REVIEWS OF Iconoclast Coffee Roasters IN Alberta

Don Lynass

My favourite coffee shop in Oliver, and well worth going out of the way to visit.

Henk Vogelaar

Very fresh healthy choices at a reasonable price. Nice old setting homey feeling in the restaurant. I really enjoyed their food. Thumbs up for a quiet out of the way place for coffee and food in Oliver area.

River Valley Printing Co.

I really enjoyed the new location in Oliver, the coffee and service was good, I ordered a cappuccino but it was more of latte, coffee still was very nice!

Kyra Sklar

Long coffee bar, urban rustic interior, rich espresso, & mismatched mugs. Must I go on? But in all seriousness, this place is great, there are lots of wall plug in's when I need to do some work on my computer!!

Laura Voskamp

The vibe in this Cafe is excellent. What a great neighbourhood spot - I visited alone after a long flight, while I was waiting for my friend to finish work. The regulars were friendly and offered local insight.

Tanner Pye-Richardson (TannerPR)

Really great sense of community. It just feels like such a friendly environment :) Coffee is excellent, and everything is baked there. Location is beautiful

Kaitlyn Budgell

Iconoclast's espresso is *chef's kiss* and their granola is second to none. I have considered moving to Oliver for the sole purpose of getting breakfast here every day. I suggest anyone disparaging any of the barista's customer service right now to perhaps try working a customer facing job during a global health crisis! Mad appreciation to y'all for being there to serve me lattes while the world burns.

Tej

Awesome place and the coffee is superb. Would here come again.

Andreas Cikota

My day is simply not complete without my latte, the pleasent service and smile I get every time, thankyou very much for fueling my day

Maxan Dyer

Nice space, as in its laptop heavy, so a little co working space vibe. The hot drinks are sub par. The food is ok, meal and snack options are limited, no vegetarian, vegan or gluten free options.

Paul Moyer

The best cafe I have ever been to in Edmonton! Exceptional coffee, great location, very welcoming

hb1337

A unique place with quality products. A very cozy spot to meet a friend or spend time with family.

Tianna Panizzon

BEAUTIFUL!! Just stopped in for a quick drip coffee but loving the new space (and the coffee as always ????)

Scott Rutherford

Great coffee stop on our 80 km cycle. Nice setting, latte was very good and we will stop here again!

Cory Johnn

Went in for a coffee and breakfast croissant, and just gotta say, the dude who helped me was so personable. He took the time to answer my questions and help me make a decision on the breakfast I was oh so looking forward to. Thanks man!

Stuart Saumer

Breakfast croissant is a 10/10! Very good coffee.

Edward Greiner

Amazing food and amazing coffee. A true gem in our city.

Dan

The new Iconoclast is fantastic. A bustling community place that is alive but not too noisy, a welcoming sanctuary for a visit, a book or a laptop. And, of course, the coffee.

Georgina Martin

Great little spot for coffee, treats or a quick bite. Beautiful building

Local Guide

Delicious coffee, cool location, they deliver beans, they make you happy. ???? There's good reason Shane spends 60% of his life time there.

Darryl Molloy

Friendly staff who all adhere to the Covid-19 protocols. A great chai latte - well worth the visit!

Belinda

I so badly want to love this place. I've been several times the last few weeks as my closest Starbucks has closed and I live very close. I've tried several items from the menu both drinks and food. The coffee is quite good almost always. Sometimes I get about half a cup when I ask for it to go, I'm not sure why. It's not always. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere is quite lovely. Almost everytime I have been I get the same barista. A gentleman with longer dark hair. I've tipped each time, usually $1-$2. He's never been kind, never been polite. He doesn't greet as I approach the counter, doesn't speak at all, just hands over the debit terminal and throws my coffee down on the counter without a word. I don't need people to always be pleasant. I chalked it up to a bad day or a bad week the first few times but it's been pretty consistent. Now I'm wondering if I've done something wrong. Did I order a difficult beverage? I've never customized anything? Am I not welcome at this sort of joint because I don't fit the right demographic? I'm feeling very unwelcome which is unfortunate because as I said, the coffee is almost always great!

Jeremy Schmuland

Great cup of coffee in an incredible space. Very nice (sort of) hidden gem in Oliver. Plenty of other great businesses in the building as well!

