I have used Home Aire Care for 12 years. Last year, they replaced my furnace with a new high efficiency propane furnace. They also replaced my aging A/C unit with a Heat Pump. On 18 May 2021, they replaced my Tankless Hot Water on Demand unit. They are so honest, professional and competent. The office staff are extremely responsive. Manager, Kevin, and his technical team - Ted, Ralph, Jeff and James are excellent at their jobs and all around great people to have in my home. Thanks to all of you for all you do for me.

These good folks installed a 2 headed heat pump. We heat with baseboards and we do not have air conditioning. Not only does it distribute the heat throughout the house evenly but cools in the summer AND much cheaper than baseboards. Love it. We don’t have a basement which made it much more difficult to install but you’d never know it. The install was painless for us and the care they take to not mess up your home was beyond what we expected...they cleaned it up so well you would never have know they were here. Extremely professional! I’d recommend them to anyone!

I discovered a drain issue on our AC at 5 PM, called home aire care at 5:15 and a technician was at our door at 7:30PM. The issue was quickly resolved. The technician (Ethan) was great. He walked me through what happened and gave me tips to prevent it happening again. Within 45 minutes the resolved and I was further educated about our furnace and AC. Thanks Ethan, you're great.

My only concern would b that, when I booked the appointment, I was told that the service personnel would b arriving between 3-6 pm and I would get a call first. I also agreed that he or she could come after 1 pm should they wrap up another job early, again with a call first. The service attendant rang the bell around 12:30 with no advanced call. It worked out that we happened to be home having just returned about 12:15. Not really a complaint but something to b mindful of.

Close to Madoc, southeast Ontario, Canada, definitely out in the country. This past summer, our house received a direct lightning strike during an active weather storm at 10:30 pm. The Hydro One power transformer that feeds our home was cremated, damage inside the home yet to be determined. Electricity was restored 5 hours later at around 3:30 am. Thank you Hydro One. Because of the extreme heat and humidity of weather this summer, at 10:00 am next morning we knew by the mounting temperature and humidity inside the home that the AC was no longer having any effect. This was a big concern as my wife, a victim of MS, is bed-ridden and cannot easily escape the environment inside the home, a definite vulnerability. External AC unit itself was running fine. Shifting attention to furnace, noticed furnace fan was not functioning and, manipulating thermostat, realized furnace was indeed non-responsive. Following this conclusion, contacted local Home Aire Care (Trenton, Ontario) to report problem. A technician was close by in the area and was dispatched to respond immediately following completion of their present task. Shortly thereafter, tech arrived, saw the furnace ICB (integrated circuit board) was fried (lightning, no brainer eh?), provided a temporary fix so ventilation of AC was restored and ordered a new ICB for a permanent fix which was completed couple weeks later. All this took place within way under 24 hours of lightning strike. Impressive and most thankful, really !!! ... ought to be more stars ... Michael Desourdie.

If I could rate this lower I would. We had a maintenance contract with Home Aire Care to clean and maintain the furnace and air conditioning. Last year we were told we should replace the AC as it is an older system. I told the technician that it works fine for now. It worked all of last year and worked just fine this year, handling the last brutal heatwave well. On July 10 we had an appointment for the yearly cleaning. Once again, was told the system is getting old and should be replaced and once again I said it has been working fine. A few days after the cleaning I turned the AC on. Funny...it no longer worked. I called and left a message voicing my displeasure at the situation. I had to call back the next morning as no one bothered to return my call. I got a receptionist who said she would pass my concerns onto the owner. Shortly afterwards the owner called me and said he would come and assess the situation. His response was that it's an old system and that's just the way it goes. Well...this is the way it goes from our end: we are cancelling our contract with you and will be buying a brand new system from one of your competitors, a local company. Will I ever recommend Home Aire Care? Not a change....STAY AWAY FROM HOME AIRE CARE!!

On Calling the company for an AC Repair, was quoted $ 140 + Tax + Parts which was agreed to On the technician checking the machine after arrival was told that the policy of the Company is to charge a MINIMUM OF $ 250 + Tax for any part costing less than 250!!!!! Changed the part costing $ 24 and charged me $ 250 for the same Website lists a Discount of 20% on service call. Even the telephone says the same thing. On enquiring with the company after completion of work was told that I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE DISCOUNT BEFORE GETTING THE WORK DONE!! RIDICULOUS!! BEWARE CUSTOMERS!! UPDATE ON AUG 31 2021 On viewing this review, got a message from the company to call the Operations Manager. Left voice mail and got a call back in a couple hours. Was informed that there had been some error on the part of the company and hence they would now reduce the bill from $ 440.xx to $ 273.xx a reduction of $ 167.xx SWEET!!

