Loved this cafe! The decor and the food were delicious! And the music was at just the right volume. Would definitely come here again! This is the Rose Latte (subbed oat milk). The servers were very nice and took photos for us when we asked. Service was great!

The place is quite neat. Go and try it if you have not already Be prepared for restaurant level of wait times if you take food though. They can maybe also expand the menu a bit. I have been there just a few times with some company and between us we have already tried everything.

Hutch can be pretty hit and miss. I've had both excellent and really poor cappuccinos here. The food is good, however. The biggest upside for hutch is likely that there is almost never a wait. 9/9 times you'll be in and out with a coffee here before you make it to the counter at the other coffee shop a block south. Recommended for a quick cup, but less so if you're sticking around a while.

Had a wonderful experience at Hutch Cafe today. Both latte macchiato and flat white are wonderful, same as the avocado toast. My baby enjoyed her fries and her restaurant experience as well. Great service! Great decor and atmosphere. Will come back again!

Food was mediocre and a bit overpriced for what it is. Presentation of the food seemed rushed, and sort of messy on the plate. Cafe manager was very pushy with sales. When asked about the details of the product and origin, he seemed very unsure and gave me the run around for about 5mins when he finally said it was made in China. I felt that for the entire interaction, all he was concerned with was how much i was going to spend. Won’t be coming back or recommending to any of my friends.

Honestly this place could have a lot of potential, given the right circumstances. I have to go with a one star because I did a pickup order, and when I walked in I saw that none of the staff around the counter were wearing any sort of sanitary protection. No mask, gloves, hats, any of it. Normally I would probably brush that off, but in a time like this I thought it was mandatory?? I know they're pretty new, so hoping they can turn that around quick because I honestly can't recommend anyone to a place that isn't taking this health situation seriously... Maybe next year?

Lovely cafe serving the finest quality dishes I’ve enjoyed in a long time - one example is a Lobster Benedict in a dark brioche bun with superb homemade hollandaise sauce. The careful attention to detail is much appreciated and the fresh ingredients in each dish is apparent. I hesitate to reveal this wonderful establishment publicly as my selfish side would like to keep this place to myself, but I would like them to stay in business and continue to visit them, and so I am sharing this gem of a cafe with you all. Please do stop by and support them.

We tried Hutch Cafe for the first time. It was an amazing experience. Short Rib Beef Sandwich was awesome, same for Avocado on Toast. Tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. The specialty coffee made by syphon was so good that I will try it again and again. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be regular customer. Thank you.

After reading the reviews on this place we decided to give it a go. I was disappointed by the service, the barista taking our order wasn’t that friendly and barely looked into things when I asked her about the ingredients of a particular dessert. I had to ask the employee to clean our tables, which were two connected ones and after asking her to nicely she cleaned one and left, then I asked her if she could clean the second one and she said how about you guys move to this other table which is already clean. I did not appreciate that. Drinks were good, food was mediocre for the price.

Wow, this is a beautiful restaurant. The room, decor, copper serving pots, the awesome syphon coffee makers, even the water glasses are beautiful. Someone put a lot of time and effort in. I haven't been 'inside' a restaurant for a long time, given our new world, and takeout was getting old. Even the good stuff. I craved an elegant room, some service and a trip outside my neighborhood. When I saw the ad for their lobster set, my mind was made up. I phoned ahead and reserved the lobster. The tables are well spaced, and all patrons are gently reminded to put on their masks when they enter or move around. Safe and comfortable. :) The Rose Latte is one of a number of beautiful coffees, and was delicious and unusual. Loved it. My Lobster Roll was perfect. Unmolested, perfectly unadorned save some butter/mayo and herbs, and lettuce, on a perfect soft roll. The bisque was equally good, traditional, served in that beautiful pot. My guest had a beef sandwich on a french roll that looked almost as good! We both figured we'd be taking doggy bags home, as the portions are pretty big, but we left not a crumb... the riverside park across the street was a good spot to walk it off. Service was friendly and professional, love the uniforms. Gary, the manager, came over to welcome us too. Nice. If I sound like I'm gushing, it's 'cause I liked it a lot. And will be going back. There is so much more to try. A syphon coffee maybe...

This by far is one of the best cafe's in Calgary! The food is amazing, best baked mac and cheese I have ever had. Their menu is unique and delicious and their coffee is heaven. I can't wait until Covid is over so I can sit and enjoy their coffee that is made with a vacuum syphon, soooo cool! The service is always friendly and welcoming too.