Kevin MacDonald

A very nice local coffee shop. People who work there are very nice and helpful. A comfortable space with good internet. I didn't see signage on the building so you need to know the address to find the location.

Alexander Philipp

If you are looking for a off the path home style coffee shop this is the place for you. The woodwork and minimalist style interior is framed by a lovely island centre. Whether you want to sit at the bar and sip your coffee or head for a corner to work on the next project, this is a fantastic location.

Jerry “The Jerk” Kaiser

Fantastic latte and most of their drinks were under $5, definitely worth checking out. Also, the building and layout are unique, with a bunch of spaced out seating outside. Cool place!

Aidan R

Excellent cappuccino at a good price ($3.75). Very nice environment with wood bar and lots of seating. Good baked goods. Lovely old brick building with exposed brick. I came here to read and I am not disappointed. Update: the food is amazing.

Bizz McKilligan

Good coffee, friendly staff.

Nick Uhlig

Great space, friendly staff, and good snacks. The coffee is a bit darker roast than I normally prefer but that's just personal preference, it's still very good. In my experience the shots are also pulled short (and strong!) which isn't uncommon, so if you want a longer pull be sure to ask for it. Again, just down to personal preference. Try the lemon poppyseed cake with your espresso, it's delicious.

Sukhi G

If you are looking for good coffee with an awesome vibe, this is your place. Such an amazing little hidden gem in Edmonton, I would definitely recommend you pop by atleast once and you'll be hooked! Great place for good conversation with friends, get some work done or just a quick coffee pickup, The service is always azing as well!

jeremy shepherd

It's mostly take out but has table seating in the common area and outdoors. Still the best!

David Gartner

It's a cool coffee shop located in a former telephone exchange building. Some or maybe all of the beans are roasted on site.

Jordyn Saxton

AMAZING pastries, they have reliably good coffee as well!

Samantha Hunt

Great coffee, food and staff! Also amazing location ????

Kenneth Cantrill

Had a great first experience here. Amazing baked goods, awesome coffee, beautiful surroundings and antique decor. Impeccable service and reasonably fair prices. I will be back and that's for sure!

Sherridon Routley

For the coffee connoisseur, let the two Dave's find an interesting roast for your daily routine. Outside seating currently might limit their traffic, make sure and give their independent business some support!

Joshua Reddekopp

Ping pong, great drinks and a cool bike culture!

Kyle Tower

Have visited a few times for coffee and sometimes breakfast. Staff is always incredibly friendly and the coffee is very good. All the food items I have tried have been top notch with solid value. Great neighborhood coffee shop

Elizabeth Cruickshank

Great coffee and nice atmosphere.

Kelsey Glubis (Tien)

You get a free espresso or americano when you buy their beans!!! Great coffee, food and atmosphere. Love the Oliver Exchange building!

John Lewis

Nice selection of coffees and wines.

Brenden Zapotichny

Positioned perfectly behind the Brewery District, Iconoclast serves as the perfect summer coffee shop. On a beautiful day, you can guarantee that their garage doors will be open and bikes will be pulling up. Enjoy work or fit in a quick game of ping pong.

Natalie Channon

Super cool location. Cozy, unique, and they have incredible coffee. Staff here are knowledgeable and they sell a good assortment of coffee related goods. I just wish they were open later so I could spend even more time here. Great place in Edmonton. Totally recommend.

Tidings M

The location is stunning, filled with a lot of history and diverted dreams. The exchange building is worth a look and to have a coffee shop to help with the resolution of time is amazing. Iconoclast could be better, they have moved a few times and with each iteration they seem to embrace their origin story with less gusto each time. The staff is morbid and tired, the coffee could be worse, and the food is OK for an early snack. I hope they can achieve that 5-star experience that every artisan seeks, someday soon.

Daniel Drozak

Best BLT in Edmonton. Hope they bring it back soon.

C R

I love coffee, but I would say Iconoclast has some of the best coffee in Edmonton! This location has more room to really settle in. A great place to bring your laptop for work if you can find a space. Also nice to be in with everything else in the Oliver exchange building... Sometimes the smell of fresh baked bread wafts in from the bakery and makes the experience even more delicious. Plus the architecture and the meeting if old and new is cool to look at. In the summer it's nice to grab a coffee to go and hang out in the nearby Paul Kane Park.

