On Boxing Day evening, our furnace decided to stop working, so I decided to Google repair companies in my area and look for the best rating. The Comfort Guy was had a decent rating and good reviews so I decided to give them a call first. I called and had to leave a message for someone to call me back. Fine, and no big deal as it was a holiday. 30 minutes pass, an hour passes, and still no return phone call. Still to this day, no resturn phone call and that is why they deserve only one star. I called another company from Woodstock and they called me back within 15 minutes.

Within minutes of my text, asking for help, in my Daughters home, in Woodstock, a calming voice and a friendly visit, solved our problem, caused by another companies rejection of a so called "Reliable" deal.. After some help with the paperwork, the complete overhaul of her "comfort system" was scheduled the following Wed.. At 8 am the crew arrived, and installed a state of the art Lenox furnace, and a/c and water heater. Immaculate, and precise installation was quickly done... Being the grand father of 4 almost adult grand children and a newly arrived grandson in late August, I was pleased beyond words.:) The attractive website isn't able to show the love and caring given us. Unfortunately, the reputation built by previous owners of comfort guy has been tarnished by the new staff. Take my advice and don't waste your time. Even in freezing conditions, leaving two messages, no call back. No emergency number for furnaces that decide to quit working "after hours," and your house is 50 degrees.

I was downstairs in our raised ranch admiring our new Valor fireplace this evening and telling my wife how happy I am with the unit. The lower level is toasty warm and evenly heated. I love the radiant technology, and being a typical male, I am especially pleased with the remote control feature. After listening to myself, I realized that I need to call or write to Jason and to let him know how happy we are. I was looking for Jason's email address and spotted this review component and decided that this is an even better way to say thank you. Cheryl Ann gave us excellent advice regarding the colour and style of the unit. You live with a fireplace for a long time. She has excellent artistic judgement and we are glad that we listened to her. The installation team was very friendly and professional. They ensured that we knew how to run the unit prior to leaving the house. They laid down runners on the floor to protect them and the technicians cleaned up immaculately. These same men come into our house yearly to service the furnace, air con unit, hot water heater and electronic air cleaner which we also purchased from the Comfort Guy over the years. Can't thank the Comfort Guy enough. Had a heater quit working over the weekend and called Comfort Guy first thing Monday morning. My heater was fixed before lunch and the value for the work performed was excellent. I use the Comfort Guy for all of my heating needs.

Called for a service to fix hotwater tank issue. Tech came and said cant fix , parts needs to order but cant be before xmas. I said cant wait till xmas so I called them and as usual no reply or call back. Called other local guy came in two hours and fixed issue. They were only interested in money . I asked them before service call that do u fix this ,I have been told tech will come and see weather they can fix it or not but will charge minimum one hour . They were only interested in money but not fixing the issue.

I called and told them that the humidifier on my furnace needed a new diaphragm valve, so we made an appointment. The ‘Comfort Guy’ came and looked at it, said it would ‘likely’ be cheaper to replace the entire unit for $650-$750, charged me $137.51 and left, all within the span of about 25 minutes. What a rip off.

On Friday morning our furnace stopped working, we contacted The Comfort Guy and Jason came within the hour even during this Covid 19 situation. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly!
