I'm a working mom of 2 kids and just needed a break and some help. I booked this clean as a special treat for myself and my family. We spent the morning tidying up everything, then everyone left the house for the entire day to accommodate for the cleaners who were supposed to come between 11:30am-1:30pm. At 2pm, no one had arrived, or called. I called and was told they were late, but could arrive at 3pm. After explaining that my kids come home from school then, they said they would send two cleaners to get it done by 6pm., but offered nothing else. Anyone with 2 toddlers knows you cannot clean a house with them there, and it's too cold to spend 3 hours outside with kids after school. This was unprofessional, unreliable and unforgiving service. I had used them once before years ago and had a bottle of wine go missing, but decided to give them a second chance. Obviously a terrible idea. Any decent company would call when they were running late, especially 4 hours late. Do not book this service, even if it is 'convenient'.

Update: I had a cleaning service yesterday and the cleaner moved items on the kitchen counter to clean the area underneath. Still not at 5 star but getting there. I have used cleaning service twice till now from Maid TO. On both occasions the cleaning was done professionally. I won't say they are very thorough, like they don't move table to clean underneath, or move things on the kitchen counter, they will only clean the open space. I find their pricing and quality better than some big cleaning company brands.

We use MaidInTO on about a 6-week basis or so. We've had pretty good experiences to date. I'll say that both the team that coordinates all the bookings and the cleaners themselves are highly communicative, which is great. The actual cleaning itself is pretty good! We have a bit of a larger space to clean so sometimes there's some attention to detail we feel is a bit lacking, but certainly nothing major. You can comfortably and safely rely on their service.

The first cleaner they sent did a really terrible job - didn't wash the kitchen floor, didn't wash the stove or clean the oven (despite that being part of what I paid for), didn't dust. I came home so disappointed with the state of my apartment. I emailed Maid in T.O to complain, and Sidrah, the co-founder, called me personally 30 minutes later. She apologized to me, and organized to have someone else come the next morning and clean everything again at no extra charge. This time my place is GORGEOUS. Everything is clean and well organized. I don't think my apartment has ever been this clean! I highly recommend Maid in TO.

Be wary of their pricing system. I signed up for a 4 bedroom house clean, which cost $250. The cleaner that came missed several areas and was in my home for a total of 3 hours. Despite me communicating my concerns, I was still charged $250 for 3 hours of work (which is $80/hour). $80 an hour is a ridiculous price for house cleaning and how anyone can clean a 4 bedroom house in 3 hours is beyond me. I have hired other companies who have provided 5-6 hours of service for the same price. Do yourself a favour and hire someone else. I am giving 2 stars because the booking system is convenient and they do respond promptly to emails. For the sake of full disclosure, they did offer me $50 off my next cleaning because of my concerns, but I will most definitely not be hiring them again.

The first time I went with this service it was very good. The maid who came in did a good job and and I could see he put in a lot of work that was needed to be done for the basement apartment we moved in to. I was impressed with how well he cleaned marks off the walls as well as the deep clean in the bathroom, all within 2 hours. It was also very convenient that they would respond immediately over Facebook. The second time however was a major trainwreck. We of course decided to go with the service the second time around because of the experience we had the first time, but it was a complete 360 from the previous experience. They were still available over Facebook this time, but somehow less responsive and less helpful. Anyways, we had finally decided on a time for the maid to come in. Everything had been finalized. When it came to the day of, the maid just did not show up. He/she had been 15 mins late already so I messaged them on Facebook asking what waswas go on. The person who replied over the Facebook asked me if my place was hard to find, implying that could by why the maid might have lost her way. I said no, and the last maid did not have any trouble coming in, they were right on time. The person replying over the phone tried to call the maid but she wasn't picking up. For some reason, she was only replying by email and told her that she couldn't find my place and could come the next day at the same time. We weren't going to be home the next day so I that didn't work for us. We had set out time and waited for the maid but she never showed. It wasted a lot of our time and showed unprofessionalism. We rescheduled for a different day and time to do the service, even though it wasn't the most convenient. However, they messaged me the next day saying that time wasn't available and I had to reschedule again, even though they assured me it was okay at the time of booking... I was very fed up at this point and wanted to get this done and over with. They rescheduled for another day and I made sure it was the real deal this time, not just another cancellation. The maid came in about 10 or 15 mins late. She was nice and friendly but she took way to long to do the bathroom. She was in there for 1.5 hours out of 2, which I think is a lot considering the first time around the maid did the bathroom in less than an hour and I believe he did a deeper clean with bleach. She then moved on to the rest of the house after the 1.5 hour mark and did not make up for the 10 or so mins of time that she came in late. I am done with this service. It is so extremely unprofessional to cancel MULTIPLE times and not do a proper cleaning job either!

The cleaners are all very nice and they have done a wonderful job cleaning each of the three times I have used them. BUT they lose two stars because each of the three times I have used this company I have felt like I wasted my time waiting for my cleaner to actually arrive. When you book something online or over the phone instead of making actual appointments (i.e. at 11am or 2:30pm) they give you "arrival windows" basically meaning that the cleaners can arrive any time between the window they give you. On weekdays the arrival windows are two hours long (11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm, etc.) and on Saturdays (they don't operate on Sundays) the arrival window is 3 HOURS LONG. Each of he 3 times I have used the service my cleaners have either come at the very end of the arrival window (1st and 3rd time) or have come late (2nd time). It is an annoyance because it means I need to waste my time waiting actually let into my apartment. Unless I'm desperate I will be trying a different company next time I need my space cleaned that values my time better.

Editing review: after further inspection of the place there were key areas missed. Crumbs and dust was still in corners and high touch areas like outside the microwave door was not touched at all. booking process was easy and smooth. They even had a covid questionnaire prior to arrival. When a cleaner was booked, they texted me before arrival and arrived between the arrival window. Absolutely brilliant! The cleaner was on time, efficient and meticulous. I don't think my apartment has ever been this clean (even when I first moved in). The process was super simple and can easily be customized to your needs - I had a basic clean and added baseboards and windows. While it might be more expensive than other companies/services, the cost was completely worth it! I will absolutely use Maid in T.O again and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. Super glad I found them through blogTO.

I booked Maid in TO for a deep clean of my kitchen and bathroom after an ex-roommate move out and left a mess behind while I was out of town for work. The ladies showed up in the arrival window and went straight to work, getting both rooms much cleaner than I would have managed by myself. They checked in with me multiple times to ensure everything was cleaned the way I wanted it, and overall did a fantastic job.

Terrible quality. I ordered a move-in cleaning service, which included a deep cleaning. Everything included in the deep cleaning was neglected - inside of oven, fridge, etc. And several things included in the basic cleaning were also neglected - bathroom and kitchen walls, outside of cabinets and floors. I suspect that since we left the home during the cleaning, the cleaner didn't feel it necessary to do a proper job. Customer service agreed to refund the portion we paid for the deep cleaning, however I'm now stuck with cleaning all missed areas myself. I do not recommend this company. Their quality is sub par.

When i call around for long weekend cleaning on July 2, Maid in TO is the only maid service that works on that day so i am very happy. The lady who came is punctual, very thorough and professional. My experience is very good with Maid in TO and i will highly recommend it to anyone else.