Patricia Bright

I am a serious Iconoclast coffee regular customer. Angel is an excellent employee and the rest of the crew. Always super nice and the coffee is amazing every time. NO complaints here. I do sometimes go to their other locations but they are never as clean, friendly or hot fresh coffee.

Kacper Ruta

What a lovely establishment. The prices are one of the lowest I have seen in cafes of this caliber and the coffee is great. Glad to have found this little gem.

Kyle Logan

Great coffee and amazing food!

Eugenia M

Great coffee place. Loved the vibe and the staff was super friendly! It’s a hidden gem. It wasn’t busy when I visited and I actually loved it, great place to study or work on a project ????????

Doug Hunter

Run by here all the time but finally stopped in for a latte and was not disappointed. Definitely heading back soon.

Ryan Spotowski

Iconoclast is a hip coffee roaster in Oliver Exchange. The staff is friendly and upbeat. They sell roasted beans in recyclable packaging.

Colton Coppock

The coffee and food is great, but the staff here will make you feel very unwelcome.

Zim Mer

Busy, but hip and trendy. Good food too!

Tallitha Campos

I love the atmosphere more than anything.

Stephen W

The breakfast croissant and a coffee is the best way to to start your day! I would not recommend getting it if you're in a rush as there is a bit of a wait for the croissant, but if you do it's delicious!

Ryan Guenter

Awesome little spot with lots of space and everything you need.

Sean S

Great coffee and sandwiches. Good set up for distancing and patio to eat outside. Can get busy

Maeven Flores

This place is great, the tea is delicious. Just make note that it's only patio seating currently, bring a coat! It said online that there was dine in but that's not the case. It's getting too cold to stay outside now a days

Zoe Quinn

Nice outdoor seating area (constructions going to be a pain for the next little while but that's hardly the businesses fault). Coffee is more oriented for those who like rich and not sweet drinks (the neighbouring coffee shop offers more sweet stuff). Its a good local place.

Mike Harvard

Excellent atmosphere and attentive staff. Great coffee and food.

Sasha Vedybida

Like this place. Good quality espresso

Damián C

Edit: there seems to be a discrepancy between the kitchen which is outstanding, and the front of the house which is now bordering on appaling. Last time I went in I wanted to get out right away because of the sheer lack of courtesy from the cashier/barista/whatever. Last time it was cold coffee, this time it was cold people. Unattentive and dismissive. Next time I'm speaking with the manager because frankly, the girls up front are chasing customers away. Get somebody involved and competent to front your business. Below is my original review, before I took a star off. First the good: atmosphere, people, food, freshly roasted coffee, all excellent. Uncomplicated place, it feels much more inviting than other places that cater to "in-crowds", you know where they are... The pancakes that were on special were simply phenomenal. Something so simple as a pancake, but you realise just how much other places disrespect the ingredients and the execution when you have a top notch experience like here at Iconoclast. Simply the best-tasting, most perfectly executed pancakes I have ever had; anywhere. Now for the sloppy: the espresso-based coffee, not great. Lukewarm and a bit of an off flavour to it. Other people have commented on this, I think maybe the baristas need to adjust something along the process. Also, a flat white to stay is rather small, and I mean tiny. It's no café au lait, which really that is what is meant to be. The brewed coffee was good, but again, more a reflection of the quality of the coffee than the execution as it was slightly weak and lower in temperature that ideal (though not as bad as the flat white). I feel as though they could really improve on the coffee making, they certainly have the coffee roasted down, and the kitchen is just excellent. I will come back and hopefully I will add another star.

Shannon Routley

Iconoclast has always been great but has steadily improved over the years. Flat whites, cappuccino and lattes - always consistent. While I miss riding my bike right into the open space of the old location, the new Oliver Exchange building is a great destination. Oh and they’ve improved their mochas considerably.

Laurin Paterson

Iconoclast coffee and bread pudding is the best way to start a Friday.

