This company was hired for my mother, a grieving widow and senior, the day after my father died to remove blood stains from the basement carpet. He charged her $800 for less than 50 sq feet. It seems he enjoys scamming the grieving and seniors, because this is not the only review like this. Although most of the stains were removed, the carpet has been left with a horrible aroma. Contacted another company and they quoted $150 for the same job. When contacted, this company offered to do nothing for refunding this ridiculous price. This company is a SCAM!!!!!!

I feel that I have been ripped off. I had to vacuum crumbs off my couch and chair after he had cleaned them. I let him know this and he had the nerve to still cash my check for over $400 He should have had the decency not to take my money. I am a widow living on a pension. It's kind of late but it still makes us mad when we think of how much we paid John Garec. He charged us $1700.00 to run two fans in our basement (which had been flooded) and spray disinfectant. His total time spent here was no longer than two hours. Three days later he came back to pick up the fans. We could have rented them for $35.00 a day. Never again would we deal with this company!

Had a basement carpet destroyed by a tenant. As I was shopping for a new carpet the new tenant asked John to come by and see if he could get it cleaned. He guaranteed her he could get it cleaned and we were very clear unless it is a money back guarantee we will just replace it but he insisted and charged her $350 for the deep clean process. It did nothing. Within 2 days he was contacted and told it was being replaced and we would like the refund. He ignored our calls for weeks finally answering when we called from a neighbours phone. John went on about how he's been so busy with family issues he couldn't get to the business phone which is laughable as if, and he argued for a long time then finally said he would only give us $100 back. As pitiful as it was we said fine. It's been 2 mths and he did not ever send the refund and now ignores our calls and emails again. Do not give this company any money they take advantage of people, the quality of work is horrendous and they do not care to make anything right or honor guarantee. Despicable.

We fully expected a negative result with the 16 years of dirt it was the color of brown when John cleaned it the true color was blue we were astonished he gave us a brand new carpet at the fraction of the cost we will definitely use John again and recommend him to our family and friends and I almost forgot he also cleaned the leather in our car it looks like day it was brand new we had to call him back the following week because the darn cat peed on the couch John solved that problem for us to --- Basil - Welland

If you're going to use this company, don't. They over charge for services and do not give you an accurate estimate upon arrival. Their business is near criminal and very shady. They don't even deserve 1 star but you have to give one to write a review. Let's put it this way. If I had to choose between voting for Trump or using this service, Trump would win the election. If that doesn't say it all I don't know what will.

John came to clean our carpets in our entire basement before we list our house for sale. Our dog had chewed a bone on the carpet and it left oil/grease stains. Today I had my carpets cleaned by Garec's Cleaning Systems. My home had 3 bedrooms, a living room, hallway and 11 stairs covered in carpet. Before John Garec arrived, my carpet was covered in fur, food stains and ground-in dirt. John Garec arrived promptly for the quote. He shared with me that his father started the business and he worked alongside him from very young. He discussed what type of carpet I had and the best treatment for it. His quote was in the range I expected. He arrived promptly also on cleaning day, which I appreciated. When he had finished, the carpets looked amazing. I would definitely recommend Garec’s Cleaning Systems for similar jobs, although I understand they’re capable of much more!

NOT RECOMMENDED ! John Garec billed a female senior $836 plus HST for a 3 hour unsatisfactory cleaning of a small sofa/chaise, a recliner chair, an 8' x 11' area rug, and 2 blinds. THAT'S $278.66 PER HOUR! He did NOT provide the 30% discount he had twice said he would give, having substituted Scotchgard that was not requested or needed. Nor would he respond to requests for a refund under his company's "200% iron-clad, no-risk, money-back guarantee!". Customer said experience left her feeling "violated".

This company is amazing. I'm new to the area and just did a Google search. Boy, did I luck out! John is very professional and friendly. He quickly returned my call and arranged an appointment to come and give an estimate for shampooing furniture and carpeted areas including stairs. He was very meticulous while working and did an amazing job on our light colours furniture. Carpet looks like new. There were a couple of tiny spots on chairs we noticed the next day. A quick phone call to Here's and they were right back to spit clean. We are beyond impressed with everything about Garec's and plan on using their services in the future. Another plus that pleases me and that I'm proud to support is that the company is a locally-owned small business. I'd give them a 10 out of 5 stars if I could.
