I just tried Maidstr for the first time....it.was.amazing. Isabella and Ana were super professional, easy to talk to and the place was SO Freaking CLEAN! I had neglected to really DEEP clean my home for a while now. In addition to all the normal cleaners stuff, they did the stove, the floorboards, the bathroom, the window sills and now the place just feels lighter, fresher and-well-oh so much cleaner and fresher. This company was recommended to me by friends who use them every month, and I am going to follow suit. Again, really good job.

I don’t have time to write reviews with a new baby BUT this is an exception…. As a first time mom, I am tired all the time and no time to clean – my life was chaos! So reluctantly went online to find cleaning services not really hoping to find anything special. I was scared, not knowing who would come to my home. I was expecting the run-of-the-mill mom & pop shop. But OMG I found Maidstr! Never seen a cleaning service site like this ever!!! They vet all their cleaners and they run background checks. I was also stunned by their online presence and the level of refined service and how easy it was to book. Seriously in under a minute. Then the cleaners showed up and I was even more blown away. The two women who came by to clean were really pleasant, hard working and put me completely at ease. I was initially intimidated by hiring a cleaning service and didn’t quite know if I had to direct them myself but they pointed out the cleaning checklist and the additional services that I paid for, smiled and took charge of the entire cleaning process. I had an extremely satisfying experience with Maidstr. I checked online, saw their reviews, like their site and best of all, was able to schedule a last-minute move-out cleaning in a quick manner. I booked on Monday and they scheduled a cleaning for Wednesday. The move-out cleaning they did for my house was great! There were two maids that arrived on time and finished cleaning the place in a timely manner. They made everything look brand new, including the carpet, the kitchen oven, and the windows. The big deal for me was how the company was communicative via text and email. I do a lot of purchases and ordering online so I really liked their secure and easy to use booking platform which is pretty tech-savvy and the cleaners were just personable and professional. In their follow-up rating email I gave Mariah’s team 5 stars and I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

I booked Maidstr for a One Time Deep Cleaning Service and it was done on October 19th 2017. The maids arrived promptly and quickly went to work. Booking the appointment was easy on short notice and office staff very friendly when we called to ask some further questions. My window for the maid to show up was 8:30-10:30 and the 2 maids showed up right at 8:30, which allowed me to get some things done afterwards. The job was not an easy one (5 hours), but they were friendly, diligent, and the work was excellent. The rates are totally reasonable and I have recommended this service to other clients and businesses. If I wasn't planning to move soon, I would book recurring monthly services as well. Nothing beats coming home to a clean home and work space.

Never had a cleaner before so wasn't sure what to expect. Our apartment is in an old house so even when it's "clean" it doesn't look clean. Additionally, we're getting married shortly so we have a lot of clutter and haven't been diligent with housekeeping. OH! And we have a bird. We requested a deep cleaning but received nothing more than a regular cleaning by one person. We hoped we would have a thorough move in cleaning but when we arrived dirt was on every corner and stains on appliances. I doubt even 2 hours was spent. They scheduled an additional half hour session but it did not help since the team was instructed to just spend time for a quick touch up. We ended up calling another company which cost us 1/4 (for a full day) and the result was exceptional. Very disappointed with wasting all the money and the time with Maidstr.

I was seeking a cleaning company that would be able to clean my recently vacated condo within one week notice and thankfully they were able to accommodate me! The lady I spoke with on the phone was very kind and courteous, helping to answer any questions I had. Cleaner arrived one hour earlier than the given time frame which was unexpected but nonetheless great. Cleaner was very kind and did a great job. They were very attentive and more than willing to address and readdress any areas I felt could be better polished. The only thing I would say is that I had originally checked off the steam clean option on their website for my carpet but when I spoke with them, they said this service was not available. However, they connected me with their partner company that does steam cleaning which did an excellent job getting out deep dirt stains. They were even able to sync the timing of when Maidstr was cleaning my condo which allowed for greater time efficiency! Overall, very pleased with their services and will definitely be using them again for any future cleans!