Lauren Jarvis

Great location, atmosphere and quality of drinks and food. I love their London Fog, regular latte and their chai latte is surprisingly really good. This is often a stop on my morning walk. Staff are very friendly and efficient - super fast service. There are great little local shops surrounding the cafe in the same building. I highly recommend Iconoclast

Sejla Burdge

Cute place with modern vibe; however, it took 15 min to get a cappuccino and even though I stayed, coffee was in a paper cup. Good, earthy and rich tasting coffee.

Andreas L

Mmmm,,, yummy coffee. Nice robust roast. A little on the pricey side at 3$ for the one size of drip coffee available but it's a quality bean so treat yourself

Aaron Budnick

Good coffee! The place was really busy, a testament to hoe great it is

Kirk Dewhurst

Great coffee shop. The ambiance is so nice. The service was excellent. The London Fog and Chai Latte my wife and I had were prepared fast and hot. The quality of the drink and the dessert we had were very good. There are washroom facilities available here and the mens is clean. My wife and I enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back again.

Sydney

Great coffee, laid-back atmosphere, and a few gluten-free options (always appreciated)! I also enjoy their eclectic array of mugs - gives it a homey/cozy feel.

Wes Inaba

Such an incredible spot in a glorious space. If you can find parking, you will be rewarded with amazing java and try some of their house made treats as well. Highly recommended.

Ken Franczek

Great spot. Comfortable vibe...and Red Seal chef level food quality.

Lance Pedersen

Nice spot to stop for a break when biking.

Allan Taylor

We only had time for a brief visit but we can tell this is going to be a favourite. Good coffee, easiest the best looking coffee house in town. Just needs to start staying open later!

Whimsy Ashley

Wonderful experience, delicious cappuccino and toffee cake. Staff could be a bit friendlier though. Would definitely recommend based on the drinks and treats.

Tyler Konig

Not impressed with the quality of the barista and her knowledge of store policies. I’m a regular customer and I’m willing to take my business elsewhere

Sarah G

It was fine. Does not have nearly the charm of the original. Went to go again on a Thursday evening at 6:30 and they were closed. I thought we lived in a city... meh. won't be back.

Gabrielle A.

Best oat milk flat white I've had in Edmonton

Jamee Nall

Great coffee and tasty wraps! Also, great job with Covid safety! Two thumbs up ????????

Mellissa Toma

Coffee is great- staff are wonderful- in a cool building. They move around the art they have up featuring heinous politicians, super disappointing, why I’ve docked 2 stars off my review. If you take those down, I will gladly leave a 5⭐️ It’s beyond understanding why any small local buisness would remind us all of a hateful xenophobic ableist while serving coffee - it’s as if they support that type of character ???? :(

Cotie Guzman

I was bound to review this place eventually, I work down the block. If the food wasn't so good this place would undoubtedly get a worse review given the service a person receives every time they come to the till. Never a smile. Barely customer service beyond necessary measure to accomplish the tasks they are obligated to fulfill for their job. Just now they left my food sit on the counter for about 10 minutes. I had to sit in the hall (COVID) and they told me they would come and give me my food. I went inside to grab it after setting up shop (laptop, books) to work and the lady just said: "Yeah, when we're busy we can't bring out the food some times." That was it. Why tell me you would bring it out at all? No apology. Fortunately you're a cute little local shop so people will support you regardless of how subpar the service is but eventually people will talk. UPDATE: The soup was even worse then the service. The tomato soup was watery and lacking flavor.

Cool coffee shop at the Oliver Exchange

You want to be here! Iconoclast is an excellent example of the vibrancy of the third wave coffee movement in Edmonton. 13 years ago I used to frequent Edmonton every weekend. However, I have not been in some time, and needed a great place for coffee and a snack to start my Saturday. Enter Iconoclast. This location in the historic Oliver building is something to behold. The space alone is one of the nicest places to sip a coffee in town. The historic building lives on and has been spruced up with an elegant modern feel. My latte was excellent and my wife opted for a really tasty quiche. While my kids and I had a tasty treat from Brio Bakery next door. The staff were very helpful and extremely courteous. This is a lovely space to take in. The room is bustling and the bar seating around the central bar is a great place to cozy up. The patio on is also a great spot to take in the morning sun. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back. Soon! You should head by too!

