REVIEWS OF Coffee Bureau IN Alberta

Absolutely wonderful Americanos and Lattes nicely complemented by friendly service. Not the largest place, or a good spot for studying, but great as a coffee bar

The loveliest cafe in Edmonton with the best espresso, friendliest baristas and a killer almond milk latte.

Great coffee joint downtown that feels like it came from NYC. The little holes in the wall like this remind you of a larger city. Not a huge space by any means, but the coffee and lattes are always great and there is a small selection of baked goods if you're on the run. If you are in town for a meeting, definitely check this place out while you are on your way - the service is always speedy to boot.

Gert VK

The best tasting coffee and the greatest service! The staff and owners are very welcoming and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. The cafe is light and fresh with minimalist decor that is well curiated and organized. They have a nice flow even thought it is a small space, you never feel cramped. Quality and Artistry is what sets them a part from other cafes in my opinion - every beverage is carefully made with the best tasting coffee I have had in Edmonton in A LONG time!

Great coffee and service!

Charles Dykes

Coffee Bureau is one of the best coffee houses downtown in Edmonton. It's a cute little hole in the wall type of place where you can grab a delicious hot drink. They have a brilliant coffee blend and they know exactly what to do with alternative milk which is the biggest problem with a lot of coffee places. Top effort lads.

Junior Karl

Great coffee and customer service keep it up guys ????

Great coffee shop downtown with quick service and coffee. They have oat milk and almond milk as alternative options but it costs $1.25 so their drinks can be a bit pricy.

We've got some good coffee shops in this part of downtown now, but I have to say this is my favourite. Along with their excellent espresso, they serve pastries from Fan Fan, the best French patisserie in the city!

Kelly Reynar

My 11 year old and I had an fantastic experience here. He is celiac and they were attentive and checked the ingredients of his order. He said it was the best hot chocolate ever. Perfect temperature and it was so creamy. I had a splendid chai latte per their recommendation and it truly did not disappoint. It has a bright warm atmosphere and a genuine care for it's customers. We are not regulars and were given such specialized care! Highly recommend!

Mark Bennett

I've been here a couple times and have been pleased with the quality of coffee and friendly staff. In particular I was pleased with the smoothness and taste of the soy latte, and of my sons hot chocolate. We'd go again for sure!

Connie Bryson

Tiny gem in downtown Edmonton. Excellent coffee and small selection of tasty pastries. Small seating area but don't let that stop you. In the summer you can walk across the road and sit in the park. Friendly service. Worth going out of your way to get coffee here.

Sherridon Routley

My favorite flat white right now

Brianna Mitchell

I almost don't want to tell everyone because I'm afraid you'll all come and take the good pastries! If you've been to Paris the taste will bring you back. Real "pain au chocolat", ham and cheese (some kinda amazing Swiss or maybe its gruyere) and all the other stuff is awesome too... oh yeah they make great coffee as well and they make it look easy.

Coffee Bureau does espresso right! I think they may have the best cortado downtown, and it's actually on menu. It's a bonus to me that they are brewing local beans (Ace Coffee Roasters).

Meng Lee

good coffee and pastry in homey little cafe! Love it!

kendall jenkins

Gagandeep Bhamber

One of my favorite coffee places in the city. Great espresso!

Ryan Spotowski

Coffee Bureau is a great local coffee shop with a good selection of baked goods. Their patio outside is a great spot to grab a quick coffee and people watch on Jasper Ave. They also have a good selection of coffee beans to take home.

Brian Cote

Cramped with few (awkward) seating options. Felt I wasn't trendy enough for the over priced coffee. Won't go back.

Allen Wurst

Maria Ho

Great

A true "Hole in the Wall" coffee shop. Size does not diminish the excellent coffee they brew up. I tried their "Cuppa Joe". Pretty good but I like my coffee a bit stronger. I recommend this coffee shop. This my first visit.

Pitt Aguirre

Like any other coffee shop, they do not offer nothing but super expensive coffee.

Devaughn

My Friday morning treat! First came here on June 15, 2015 and have never had a bad cup of coffee since! Easily one of, if not the best coffee spot in the Edmonton!

Andrew Rosychuk

Great coffee

Tallitha Campos

One of the best coffee in the city. You should try the Americano (this is the best!) and Chai Latte. The iced shakarato is also a must-try in the Summer. It’s not up in the menu, but you could ask the barista. The owners and staff are adorable and nice to all their clients.