This is the easiest maid service to book and they tell you exactly what you are getting in your cleaning. It's great that you can include add ons online if you need anything extra done. Whenever I have called, there is always someone available over the phone to help me; and when they are busy someone always promptly calls me back. I had my first cleaning today and could not be more happy and impressed with Maidstr's service! After doing a little bit of research, I came across Maidstr and they had the best reviews, and were highly rated. So I decided to book with them, it took less than a minute to book and within an hour Laurin the operations manager was in contact with me to let me know they were overbooked and she accommodated me on another available day and time, and also informed me on the realistic results I would receive for only having booked a 2 hour cleaning (typically a good deep clean would take 3-4 hours), however I had other appointments to go to that same day. But nonetheless the lovely ladies came in and worked hard from start to finish and made sure to get all my areas of concern finished. They did a final walkthrough with me and went over what they did, and let me know of any other areas they suggest could use a little love and upkeep, which I really appreciated. It was my first time having a cleaner, and I did not know what to expect. I was nervous it was going to be awkward, and maybe it wasn't going to be worth the money, but it really was worth it, and not awkward at all! The ladies were super fun and friendly, and they did their thing, while I did mine. Definitely going to continue booking with Maidstr!

I've been using Maidstr's bi-weekly cleaning service for the last 4 months and they've been a godsend. I was a little resistant at first to their first time deep clean as it was a tad pricey but it's a worthwhile investment especially since they got areas that I thought were a lost cause super clean. The follow up maintenance cleans were much lower in price and I get the same team which is super convenient. The staff is communicative which I appreciate and it's been a load off my mind having this chore taken care of by pros.

If you're having a party but are too overwhelmed to start cleaning, or are just lazy like me, book an online cleaning with Maidstr. I thought I could do it all but it was sadly apparent I couldn't two days before the party. Maidstr came through. I liked the reviews online and booking was super easy online. Didn't even need to talk to anyone. The cleaner arrived on time, brought all her own supplies and equipment (I panicked for a second cause I thought I needed to have cleaning supplies which I don't) and did a very comprehensive job. I hired Madstr for a one-time job to clean the home where an ill senior friend of mine had been living. Extra effort was required to clean areas that had not been cleaned in a while and the girls that were sent certainly did the job, even going as far as to pull out the stove and clean underneath. I had Maidstr clean out my parents condo and the job was fantastic, I won't get into how well they cleaned the place; that's a given, the place was far cleaner than what I would have imagined. But what made me want to write out this review was their customer service and responsiveness. My Dad misplaced one of his watches after the clean. I called Alex, the Customer Service Rep, if one of the cleaners may have placed it elsewhere. I absolutely dreaded having to escalate this and imply that a theft may have taken place, especially when it's more than likely that my Dad simply misplaced it. Alex quickly assured that all of the cleaners have had thorough background checks but that if my Father still couldn't locate his watch, Maidstr would be fully cooperative if we brought the police into this. Thankfully, we didn't have to as my Dad eventually found it (he just forgot to unpack it from luggage). I fear confrontation and general awkwardness, so I was immensely comforted by Alex mentioning the background checks but also advising that they would be cooperative with an investigation. I was fully anticipating defensiveness and denials and got nothing but sincere acknowledgement and support! This has strengthened my already positive impression of Maidstr. The clean is expected now but they always impress me with their professionalism.

My experience with Maidstr may be an outlier, as most of the reviews here are positive ones. I normally don’t splurge on cleaning, but after my 2 roommates moved out I thought I’d give Maidstr a try, but found the cleaners who came to be incredibly unprofessional. When she arrived, she told me I needed to upgrade to the “move in / move out” package based on their assessment of the house. I called the company and upgraded. She cleaned for several hours, and when she was done, she asked me to inspect everything. I politely told her that the fridge, cabinets and the oven range hood still looked dirty (to be honest even the remaining parts she did clean, it did not feel like “move in” condition either but I didn’t mention this). The cleaner then started raising her voice, calling me unappreciative and even yelled a few things in another language (I’m assuming profanities). After she was done yelling, she stormed off and slammed my door on the way out. I was left dumbfounded. It wasn’t a big deal to me but for the price I paid, I couldn’t help wonder if what I had asked was out of line. I called the company and talked to a rep, and asked about what was included in the package. I was then told all the contents had to be removed first in order for the fridge and cabinets to be cleaned. I became very frustrated, as it seemed I upgraded the package, and not only did not receive the benefits of the add-on but was also yelled at after for inquiring about it. This left me feeling extremely disappointed, and also a feeling of being scammed. If I was instructed to clean out the fridge and cabinets first, I would have said I didn’t need them cleaned and I was ok with the original package. The company apologized for the cleaners’ behaviour and assured me this was a one-off situation, and offered me a partial refund. I understand that everybody has a bad day, but my experience here was less than spectacular. The cleaner did not do a great job, but more importantly, the way she spoke to me made me feel terrible. I do not believe I was rude to her, or impolite, just curious. Although the company rep has apologized on her behalf, I definitely would not put myself through this experience again. Jan 26, 2022 update: No word from Maidstr since they left their response to reach out again to me.