Adam Mitchell

What a treasure in the middle of Oliver. The old Oliver Exchange looks very unassuming from the outside, but step inside, and you find the perfect collection of community amenities including this fabulous coffee house. Warm, comfortable, conducive to meeting or working while still feeling lively and full. Great locally roasted beans and good food.

Paul Kevin Anderson

Five stars if they ditch their playlist or just disconnect the speaker system, although the ambient conversation tends to business strategy and demeaning, pseudo-therapeutic ratting out of siblings, friends, neighbors, ex's etc., particularly during the ratting-out "we care" high season. Great coffee, good food only overcharged once--in three visits--by the same traveling barrista who overcharged me elsewhere, so not the fault of management. Great assortment of chairs and tables. The pre-schoolers "wood and steel". easily the best in lieu of being permitted to just lie on cold concrete wood, ir carpet. İf the seed in Cerrilos is a bit daunting, visit İconoKlast and neighboring businesses.

santhosh surneni

One of the best roasters in town with a simple yet cupworthy selection of single origin beans.

C. Vaughan (Cas)

Best coffee in town, best beans in town, best baristas in town!

Justin Bennett

My go to coffee shop! Love the atmosphere and fresh vibes. Coffee is exceptional. You can't get a fresher coffee anywhere else.

Jorge Mario Añez Delfin

I have to say, the espresso was brutally bad. There was a special where they offered a complementary espresso shot with the purchase of a bag of beans. I bought a bag and got my shot to go. Jumped on my car and left as I was tight for time. I tasted the espresso and nearly crashed (it was that bad!) It was the saltiest espresso I ever had. Under extracted coffee can be salty, so I thought it may have been the barista may have dialed the shot completely wrong. I got home and tried dialing the shot on my own machine. It was just as bad. I was able to make it almost drinkable, but it still had that salty note that I could not overcome. I don't know if it's just that batch or what but I can honestly say I have not tasted a worse espresso. I was also greated (or not) by the smileless guy at the cash register. That made the experience even saltier. Edit: My wife loved the coffee in a lattee… I will increase it to 2 stars for this reason as taste is a very individual thing. 1 star removed for me not liking it and 2 stars removed for the terrible customer service.

Nathaniel de Ruiter

Not the best coffee in the city, although still very nice, and the atmosphere is awesome. I'll definitely be back to support and enjoy this beautiful collection of businesses at Oliver Exchange.

Ben Fisher

Iconoclast is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Their beans are always awesome and the baking is top notch. I come as often as possible and felt so lucky to have found them early on at their original spot. I tell everyone who loves coffee to try them out!

fjørd

Gorgeous atmosphere, gorgeous coffee. Can't say much more.

Yasser Ali

Cozy! Good coffee ☕

Sara Elizabeth Gerrie (my_indigo_blues)

Really good carrot cake. Beautiful building, nice design. Chill

Senay Yemane

You guys should have clear sign that there are no outlets in the lobby. Got bamboozed in thinking I can bring my laptop here while I buy a coffee.

Nicole Hankey

This was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon after visiting the 124th street market. Really enjoyed their brewed coffee and avocado tartine. The location is in a beautiful building and I'm looking forward to going back.

Michael McDermott

We are on the hunt for the best coffee roasters in Edmonton, and iconoclast is definitely in the running.

proboscis66

In its elegant simplicity, the breakfast sandwich is a culinary masterpiece. A perfectly fried egg on a bed of lightly seasoned salad and a slice of bacon heaven rest on an open faced croissant with a touch of aioli. All hail Iconoclast's talented young chef behind this creation.

Sean Malden

Great spot in a sweet building. Love the turquoise chairs.

Tehilalla Joseph

One of the best lattes in the city. Baked goods smell so good and sometimes (usually) I can't say no.

Baz T

GREAT COFFEE :) Overflowing with character, beautiful location, good service, yummy snacks. A higher end kind of hipster/fancy place with a great location. Treat yourself to just have a plain iced Americano and stroll over to Victoria Promenade and slow down and enjoy the day.

Danielle Killam

A wonderful local coffee spot with delicious food, quality coffee, and pleasant staff

Bal Kang

Great coffee, great space and lovely staff.