Jim Whitesell

Cozy decor - espresso was fresh brewed and very good. Staff was very friendly.

iam footer

This locally owned and operated java pouring establishment serves all the delicious coffee type drinks. The beans they use are from a local roaster, allowing you to taste the difference. It's a small location with only a few seats, but great atmosphere.

Jeremy F

Smooth Americano.

Sara Kalke

One of our favourite local coffee shops. Tiny inside but still a couple spots to sit looking out over Jasper Ave. Awesome coffee by ACE and the most delicious latte in town.

Jamel Stevenson

Great coffee

Alison Minkus

Great coffee and AMAZING bagels. One of Edmonton's finest.

Damián C

I echo most of the positive reviews here so I'm not going to rehash them. However, I will add that regular coffee comes from a thermal container and in my opinion the temperature is too high. This has a detrimental effect on the coffee, and so your mileage may vary depending on when you get the coffee in relation to when it was brewed. Espresso-based coffees don't have this problem, of course. I also think that asking for tip at the till in a place like this is a bad practice. They are great people, don't get me wrong, but this trend among quick stops with limited service that ask for tips at the machine is getting really old really fast. It puts me off, you may not care about it, and that's just fine.

Joel Trinh

Excellent service. Excellent coffee ☕, smooth and rich.

Jeremy Harany

The 'zines are what MAKE IT

Ryley Chalmers

Best date bars & granola bars!

Came from Manitoba to check out the coffee and interior design and was rejected because the espresso machine had already been cleaned - - before closing time! I understand wanting to go home early, but I also know small business marketing.

Best coffee in Edmonton

H- Y-L

A friend & I come here frequently for coffee -though I get the hot chocolate-. Great vibe, cosy seating with a cool street view. Bike parking on the sidewalk, limited to 2, but considering Bureau's cosiness, that's a good percentage of the seating capacity. PS: staff are great, too!

Melanie Miriam

Such a sweet spot!

The size and decor of this place is very reminiscent of an Ikea catalogue dining room. It's friendly and cozy, but the quality and selection doesn't warrant a detour as there's plenty of equally respectable cafes nearby.

Lindsey Margo

Superb fresh baked goods, fresh coffee, environmentally friendly and locally owned! A true jewel in the heart of downtown

Deus Templorum

One of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in Edmonton and the pastries are fresh and delicious. Awesome coffee place to hit up in Jasper. Seating is limited.

The best espresso drinks in the city are here... Perhaps, the best I have had in Canada. The staff are so friendly and sweet. The pastries are truly divine.

Cassandra Wade

The cafe itself was really nice and cozy and they had a decent selection of pastries and drinks. Tried a croissant, which was great, and a vanilla latte, which was not overly good and way overpriced. Would like to try a different, more reasonably priced drink next time.

Rob JH

Have lived downtown 5 years now, best coffee in all of downtown.

Shawn Andrews

This place is really awesome! Their lattes are delicious and it's rare to find something as awesome in Edmonton. The coffee I would say is on par with many cafés in Europe. Absolutely love the plain croissant! One do the best in the city. The baristas are also wonderful and you can tell they put a lot of love in every cup. If you want a fresh break from Starbucks and McDonald's or even a fresh beak from all the normally trendy places in Edmonton give this place a shot! It's busy for a reason.

Shaheda Mahmood

My favorite coffee place.

Eliza Halter

So far this is probably the best coffee I've had in Edmonton. Incredibly tasty

felix lee

Don't let its location -- a little shop in an older dental building -- fool you. This small, minimalistic-but-trendy shop serves outstanding lattes and mochas. The latte is wonderfully flavoured and has no bitterness at all. The mocha was a terrific balance of chocolate and coffee and is of the perfect sweetness. The last time I had coffee this good was in the trendy and hip coffee shops in Austin.

Levi

Best service in town, delicious coffee to go with it

Kyle Annicchiarico

Best drop coffee, and lattes around

Justice Hemming

I have been here once before and I remembered the coffee being really good. So I brought my partner her to try. I got latte and she got a mocha, they both had a warm milk taste with no coffee taste was there. It was quite disappointing.

Minh V

Best coffee in the city, the crema on their americanos are insane. Have never found another place that can give me that same creamy smooth flavour. The owners are amazing too!

The smoothest, tastiest oat cappuccino I’ve ever tasted. Also gave the pumpkin muffin a try and did NOT regret it.

Daniel H

Love their cortados! The staff is super friendly, not that common in most coffee shops downtown.

Nicholas Williams

Just ordered a vanilla latte here and it’s amazing. Tiny little place with about 10 seats total but that only makes it feel more cozy. Definitely worth a visit.