I really do like and recommend this company, however the one thing that has rubbed me the wrong way, is that we've used them 3x in the last 6months. When they were here last it literally took the technician 5 secs to get our furnace working again (a hidden switch that had to be turned on) He felt awful for having to charge us so he said he'd call his boss and see if he could waive the fee. Unfortunately, the answer was no. I understand they provided a service but as a repeating customer that clearly uses you a lot and is supposed to use you to put in an AC in the spring, you think they would of helped us out with such a minor thing. Other than that, they are quick to respond and are very professional.

We had gotten a few quotes from other companies but was blown away with the products and service home air offered. We had them install a new furnace, air conditioner, hot water heater as well as all new duct work. I've personally worked with atleast 5 of their techs in my home through out the Reno stages. I have nothing but great things to say about all of them. The boss even stayed late during the holidays to hook up my dryer so we could finally wash our clothes, which was more than helpful, it was kind. I highly recommend their products and services, you wont be disappointed.

A whole was put in a load bearing wall to run duct work through not to mention my house is always cold except the one room that has the thermostat in it. I spent a lot of money to have this done and I regret it every day especially when we wake up cold because the house isn’t heated properly!

Swap old A/C unit with new one, was supposed to be done on Tues but they still don't know how to do it!!!! Lots of phone calls to the office, lots of pictures and still nothing. It's a unique job in a small crawlspace but they knew that in advance. Not impressed. They sure don't instill confidence with their work ... more to follow as I just called the sales guy to complain. This work was supposed to be completed before Friday as I go back to work on Friday. UPDATE: A week late but Tony and Ralph showed up to install my a/c unit and new coil. I'm telling you, it takes a lot to impress me but Ralph did just that!!! As in the photo, somehow he squeezed behind my horizontal furnace in the crawlspace and installed the new coil!!!!!! I'm still not quite sure how he managed to get in there!! These two guys are and exceptional team and I'm happy and grateful they showed up to do the job!!!! I've changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because of these two. They lose 1 star because they were a week late but overall I'm satisfied! Even had the tech show up today and service the furnace.

We had a problem in a home we moved into last year with a brand new air conditioner that had been installed right before the home was sold. Home Aire Care came and looked at it, saying that it would be very expensive even to diagnose the problem and that it wasn't worth it. We should get a new one. The owner and a senior technician came; they claimed they remembered the old air conditioner previously installed in this house (by them), and that there were old parts still installed (e.g. coil and copper pipes), so that there would be incompatibility issues with the brand new unit. They said that damage to the unit would have been very great running it with older coil/pipes and older coolant that inevitably would have been left behind by the old unit. They said they could detect at least one leak at the valves but it was likely leaking in many other spots too and that would just be the tip of the iceberg in terms of repairs. If we got a new air conditioner, they would deduct the cost of the service call from the price. We ended up having two other companies give a second opinion. The first (large company that services many communities in the region) came and said they could detect no leak, and in fact it probably had just not been properly topped up with coolant when it was installed. They topped up the coolant, and after a few weeks it was not working properly again, so there really was a problem. A second local, small company came. They spent a LONG time diagnosing the problem, found ONE VERY SMALL LEAK and fixed it. They topped up the coolant and said that we shouldn't have any more problems, but if we did, they felt as if it could be fixed again. It took a good long time to find and fix the leak, and it did cost hundreds of dollars. But we did not have to spend thousands on a new air conditioner, and did not have to throw out a perfectly good brand new unit. The air conditioner worked for the remainder of the summer last year and worked all summer this year. We recently had it serviced for annual cleaning and upkeep, and no problems were detected. I eventually found the company that installed our air conditioner and talked to the person who installed it. It is just a couple of guys who do installation of air conditioners on the side, so it was hard to find. They said the coil was definitely brand new, and they were not sure if the copper pipes had been replaced or not. If they had not been they would certainly have been flushed out repeatedly to ensure no old coolant remained in them. He was also apologetic that there had been a small leak and said if he had known he would have repaired it for free. I probably would not have chosen to have these guys install a brand new unit for me as they seemed inexperienced and clearly had made a mistake. However, I do not believe there is anything very wrong with our equipment. I believe that Home Aire Care tries to convince people they are in a dire situation and that they must replace their equipment. They use scare tactics and manipulation to get more customers, and it is all the more shady because they act very professional and do a very good job convincing you there are no other options. I will never use them again.

Arranged to have maintenance done.Told them what time I finished work. They called and left message to confirm when I would be home while I was at work.When tried to call them after I got home the number they left was not in service. When finally got hold of them was told they had come 10 minutes after the time I told them I was finishing work and then left because I hadn't made it home yet. Even in our small town it takes time to drive home. Very disappointed and seriously considering cancelling my service plan .