Matthew St James

Great location, awesome interior. I really want to like this place, however, the last few times I've gone the staff have been pretty rude and looked like they'd rather be anywhere but there. The coffee is decent, the food is alright, but what really brings it down is the attitude. It's stressful times so I've given them a pass, but this is the third strike so I'm out. Perfect example - when a customer is waiting 10+ minutes for a sandwich and politely asks for the ETA, the response should not be a snide "yeah, it takes a couple minutes." It's that kind of repeated behavior that has led to this review.

Kim J (KaeJay)

My friend had their latte and said it was “excellent, magical even” which is very high praise indeed. I had the PB cranberry oat square and it was delicious. No prices on any of the order board menus I saw which I didn’t like. I’d like to know how much something is going to cost before they ring it through.

Walter Gordy

Played chess and drank coffee! This is a great place!!

Marie

Friendly baristas, plenty of tasty options for beverages & snacks. Location is neat looking, with areas available to accommodate larger groups. Rightly so, this cafe is busy! I recommend arriving a few minutes early.

Rhonda C

Great coffee and friendly staff!

Michael Penner

It is cute. Nice place to sit and have a coffee, with places to work or meet inside. The product is pretty good, but the portions are a bit small. My sister-in-law loves the coffee, but it isn't my wife's style. I had the chai latte, which was good. Less strong than some shops, but the flavors were balanced--which was nice. Good place for some variety.

Rick Cammidge

Amazing vibe and great coffee! Best Cafe in the city.

Curtis Michals

A great space in Edmonton. Let’s do this in east Oliver now!! Please? (Closer to Grant mac but south of 104th?)

Cassandra Wade

Love the interior of this cafe! Mocha was good, as well as the feta dill scone and espresso brownie

Kathy Put

Cool space and great coffee. We'll definitely be back.

yy zeng

Coffee was usually very good. Today's latte is a disappointment... The espresso shot was on the bitter side and the milk froth is not impressive.

Miriam Rauch

It's back and better than ever baybee! The location is GORGEOUS, great ambiance, quiet, and in a wonderful neighbourhood. The coffee is amazing (as always), but the new wine list is definitely something to check out. Also, almost all their bar snacks are gf!!!!

Joel Danyluk

Really great place for business meetings even for group sizes from about 5-10 people

Andrew Quinteros

This place has an amazing atmosphere, and an even more amazing burger. Who would've thought that a cafe has a burger MILES AHEAD of five guys and fat burger? Just goes to show how freshness and ingredients matter. Iconoclast killed it.

Roland Labbe

Excellent cup of coffee in a great, laid back environment. Don't give up on trying to find it. It's west of the Hellenic Canadian Cultural Centre on 105 Avenue, and well worth the search!

MeowMeow LeMew

Fantastic place, plenty of distanced seating inside the building, although it's very popular! It's a great excuse to wake up early on the weekends- come on down and get a fresh scone, before there is no place to sit!

Nils French

Super relaxing vibe (went on a weekend around noon). Great music, pure and natural decor, lots of natural light. Intentionally a bit hard to find, but it's here.... look for the sidewalk sign. Rich, full flavour coffee, a great muffin. Love the wood stove.

Wesley H

Awesome coffee. Food is good but was much better preCovid when it was fresh from the kitchen (-1star)

MARVIN Neumann

Nice place. Food good. Service good.parking not good.

chris puls

This is a great replacement for the Starbucks we lost on Jasper and a nice place with friendly baristas in Oliver.

Jon Boldireff

I buy coffee beans for my wife here. I've gone to many other places around town, but she says these are the best and, price wise, they're also better than most other roasters.

Kelly X

Love the atmosphere here, located in a building with other great shops.

Chris Coates

The breakfast sandwich was light and delicious - exactly what I was looking for. I will come by again for sure. Great atmosphere as well.

Richard C

I have left my original review up as I originally wrote it because I owe this business an apology. My comments below are entitled and wrong because I was swept up with the self-centered rage that permeates the air these days. Many businesses are struggling just to keep their doors open and must take opportunities as they come. The owner was thoughtful in their response to my stupid comments. Iconoclast is very good coffee shop with friendly staff and excellent pastries. My original review read: "Unbelievable. I arranged to meet colleagues here at 4:30 for a business coffee and found the place closed for a private event. Not even any take away coffee. I’ve never heard of a take away coffee shop that just closed for a private function. I feel this is really disrespectful of their regular client base."