Roxanne Parlby

The coffee here is good. Very good. If you have coffee from here you will never bother wasting your time at Starbucks or Second Cup again. The service here is also very good, friendly, personable. They keep it simple, good coffee and a nice selection of pastries. If you are from Melbourne, Australia this is the coffee you have been looking for in downtown Edmonton.

Elle Dalton

Just had the raspberry scone - best scone I've ever had.....so good!

(Translated) Excellent espresso coffee of Italian style in a neat decor. The waiter was friendly and offered us glasses of water himself. (Original) Excellent café espresso de style italien dans un décor soigné. Le serveur était sympathique et nous a proposé de lui même les verres d'eau.

Ah to have great coffee, only to find that it's a tad bit far away. Luckily, my nephew and I were in the area! Dekerf Steven

Liz Janzen

Best cappuccino in town!

Jade Auclair

Best coffee downtown. They serve ace espresso and are consistent in their results. The place is very small so it is perfect just to get your fix if you fell like you are a coffee connoisseur, go the coffee bureau and you wont be desappointed. Check their hours of operation before you go as they arent open all day everyday.

Chris Hung

Hello iced mocha. Yum. Great, cozy, friendly coffee place.

Amazing coffee.

Kaitlyn Paul

Amazing, smooth espresso and delicious baked goods!

Jason Beesen

Excellent coffee, possibly the best in Edmonton. Tiny space, I feel guilty for lingering.

Arthur Smith

Meh.

Haris Ahmad

All their coffee is excellent. You’d be hard pressed to find anything much better in downtown. The pastries and baked goods are also very good. It isn’t really a place you can sit and hang out though; there’s some space but not a whole lot.

Scott Humphrey

High quality coffee and skilled barristas

Yury P

Amazing coffee. One of the best places if not the best in town in terms of coffee. Family owned. Really enjoy their lattes.

Sandy Phillips

The guys are awesome

Aleksander Muras

Excellent coffee, great service, friendly atmosphere, very good pastry.

Milica L

Amazing London fog. Super yummy ham and cheese croissant.

Jenn Quinn

Did a takeout of Americano, rhubarb fritter and apple fritter. The fritters were cooked perfectly but didn't have enough fruit distributed evenly to make every bite.

Max Amerongen

Best coffee in town!

Bradley Biamonte

Coffee is a very personal thing. There are Tim Hortons people, Starbucks people and then there are the coffee nerds. If you are exacting in your standards of what makes a great macchiato, cappuccino or americano then the Bureau is for you. This tiny shop Is dedicated to one thing…. Great coffee, and they deliver. None of the watery, over foamed abominations served at so many coffee shops in this town is found here. Just pure Ace coffee that ground and brewed in a way that would impress an Italian at breakfast.

James Piedra

Coffee was amazing

Owen Chubb

Best cup of coffee downtown. The first coffee shop to use Edmonton's own Ace coffee. It your downtown and you love coffee do yourself a favour and stop by. You're worth it!

Ken Kuzminski

Great coffee downtown

Karen Bai

Very good coffee.

Hammad Tawfig

Hands down one of the best but not quite the best. Very cozy nice small place. So small it gives the expression “coffee business is crowded” a new meaning. Is their coffee worth few blocks of walking to in the cold? Yes it is.

Zeinab Amin

Great people; great service and even greater vibe with a cozy atmosphere.

Gary Newhouse

Hated it. No heat! Coffee was ok but $$$

Navroop Tehara

Aaron Rhodes

Friendly staff and the best coffee for my tastes.

Jessica Greydanus

I really enjoyed the coffee at this little coffee shop. The service was very friendly as well.

Diana

Edmonton’s best coffee shop. The Americano is not bitter at all, especially when you add some honey - it’s perfect. The cappuccino and lattes are also smooth and rich.

Screwyou Knope

Like it. Everything is great: the coffee, the food, the vibes. The only reason I knocked a star off my rating was because they use what appears to be granulated (instead of confectioners) sugar in their scone glaze.

Syd Chock

Best coffee and people!

Jesse Godby

Great coffee, good atmosphere. Small and cozy.

Aaron Camero

Best americanos in town!

MandM Gowda

Great coffee place ...

Stephen Cornish

Always friendly, as well as a good coffee shop, and good coffee. Food and coffee have lessened over time, maybe due to the Epidemic. Also, has regular deliveries of St Viater Bagels, local pastries & donuts.

toni chui
