The chocolate donut was dry and did not taste like chocolate. It also taste burnt. The Nutella donut was similarly dry, and the dough was tasteless. Really disappointed.

Wow. I have loved visiting Ace Coffee in the Whyte Ave area and was completely delighted to find out about this Garneau location. It is so cute - as to be expected. The staff is engaged and delightful - true tens! I came with an appetite last Saturday morning and had heard amazing things about their breakfast bagel sandwich. Sadly they were all out of their bagels - AND I AM SO GLAD! I decided to go with the OG breakfast sandwich, as Ace designed it to be ????. It comes on a croissant!!!! I am not sure I will ever be able to trust the person that recommended exchanging a croissant for a bagel! The sandwich was INCREDIBLE. The croissant was perfect, fresh veggies, avocado and that sauce...yum. (Bad photo, Great sandwich) Yep, I will be returning as my Saturdays deserves that breakfast sandwich over and over again!!

Even for locally roasted coffee, it’s quite overpriced for the size provided. Additionally, I’ve had a few instances where my latte was served luke warm, maybe a thermometer for the steamed liquids could be invested in? Otherwise, service and friendliness is great whenever I’ve been.

Really good coffee and honestly some of the best donuts in Edmonton. Bold claim I know but they don't try and do anything fancy they are just simple and very well done ! ???? Breakfast sandwich was also fantastic you'll think it's expensive at first but the Bacon breakfast sandwich was MASSIVE. I added Avocado and they seasoned the Avocado fan which is a really nice attention to detail.

Instantly met with "we don't have____/we don't do ____" which was not a problem. The bun and bacon in our breakfast sandwich was very burnt, which was not a problem. The doughnuts and pizza were very good. It's when the staff starts sweeping the rugs 2 feet away, towards you, while you're eating, at noon hour, it makes you wonder what's going on in regards to customer service. Absolutely disgusting. ***EDIT*** Thanks to management for stepping in and ensuring something like this won't happen again. Will be trying Ace Garneau again soon.

ACE is my spot for studying and meeting friends. it's in a great spot, off the main road so it's not loud but in a great area for bumping into people. the staff are lovely and super friendly - plus, the coffee is to die for, they put pickled cucumber on smoked salmon bagels (trust me it's SO good), and the donuts are freakishly amazing. seriously just go here it's the best

they only use take out cups (even though patio is open) and then provide no recycling options for plastics… also don’t provide a bathroom. Unsure why people accept such unsustainable cafes these days

As a barista I usually banter with and ask questions about the coffee when I go to a Roastery . Both times I've been here the people at the till had next to no knowledge about the coffee and couldn't tell me the origins even after looking it up. The last time I was there I got a snippy reply asking "if I've had their coffee before?" rather than providing any sort of descripton to help me choose between their vaguely labeled coffee. Other than that, the coffee is alright—I appreciate the variety they bring to the city's coffee scene by focusing on blends, but they honestly don't offer anything spectacular.

We ordered some pre-ground espresso from them and unfortunately it was much too coarse for a couple different machines which lead to under extraction and an overall poor taste.

It's reduced in scope from the old Leva but the coffee is still first rate and the service is authentically friendly and helpful.

Great coffee! It should be though considering I paid $5.50 for an extremely small latte. Even more expensive than Starbucks which I find surprising. The shop was undergoing renovations and looked really nice from what I could see. The location was great and the customer service was, ok.