T C

Best coffee in town. Make a killer cappuccino. Solid food as well. Both the smash burger and grilled Cheese are on point. Love this place. Friendly staff as well.

Lilinbee

We had a breakfast croissant and london fog, they were so good!

james chan

Great place to chill out and have some good coffee. I like they have seating outside to enjoy your coffee ????

Autumn Schnell

Generally, a great place to grab a coffee. A very affordable coffee in Edmonton, with the standards of a 3rd wave coffee shop. I wish they would put more care into the ethics of their coffee. My go-to is a latte with soy or oat and it is usually spot on. I wish they would put more care into the ethics of their coffee, and they would get a 5/5 for me.

Tammy-Jo Mortensen

Great neighbourhood hangout. They don't ever update their website or social media though, so if you're looking for info you might get misinformed.

Kerry Aarnoutse

VERY light and fluffy cheese scone. I’m actually not wholly convinced I wasn’t eating a croissant... or croiscone.

James Dennis

There's a reason it's hard to get a seat here ... The coffee and atmosphere are great - an ideal little spot for a meeting. And they've got free parking out back. Yahtzee!

Andy Brown

Great coffee, nice patio. The ham and cheese sandwich is one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I have ever had.

Ryan Cherfan

Iconoclast is the place I go when I want to skip out of work on a Friday and get an iced coffee. Their drinks are always delicious and the granola, breakfast sandwich, banana bread, and espresso brownies are killer! Do yourself a favour and check out an awesome local cafe serving great food and drinks. You won't regret it :)

Jason Beesen

Believe the hype. Splendid atmosphere, excellent coffee, wonderful foodstuffs (but this isn't a restaurant.) Unconditional recommend.

Scott Reddick

Good coffee and atmosphere. Worth a visit. Hard to find if you don't know where it is as there are no outside signs. Website currently gives the wrong address.

Joanna Trepess

Wonderful coffee, service, and atmosphere! Couldn't ask for anything else! Love coming here to get some work done or even to just read a book and enjoy a nice latte.

Jacinthe Ly Dang

Great coffee at lower prices than most places. Americanos there are excellent. Beautiful space with a lot of natural sunlight. Friendly staff. Compostable cups.

Brad V

Their coffee is great, specifically their cappuccinos and espressos. 5/5 for this. Their food though, specifically the burgers, is horrible. 1/5 for this. I’ve had comparable burgers from 7/11.

Rob MacDonald

Pretty cool place. Hard to find from the street since there is no sign, but maybe that is there way they planned it. The coffee is great tasting, staff are friendly. Interesting "industrial" type of décor. Could use more food options! An enjoyable time.

Brendon Restall

Love the coffee and atmosphere. Get a free cup with a bag of beans too is icing on the cake. I like how they switch up their roasts and haven't been disappointed yet.

Brendon Restall

David Clark

Great place for a well priced quality coffee and snack

Lo Me

Coffee is good. I love the location. Oliver Exchange building is beautiful.

Lindsey Peng

was rejected for dine in because I am not from Alberta. I showed them my papers for Ontario vaccinations records, they checked it first and then decided to tell me that they only accept QR codes here. So I proceeded to download my Ontario QR code for vaccination and they told me the QR code cannot scan on their app. and hence I am not allowed to be seated despite that I have been fully vaccinated since June. Never had this problem any where else. Take your business to some place with more common sense.

Edwin “ForecastZero” Au

Overall, great cafe. Food and atmosphere were amazing. Me and my girlfriend were disappointed with our flat white and soy latte. None of the notes in the espresso really came through.

Hidden gem in Oliver! Go for a visit!

Iconoclast and its new location fosters potentially the best community experience in any of the local coffee shops. The pricing is reasonable, the quality is superb, and the staff is a dedicated, consistent, kind group of folks that try their best to accommodate everyone. Every person is welcome. It's a very inclusive place. The seating is super comfortable, whether at the bar, sofa area or community table, the wifi is dependable and fast, and the service is simply exceptional. I am always impressed that the menu changes and there are many vegetarian and vegan options. It's the best.
