the traditional way. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a real barista, I come here whenever I'm in the area.

The owner is a master at his craft! Roasts his own beans and is extremely attentive to every detail, ensuring the best coffee experience in Calgary. I go there every day for a latte and a cheese scone. Can't think of a better way to start the day. If you haven't yet tried Il Caffe, you're missing out! Thanks Slovodan!

Fabulous coffee and delicious fresh sandwiches. The owner is super friendly and passionate about coffee "science" and he has taught me alot! He even sells his own beans. His staff is very polite and nice and not pretentious at all. Not your typical coffee shop staff. Lots of comfy seating inside, and chairs outside as well. This place is a gem.

I've always had a great experience at this coffee shop, the owner is extremely personable. I've mentioned to quite a few people to visit Il Caffe. Unfortunately during the pandemic I haven't been able to visit, however I ordered beans in which the order arrived promptly and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be placing another order in future.

Certainly one of the best coffee in town, served by a very friendly and passionated owner that enjoys sharing his knowledge, passion and experience on the whole coffee chain, from growing it to your cup. The home made food (sandwiches, muffins, croissants, scones, etc.) is excellent too. I always go there when I can. Highly recommended!

Best latte in Canada! The only thing I've ever had that even came close was in Belgium. Great drinks, great service, great atmosphere - you have to try it, it's fantastic!

Superb coffee at resonable prices. The owner is a true artisan and a precise technician. He even controls the temperature that the beans are ground at! One taste and you will experience the difference. Menu choices are varied. Summer favorite: affogato (ice cream drowned with espresso). Recent addiction: cortado - low temperature steamed milk cappuccino which has slight sweet taste. Their bakings: italian spiced (& spicy) cheese scone and the croissant are pure decadence.

They roast their own coffee beans, the owner is always around., and is very knowledgeable about coffee. If you are rating cafes in terms of coffee, this place would find a spot in the top 3 places in the city.

Authentic and made with care! In a concrete jungle of Starbucks, second cup, artisanno, and Tim Hortons, it's a treasure hunt to find a quality cup of 'Joe'. When I first came here I had just came back from Italy, so I was looking for a genuine cappuccino, and not a large hot milk ( =p Starbucks). The owner was very knowledgeable and very good at his craft, he explained his beans, even offered a little biscotti to go with my drink. I have been going back ever since, and bringing friends too. I hope this locally grown small biz sticks around for a long time, this is definitely a "quality over quantity" joint. Prices are in line with other shops and always service with a smile. Try the cheese scones very fluffy and filling.