It was simple to book online, and even reschedule if needed which I had to do once due to a work conference call. Super easy communication and once she arrived she wore masks, gloves and kept to the precautionary measures. The entire condo ended up super clean. Really appreciate it!!

After searching long and hard for a good house cleaning service for my elderly relatives, we discovered Maidstr. We've been using them for over 3 months now and we continue to be as satisfied with them today, as when we first began. Among some of the things that impress: -They always email 3 and 1 day before to remind us of their visit. -They always get the glass shower door sparkling clean, which is no easy task. -They come equipped with everything they need and use all natural cleansers. But if you prefer them to use any of your own cleaning supplies, they will happily do so instead. -If there is ever any issue, they go out of their way to make it right. Finding a reliable and consistent cleaning teams these days seems to be virtually impossible and we're thrilled with this team.

Hired Maidstr for the first time. The main office had been very responsive and arranged deep cleaning the next day. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the result. Found out they used vinegar and water to clean our Calligaris dining table and chairs, stripping the varnish on the wood resulting in lighter patches. The cleaners also left a film of white substance all over the floor of the master shower that looked like soft scrub. I had to scrub hard and rinse and there is still some left. Same substance is left on the second bath. There were dirty footprints left on the baseboard coming in from the balcony. I shouldn’t have to clean up after the crew immediately after a deep clean. I have cancelled future cleaning sessions.

I was shopping around for deep cleaning services every 2 weeks. Maidstr sent a cleaner and… She. Made. This. Home. Spotless. Let me tell you why they are deserving of 5+ stars and went above & beyond the typical services. Went I made my booking online, I had to change the schedule a couple of times and I was pleased at the flexibility. Several times a customer service agent and I communicated via email and text about my questions about the service as well scheduling since I was working from home and they respond fast and thoroughly. On the first service, the cleaning tech came and cleaned the entire condo. She had a system and tackled the job efficiently and thoroughly until it was completely clean. I was SO impressed with the hustle. She was thoughtful and mindful of our current "work from home" status. She was v personable and kind – for any sort of service it's rarely just about how good the work is, but also is about the attitude of the person doing the work. It was obvious she took pride in doing a high-quality job. Maidstr assigns the same cleaning tech to customers so I’ve had the same person come in each time so she completely knows my space and my schedule and is even more efficient and thorough. Bonus! Really, Maidstr’s cleaning service is worth every cent, and I am truly grateful for them providing me with a clean home on a regular basis. Can't recommend high enough!

Had my folks scheduled to come over for the long weekend and desperately needed to get my place cleaned to my Mother's standards. I knew well in advance they'd be over but I waited till the weekend prior to making arrangements after realizing there was no way I'd be doing this myself. The cleaners were in and out in just a couple of hours and did a downright splendid job. I thought the clean really opened up the place. Amazing how they got all of the minuscule stains and smudges to really make an impression, esp. with my Mother! I took all of the credit from my Mom but will happily praise Maidstr here. I've signed up for their monthly maintenance cleans as I have grown accustomed to not going "ugh" at the sight of my condo.

I just moved into a 2 bedroom condo and my girlfriend and I wanted our place to be spotless. We both were strapped for time and moving is already stressful enough, so we decided to hire cleaners. I paid $450 after tip, for a deep clean, windows and patio. I am super disappointed in the cleaning service I received. After the cleaners finished, the only noticeable difference was that the place smelled clean and they did a good job in one of the two bathrooms. My girlfriend and I had to invest a few hours of our own time, just to do a proper clean. This is horrible value for the money and I would not recommend using this service.

