I called Monday morning to say my hot tub was not working I got a call Monday afternoon to say someone would be out to look at it in next couple of hours.Nick turned up worked out the issue within minutes. Replaced the parts then he noticed he was not happy with one of the seals so took it apart again and replaced the seal. He was extremely thorough efficient and polite and a very personable guy. I was extremely happy with the service provided and highly recommend this company.

We are so incredibly please with the purchase of our new hot tub. The installers, Nick and Mike, were very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. It was a joy to have them working on the installation. I have a pool and hot tub and purchased elsewhere. After dealing with them today, I will be a customer for now on. I had a hot tub problem that they solved over the phone and are sipping me the past overnight. Incredible service…best I have had in years and definitely best in the pool/hot tub business. ~Derek Lesser-Yarmouth, NS. Edited: after the first service, things went downhill. I would not recommend dealing with them, especially through their text system. The part they sold me was defective and were to send me a new part but direct send it right out.

Absolutely appalled by the customer service today. Went to get some hose for a pool pump. Trying to communicate through text is not a way to run a store front business. Was yelled at by the general manager while having a conversation with the person I was with trying to figure out why we couldn't get more then 30' after she had come out of the store cursing about her coffee and talking with someone else. She claims we yelled first but seeing as we weren't even talking to her kinda hard to be yelling when not even talking. We had no idea who she was and could not get an answer as to why we couldn't get the amount of hose we needed. Then tried to sell us each 30' of hose claiming there was a shortage and they could only sell 30' to each customer. Still 60' going to the same place. Ended up leaving and they continued to try and get us to buy 30' of hose for $170. Called another company and they were more then happy to help us and actually talk to us in person. Also informed us there is no shortage of hose they have been told about it was also $3.00 less a foot. Needless to say very unimpressed by the conduct of the store and the general manager. Wont ever go back there and I will be telling everyone I know how well we were treated and I will be telling them where we got great service

COVID has changed the way we think, react and where we go for vacation. My wife and I decided in 2020 that we would spend the money and time to make our property a retreat for us, our kids and grandchildren. We did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions about above ground pools. We got quotes as well as availability. We also talked to friends who had experiences with suppliers; McBurneys was recommended to us by close friends that purchased a hot tub. They sang McBurneys praise and now we have to do the same. Our experience dealing with Holly and her staff has been flawless and professional, they provided us with all the answers we required and gave us the best option for our wants. I must say McBurney Pools is 1 of the very few companies left that still provide exceptional service. My husband and I were very new to owning a pool when we bought our home, so we went to a local competitor of McBurney's, not knowing any better which resulted in very poor service (which I won't mention their name). I explained our situation to McBurney's and they geared us up with some knowledge, solutions and great products. The clearing and cleaning of the pool went seamless after that. But the "TRUE" customer service is that a week later, Bill McBurney, the owner pulled in our driveway unexpectedly to see how everything was going and asked us if we needed any help. Keep in mind, we are 30 km away from his store to our home, so an hour + there and back in travel time for him to stop by. Who truly does that for strangers at NO COST??? I will never forget this....and even since then, I call up and ask so many questions, the staff are always so supportive. McBurney's focus on setting customer service standards, they are extremely attentive when I need help, very assertive and positive demeanor is always felt when dealing with them directly..I could go on and on. I am a huge fan and will always continue to do my business at McBurney's with no exceptions! Keep up the good work Bill, Tara, Holly and Team...a truly run family business, so good to have these in NS.

We bought a pool and salt water system from Walmart after being told that all you need is pool salt and a weekly shock....boy were we wrong.... After filling out pool(we're on a well) and started the pump going, the water turned a horrible brown(couldn't see the bottom), so we grabbed a bit of water and off to McBurney's we went. Within 3 secs of being in the store, someone was there offering help, took our water and did a sample and told us what we needed and the process to do it. So we came home and started it right away, within 6 hrs you could notice a hugh difference and this morning we have a beautiful sparkling pool. This is going to be our pool place from now on...Thanks for the awesome customer service!!

Poor customer service. Required replacement screws for my top plate because after 4 years my so called stainless screws were so rusty I had to drill them out. Original screws were steel, didn't have any replacements, called said they would check and return my call, didn't had to go and basically said I was wrong. No help. Previously my heat pump broke, which I purchased from them, no help, considered a dealership absolutely no after sales support.

Forget customer service, some of the ladies working there don't even have any social skills. No greeting, no offer of help, not a word spoken to me until the amount I'm to pay. Not all are the same though, a couple of the younger guys are very knowledgeable and friendly, unfortunately a few bad apples ruin it for the bunch.

McBurney is a gem of a store. If ever you have any questions or needs for pool or spa related items, look no further. I am from Quebec and although Trevi is a large pool supply store here, they were not helpful at all in answering my questions. I then researched my model of pool and found McBurney as a retailer, but in Nova Scotia. I contacted them anyway and they jumped right on helping me through fine my items and we communicated through text. It was quick and helpful. Holly was instrumental in not only asking the right questions but doing the research to find my missing parts. Right from the get go, she was on top of it. What great customer service and patience. My edited review does not seem to be showing up. I originally ranked them high for customer service but it’s only good if it’s convenient to them. They sold new a defective part and said they were sending another out right away. They did not do this and my hot tub sits full of water waiting for a part. When asked about it, they tried to blame me for this. I would post the text but it is too lengthy.
