My friendly giant came to do my eavestroughs (sorry, they're eavestroughs on the prairies)...ok, gutters yesterday. He was awesomely amazing. Very friendly, smiley, professional and good guy, fast and not to worry that his scheduled guy was sick, he was out there doing the job! He got to work right away, got the ladder up and tromped around the roof, fearlessly. (Yes i was working from home so my desk facing out to the window, I got to watch him :-) He sports a skookum, industrial-looking blue rubber glove and he scooped the guck and banged stuff out of my downspouts and attached a thing where it needed to be so the Great Vic West Cascade (water pouring down the side of the house making great spashing noises) is no more. He didn't have to do that other stuff, besides the scooping the guck - and then i asked him for his opinion on a "gutter" re-routing issue - 'cause he's the expert - and he knew exactly what I meant and what was needed. Call him, I say. And then start humming that song - well you have to be as old as me to remember it. (hm, hm, hm, hm, hm, hm,..."and a little rocking chair in the corner for those who like to rock". They cleared the whole roof of debris, cleaned all the gutters, washed the upper windows and skylight, and installed gutter baskets over all the downspouts. Shawn and Crew provide a fantastic service! This is the third year we've hired them for window cleaning. Last year they power washed our walkways to remove winter's slippery moss, and moss removal on the roof. Today they came by to remove the dead moss and re-spray the roof. Friendly, professional, hard-working - Matt and Joe did a great job! Chelsea came and pitched in. Altogether a great job! The roof looks great, the windows are bright and clear... The young man who arrived ahead of time to clean my gutters and flush downspouts was very thorough! He kept me apprised of what he was doing, and what he was finding as he checked the gutters. On his own initiative he flushed a third downspout that was completely clogged. Washing the outsides of the gutters was a great improvement to their looks. Upon leaving he recommended a couple of things I should keep in mind to ensure that the gutters will perform well in the future. I highly recommend Friendly Giant Window, Gutter and Roof Cleaning. Friendly Giant did a great job on moss removal from our roof this spring. It had been quite overgrown and the removal has made the roof like almost new again. The process took a few visits for spraying and removal and the techs were on time and professional/courteous while at our home. They were quiet other than the removal noise and notified us of arrival each time. Quote was fair and no unexpected costs came up. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Reception was friendly and knowledgeable about time lines. A quote was organized quickly. Work began literally hours after getting the quote as I was trying to get gutters cleared prior to a perimeter drain flush. I was amazed at how quickly a workman was sent out. I can't get up to see inside the gutters, but I am sure they are fine. The gutter exteriors were washed also and look almost new. Only drawback was that our outside hose was left a tangled mess, and that the board the hanger was placed on was broken. We found the hose, hanger and pieces of our porch boards laying in the driveway the next morning.
