But after viewing the whole process, I admit that this was absolutely necessary and something you should consider doing regularly (once a year). I have been a customer of Breathe Clean since the beginning. I like most customers was not informed that the units needed to be cleaned. After 2 years of having my heat pump the disgusting sludge that came out of my machine was unreal. Back then Tom was the only technician and he was so informed and what should have been a 2 hour service was about 4 hours since it was so dirty and I was not charged any extra for the amount of time it took. Just got mine done for this year and if I recall correctly the price has not changed and the service is just as impeccable now as it was then. I am so pleased with this business and the service they provide I have recommended them to at least 5 other people with success in growing their customer base.

We've been using Breathe Clean for the last three years to maintain our ductless mini split heat pump. Their service is always timely and efficient. Breathe Clean came as a referral from our original heat pump installers who were unavailable for several months. I never thought about this service until the time came that our heat pump began to smell like a basement, and we knew that it was likely mold in the unit. And we were showing physical symptoms of morning headaches, dry throat and irritated sinuses which seemed to support that we had mold in the unit. The ladies I booked the appointment with were incredibly fast in their replies, one even replied on a Sunday evening! They had a cancellation and fit me in almost 4 weeks earlier. The fact that they are this busy, and this is all they do, should say something about their service. Tom, the service tech, was running about 45 minutes behind and as you would expect of a professional, they keep you updated. He called slightly before his appointment time and told me he'd be about an hour later. It was less than an hour when he showed. And as other reviewers mentioned, he had clean indoor shoes so as to respect you and your home. Within 3 weeks of the unit being cleaned, my wife and I started to feel improvements. There were no more morning headaches or irritated respiratory tract issues. Our heat pump was only 3 years old and it was moldy and I clean the filters as recommended. There are only 2 of us in the house, we work all day and have no pets and our house is kept VERY clean. If our heat pump gets like that, what would one look like of a larger family with pets look like? Isn't your home, and your family's health worth the nominal $161 (taxes included, and it depends on number of heads) that Breathe Clean charge? I definitely recommend using Breathe Clean and it will become part of our yearly home maintenance plan.

Breathe Clean came to my rescue when the original installers could not come out for 5 months. I've had ductless mini splits for a few years, and know that they get mold in them (which you usually are not told when they are installed), especially after a summer like we just had - using the dehumidifier a lot - creates condensation. I saw the mold on the louver and on the inside and could not wait until January! I called Breathe Clean and the lovely person on the other end of the phone worked with other customers to fit me in, in an expedited manner. The gentleman that came to clean my unit was great - knowledgeable, personable, trusting and funny (plus he likes dogs)! Even though I already knew what could come out of the unit, he showed me the gunk again. I am so glad that I called Breathe Clean that I booked them again for next year! I highly recommend them!

The folks at Breath Clean are genuine Nova Scotian’s that truly care about their clients, they are friendly professionals that really opens my eyes to how dirty my heat pumps actually was. I was referred to them by a friend, I called them in the evening when most of their competitors were closed, they were able to answer my questions and set up an appointment that worked for my schedule. The rep (Rob) showed up right on time, he set expectations by going over the process, estimate timeline and got right to work. He explained all that all of the cleaners are plant based eco friendly products. Rob also invited me to watch and take pictures of the process, he started with the outdoor units, cleaning the coils and fans, then came inside and carefully dismantled the heat pump covers, and gave them a thorough cleaning, he then carefully washed down the indoor units coils, fan blades and everything else that showed the least bit of dirt. He then reassembled everything and tested to make sure it was working and started the process all over again fo my second unit. The whole process took 3.5 hrs. I cannot believe the difference it made, and how disgusting my heat pumps were. I highly recommend giving them a call, it truly makes a difference, I can now breathe clean air

The technician who came was on time, professional, did a great job, and made sure to put everything back as it was before he left. However that night one of the heat pumps made an awful noise - I contacted Michelle the next morning to check if maybe the tech put something back incorrectly etc. Her husband called me to discuss and within an hour or two they were both at my home to inspect the issue. They were both wonderful people to chat with and they fixed the issue (as much as they could, it’s a part we need to replace that just sounded worse once the machine was clean). I was very impressed with how quickly they responded to me with all of our correspondence and how willing they were to come assess our unit right away (even though they were able to tell from a video I sent what the issue likely was). I would definitely recommend them and would use again in the future.

This is the fourth year Breathe-Clean has cleaned my mini-split heat pumps. I have two separate units. Tom did so the first three years; this year Rob serviced both . They are very reliable, very friendly, very thorough and very efficient. This year Tom meticulously cleaned BOTH the inside units and the outside units. He spent a lot of time on my main unit, the one most used. He also detected a problem with the drainage duct ( it was partially blocked) and he thoroughly flushed it out, preventing a potential problem in the near future. I clean the filters every week, but I know after using the AC or dehumidifying cycles on the systems, there is usually mold due to the condensation.