I just happened to find this café this past weekend, sitting at a less than 10 min walk from my place. Not only at a great location, but I really enjoyed their hazelnut latte - which later I learned to be one of their specialties. The jam that came with the croissant was heaven too! The environment is cozy and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely making this my go-to café in the neighbourhood, whenever I need to catch up with work or just relax / chat with a friend. I'm glad that I've found Hutch Café as our province starts to reopen. Great job you guys! See you soon!

We went for birthday party that had preordered appetizer, soups and desserts....everyone was served their soups except us and until one of the hosts mentioned our table we weren't served our soups. We ordered lattee machiatto it was warm not hot. Our table was full of used plates and utensils which weren't picked up until we asked the waiters so we could eat our main course. As it was brunch menu really eggs are eggs as in taste whereever you go. Poor service. Rose macaroons were a delite. Sorry will not come back.

I've was really excited to try Hutch Cafe, but after being seated in a fairly empty restaurant I was asked to move tables twice. I believe they were trying to accommodate larger parties that were calling in reservations, but I was rather annoyed by their disorganization and left.

This place was just what i needdd today! Brought my laptop and got some work done. Place was quiet and the ambience was chic. They had great music (on low of course) and the french toast with banana was beyond delicious! Not only that the lattes i tried were off the charts! Sooo good. If ur looking for a sugery latte try the rose latte. And for a less sugery latte try the london fog! The wait staff was super polite and even wearing masks u can tell when they smiled! This place is in the heart of downtown. Near the river if ur up for a short walk afterwords. Its about 22mins from my house but its worth the trip and i will be back! Thank you for the great start to my morning today guys!

Came for brunch a few weekends ago and was disappointed by the overall experience. Our server did not check on us after getting our order, another staff member was the one to drop off our meal. The portions in the meal were small, I was shocked by how many potatoes I had - it came with less than 3 baby potatoes total. The food itself was tasty but nothing special for the price and size. We were never asked if we wanted more coffee or water and the only time the server came was to give us the bill.

A unique french inspired coffee and brunch spot. Only ordered their coffee to go and this review is based on that plus atmosphere. Although intimidating upon entering (a front filled with their own branded pots/pan), staff readily available for orders, it seems to be a nice spot to dine in when that is available again. On the higher end of costs $20 for a meal and upwards, I don't doubt that their quality will be reflective of that. Their coffee, very well brewed and tasting - non generic and strong. Coffee and drinks go from $3-8 dependent on drink style and choice.

Beautiful little café tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of the city. The décor is sophisticated but welcoming and comfortable - food was extremely fresh and tasted amazing. The Hutch is a nice cafe and I would say I am a regular there until today. Since the beginning of Covid, this is only restaurant that I have visited as frequently. The first time we discovered this Cafe we were blown away my the service and cleanliness of this place and so we kept visiting frequently. Typically on the weekends, we go running by the river and then go to this cafe for coffee and Brunch- this was our plan for today as well. At first when we went in today we were asked where we wanted to sit? We choose the patio, but after a few minutes we realized it was really windy outside as we requested to be seated inside. The waitress refused to sit us indoor because we were only two people and the tables with two chairs were not available. She did not want to give us the tables with capacity more than 2 just incase more customers showed up. Those empty tables were not reserved. That was really offensive and disrespectful to refuse customers that were already there and to save tables for customers that may show up. Furthermore, the don't even have any tables that have 2 people capacity. I am certain the reason for them not serving us was something else. Very DISAPPOINTED and anyone going there -be aware, you may also not be served due to their "future customer forecast".

Cute little brunch place, nice decor and close to the river for a nice walk afterwards. Food was good! My only complaint would be that the service is very sllloowww! It took a long time to order. I also would have preferred to have our tea/coffee before our meal. Everything was brought out all at once. Waiting to get our bill to pay also took a long time.

Got a cappuccino and cookie from Hutch earlier today. Really enjoyed the coffee and the chocolate cookie was a great accompaniment. I bought my wife a sesame-topped cookie which was a little different than we'd seen before. Not bad, but the chocolate one was better.

Hutch Cafe has beautiful and delicious food to go with it's wonderful coffee. It's right off of the bike path on the south side of the river across from La Camille. Highly recommend it for brunch after a long ride or walk

Went for high tea today. Most memorable experience I've had in a while. The savoury selection was to die for and the service was very welcoming. Cheesecake is the best in town in my opinion.