MaidStr was absolutely wonderful! The ladies showed up and went straight to work. My home had never been professionally cleaned and with 2 children and pets, I honestly didn’t know how “clean” it could be without using serious cleaning chemicals. After 3 hours, my house was SPOTLESS! The attention to detail and hard work was incredible! I have already signed up for further regular cleanings.

Did a passable job, at best.. Used them when I moved into a house. Asked for a standard clean, windows and basement. Basement was not cleaned well, with areas of dust noted in multiple areas. Parts of the itchen were dirty. Windows are not worth paying extra for a simple wipedown. They showed up an hour late (outside their window), and to the wrong house so had to wave them to the right one. They also left a faucet in the basement sink running (unsure if broken before) and didn't even notify us, causing water to overflow. No responsibility or accountability. Would advise you to look into a different company if asking for comparible services to above. *Edit. After seeing the response to this comment, and many others below, I wish I could lower my rating. This company has no accountability, and their responses gloss over the issues. They came 1 hour outside the window provided, they didn't clean areas that were included within basic cleaning, and they left running water in the basement without telling us resulting in water damage.

I was able to book a cleaning service from Maidstr very last minute and they did an amazing job! They were self-directed and did not need me to be in the house to supervise them. I’ve been using maidstr for a few months...gave it a really good go, and have had an issue almost every single time. Today was my last straw, I will not be using maidstr ever again. My house looks worse than it did before the cleaning, it’s just so upsetting to have a service done by “professionals” only to end up spending hours cleaning up after them. Literally every surface in my home, if it was cleaned, it was cleaned using the wrong product. Nobody it their right mind would consider it a job well done. I try to always complain to the company directly, but there is only so much they should be able to get away with before the shortcomings are made public knowledge. Maidstr please invest in proper training for your staff, better communication to your staff, appropriate cleaning products for each job for example Windex for glass, or even vinegar...not Lysol. Also make sure your staff have the right equipment (like a toilet brush to clean a toilet, not a rag). I am beyond disappointed, I’m disgusted, angry and done.

I've had bad experiences in the past with service businesses by not getting callback to my calls and inquiries, waiting all day for service people to arrive, or just having no shows. This company Maidstr was referred to me by a friend who was with them for close to a year so I took a deep breath and booked a deep cleaning online without talking to anyone. This was a first for me as I tend to talk to service businesses to gauge rates, customer service, etc. but there was more than enough info on the website, including the booking process, for me to feel comfortable booking. I received a booking confirmation and it included their terms and policies which was pretty useful. On the actual day the cleaners did everything and more. They were professional, courteous and cleaned like demons (in a good way!). The next day, I received a follow up email inquiring about the service as well as communication outlining the benefits of recurring regular service now that I had a deep clean done. I'm signed up now for monthly cleanings with the same team. Looking forward to this working relationship ;-)

I requested a quote and Laurin, the business manager, got back to me very quickly and was super helpful! Melanie and her team were great! To be frank, my place was more than a bit messy as my roommate hadn't cleaned the place professionally for a long time, and the person who had the room before me had a long haired cat living there for over a year, so all that contributed to a real untidy and messy space that I just couldn’t stand anymore. Reason I picked the company was because I knew exactly what I was going to be paying for and they confirmed via a follow up call what they were going to do. All other cleaning companies were giving me hourly rates and I’ve heard enough horrible stories of cleaners who take their sweet time cleaning up in order to increase the number of hours. With Maidstr, no inspections or wasted time. It was a little on the pricier side but definitely worth it for me for the convenience and reliability. I selected the number of bedrooms and baths and extra services and could see the exact price adjusting on the screen. Entered in my credit card details on a secured site (I’m in IT so that is something I always pay attention to) and viola, cleaning session booked! The team did an excellent job, were super nice and respectful, and arrived on time in the window allotted. A day afterwards I got an email asking me to rate them and I gave them an excellent rating. I’m booking Maidstr on a monthly basis (gives me a discount) and I’ve recommended them to a couple of my similarly messy bachelor friends.
